It took him literally 2 seconds. I was skeptical at first. It was a Saturday and the girl said Wednesday. I returned Wednesday to get the pants, same girl took care of me. Quick in and out. I didn't check them there, but checked at home. Perfect fit! That guy is good! Very impressed!

Absolutely terrible experience! We were referred to this alteration place by another tailor who was…read morebooked up due to prom season. The women here are kind, but that's about the only good thing I can say. I honestly don't know if they're inexperienced or just have never worked with a Black woman's curves before, but not one, not two, but three of my dresses were completely botched. I also had a top altered and it came back lopsided. After the first round of alterations, the owner tried to gaslight me, saying they had only adjusted the strap for my burgundy dress (which was never the main issue). I initially asked for the sides to be taken in because the bust area was too big, but somehow, that got lost in translation. So I paid AGAIN, for all to be fixed and what I got back was even worse. Everything felt rushed, uneven, and downright sloppy. I bawled my eyes out because these dresses were meant for my birthday trip. The white dress? It was the most horrendous one, imagine the outline of Sarah Baartman on a modern-day garment. That's how distorted the shape was. Even after a third attempt, the seams were still crooked and the dress was unwearable. I'm now left dressless for my trip and out of money. If I could give this place zero stars, I would.

She was completely professional and clearly very knowledgeable, with decades of experience. She took in my torso/bust seams from the sides and did not over-complicate the bustle (3 points was perfect for my train). Unlike some wedding dress seamstresses, Lucy did not tack on any unnecessary charges or work. She was very fair in her pricing ($210 for 3 point bustle, taking in torso and shoulder seams of lace dress with beading). From beginning to end, my wedding dress alterations took 3 weeks, which included an initial and then second fitting. Stay away from the fake seamstresses trying to make a buck off of you (asking a few too many questions that are not about your dress at all...? Not a good sign.). BOTTOM LINE: Lucy is trustworthy and does quality work.

Masks were worn at all times to adhere to state-mandated guidelines and we felt comfortable and safe. Our original wedding date was January 2021, however, as the pandemic worsened, we decided to move our wedding up to October 2020 in order to have a safer and smaller event outside. With only three weeks to spare, Anna was able to alter my wedding gown, a junior bridesmaid dress, a flower girl dress, a mother of the bride dress, and grandmother of the bride dress. Each dress came out beautifully and fit amazing! I was especially nervous about my wedding gown, which had a unique neckline that did not fit me well based on the size I needed to order for my hips. Anna assured me throughout every fitting it was going to be perfect and she was completely right. The dress fit like a glove and was better than I remembered it on the day I bought it. I truly can't thank her enough for making myself and the ladies in my family look so beautiful in our dresses.

My dress was entirely beaded so it definitely needed a gentle and skilled hand which Anna's alterations has! You can see the beading on the dress as well as the finished back where they took it in. Seamless.

My experience with Dermody Cleaners was a terrible one, and I cannot warn you enough to STAY AWAY!…read moreI recently moved to the area and saw that "alterations" was listed on the window. When I stopped in, I was told they don't do that. I should have taken my dry cleaner elsewhere but wanted to support a local business. This all started October 17th when I dropped off a silk Kate Spade blouse. A week or so later I went to pick it up and none of my items were ready, even though my receipt stated they would be by October 21st. The woman at the counter mentioned they were in the bags but hadn't yet been unpacked. I went back the following week and was told the blouse needed some extra attention. No one ever contacted me, I went back a third time to be told it was lost. I had to keep calling for any updates complete with the owner demanding to see a receipt, when I purchased it, etc. In the end, my $200 shirt was reimbursed *$40* because the owner felt it had depreciated in value. It was practically brand new since it was kept in storage (I recently lost weight to fit into it again). This is the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced and cannot warn you enough to bring your dry cleaning to any other establishment.
