I spoke with Christy who helped schedule our move - we had to change our dates several times and she called other customers to see if they were willing to swap days to accommodate us. From first contact, you are treated with superior service. The guys assigned to this move were James, Sean, and Issac and they were so courteous throughout the process. I received calls to keep me updated on their arrival times and that they were running a few minutes late and I do mean just a few minutes, not hours. They were super efficient and extremely patient when I was juggling several other things during the moving process. We even had some fun conversations about guitars and music. We needed to move my dad from a large house in Las Vegas to a senior apartment in California and make one extra stop for a few items to be dropped off at my house in California. The crew were efficient, respectful, and friendly, and knew their stuff, including how to pack a grandfather clock safely so it reached its destination in perfect shape. I have not moved in 25 years and was overwhelmed by the whole process, but they were great. Christy at the office also was very patient with me when I asked a lot of questions about the process, and made sure I felt like I could ask anything I needed in order to feel reassured. That's why I paid a packing fee of $58 for my dining table and mirror with the expensive packing paper, only tape and Plastic Wrap are provided for free. Even my dining table, mirror, and computer chair are not worth the most basic Bubble packaging because they haven't. It's ridiculous. read more

We moved my mom from AZ to an assisted living facility in Signal Mountain and needed help unloading the Penske rental truck we drove across country. Movers Direct had great communication coordinating it all ahead of time and met us at the place right on schedule. The crew did a great job unloading the truck, unwrapping furniture, and getting it set up in the apartment. All the crew were friendly and very helpful. I would recommend them and use them again. We moved in on July 3, 2023 and I'm sure they would have rather been getting ready for a holiday, but that was no issue either. read more

Movers Direct went way, way above our expectations. We called them very last minute after our scheduled movers tried to raise their price by $2000 just before the move. Kristi managed to arrange an across country move to happen just 2 weeks later. It was definitley "white glove service" and much appreciated by my 90 year old mom, who was very worried about her belongings traveling from Colorado to South Carolina. Tanner, the driver, was with her stuff at all times. He and James loading things up professionally. Tanner then braved the ice and snow across the country, arriving on time in Charelston, SC. Gotta say I was skeptical about all the great things that people were saying about Movers Direct. My experience in the past with moving companies has been nothing but negative. I've literally lost thousands of dollars with damaged possessions, and flagrant abuse of time causing overcharges, but these guys will have none of that. They will arrive on time, take care of your belongings like they were their own, and will work steadily until completion. Read the horror story reviews online about movers, you won't get that there. You get hard-working, fast, reliable service. If ever I move again, I pray that Mover's Direct is still in the biz, they are truly the best of the best. After reading hundreds of horror stories online regarding moving companies, I was scared to find someone good. I called them a few months early, got an EXACT quote. Christy, their manager is extremely responsive to text/email/phone. They arrived when they said they would (many companies online have horrible reports of no-shows and then showing up a week later, because they can). They arrived when they said they would (many other companies store your stuff in a warehouse and will get to it when they get to it, which means you can be delayed on the quoted day of arrival by weeks). Unloading took about 4 hours (they let me help, which is RAD). I was already here and my wife and kids were on the way, Movers Direct beat them here and we unloaded and setup before they got here. Let me start by saying I was going to make the mistake of going with one of the big brokers everyone knows who they are. The problem was they wouldn't give me a firm price, the price was all based on weight and the cost could go up never down based on the weight of my items. I saw horror stories all over the internet about these companies. I was almost resigned to the fact that I would have to do the move myself. Then I decided to check Yelp and that is how I found Movers Direct. Christine gave a firm price for the truck, the guys to load and unload the truck moving from Chattanooga to Englewood, Florida. The guys actually showed up early and they did an excellent job. It took 4 hours to load the truck then they headed South. The broker companies tell you your stuff will arrive in 10 days. Movers Direct had my stuff in Florida the next morning. Tanner and Colby were fantastic! They were professional and patient as we would tell them where to put everything as they unloaded the truck. I don't think I can tell you how happy I was to find a company that owned the truck and didn't broker the move out to who knows. I'd used Movers Direct 5 years ago and they were terrific. Recently I used them again and the're service was HORRIBLE. They cost was far too high..., the company didn't have enough trucks so I was charged an extra $800 so they could rent a truck to move me. The gentlemen who did the moving, were good guys, but unskilled and left a half dozen of my belongings ruined and another two dozen items scratched, marred or otherwise carelessly pack and moved. After reporting the damaged items including pictures, the only response from Movers Direct was 'I'm sorry'. Of course the insurance policy they offer has such a high deductible that it's useless. It would have gone a long way for me if the company had at least reimbursed the $800 truck rental they sprung on me at the last minute. Sadly, the company no longer has the integrity or attention to excellence they had 5 years ago. I would highly recommend you find another company to move you. read more

This is the best moving company I have ever dealt with. Fast, professional, responsible, and great customer service. I moved from Forest Hills, NY to Athens GA and the whole process was stress-free. I confirmed my move with them on Monday and they were there to pick my stuff on Wednesday. As promised they delivered my stuff at Athens on Saturday morning. Unlike other moving companies (Trust me I have used quite a few) their delivery date is from the pick-up date and there are no hidden fees. ONE AMOUNT PAID 50% at pickup and 50% at delivery. The staff was very courteous and helpful. All my stuff was delivered in good condition and nothing was broken. If ever I am moving, it will only be with MOVERS DIRECT. read more
