I had my eyebrows tattooed years ago before microblading existed. Then about 1.5 years ago I went to someone that said she could microblade over my previous tattoo. Unfortunately, it came out thicker than I wanted after she reassured me it would shrink to be thinner after it healed. It was also uneven. I did whatever I could to wear off the pigment because I wanted it redone. (The top picture will show the tattoo from years ago. About 90% of the microblade pigment already wore off). In the meantime, I kept searching for someone for a year. Read multiple yelp reviews, searched Instagram, analyzed picture after picture. Finally, I landed on My's profile. I looked at her correction work and how she microbladed over previous work and was really impressed. I texted her to ask if she could microblade over previous work and sent her a picture. She replied in 30 minutes and had availability to schedule me in 2 weeks. She sent the policy the same day. Then a few days before my appointment she sent me a reminder and address. I did the 1 day microblading training with My and it was totally worth it! She kept it short & simple without overwhelming us. We practiced on fake skin, we got to do some strokes on a live model, & watch her from start to finish on a second model. I'm so disappointed to be rating this place low. I did a lot of research and felt My would give me the best results. Making the appointment was seamless. It's because of the results that makes it so disappointing. I told My during the appointment that my current eyebrows are not even because I shaped them myself and to not follow them if it didn't mirror the right eyebrow. Even though she measured them out, I can't understand why they came out uneven. Not only is the arch starting at different points from my eye, the starting points at the inner corner isn't the same AND the left one starts a few millimeters higher! The end of the archs didn't match either. All I knew was that it matched what I had and it didn't seem as though she cared to correct them. I know I "sign off" on the shape before the procedure but it's honestly hard to tell through the dark, thick, lines. I only noticed when I came home and they started healing since they became thicker and the discrepancies became more noticeable. I'm just confused how these measurements became so off. I do understand no one's face is exactly symmetric but this is beyond that. I even measured from my own bone structure at home and they were so off! I'm just glad that they healed lighter than I expected so that it won't bother me as much. I will not be going back for a touch up or ever again. read more

So happy to have found My. She was referred to me by a good friend and though I was hesitant at first about the idea of Microblading, I'm so glad I went through with it because it was/is such a game changer. I naturally have a knack for makeup. Specifically, my eyebrows are (humbly) always on point when I draw them in. So the idea of semi-permanent kind of made me nervous. However, because I overplucked my eyebrows and some bald spots were never going to grow in, paired with the fact that I would end up sweating or rubbing off my eyebrow liner by the end of every work day, I figured it was time to get something more permanent. My was SO incredibly sweet and welcoming from the start. She started off with numbing my eyebrows and after 20-30 min of waiting while the numbing cream went into effect, asked me what shape I preferred. She drew a shape and was super patient as I examined and gave her more guidance on how to revise what she drew to fit my liking. When we finally got the shape drawn that I loved, My went straight to work Microblading. (1) It did not hurt. The numbing cream worked like a charm. I could feel slight scratching sensations, but it was more of a weird sensation... not painful. (2) My was fast! I was so impressed at how quick the whole process was (she did the first layer, numbed me again, then did another layer, and repeated the process as needed) (3) The work itself was beautiful! I HATE when girls have very fat and obvious microbladed strokes that are hella spaced out. It looks dumb and SO tattooed ...Hence, I was SO happy when I saw how many detailed and thin strokes there were!!! My truly was able to achieve a natural looking effect that I love! And of course, I now love the fact that I don't have to do or constantly touch up my eyebrows anymore because they just look great 24/7!!! (4) My is just the sweetest. She's really someone I would totally be friends with outside of "work." I love that she's super genuine and trusting (she helped recommend a Vietnamese sandwich place and lent me $40 since I didn't have cash... I definitely didn't spend $40 worth of sandwiches, lol. But it was so nice of her... and she didn't even push me to Venmo her back immediately. She just knew that I would eventually!) (5) I love the free touch-up and the mini-tube of Aquaphor that is included with the already SWEET deal that she charges. I live in SF and the drive down to San Jose to see My and get my eyebrows done/touched-up is totally worth the 1hour+ traffic drive!!! I can't recommend My enough. She is such a gem! read more

Just a few weeks ago, I took My's microblading training class and I have to say My is the best at what she does. At first I was scared that i might mess up someone's brows but My was very encouraging and helpful throughout the whole training. During the training, I would have her come look at my work a few times and she was very helpful in guiding me how to hold the needle correctly and drawing the strokes better. She simplified everything which makes it easy to understand. With her supportive and positive energy, I wasn't as nervous working on a live model. She guided me and was very patient. She pays close attention to detail and really listens to what you want as far as shape and color.
