My first week at HOTWORX has been an interesting dive into a new kind of workout experience. The infrared heat definitely adds an extra challenge, making you sweat buckets, which feels like you're detoxing while you exercise. I tried a mix of the isometric workouts like Hot Pilates and Hot Barre, and some of the HIIT sessions. The isometric workouts were a surprise. Holding poses in the heat really pushes your endurance and muscle control. I could feel muscles working that I didn't even know I had! The HIIT sessions were intense but quick, which is great for fitting into a busy schedule. I liked that there's a virtual instructor guiding you, so you're never really on your own! read more

I have been meaning to try HOTWORX and I am so happy I finally gave it a try. This place is perfect for someone who prefers to work out by themselves or for someone who likes to go at their own pace. Having the infrared sauna is definitely a plus. You can book the room directly from your app and it shows you if anyone else will be in there with you. You are in control of when you want to work out and also you can cancel at anytime without an addition fee which I appreciate. They are open 24/7 so if you are a member, they do give you an access code that you can use or you can use the virtual key on your app! They also have a free weight area and showers. You do need to bring your own equipments such as bands so that's just something to think about if you're used to having it provided for you. There is a vending machine that lets you rent the stuff as well. They do require a yoga mat and a towel which they suggest to use the ones they sell because it's heat proof. So far I really enjoy it! I recently tried HOTWORX - Rancho Cucamonga after seeing an ad on Instagram. I love hot Pilates and hot yoga, so I was excited to check it out, especially since they offer a free trial. The concept is interesting. It's a small sauna room with a TV where you follow along to a workout video. Each sauna fits about three people. The workouts themselves are decent, but one thing to note is that the classes are not live. The same video plays for the entire month depending on the class type, for example, core or abs, so there isn't much variety or real-time instruction. What I didn't like was the sign-up process. After my trial, I spoke with staff and the pricing and initiation details were not what was advertised online. On top of that, you're required to purchase a kit that includes a mat, towel, and other items, which felt pretty expensive. I also looked into reviews afterward and saw a lot of feedback saying it can be difficult to cancel a membership, which made me hesitant to move forward. I had heard of the many benefits of infrared light so when Hotworx popped up in Rancho Cucamonga, I wanted to try it! After an orientation session, and a few virtual classes, I decided to give it a try for 3 months. (At that time you may cancel or continue your membership.) Hotworx is near Massage Envy on Baseline & Day Creek. To enter the gym, you need a code or phone app to enter the facility. There are 8 small sauna rooms, each designed to accommodate 3 people*. Saunas #1-4 are virtually-led isometric classes, while saunas #5-8 have equipment for HIIT workouts. There is also a small open space with weights, kettlebells, and some other workout equipment. *I'm claustrophobic. If there are more than 2 people in the sauna, it's a really tight squeeze. At one session that I reserved, it said there were only 2 people signed up but when I arrived, there was a 3rd person there. I immediately changed to another class that was empty. So far, I have tried the Hot Core, Hot Warrior, Hot Barre None, and Hot Yoga workouts, along with a Hot Cycle HIIT workout. My muscles were definitely feeling the effects from each class! It is necessary to purchase the Hotworx Mat and Hotworx mat towel because they withstand the sauna heat without producing toxins. You'll also need the Hotworx app to reserve your classes. I really like that this place is open 24 hours as it makes it convenient to get a workout in no matter what your schedule looks like. It is staffed for most of the day. There is a water fountain where you can also refill your water bottle. They also have a shower so you can wash off afterward. Looking forward to my next Hotworx workout! read more

