Yoga sculpt with Brittney was so fun! She's a great instructor that keeps the energy of the room upbeat in a comfortable way. Check-in was super easy and the staff were brief and clear in what I would need for class. The locker room was clean and they have a hair dryer and hair bands available. Lockers were large and I didn't need to bring my own locker. Class was challenging and the room does get hot but moments with the door open were well-timed. After class, tea was available in the lobby for sipping and they have a nice selection of wellness products to browse around. read more

I was literally one minute late. 6:01 pm. I rushed to make it on time. I guess what I would have like if they would have stated how early you have to be there. And I may lose my credits in class pass. I understand the on time thing but this was definitely icky and now I don't want to even try to go there again. This was also my first time here. A truly special place. I grew up in the IE wishing for places like this and moving back I was so so happy to see this studio in my hometown. I signed up about 4 years ago and have been on an amazing yoga journey since. Upon walking in you are greeted with warm and friendly staff eager to help you and show you around. Was stoked to take the YOGA HIIT class this morning at 9am. I haven't done yoga in years but am very active and thought what the heck? Plus, this studio is now right down the street from my house. I booked Celia's class and I guess the best way to describe it is, if you want to take a class with an instructor that doesn't want you to be there, she's your gal! Rude, condescending and overall not welcoming at all. Class started late- no problem. It's the rude comments throughout class to me and one other new girl. My poor posture even "frustrated her" at one point. She growled that in class out loud. Even contemplated leaving at one point but thought that I should finish what I started. One of the ladies that took the class caught up to me at my car and politely let me know Celia is known to be rude and highly recommended ANY other instructor. What an unprofessional boutique. So upsetting. Either the girls are looking down their nose at customers, talking with their far more important friends, ignoring customers, or they're so focused on showing how superior they are they get in the way of just doing simple business. I've been there a few times, always the same: rude and ridiculous. Today I decided to just simply buy something, since it's faster than getting it delivered - even at a higher cost - to support a local business for Black Friday. I thought better of it in the end as my experience was so crappy there, and wanted to return what I'd just bought an hour before. Store credit only?! She knew I'm not from here, and I was there just an hour and a half before! You guys really solidified I don't want to go there again. Do yourself a favor: just order online or go to the brand's store directly. Wish I had. I like supporting small business, but not when you're treated sh*tty, at a much higher cost ($30 more for one thing !) and forcing holding the money in such a way. The clothing lines they carry all accept returns, offer better prices and don't hold your money for a simple return! Dirty little business in every way. MPower; you won the sale (bravo!) and lost business with me forever. The worker said the owner wasn't available to ask about it, and handed me a general info email address. I was very excited about this class, but unfortunately the instructor Celia Koshak was very rude. Her energy was horrible. I've tried other yoga classes before at different locations and I have never experienced anything like this before. As a new guest I did not feel welcomed. She made rude remarks like "monkey see monkey do" which I found very racial. She shamed me for drinking water saying "you're dehydrated if you're drinking water!" When really I drink plenty water daily, I just needed a drink during a hiit class in a heated room! Overpriced (currently $175 a month!) and terrible customer service. MPower has bad business practices - see all other negative reviews for similar examples. They don't make you feel valued as a customer, they just want the $$ in your bank account. There are now several other better and much less expensive options in Rancho which include: YogaSix, Xhale, Bikram, etc. Ironically, this place is NOT empowering to (pregnant) women. My wife was a member of this studio for several years. When she became pregnant, she requested to freeze her membership since prenatal classes were NOT being offered and after a few months she was unable to continue with most of the movements. Her monthly rate was "grandfathered" at $145 since she was a longtime member. The owner refused to allow her to freeze her membership despite the policy on her website clearly stating that it could not be frozen with less than 10 days notice. We were perfectly fine with giving more than 10 days notice. Regardless, the owner refused and immediately changed the policy language on her website the very next morning to disallow freezing of any kind. She essentially gave us two options: 1) keep paying $145 for a membership we can't use due to pregnancy limitations, or 2) cancel and restart the membership after pregnancy at the higher $175 rate. Way to congratulate us on the pregnancy huh? What bothered us most was that she claimed disallowing us from freezing our membership allows her studio to "support all members equally". How insincere. She should have just said she wants to provide a lack of support equally, or just be perfectly honest and tell us you'd prefer to raise the price on us. We would have respected her honesty more than some insincere corporate HR-like response. We can afford the increase but for the value it's definitely not worth it, there are much better studios out there for a lot less $$, and the overall customer experience just left a bad taste in our mouth. read more

