K & J were incredibly accommodating and took special care to be sure that there was no cross contamination because my niece and nephews all have FPIES. Here is a breakdown of what we ordered and feedback: Fruit and veggie platters = fantastic! Fresh cut and large portions on both trays as well as dips for each. Charcuterie tray = good! I would suggest ordering a larger tray instead of the smaller one because there were lots of dips but not quite enough meat, cheese and crackers for the small one. Food and mix of food on the tray was fantastic! Sandwich platter = Excellent! I didn't know that a chicken sandwich could be that good! Presentation was beautiful and food was excellent. I highly recommend Kat & Jordy's and will 100% use them again for catering and will order for a night that I don't want to cook.

My sandwich came with the Potato Chips and homemade Three Onion Sour Cream and Pickles Dip.....ok I will confess the Philly Sour Cream Dip you buy at Beckers is one of my secret go to's.....I could kill a whole bag of ruffles and that dip. This dip kicks the crap out of that times 100.....i'm glad I can't buy this at Metro or I would weigh 500lbs by xmas. The onions are perfectly caramelized to add such a sweetness to the dip.....ummmmm - I may need to order some tomorrow. and the pickles.......ok, I hate dill pickles.....always have, but apparently they have changed me.....they make their own, and it's a combination of sweet and sour - very crispy and sweet.....nummy. my dessert was their butter tart......I have a weakness for butter tarts and they certainly stepped up to my tart fetish, and for the record their homemade butter tart is $1.50....pretty sure I've paid double that before. I was looking for a local prepared meal provider. Someone to compete with We Cook. I did some…read moregoogling and found Flava Daddy. The meals *are* very flavourful. I have chosen the "Carb Hater" meals. I get double veg instead of a side of rice or potato or pasta. They are delivered to my door, still warm, by one of Flava Daddy's drivers in a reusable bag. So I don't have to deal with another cardboard box or bags of ice. I've been getting deliveries of six meals a week for about three weeks and I'm loving it. They come in a semi-reusable Glad plastic container. The nutrition and macros etc aren't listed on the packaging. That's one downside. I think they estimate the Carb hater meals (on the website) as being between 300-450 calories. I'd prefer a more exact breakdown. A better website would be another plus. As is, you can buy your subscription online and you don't need to make any calls but a more in depth site that is a tad easier to navigate would be beneficial. For a local business option in the prepared meal delivery area I would recommend Flava Daddy.

I've been wondering if anybody had khao soi in Ottawa since my return from a month over in Thailand…read moreand an extended portion of that in Chiang Mai. After searching around for reviews all over the place, Wandee sounded like they had some had khao soi that was as good as you find in Chiang Mai. Parking in the area is plenty but free parking might be harder to find, either way, lots of parking. It looks like it's mostly a pickup counter and they have a picnic table setup outside and a few other tables. Staff are super friendly. I placed my order oh khao soi and took it to go. When I got home and popped the lid, it smelled pretty nice but looking at the order, I felt like I might have got the wrong order. I poked around in it a little bit and there were definitely noodles in it. Did the taste test...honestly, I'm not sure what it was but it tasted like they may have taken a yellow curry dish and tossed some noodles in it and sent it to go. Wasn't a fan of their khao soi as it was lacking any depth or intensity. It was extremely thick and creamy as well. If this is just their yellow curry, I don't think it's for me. May try a different dish if I return but definitely won't get getting this again.
