Thames Street Oyster House repeatedly came up as a must-visit for Baltimore restaurants and I can…read moretotally see why! The ambience is very cute - there are multiple floors to the restaurant so one given area doesn't feel overly crowded. The cocktail menu has some fun and unique options and the food menu has something for everyone! We got the mussels to start, and honestly I was so hungry I forgot to take a picture. But the sauce was delicious and I loved the potatoes that came with it. The mussels themselves were very large too! For my main I got the hake, which was so tender and flavorful. It was a generous portion and I was stuffed, but we kept seeing other people order the coffee cake and couldn't help ourselves. I'm so glad we got it, because I'm not normally huge into coffee cake, but this was so delicious that we finished it all! Our server had great recommendations and was patient as we took a long time deciding what to order. I can't wait to come back!

Despite the food and drinks being actually *amazing*, I felt that service wasn't overly friendly or welcoming. It was also a bit disappointing they did nothing to help us celebrate/acknowledge our anniversary. We had been saving this spot for a truly special occasion, and felt like it was just a regular dinner to them. Would definitely come back, but would maybe save the special occasions for somewhere else.

There were no other customers there but in the short time I waited for my food, about 3 or 4 customers came in to order. I planned to order my food to go but although empty, I could feel the vibes so I dined inside. I went with the stuffed salmon, collard greens and Mac and cheese were my sides. I also ordered a side of sweet potatoes because I could smell cinnamon/soul food the minute I walked through the door. My first bite was the collard greens, so was my second, third and forth. I couldn't stop! Then I tried the stuffed salmon, perfection!!! I almost ordered it without the old bay aioli because I was nervous about it making the salmon too salty. I'm glad I ordered as is. It is BOMB!! It's stuffed, really stuffed, possibly with a whole nice size crab cake on top, in addition to the crab meat inside the fish. Next bite was the Mac and cheese. Gosh it was so flavorful. I'd like it a little cheesier but I'm still ordering again on my next visit. Lastly was the sweet potatoes. Divine!!! So good! They were more like mashed sweet potatoes which I love! And listen .... If they add sweet potato pie to the menu and use the same recipe as they do for the sides .... My lord!! Take my money! Heading back to try the stuffed lamb chops, potato salad and the brunch menu. I glanced quickly and the first thing I saw was "The Notorious T-Bone", t- bone steak, cheese eggs and welch's grape. Stop playing with meeeee Highly recommend!! Already told friends!

I was surprised that there wasn't anyone in there at that time. It may just have been that time of day. The place is quaint with about 10 tables and a few seats at the bar. After reviewing the menu, which is heavy on the seafood, I went with the Wing platter which comes with 6 wings and two sides. I ordered the Mac and collard greens. $15. Not bad for the amount of food you get. I didn't get my wings tossed because I wanted to try the wings naked. I did ask for a side of honey lemon pepper. Overall the food was tasty. Greens and Mac were both really good. Not overly salty, which was a plus. The Mac was creamy and very cheesy. I enjoyed the wings, but will prob get them tossed in a sauce next time. The wing by itself lacked a bit of seasoning. Nothing a little hot sauce couldn't fix!! Was happy with the service, quality of food and overall experience. I'll def be back.

Unfortunately we couldn't sit outside but got to be next to a window overlooking the water. The young waiters and waitresses were attentive. The crab cake in my crab cake sandwich was good but everything else in that burger was as mediocre as it gets. Shrimp po boy was quite dry. I was glad I got to substitute my chips for a side salad though. Overall, good dining experience but I would try some other menu items next time.

We went recently but had kids, so just did some apps and drinks on the deck. ***no HH outside*** just an fyi My fav drink is their Sagamore Crush! Unbeatable. We got the deck fries - they're great fries that come with 2 great dipping sauces. They're also the type of dry you wanna drench in malt vinegar and dip in ketchup. However, I really dont know that you can enough to justify a $10 price tag. Crab egg rolls - they were the table favorite. Crab Pretzel - nice and soft. good for sharing. the flavor was simple and to the point. not heavily seasoned. shrimp mac and cheese - cavatappi noodles yayyyy. I think they're the best for mac and cheese. cheese is super creamy with just a light bake on top. I think its PERFECT.

I really appreciated her vibe, and I noticed that when food is ready, she actually comes out from behind the counter to hand-deliver it to customers. That kind of small gesture goes a long way. The place is mostly carry-out, but there are a few bar-style seats if you want to eat there. The menu isn't your typical fast food lineup either, they've got some creative, non-traditional options that definitely stand out. We tried the Jerk Chicken Cheesesteak, Fried Chicken Sandwich, 1908 Chicken Cheesesteak, and Fish Tacos, and they were all delicious. Seriously, everything was seasoned well and packed with flavor, with the exception of our fries, which isn't the end of the world. The jerk cheesesteak had a nice kick without being too spicy, and the fried chicken sandwich had the perfect crunch. For drinks, we had the Strawberry Lemonade and the Peach Half & Half, both were refreshing and hit that perfect sweet spot without being too sugary. Overall, Café 1908 has a cool vibe, great food, and friendly service. It's one of those hidden gems you're glad you stumbled across.

I chose a jerk chicken quesadilla and my bf chose the cheesesteak melt. We also ordered a side of fries. I heated up the fries a bit once we got home since they were a bit cold from the walk back; they were well seasoned and tasty. The cheesesteak and quesadilla were both good. I enjoyed the roasted peppers in my quesadilla. Overall, this spot was good and I'd order from here again.