I have been going to Mpower for almost 4 years and I started at Claremont but I will drive out to Rancho solely to go take classes with some of my favorite instructors. It's worth the drive!! You know you are going to get a great workout with great community. And I will say Rancho location has claremont beat with having showers! It makes it so convenient!! Love all the instructors , especially Holly. However , today with the instructor who I have never taken a class with, I did not like or appreciate. There were two people in the class and I put my Mat close to the door so I can get a bit of a breeze here and there. She came up to me proceeded to move my mat close the mirror in the front and said I should be able to get some air here , and that people walking in may step on my mat. I have taken this class for almost a a year I have my spot here and there depending on the amount of people in class and not one instructor approached me like that . My point is not the location but Her tone was attitude and she could have started speaking to me before moving my mat, and please or a thank you may have been nice , customer service status . Highly recommend this yoga studio. it's the first time I tried heated yoga. I want to assure people you will get used to it. Instructors are amazing, very knowledgeable. Stephanie and Elliott my favorites but then I just started so I'm just all of them are as good. I took unlimited membership which is $175/m which is $5.88 per class I think it's more than worth it. At first you will be sore esp if you coming in frequently. It gets better with time. Just check with instructors if there's any injuries or medical issues. The studio is open only during class hours and doesn't have full time staff, there are many different people managing the place, all part time, so calls and text messages may not be answered rightaway. Just bring it up at the front desk. Claremont branch seems like the mother studio where they answer rightaway. Studio is conveniently located on Daycreek and Baseline and the plaza has all kinds of stores you can do shopping too. Overall highly recommend and very satisfied with this place. Ciela K is one of the most unprofessional instructors we've ever come across. We come in to see an over capacity room and when we came in she IMMEDIATELY starts yelling at two girls who came in front of us like it was their fault that there were extra people.. She made me and my little sister feel SO uncomfortable during our yoga session. I have nothing against the organization but specifically this woman. I was beyond surprised that a woman let alone a yoga instructor to yell at people for something that is her fault and hers alone. I could imagine she was overstimulated by the amount of people but thats no reason for her to be rude to customers who are paying for this experience which mind you, is supposed to be uplifting. M Power Yoga in itself is a great workout- I have been taking yoga and yoga sculpt for over 15 years and I really enjoy their workout structure. That being said I want to write a review about one of teachers who works at the Claremont and Rancho locations- Celia. I have taken her class twice now and both times she demonstrated a manic and disorganized class where one min she is screaming at you- and I mean literally screaming in your ear- and then next dancing around trying to be goofy and acting like her class is the best ever. She is clearly very insecure because she starts every class the same one- basically daring the students to challenge her and that she's such an expert etc etc- the only reason I stayed is because I wanted to continue working out but she is that kind of teacher who screams at you and puts you down and says it's for your benefit- the thing that is hilarious that she forgets this is still a yoga class- people want a good workout and yes they want to be pushed but also you come to yoga to clear your mind and work through things and it was impossible to do that with her shrill screaming throughout- It's a shame because I really love the class and locations but luckily one of the other instructors told me of other classes so that I can avoid taking Celia's class again- what I found odd was that the lady at the desk said that many other people have made the same comments as I felt- and that apparently people either love or hate her- if so many people are feeling uncomfortable by her- even if some people like it- is that not an issue for the other half of people who are turned off by her rude immature manner? I also wanted to get out of there asap so after the workout finished I quietly went to grab a spray bottle to