We confirmed a move date (a Saturday, busiest day of the week for moving) and waited all day for the crew to show up. They never came. ASM said they had truck problems and several staff no-shows. We had phone calls with several agents, and changed the move to the following Monday. The last agent promised make us top priority. Thankfully we weren't under pressure to a hard deadline. On Monday the crew showed up right on time. They were skilled, careful, and unusually speedy. We were loaded up and moving into our new space within the hour. Everyone of the guys were friendly, communicative, professional, and best of all, respectful. There weren't any work breaks, lazy team members, or excuses. Overall, it was a great experience for us, despite the delay and having to work out the details with several different agents, and I'm happy to endorse All My Sons for our move.

Highly do not recommend…read more Neil worked for a Georgia moving company for nine years and has now owned this company for just a year. It's all about the bottom line with him. I will say we had so much negativity going on every step of the way due to issues beyond my control, and had he handled the many issues that came up with simple kindness and understanding, I wouldn't be writing this review. But even though he pitched in a couple extra hours to help out with the unpacked items/chaotic day, the day was one of the worst days of my life. It was also the worst move I've ever experienced. During his on-site estimate, he bragged about how he is working on setting up a fund to help one struggling citizen per year by cutting their moving costs down to nearly nothing or nothing at all. *Eyeroll...Believe me when I say our family couldn't be the ones any more deserving of this consideration. Neil's crews, both the two packers the day before, and the three movers the day of the move were the only semi-positive thing to mention about this move. Most, but not all of them, went the extra mile to help me, as I was in extreme distress on moving day, due to their chaos, as well as my own personally. At one point we were having a medical issue and 911 had to be called. I will also tell you they will park their moving truck far from your place so extra walking to the truck to load your belongings will take extra time. Neil claimed this job ran overtime because it was raining but every time I went outside to check the progress, most of the guys were standing around discussing who knows what and were not moving! See my video attached to observe it's NOT raining and the sidewalk is dry. Not only was the final bill almost 1/3 more than the highest quote for the job, Neil still to this day refuses to send me a keyed copy of the actual move receipt. I did get the receipt for the packing, but not the move to storage the second day. I ended up having to rent a different storage unit ONE extra mile from the original one I was told to rent by Neil. This sudden change of venue was out of my control. At the last minute I was told by the moving company the size of the unit I had on reserve was not big enough. The storage place didn't have anything available in the same size I had on hold, only huuuugeeee units. Ofc. 3 movers and I waited over 40 minutes for the manager to unlock the door for me to register WHILE I also had an UBER WAITING to take me to our hotel. She knew we were on our way because the moving guys went to talk to her ahead...on my dime. When Terry finally came to the office after multiple phone calls from both me and two of the movers, she was flippant, condescending and downright rude. She unlocked the door without making eye contact or a simple 'hello'. Her behavior was odd considering the wait. No apology. I consulted with the movers. They suggested storage one mile farther to a unit that could accommodate my belongings. I told her when I left that I didn't like her altitude! Neil states they will not pack and move the same day, that he packs only the day before the move. Moving boxes cost $2.75 each despite the size. Ha, what a joke boxes became. Beware of that because it's a lot added to the cost of the move on top of the hourly rate. Even though a pre-move visual inventory was done and the cost estimate for boxes was included, it did NOT include packing paper, half of which was provided by me. Then they don't show up with enough boxes to pack everything on 'the pack day'. As a result, this forces them to finish packing the day of your move, which in turn turns into...more hours to be billed. They pack your clothes in black garbage bags!! and then tell you you don't want to pay for wardrobe boxes. As an example, a failing I take issue with, the evening they packed, I had to open a sealed box for toilet paper. You should have seen my shocked face when I looked in the box. I saw my pricey hotel magnifying make-up mirror loose in the box, not even wrapped in packing paper at all. Other glass bathroom items in that box also were not wrapped in paper and the mirror is heavy, so this was a disaster waiting to happen. There were various items they tried to buffer with rolls of toilet paper, and decorative plastic items are most likely going to be shattered and smashed. It's a good thing I had some packing paper left of my own, and I did the best I could with what little I had. The fact remains I paid for full packing and shouldn't have had to do that. These are just a few glitches. There are just too many more to mention but rehashing it all won't change anything. Even with a 10% senior discount, it cost me $1,300.00 for this company to pack a one-bedroom, one-bath apartment, plus load and unload it into a ground-level drive-up storage unit. Use this moving company only if you like to be taken to the cleaners.

