I have tried many high end salons and master lash artists that supposedly had a lot of experience and great ratings but Dalal has by far exceeded ALL of them!! I have been seeing Dalal now for quite a few years and NEVER plan to see anyone again because no one would ever compare to Dalal! Her new place that is located on Blossom Hill in San Jose is so clean, professional, serene, and comfortable! Parking is plentiful and easy and the salon is easily accessible. I love it!! She put too many fake lashes on each my individual lashes and after a couple months, I could tell my lashes were in bad shape. I scheduled an appointment online with Dalal about 6 weeks in advance to my wedding date. I was called and told Dalal wasn't going to be there and Vanessa could take me instead. I scheduled a natural full set. When I got there, the place is upstairs from Trader Joes, it was cozy and massage tables all laid out in one room. Vanessa greeted me and showed me to her table. After talking to her about my wedding, she said a Diva set would look better in photos. She was able to squeeze in doing all those extra lashes in an hour - wow! She did a great job and was really patient with all of my endless questions. My lashes looked gorgeous for my wedding and I can't wait to get some photos back! Rude staff, novice, basic, and inexperienced staff. Despite there being a front lady desk sitting in the store, I was not greeted whatsoever. Instead, I sat in the waiting area for several minutes and I had to initiate my being there. Surprisingly enough, the front desk lady was Mayra, who would be my lash lady. I paid 180 for my lashes. Mayra acted confident, but failed as a "lash expert" due to not listening to the customer. I asked specifically for the most volume and length. However, she went ahead and placed shorter and thinner lashes. She stated, "I placed more volume but cut the length because it's too heavy for you." She pretends to be a subject matter expert, but proves to be a charlatan. I left the store with the most expensive and basic eyelashes ever. I called to ask to resolve this issue, but was ignored multiple times, and was given only one slot in the week to fix my lashes, which I could not make. There were other options like having another lady fix my lashes, but was not even offered that. I honestly wish I never saw this on yelp and believed the star rating. I almost stopped going to Dalal's shop because of the continual treatment I had received from a woman named Cathy. Since my schedule is erratic, I can't continually get the same person. Even though Cathy was technically decent in the actual application of the lashes, she was extremely rude in her customer service skills, wanted to charge me extra for services that I wasn't charged for in the past and would make statements that were inaccurate from a lash assessment standpoint and would not consider other options to those statements. She relayed that my tearing up in our sessions were because of things not related to her, but she was the only lash assistant that caused me to tear up! Vanessa and Dalal herself would not have it occur. I give this 5 stars simply because of Dalal and Vanessa and didn't want to hurt Dalal's business rating because of a bad apple employee. Not only does my lashes look fabulous from them, my visits there have always been so pleasant (I've been going here for over a year now). I go to them religiously every 2-3 weeks for my fills to upkeep current lash extensions. Reasonable pricing compare to the market is also a plus. They get booked up very quickly, so be sure to get your appointments well in advance! Came here based on yelp reviews, had my first ever set of "natural" lashes done here by Adela a week ago and I'm IN LOVE! The set makes such a big difference in comparison to my short, stubby, straight Asian lashes. Not going to lie, I knew this was going to be addicting (unfortunately..haha). Had a great experience with Adela - she was very professional and the entire process went by very smoothly. Since it's my first set ever, I did call the salon being concerned about having quite a few lashes fall out (more than I'm used to with my regular lashes) over the 1st week - Dalal was extremely courteous over the phone in reassuring me that having 2-3 lashes fall out per day is normal, depending on my personal lash growth cycle. She even asked me to stop by so she could check on my set to make sure everything was okay. I understand she's often booked up and does not normally service "natural" sets herself, so I really appreciate the level of customer service she provided! Everyone I've encountered at the salon was extremely friendly and knowledgeable as well. Their prices are very competitive for the area and if you're hesitating about getting your first set here, just DO IT! You won't be disappointed. I really don't want to write this review because I selfishly want to keep Dalal to myself! TRUSTWORTHY & AWESOME! I originally met Dalal at a boutique and LOVED my first time getting lashes because of her. Naturally, I went back for more! The second time I went back I was told Dalal was no longer there (I WAS SAD, VERY SAD AND CONFUSED). Anyway, I went ahead with the appointment since I was already there. I do wish the lash boutique would've communicated this to me but no.... Anyway.... Fast forward to about 2 weeks ago. I am browsing Yelp to find another place to get my lashes removed and VOILA!............I see "Lashes by Dalal".....I immediately pick up the phone and call the number that was provided. Thank goodness, IT WAS DALAL! I booked the next available appointment Dalal had open to REMOVE my old lashes. Apparently, the boutique I went to glued on wayyy too thick of a lash to achieve the fullness I requested. The right thing for them to do was to use a thinner lash and to use more of that lash. Of course they didn't because the thicker lash they used cut costs (Less lashes used and completed a set in less time). This process is not healthy for your eyelashes. If you are thinking about getting your lashes done, CALL DALAL NOW! Especially if this will be your first time, I promise she will address all your concerns and ensure you that your lashes will be safe. I got my lashes done before my wedding and they were so nice! I highly recommend Dalal, she is professional, kind and knows what she is doing. You don't feel a thing during the procedure and you will walk out happy. I don't really like when the person leans on my forehead to do the lashes, it makes me really uncomfortable.. and let's face it. I don't want anyone leaning on my face for any reason. Sadly, I found out that a lot of professionals do that- lean on your forhead, face, eye lids. But! Dalal doesn't. She gently puts lashes only and no leaning, pushing or poking. It's a bit hard to get appoinrments with her and the salon is bit far for me, but she is totally worth the time and effort and I will keep going back for my touch ups! read more

