Out of all my experiences, Amanda's work has been the best because it has LASTED all this time without looking faded, blurred or worn down. With the first person who microbladed my brows at a different place in Santa Clara, it faded after 6 months and she said it was because my skin was too oily. With the 2nd place I got it done at (in New York), it lasted around 1-1.5 years and weren't even. With Amanda, my brows were even and lasted so long. They look natural. Originally she added more arch than I liked but adjusted it based on my feedback during the session when she did a sample sketch. I wouldn't recommend anyone else but Amanda! The bad: I moved to SoCal so I'll have to fly back north to get any more services! But, my brows are so intact still that I might not need to for a long time! I've had lip blush done before and it healed pretty patchy, so I was a little nervous going into this. I ended up choosing her even though she's about 3 hours away because I couldn't find anyone locally who does this stylof work. I also chose her because she's an award-winning artist and educator, which felt important to me when looking for someone experienced and confident. Her studio is upstairs with a large waiting area and private rooms, which made everything feel clean and comfortable. I showed her a reference from her work and trusted her with the color and shape. She chose a coral/orange tone and I like how it's looking so far. She checked in on me during the appointment and reapplied numbing when needed. I did have a lot of swelling right after, but no bruising. I'm still healing, but I can already see the gradient and it looks way more even than my last lip blush. I found this place via a co-worker's referral and I love it!…read more I have always has light brows which have gotten lighter as I age. I have seen people who got micro blading done but never wanted to try it because it is so dark for the first few months. Finally, after spending 10 minutes every day trying to fill my brows and always having them be uneven etc, I decided to check this place out. The website is very detailed, with lots of pictures and information. I still was not able to decide for myself which procedure is right for me so I called My. My does not talk on the phone:) but is a very responsive and detailed texter. I am very impressed by her texting skills. Based on a picture of my eyebrows, she recommended microshading and the reasons for it. I made my booking online and paid the $100 deposit. For my process it would be $545 total + $100 for any follow up - a bit on the expensive side but well worth it. On the day of the appointment, she puts numbing cream on the brows and lets it sit for 20 minutes. She then asks questions about what I want, the shape, size etc. I wanted dark, thick brows. She cautioned against that and advised that I start with a slightly smaller shape because she could always add on but if I hated the shape and size, she could not take it off. She spent some time drawing the shape out and made slight adjustments based on my feedback. I was extremely nervous and told her so and that made her nervous but she was a professional throughout. I was nervous about the pain but it was amazingly painless. Each appt. is for an hour and a half but my brows were not taking color and she took another 1/2 hour but I was very pleased with the result! I had defined, beautiful brows. After, My provided detailed instructions on after care and whether to come back or not. I did start losing color in the timeline she mentioned and some color came back but I went back because they were too light - My remembered everything I had initially asked for without me reminding her and made my brows darker and thicker. After the requisite 4 weeks, I did lose some color but something I can live with. This is a life changer. My did mention that as I kept coming back, my skin would get used to taking color and they would get much darker each time. My left brow is slightly lighter than the right but nothing very obvious. The second time around, my brows also itched a lot and peeled. That did not happen the first time. They are also very dry. The only thing I didn't like about the whole process is that I could not work out for 7 days after the procedure. I have worked out every day for the past 30 years and it was tough but well worth it!! The office is easy to find, parking on the street and inside, My has soda, water and snacks and both times that I was there, I was the only customer - she can only focus on one at a time so that makes sense. Very professional looking equipment and clean. While filling out the paperwork, I indicated that I didn't want her to use my pictures on social media and she was happy to accommodate. I just knew I wanted the tail end of my brows to be filled to naturally blended in with the rest of my brows, PLUS, I didn't want to look mean. After MP numbed me, I felt nothing! Literally, no pain with lots of gain. Micro & nano blading service came out quite nice! Additionally, I had lash liner done as well... again zero pain after numbing cream. It popped when I first saw them! When I came back for my touch up, I felt that in my photos, the tail end of my brows were showing up as too light which .ade my brow look uneven. So, I asked for a fuller fill and sharp ends. MP filled up my brows and now I wake up with perfect brows everyday. For my lash liner, unfortunately, not a single drop of ink stayed on with the first sess. MP redid them by doubling up on the inkage and didn't chage for the retouch appointment. Happy to report that this time, they stayed on. But my eyes did come out feeling sore and dry afterwards... no worries, after a week, my eyes were normal again. NOTES: Lots of free parking.
