When I moved to a newly constructed senior living facility Moving at Ease was recommended. I set up my move date based on estimated completion, which as is common in new construction changed more than once. Each time I called to change the date Isiah was always so pleasant and helpful. When the move finally happened I had Tristan, Jackson and Jacob doing the move. they were fast, efficient, careful and very nice and friendly. I would highly recommend Moving at Ease! Moving At Ease certainly put my mind at ease as we moved my elderly mother-in-law in to a new senior living place. They communicated with me via text messages to confirm our time, let me know when they were due to arrive and when they actually got there. They took great care packing everything for her and unpacking at the new place. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them. Moving can be such a hassle but these guys really know their stuff. They were efficient and very careful. Update: Charlie at Moving at Ease, one of 3 owners, started leaning on me yesterday to get me to remove this yelp review. He did not dispute what was written, he just really wanted it gone, and offered me $200 to do so, which I declined. I have posted the unedited text exchange in total in the images, so Moving at Ease can't make up a story about this review or me. -- original -- Moving at ease does a fine job on senior moves to assisted living. DO NOT EVER entrust or pay them for shipping out of state. 1. They do not inventory or count your items. I received a number of items in Austin, TX that were supposed to be delivered to Raleigh, NC. 2. They would not provide a breakdown of the discrete costs for packing and those for 3 separate deliveries to 3 different states. 3. After loading up our things, I flew back to Austin and I man called me up on Wednesday and said "I have your stuff and I'll be there in 3 hours." This was not convenient. 4. I was shipped only about 1/2 my things (this was a lot less stuff than I originally planned, so capacity should not have been an issue). I asked when I would receive the rest and was assured it would be soon. It took 2 months. 5. Since there is no box or item count or box labeling / inventory of your moved items, you can't check through to ensure everything is there. It will be dropped off by a single driver who has no paperwork, no receipt, no nothing. I paid Moving at Ease around $4500 for my shipment; they paid "Gino" around $600 total. They said he is the exclusive shipper they work with - the only one they trust - clearly, he's the cheapest. 6. The photos are of the final delivery of 3 mid-century, Made in Denmark bookshelves that my parents bought in the 1960s. Moving at Ease "forgot" to pack these and ship them on the 2 previous attempts and after 5 additional written reminders. The bookcases moved from Germany to Ohio to Scottsdale and then another house in Scottsdale and they were in fine shape at pickup last weekend. I was not home when Gino announced his sudden arrival - and what I found this morning was a heap of destroyed boards, shelfs - total destruction - of two cases and the 3rd had significant damage. I can't cry, I'm not angry -I'm just sad for all of us with families and memories we love who are so taken advantage of by folks working the long con in assisted living to end of life to estate settlement. Hard. Avoid. Just call United Van Lines or a moving referral company. Every quote I got was cheaper, better, faster, government licensed and inventory would have been clear and complete. . read more

Totally shocked at the cost of moving seven or eight pieces of furniture, the largest being a library table & a single bed & dresser. All the others were smaller pieces. The move was from the 4th floor to the 1st floor, same building with an elevator. They charged me over $550.00. They were supposed to put a mattress cover on but didn't plus the three men each received a $10.00 tip. The original estimate was for about $360.00. Better get your estimate in writing - I didn't. ***UPDATED 6/19/19- We had these guys move us again and our experience was equally as great as the first time. Our team of movers busted their butts, which couldn't have been easy in the heat. We used Moving At Ease to relocate my 80 year old aunt from her 5 bedroom home to a 2 bedroom senior living apartment. This was scheduled a bit last minute as she fell and broke a hip earlier this year and her home just sold. Tristan, Colby and Austin did a remarkable job at not only keeping her heirlooms safe but keeping her happy. My aunt doesn't realize she is part of the "Silent Generation" and needs to control everything, the movers took this in stride, they couldn't have been more patient. Stay clear of this totally unprofessional moving company. We had them scheduled on February 26 for a move from Glendale to Avondale. That morning they called and cancelled due to a sick crew member. They rescheduled with us for Sunday. Please note we were moving my elderly parents from one facility to another. On Sunday they were scheduled between 11 and 1. They were late a couple hours and then called and cancelled. This left us in a terrible position moving our elderly parents from one facility to another. I can't even imagine what kind of moving company operates like this and doubt the reviews I previously read about them. I plan to call the BBB and report them. read more