Ugh! This review was a long time coming and it literally pains me to have to leave such a negative review as Dalal herself was very sweet and gentle while working. The problem is the skill of her work is not only subpar, it is damaging to my natural lash. I came in for a "diva" fill under the pretense that it was comparable to a "volume" fill. I not only looked at the website but called and spoke to someone to verify this. When I came in, Dalal was impressed by the volume work already on my eyes and asked for my previous lashes info to potentially receive training from her (this was my first indication things were heading in the wrong direction). I should say that I have had lash extensions consistently for over 6 years and know how they should look and feel. First off, this is NOT a volume fill. Russian volume lashes are created by taking multiple individual lashes and creating a fan and placing that fan onto an individual lash. Dalal did NOT make any fans, rather she took multiple individual lashes in a clump and glued them onto my individual lash leaving a blunt and unnatural, not a wispy look. Additionally she uses WAY too much glue, leaving my lashes feeling crunchy and uncomfortable. In fact, when I blink my eyes I can feel them pulling and it's quite uncomfortable. As my lashes are growing and falling out I can better see what poor workmanship Dala used in doing my lashes. I'm finding multiple synthetic lashes glued to multiple of my natural lashes. They are coming off in clumps of tangled lash mess. Many lashes were glued to my eye lid and not onto my lash. This is a total rookie move and not something that should be happening with someone with alleged 6+ years experience. My lashes are tangled and appear haphazard even after brushing through them. I am so disappointed, especially after paying $20 more for a full from a skilled lasher. I am new to the area and was hoping that Lashes by Dalal could be my new place as it's conveniently located close to home and with easy parking and booking. However I would NEVER let Dalal touch my lashes again and risk further damage to them. I'm shocked with my terrible experience, especially after taking great care in searching for a lash studio with such positive reviews. I have included photos. Close up's of my eyes were taken upon leaving my appointment. The lashes off my eye are to show how they should look (fans from my previous lashers work and clumps of multiple lashes done by Dalal to show comparison). I'm actually quite horrified by my experience and though I feel bad leaving such a negative review, the workmanship certainly allots it and anyone who is considering using this lash studio should be advised. I will continue looking. Until then ever time I close my eyes or blink, my lashes pull and I'm reminded I'll NEVER, EVER come here again. read more

I have naturally pretty long strong noticeable lashes especially with the right mascara combo and was worried getting the lash extensions would affect the health, length, and fullness of my lashes. Adela is a doll. She called me proactively before my last appointment to say she was running 10 minutes late yesterday. And then, when I did get in to see her, she still took her time and did a great job. She's been very patient and helpful with my lashes. She explains what she's doing and answers my questions and she was very helpful in tips for after care. This is my first set ever and I found the shop thru groupon. I don't have much to compare it to but I can tell you my husband loves the lashes and I'm completely hooked. You should know that even though the groupon says up to 55 lashes per eye, they only did 35 per eye on me, which I didn't realize until the fill. Just be aware of that! They've all been very kind and patient with me and my MANY questions (since I'm new to all of this!). I got my eyelashes done for Vegas, and it was probably one of the best decisions I ever made. My lashes looked great, and lasted a good 2-3 weeks before I came in for a fill. I love Dalal because she's realistic and honest with you and doesn't pressure you to do anything you don't want to. She also genuinely just wants what is best for your lashes, whether she thinks you can handle another fill or should maybe take a break so as not to damage anything about your eyes. We had an appointment hiccup once where she had my time written down incorrectly on her phone but was the same as what I thought in her planner. Dalal is amazing! Eye lashes look awesome , we all know that. The hard part is having them on, and keeping them on as they feel weird at times, or get in your vision if they are not done right. Always friendly and professional. I got my first appointment two weeks ago but due to my thin lashes they fell out in exactly two weeks. Vanessa helped fill me on my second appointment and she was great. They didn't charge me the full price in consideration I was a new customer and my lashes fell out due to it bring super thin. They also recommend to me a lash serum to grow my lashes. I am leaving for a trip this Friday and some of my lashes fell out since my Saturday appointment. I emailed them yesterday and they responded quickly this morning and will accommodate me Friday morning. I know they are very busy and booked out, so to me that is great customer service. read more