Now that you will probably do if U don't come prepared but if you're a seasoned vet then you know the drill. Not just for yoga but with the first ever fusion of infrared energy and heat exercise all in one location. They offer a variety of different isometric workouts plus a couple of different high intensity workouts like cycling and rowing. As for me I just went with a yoga class that's done in a sauna hot box with a virtual trainer. You can do a private workout or have two other friends join in. I did a "hot buns" class which I enjoyed. 3 people fit into a sauna to take a course. There was one other person in the class I was taking and was told it was just going to be me. First, the pros: - The staff is really nice and helpful, and they do a good job of keeping the facility clean. - It's open 24 hours. - The workouts are actually good and the heat from the sauna does get you to sweat a lot. The Cons: - As the company has become more popular and has taken on more memberships, availability for classes has diminished substantially since we joined. - There's no accountability for members who book classes and then don't show. So you'll go on the app and see the class you want is unavailable, book another, then go to the facility only to see the person who booked the class you initially wanted never showed up. They let you book classes 3 days in advance. So you'll have someone who books a class on Sunday for Tuesday. Then Tuesday rolls around and that person feels like, "Meh, I don't wanna go anymore" or life happens and they can't make the class, they just don't show up without canceling, so now no one can go. And you can't just jump into an empty sauna, because if that person shows up 10 minutes late and you hadn't booked the class, technically you have no right to be in there. A majority of the members are women. This isn't a bad thing. But each sauna purports to accommodate 3 people. And in this day, if a room has one woman in it, I don't feel comfortable joining the same class as her out of concern that I'll make her feel uncomfortable being in a closed quartered room with a stranger. So a room that is supposed to accommodate 3 people, you'll often find ends up being used by just 1 person. It's one of those things where the creators of this company spit-ball ideas that sounded great in theory, but aren't so great in reality. - Read the fine print. There's what they tell you when you join, and then there's what the contract actually says. Cancelation of membership isn't instant, as we were told. I read other reviews complaining about this. When you finally get tired of not being able to get the classes you want and decide to cancel, it's a 60-day Cancelation period. So basically they make you pay for another two months before you're free from your contract. When we joined, we were told that it's a minimum of a 90 day commitment and then month-to-month thereafter. They make no mention that you have to pay for an additional two months. When we first joined this gym, we loved it. We told others how much we enjoyed it and some of them joined at other facilities. We have now cancelled our membership. I would consider returning if they held members accountable who book classes and don't show. I could almost guarantee you'd see more classes available if there were consequences for no-shows. They also may want to consider single-person saunas. Having a three-person sauna constantly taken up by one person and using the same amount of electricity as if there were three people, can't be good for the bottom line. Do single person saunas and let the member choose which class they want versus having classes that are only available at certain hours. I'd be back here in a heartbeat Again, I don't hate this place at all. I want to like it as much as I did when I first joined, but I'm basically throwing away money, paying for a membership I can hardly use. read more

While the concept of exercising in a hot sauna is cool and different, they really lost me at their pricing and cancellation policies. They require a 60-day notice for cancellation which is SO EXAGGERATED and just a way for them to guarantee themselves more money from you. But this wasn't the worse part because it is on the agreement you sign upon starting with them. The worse part was when the employee offered us a discount to stay with them, not one time but twice, we were paying about 120 for 2 people, upon telling the worker we were canceling, she brought us down 20 dollars 2 times, and while we actually liked coming and would've continued for less money, it was very disappointing that they offer the same membership for less money. Its all about the money for this place, they do not care about their customers. The mats for the saunas are also extremely expensive ($50 per mat per person and $50 per towel per person), they require these for membership. read more

Awesome workout facility I was hesitant in beginning but you do your own sauna workout privately and clean facility overall. Staff here are wonderful they make you feel welcome and energize to workout. Membership is a SCAM!!! I signed up with the understanding that I was in a 3 month contract, sounds reasonable I intended to come anyway. After the three months I just wasn't going enough to make it worth the monthly charge so I went in to cancel. NOPE they said I actually had to wait FIVE months! I asked to speak to a manager they said she wasn't on site and she'd call me that day, two days later finally speak to a manager she says what if I lower your rate for the next two months see if you try coming in more, I asked her very clearly if this was the case would I be able to cancel after to which she said YES. I went in last week to try and cancel because again I AM NOT USING THEIR SERVICES and they said I'd have to wait ANOTHER TWO MONTHS. I explained this is not what I was told the last time I tried to cancel and the woman said because they gave me a discount I had to wait another two months... excuse me what??? That is not what I was told when I tried to cancel after my three months. I then asked if I could speak to someone higher up they said "you can look for a number online" again WTF! This review is not about the facility itself I really enjoyed it and the staff is nice but be very aware if and when you actually get a membership it is a scam and good luck getting out of it they will never let you go!!!! read more

Very messy membership policy. Place was nice, but after a year of being here noticed the workout videos NEVER changed. It was the same workout every time. When I signed up I was told you can cancel at any time. I called to cancel over the phone on Oct. 31 and they told me they require a 2-month notice, so I would still be charged for Nov & Dec. (Annoying, but I agreed). I went in on Nov. 20 & they told me that they had no notes of me canceling and that cancelling over the phone was impossible because it required a signed document. Meaning that I was now going to be charged for Dec & Jan. The employee I spoke with over the phone never explained that to me or I would have came in to cancel. Overall I would not recommend this place, its over priced & repetitive. If you want to cancel think 2 months ahead & avoid doing the family plan. Forgot to mention - you HAVE to purchase their mat and towel which is an additional $100. You cannot bring your own. read more