I was planning a local move, so I started researching moving companies. I found Moving At Ease on Yelp. The decision of who to use came down to MAE and another well reviewed company on Yelp. I chose MAE and glad I did. The day before the move, MAE called to confirm. Then the morning of the move, Chris who was in charge of my moved called about a half before arrival to confirm he was on the way. Chris arrived at the promised time with Elliot and Gavin. Once they got an idea of everything I had they began to work. They went about the move in a workmen like way. I work out of my home and had a lot of work related items that I needed to move to my storage unit. I had been debating whether I wanted MAE to take those items as well. As MAE got to the end of the I asked about all the work related stuff. Chris said it would be impossible to fit it all in the truck. So I told him I'd think about it as we headed over to my new place. Once the truck was unloaded at my new place I decided to have MAE go back for my work "stuff". The crew took a quick lunch break and met me back at my house. They quickly loaded my work stuff in the truck and headed over to my storage unit. In no time at all my work stuff was unloaded into my storage unit and I was settling up with Chris. Here was the only thing I didn't like about the move. I paid by credit card and was charged a fee. I was not told of the fee in advance and since I was at the storage facility I was unable to write a check since I didn't have one with me. As you can imagine it wasn't a few dollars. Had it not been for this one glitch I would have rated MAE 5 stars, as the crew was great and the actual move went off without a hitch. And yes I'd use MEA again. read more

I have used this company twice now personally. Once to get us to Tucson and once to get us back to Phoenix. Both of my grandfathers have also used this company to move them to and from assisted living facilities. For one of my grandpa's we used them to move him in to the senior living facility and again when he had to move from independent living to assisted living. They took photos of each room in his apartment in independent living and they set his new room up exactly how his old one was. This small touch makes all the difference when moving a 100 year old man. There was no adjusting to where things had moved because they were all put back in their original place. For moving my entire home twice they also did a fantastic job. They are very kind and very very good at Tetris. They were very capable and knew how to do their job. None of my belongings were damaged. They also did fine taking apart and putting back together my exercise equipment. They were patient with me when I couldn't decide which wall I wanted my dresser on. All of my furniture was set up properly. They even helped load and unload some fragile items in to my own vehicle. All in all I would use them again but since I don't plan on moving any time soon I will be using them for referrals for my own business which is placement and referrals to senior living facilities. I found this company because they were recommended by La Siena as they do well with senior living moves. Now you know they are great for regular moves too! read more

Colin and crew arrived as scheduled and did a phenomenal job moving everything from our 2nd floor, 2 bedroom condo to their truck and on to storage at their facility. This included a VERY heavy sleep sofa that required all four of them to get down stairs, but they got it done. Time required matched up very close to what was estimated, so we were please with that also. They seemed to be short of a few packing materials that they needed, but they still persevered and got the job done efficiently and effectively. The entire crew was courteous, professional and polite to the max. One suggestion I might offer is when moving into their storage facility and the things are being transferred from the truck into their "vaults" and then into their climate controlled warehouse, perhaps someone could document that with a few photos. I think it would make the client feel a little better that things had been accomplished satisfactorily and offer reassurance of this. I know it would have given me a bit more peace of mind. I'm confidant everything will be okay, but this would have been a marketable gesture of good will. Again, just a suggestion! All in all though, so far has been a great experience. This is my second time using moving at ease, found them the first time on yelp. My second time I am moving in my own uhaul but had them pack it up. I would assume that Danny and Brent were expert Tetris players because the fit everything in the smaller sized truck I had. King size bed, 8 foot couch, dresser, a few tables, like 15 boxes, my 65" tv, and a bunch of other oddly shaped items. There is even space for more items that I was going to put in my car. They arrived in the time window that they said they would come in. It took a little longer than I thought but I kept in mind that I was on the second floor, 107 degrees, in an apartment complex and they had to make everything fit in the truck that took time. Good rate so it was not a heavy hit to my pocket. They were careful with my things and didn't let me lift a finger. I will no longer be in phx but would recommend them for others, looks like they are keeping up with their demand and not breaking tradition of their core values as a company. read more

For the most part I am very satisfied. There were three glitches however. First the day of the move in there was a possible delay of a full day due to illness. It got resolved after I pointed out that my antiques and oil paintings would need to be in an air cooled space. The truck arrived about seven hours after the projected ETA. The movers were very courteous and helpful. One fragile Mexican pottery antique candlelabra arrived broken and antique armoire somehow was locked after many years and two previous moves not being locked and no key to open it. I'll need to get a locksmith. Hopefully I'll be reimbursed for these two mishaps. Even so, I definitely would recommend this service! read more
