She asked if there were any other spots I noticed, and gladly removed them as well. I thought the prices were fair. $10 to dry clean a dress, and she charged me $8 to hem a blouse that needed to be taken in. I also had suede heels with black scuffs and markings that I figured wouldn't come out easily. Linh took them out in 30 seconds with dry cleaner solution. $5, not bad. She's quick, too. You'll be in and out without any lines. With three things to carry, I knew my hands would be full, so I told her I'd be back for the rest. Before I knew it, she was right behind me heading towards my car to put the rest in the vehicle. Such a sweet woman. Linh cares about quality work, and she treats her customers well. Courteous and prompt service, what's there not to love? Give this woman your business, she deserves it.

I called Alterations Plus Wednesday evening 20 minutes before they closed, spoke with Jay (the owner), and he told me if I came in at 8AM the next morning, they could get it done. AND THANK GOD I WENT WITH THEM! Maria, their bridal seamstress, was just amazing. She saw exactly what needed to be done and got it fixed in 24 hours! My dress fits better than I did after the first alterations. Despite this entire experience beginning with complete panic, Jay, Maria, and Megan put my mind at ease. The women here are kind, but that's about the only good thing I can say. I honestly don't know if they're inexperienced or just have never worked with a Black woman's curves before, but not one, not two, but three of my dresses were completely botched. I also had a top altered and it came back lopsided. After the first round of alterations, the owner tried to gaslight me, saying they had only adjusted the strap for my burgundy dress (which was never the main issue). I initially asked for the sides to be taken in because the bust area was too big, but somehow, that got lost in translation. So I paid AGAIN, for all to be fixed and what I got back was even worse. Everything felt rushed, uneven, and downright sloppy. I bawled my eyes out because these dresses were meant for my birthday trip. The white dress? It was the most horrendous one, imagine the outline of Sarah Baartman on a modern-day garment. That's how distorted the shape was. Even after a third attempt, the seams were still crooked and the dress was unwearable. I'm now left dressless for my trip and out of money. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

Stafford Tailoring was able to take a piece from the bottom and place it near the zipper to let it out, as well as fix the shoulders. So it didn't hang weird. Also the bottom was cut and hemmed beautifully. It was only about $80 which was half the price if David's. They saved me, since there was no time to re-order the dreas , since it was a custom color. I have also brought lots of school uniform pants for my son and they were only $8 to hem, which was $2 less per garmet than the uniform company.

It was a few sizes too big, but I got it because it seemed like a gem. I knew I wanted to get it tailored and trimmed to fit my body a bit better, so it would not fit like a flowy night gown. So I Googled what tailors were close by, and which had ease of parking. I found Franks which is a good less than five minute drive away from my house, and it's in a nice big lot. I called and asked if they tailor t-shirts they said yes and I would bring it in tomorrow. The next day. I was greeted by this amazingly cheerful woman who basically gave me the run down as I had never used a tailor before. She had me try the shirt on and stand in front of a mirror. She sized it up, and told me of a more affordable option for trimming the shirt, and the more expensive one. I just wanted the shirt to not be as baggy as it was on me, so I did what would be best, and went with the cost effective one. Total cost was $28 & it's cash or check only on jobs like this. Only cards if you're tailoring suits. Said it would take a few days to do and we agreed to pick up the shirt on Monday afternoon, (this was on Thursday.) I had work Friday and Saturday. I got a call the following day and said it was ready. I had informed the person on the phone, I had work until 5PM, which by then they would be closed. So I said I would definitely be there on Monday to pick it up. I got there today and the guy working there was extremely kind and welcoming. Handed me the shirt and had me try it on. It fit so much better than before! Not too loose and not too constricting! Love it! He rang me up and it was a very pleasant interaction! Seems like an old fashioned mom and pop place. That is very appreciative of everyone that walks into their shop. Very awesome place. I'm glad I chose Franks to get a cool thrift shop find tailored! I'm also glad I can finally wear this cool power metal shirt when I'm out and about! Thank you, Franks!
