a bar with bottles of wine
Conner J.

We have been to about 60 wineries at this point and this goes down as one of the best designs (especially for a small indoor setting). Many wineries have a theme that they half hardily lean into by having similar wine names, glacier really works their theme (hiking/backpacking) well to a quite impressive degree. While they have the typical theme ideas such as wine names and pictures matching their theme, they also have their entire design to match: they have a gorgeous hand crafted wood and polymer table with well lit rocks below, geo maps as an accent wallpaper, mountain distance signs, and coolest of all backpacking meal wine pairing suggestions. I think atmosphere makes a big difference when enjoying wine which is why I am emphasizing their attention to goof design and theme. The wine itself had a good nose to it with floral fresh and fruity smell that was reminiscent of the trails on their bottle. While I was not drinking that day, those who were seemed to really enjoy it. If you are into hiking (and let's face it, aren't we all), and enjoy a good wine for your trip, this is the place to get it.

This is the first wine club I'm a member of and I am so glad I found this hidden gem. The story of the winemaker is pretty cool and I just so happened to be there my first time when she popped by. I joined a wine club AND met the winemaker?!?! I was beyond excited and pretty dorky about it. The winemaker is an avid hiker and her tasting room is designed with that vibe. One wall is a topographical map (the right description?) and another big map with highlighted areas on wine regions in WA. Her wines are named after hikes she's done (yes, she's hiked Mailbox ;) and wine club members are called "dirtbags." I'm sorry, what's not to love? They have a bar type seating in the front room and there's a small cozy nook in the back with seating as well. I've only sat up front. It's a small space, but it feels more intimate. There are no fees to join and they don't make you purchase their release - well, they had a new release within the last month or two and I didn't need to purchase it. But when the new release comes out in the Spring, I will get my first release of six wines! There's an option for 12 too. You get discounts on wines and tasting and since I joined I brought my sister in and she's going to join as well. The wine - now I'm not a wine connoisseur and I prefer reds, but everything I've tasted so far O Iike. I am not a rosé person, but OMG SO GOOD! I'm converted there for sure. I think you need to see for yourself cause my descriptions won't do them justice. Go and visit! I like to go on Saturdays because I love the staff that works there on that day. They're open Saturday and Sundays. Check them out!

Love this tasting room! It just opened in Artisan Hill right next to Callan. Glacier View combines two of my favorite things wine and the outdoors (it's hiking themed). The owner is super friendly, really knows wine and gave us some awesome hiking trail recommendations. And the wine! I'm a big red fan and her Cab was excellent but I went home with a bottle of Gruner, it's perfect for sunny days!

A great venue/winery/space/area/garden all in one! This…read moreplace is arguably the top of must-go-to places in Woodinville. It's a winery with vast outdoor gardens, lawns, and places to enjoy the spring and summer weather. Inside is a massive area with plenty of tables to listen to live music usually every weekend that goes throughout the fall and winter. They have some amazing wine offerings. Plenty of options on the cellar wall or chilled in the fridge. Our personal favorite is the White Cabernet Sauvignon. Service is quick and efficient, though we often just skip the bar - grab a bottle and checkout at the main register area where you will also get glasses. Take the bottle outside or grab a table, or if the venue open for one of the summer concerts, definitely worth going inside the main winery area instead of the vendors outside with limited options. Summer concert series is hit and miss. Can bring some great options and acoustics are great! However, sometimes the seats are absurdly high priced - and the crowd around you can be a mixed bag that seemingly just buys the season pass for all the concerts instead of going for a specific event. Overall - great place to go, if you can catch a concert, within your budget, definitely go! One of the better outdoor venues in Western WA.

What a cute, bougie spot. Chateau Ste. Michelle really stands in a league of its own -- you can…read morefind their wines in just about any store, and they're shipped worldwide. We stopped in for glasses of wine since we didn't want to splurge on a full tasting, and I appreciated that this was an option. We didn't have a reservation and arrived on a quiet, rainy Sunday, though I can imagine this place filling up quickly on sunny days or holidays. Was it more expensive than expected? Yes -- glasses ran between $16-$18. They are pouring their run of the mill table wines here. They also had food menus on the tables, which you order from the bar and have brought out to you. Overall, a lovely place to visit and experience, especially if you're already a fan of the brand.

(just me) Ambiance was great nice cool laid back. Great place to be on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Lots of people out and about. Prices are slightly pricey- overall worth it! Splurging a little on yourself and others makes life so much fun. Garage parking! Buy a bottle and your pairing wines are comped. Located in Woodinville's newish trendy neighborhood, Woodin Creek Village, Bayernmoor is nestled among several tasting rooms so I had never noticed them before. My bad! First, I really enjoyed the ambiance here. It was modern elegance, with our reserved seating area featuring comfy seating on low chairs and couches. It was hard to pick from among their many wine tasting options - including several including accompanying bites. Nom nom! I settled on a tasting flight of whites, and my work colleague ordered us some tasty nibbles from their extensive appy menu. We especially enjoyed their upscale cheese & charcuterie board, their burrata with grilled bread, and an order of charred root vegetables with a delightful harissa sauce. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. The wines, of course, were delish. And our server was top notch - always there with the next tasting and to answer our questions about what to order. I'll definitely be back!
