This is one of our favorite cellars in the warehouse district. Generally, I like white wines more, and when it comes to reds, I am super picky. Icon makes smooth, well balanced reds and whites. We especially love their Dupape! I was surprised how much I actually like it. We bought two bottles home and will be back for more! We also enjoy chatting with the friendly and knowledgeable cellar master and the owner. They are very passionate about what they do and definitely know what they are doing! Icon was our first stop for the 2018 wine passport. I think other wineries will have a tough act to follow.

Had an excellent experience wine tasting at icon cellars. They had a selection of 2 white (+rose) & 2 reds. All of them were great. Really nice cozy ambiance for a chill evening with friends. The area has a number of other tasting rooms as well and plenty of parking.

It's rare that I've done a wine tasting (2 whites, 2 reds) and LOVED all 4 of them. Especially whites, as I'm not a big white wine fan. They were all so great and complex. The owner was there serving us the whole time and did a great job at answering any questions we had. Also, I will say he is SO patient! One of our guests was being high maintenance and he handled her so well. Lol. We all bought a bottle or two after the tasting because they were great.

I had a lovely time at Icon Cellars today. The Tasting Room Manager, Valerie, was friendly and knew a lot about the wines. The Winemaker, Jim, stopped by and it was great to be able to chat with him too. I ended up buying their white blend and their Tempranillo blend.

Super cute spot with very generous pours for tastings. The outdoor patio keeps you nice and coveted from whatever the weather tries to throw at you. Try the Malbec!

The owner/wine maker has an Amazing personality and we certainly enjoyed both the wine as well as his company. My favorite among the reds was Dolce Tiempo 2018. If you go for a tasting, be sure to grab a few plates from the "the picnic table" next door.

    Sunshine, great wine and music

Really satisfying wines, and got to have great conversations with the owner. A good place to find really flavorful, agreeable wines.

05/24/2026 TASTING…read moreROOM I loved visiting this winery and can't believe I didn't the few other times I traveled to Seattle. They do a summer concert series, and it was the first one of the season. My friend and I got there early, and only one other group had started lining up for VIP. So we went to the tasting room and grabbed seats at the bar. They were offering a $30 "Take Away Flight" with both red and white wine options. I got three reds and the white that they promoted for the summer concert series. All of them were pretty good. I loved how the wine flight was presented (see photo). I would definitely go back just to hang out at the winery next time and drink more. SUMMER CONCERT SERIES I thought the concert would be well organized since this isn't their first time. However, the staff seemed lost when it came to when and where the VIP check-in would be. We had Soundcheck VIP tickets for Yellowcard, and didn't get to go in until like 45 minutes after the scheduled time. So that cut into the VIPs' early entry time. Fortunately we got to the merch tables right before they let general admission in. There were plenty of porta potties. A decent amount of food options. We got a burger and chicken fingers & fries. Of course they offered wine, as well as beer. You also had the option to buy wine bottles at the winery and bring it into the concert area. We sat front row, which had a great view, but it was also right in front of a walkway, so that was a bit annoying. Watching soundcheck and the concert itself was very fun. Overall a good experience, and I would go back!

Chateau St. Michelle has gone from 5 Stars to 3 Stars in my book - at least for GA concert seating…read more It's still awesome if you're purchasing reserved seating. What changed? Live Nation, who apparently is running the concert venue, is a KILL JOY. Total BUZZKILL. They have gone crazy with their non-sensical security rules. If you strictly adhere to the guidelines they posted, you can bring one chair and one bag that's 6x9 inches! Despite what they wrote on their website, they will also let you bring in one small, clear plastic bag of food per person. NO COOLER, NO BIG BAG OF STUFF, NO OUTSIDE BEVERAGES (including water). No anything else, either. You can take more stuff with you on a commercial flight than into this venue. As I said, if you're purchasing reserved seats, this experience is likely closer to expectations, although even there I used to bring a small cooler. Not any more. So, what do they think? Some old fart is going to pack an Uzi in the potato salad? Give me a break. These concerts don't exactly attract a wild crowd. Biggest problem they're likely to have here is someone losing their dentures in the grass. Safety is one thing, but draconian, nonsensical rules that kill so much of the joy of the experience is another. Someone in our party had a reusable plastic shopping bag (you know, one of the ones we all had to buy when they outlawed regular plastic shopping bags). Not allowed. They put the food in a clear plastic bag at security so we could take it in (thank you!), but then they insisted that the completely EMPTY re-usable plastic bag be thrown away (or carried back to the car). Chairs and mats that everyone brought in often came in larger, solid canvas and similar material bags. Those were fine. But not the shopping bag. Make that make sense. (You can dismiss this entire rant as "modern problems." I get it. In the scheme of things, this isn't a big deal. But, it's just one more erosion in a long list of erosions of the freedom and joy we used to have. It doesn't have to be this way. We shouldn't have to fear for our very lives going to a concert like this. And, that's the basis for the draconian rules and the foundation for the experience.) Second issue - they cancelled the concert shuttle, but didn't tell anyone and didn't post any signs at the lot or anywhere else. People were cycling through that lot for a while. They said they didn't sell enough tickets to justify the shuttle, but the venue looked as full as it usually does to me. Regardless, they should have at least put a sign in the shuttle parking lot so people didn't have to sit around wondering. Then, there's the $55 dollar parking across the street that's, yeah - $55. Fortunately, there was another lot run by another group down the street for just $20 and the money went to local charitable group - so money better spent there. The venue is still awesome. It's absolutely beautiful. All the staff were very pleasant and nice. Many were obviously going out of their way to make up for the draconian rules about which many people were complaining. Traffic getting out was crazy, as usual - even for those just trying to walk off the grounds. That's typical. I would have thought they could have improved the "walk-out" by now (it's been years and never done well), but apparently draconian security took priority. I would give a big shoutout and thank you to the Chateau for keeping their winery store open for much of the concert and NOT jacking up prices. That's wonderful!! You can buy your wine at regular winery prices (which are similar to any other retail), unlike Marymoore Park where the cheapest bottle will be a $20 bottle selling for $80+ and values only get worse from there. I stuck to wine, so I'm not sure what they charge for other beverages. I might go back if I'm splurging for the reserved seats, but I'm not sure GA makes a lot of sense anymore. It's always a balance on security, but that balance has been completely lost. We're now into -- "those who trade their security for their freedom will end up with neither." That's a thing and it seems we're now on that road.

They were quite busy but had numerous servers. Unfortunately I think they were getting their signals crossed for who was handling whom. Nonetheless the servers were kind and trying to shuffle serving tables. The tasting menu had changed since November which meant trying different kinds! I really don't like Rose usually because it tends to have what I feel is a muddled taste not typically distinguishable... BUT I REALLY liked theirs!! So much so that we purchased a bottle for another day. **2023 Sangiovese Rose: sweet with tinge of citrus; don't like rose but really liked it!! **2022 Viognier: tart with strong apple taste; the tart was a bit strong for me but typically I like Viognier **2020 Aviator: tastes of cherry and chocolate; medium dry- I don't love dry wines so it wasn't my favorite **2020 Reserve Merlot: intense aroma with bold flavor of cherry and blackberry and chocolate and smokiness- and a tinge of dryness and some acidity going down; this one was ok just wish for less dryness ** 2020 Reserve Syrah: deep aroma of bold fruits like cherry plum hints of tobacco and dark chocolate; fruity taste with a delayed acidity with just a touch of dryness; my favorite of the three reds