When I called for my estimate I repeated several times how heavy my things are; even mentioned that everyone who has ever moved me says it's the heaviest they've ever moved. So when my 2 men show up my size my heart sank, but I thought some of the strongest men I've known weren't very big; however these guys were also very young & clearly inexperienced. I decided I would just have to help & maybe this will prevent mishaps. For the 2 largest items I suggest they take out the drawers to decrease the weight; they told me they didn't need to; I mentioned everyone else has taken the drawers out; he said they didn't need to. They barely got the dresser out (wall is pictured) drawers are easily close to half the weight of this dresser. Eventually they became concerned about the weight of my buffet & called 2 more men changing my rate from $165 to $265, but ok if that's what we need to get there. Again I suggest removing the drawers on the buffets; but nope they know what they're doing. In the end a 6 foot Christmas Nutcracker was broken (no pics because they offered to dump it) my antique vanity, I'll say came apart because they told me how I can glue it back (smh) & broke the slab of TN marble that went on the vanity (pictured). While making the damage report they kept asking for the make & date..clearly no knowledge of how valuable antiques are & why they are valuable (impossible to replace) but according to them they're going to find me another piece of TN marble & the pulled apart bottom half was on me to repair (smh). In the end my buffet did not make up to my new place and they're solution to this was delivering it to anyone I could find OR they will SALE it for me and give me the $. Imagine something dear to you just pretty much being taken away, but what could I do. The buffet is what I used for my largest TV so I ask if we can get 1 of the tables we'd already put in my storage unit to set the TV on & they said yes. I didn't go to my storage unit to watch what they were doing, but when I went to put something in there later I see they have now put a very heavy chair partially on the only part of this antique vanity they haven't broken (top half) and the leg of this chair is running through my box spring (pics). I put the heavy chair in the storage unit myself due to wanting to make sure it didn't damage other items & damn if they didn't do it after all. So in the end I have all these damaged items & the bed they kept saying they we're going to put together for me to sleep on did not get put together; maybe this was due to my time running out, but overhearing the team lead telling them to slow down & quit being so fast made me think I was good on time. I was told I'd be compensated for the damage & the price over all was reduced a little. The guys were super nice until everything really went left; I'm not angry at them personally; in fact they would have to admit I was a very good sport saying repeatedly "I don't love anything that can't love me back". From the moment they returned my initial inquiry, it was clear they take customer service seriously; and it's not just for show, they want the customer comfortable and satisfied with the work they do. The gentleman who initially provided us information, then came to our house and did the walk through, was professional, polite, and made certain to address all my questions and concerns. I wish I could remember his name. He provided an estimate within 24hrs and had boxes delivered the same day once we gave him the go ahead. The scheduler contacted me, with no issues getting our move on the books. Then we spent a few weeks packing. Ugh. I received a courtesy call the day prior to moving day, to ensure we all had the same start time scheduled, and on the day of the move they showed up within minutes of our agreed to time. Four very professional, very polite, and very cheerful young men showed up with two trucks and commenced loading. They methodically and carefully wrapped our furniture, loaded our boxes, and worked as a team to get things taken care of. I want to mention them by name because each one was phenomenal to deal with; Colby, Zeke, Zack, and Colton. Their relaxed demeanor, sense of humor, and polite disposition made what could be a very stressful experience an enjoyable one. We made a local move, so two days later they showed up again with all our stuff and we had exactly the same experience with unloading. Zeke was on another job and I can't remember the young man who joined us instead, but he needs a pat on the back too. They never complained, never acted tired, or gave me any impression of anything other than professional attitudes in all our interactions. After unloading both trucks, Colby walked through the house with me to make certain everything was where we wanted it and double checked to ensure everything arrived safe and sound, which it did. Didn't hear one single groan or complaining from any of the movers. They called in reinforcements & used the stairs! Took extra care to wrap fragile items well. We had some large heavy antique furniture that was difficult to handle. Got everything moved without any damages!