wipe down my weights and mat- she came up to me and literally grabbed the bottle out of my hand and wouldn't let me wipe down the mat or weights- I have been to probably 300 plus yoga classes and never have I ever seen this type of controlling behavior- So many people have to leave early and are free to do so and I have never seen an instructor be so rude. MPower Yoga if you are going to keep Celia on you should have a disclaimer before classes that if you are into the whole degrading, put down kind of experience for yoga in which you won't actually be able to breathe or clear your mind or set an intention because you will be screamed at and disrespected throughout the entire workout then keep Celia on. I hope this review helps other yogis to avoid her class knowing what kind of teacher she really is. read more

I absolutely Love Love this place! All of the instructors are excellent. Yoga, Sculpt, Pilates etc. and they have workshops like Acro Yoga and yearly retreats and the next one is in Thailand! When I first walked in two years ago they were so warm, welcoming and friendly! Teachers are great and so I became a a member immediately. So even though I moved away one year ago, I always come back to take classes when I am in the area. I still have an amazing group of friends that feel like my extended family. The place is super clean and they have showers and lockers. They have mats, clothing and water. All you have to do is show up! By far the best yoga studio I've found during my travels, hands down! I came in last year insecure about my weight and was looking for a place to build my confidence and work on my physical and mental strength. If I could give a negative start I would. This was my first time going to heat yoga. I thought this was going to be a fun , great experience with friends. We were so excited to try it. The receptionist was great, friendly and welcoming. The instructor, not so much. I was extremely disappointed to make feel like crap about not following the instructions. We're not experts in "yoga lingo" we were there for the experience, collectively. If this is an advanced class, it should be documented on the website. It seems like they excuse the instructor's (Celia Koshak) behavior by saying she's "very direct" but she's a straight out bitch. She did not acknowledge any new people, did not try to get to know if there were newcomers. There were no instructions given prior to starting, it was straight to business. Don't let the reviews fool you, a free class is not worth it. You're there to feel good but also work/move your body to feel relaxed . Instead you feel like you're getting orders. At that point it was no longer enjoyable and couldn't wait for it to be over. Please find another studio to try out. Don't not go to her class/classes. Her behavior is not justified but this studio allows it. My friends and I should have been talking about how great this class was and when we were going to do it again. It was quite the opposite. We all looked at each other and we knew we all had the worst experience, no words needed. I hope that the other instructors do not treat newcomers like this. I have never made a review but the way instructor Celia K spoke to me I felt it was needed. My friend and I came in 1-2 min before class to find an overcapacity room with no space for us and the three other people waiting to be sat, some who had come in after me. When we entered, she immediately singled me out, and in front of everyone, raised her voice and said that I was at fault for coming in late. Everyone's vibe was off from her misplacing her anger on me and instead of coming up with a solution, she started ranting instead. When I found an open spot, I discreetly let my friend know when she immediately raised her voice to tell me not to speak when shes speaking. Then she said that I was making everyone here feel uncomfortable (me? hm.) because now they have to move around because I'm late. Mind you there are about four other people also waiting to be sat and the room was over capacity before we got there. And we were there before class started. When i suggested for my friend and I to give up our spots for the other people who came in after us, she rudely replied "ok bye" in a snarky tone like she was glad we were finally leaving. I left feeling bullied and verbally attacked and was shocked from how aggressive she spoke to me when I was trying to help her by giving up my spot that I had signed up for hours before. I understand there is a late policy but this situation was not about timing. The room was over its maximum capacity before we arrived regardless if we had come earlier. Celia seems like she is unstable to work in a job like this, where people come to feel better and more at peace, but by literally all of the one star reviews of this place, it seems she doesn't know how to do that. Regardless if anyone was late, no one deserves to be spoken to in a belittling manner that way. She seemed very insecure and unable to take accountability for her own actions so she blamed a random customer coming to support her session bc she didn't know how to handle the situation herself. With all this built up anger i dont know why she chose a yoga instructor as a profession, she clearly needs the classes and should not be teaching them.
