I was just moved over 300 miles by the most efficient and courteous moving company in 50 years! I have experience several moves including one that was 780 miles and another from the US to Europe. Movers On Duty USA LLC delivered the most incredible and difficult move, bar none, that any of the major movers have performed! Leading a team of 5 high-performing workers, Gabriel sold, planned, executed and closed my move from 2 locations to 2 new locations with precision. The Queen of Customer Service, Denisse, along with Marie, Valencio and Norma worked incredibly hard - with perfection - while making me comfortable throughout the 13-hour journey. That was no small feat. I was mesmerized and grateful for this team. They moved me and all of my worldly belongings with the greatest of care. I highly recommend Movers On Duty USA LLC for any move within the continental U.S. You will NOT be disappointed! Dr. Veronica Ann Williams read more

I cannot recommend this company based on our experience. I genuinely wish our move had gone as smoothly as the many positive reviews here suggest, but unfortunately, that was not the case. I'm not even going to get into the issues with how our move was handled or the fact that responsibility has continually been placed on us. What was most disappointing was the way our representative treated me during the follow-up phone call. Instead of listening to my concerns, they were dismissive and demeaning, which was both surprising and unprofessional. I would also caution anyone considering the lower-cost service option. Based on our experience, it felt as though choosing the less expensive option resulted in a lower level of service and support compared to customers paying for higher-priced services. I am attaching only a few pictures of what we found after opening a container to unload. I have more. I'm sad to say this company is accusing us doing this to our belongings. If you're considering this company, I encourage you to do your research and proceed with caution. read more

Great company - very reliable, great pricing, great quality of workers as well! Would not look any further for a moving company. They took care of 6 evictions at my property and were phenomenal. read more

First time using their services, could not be more pleased. Great communication, great job.. highly recommend

Great service. I had them clean out a property after an eviction (junk removal and cleaning) . The job they did was amazing. The property had built up 8-years of use and the team restored it. They were fast, through, and professional. I will be happy to work again with them. read more

Reliable service when it matters the most! The Movers on Duty team helped me with my eviction. They worked fast and were extremely thorough. Highly recommend! read more

I can't say enough good things about Movers on Duty. Gabriel is company's point of contact and he is a dream to work with. He walked me through my first physical eviction, so I was not surprised by the process. The company is a rare find for eviction movers...AAA-rated by Better Business Bureau. The PG County Sheriff's staff is acquainted with Gabriel and Movers on Duty however not allowed to provide leads which is not helpful to anyone in need of this particular service. Gabriel was responsive to my questions, emails, texts, and calls. The eviction went precisely as Gabriel stated. During the eviction, he would inform me of how things were going and the reason for any pause in activities. The workers were prompt, courteous, and well-coordinates. An eviction is a stressful and emotional experience. Movers On Duty made it less so. Impressive! Thank you I highly recommend. I'm using Movers On Duty to remove the unwanted property. read more

Two days before they were scheduled to deliver an item from one state to another they cancelled on me with no solutions offered. Do no recommend their company as they are unreliable. read more

We're a repeated customer of Movers On Duty. They always show up on time with enough people to do the job quickly and effectively. The price is reasonable and they make it easy to make payment. Looking forward to working with them again. read more

Movers On Duty assisted us with two moves, and one for a relative. They were patient with the many changes we had in our closing date, and made sure we were out on time. Their crew was efficient and wrapped our furniture. The price was more than fair for all the work their crew did. We were pleased overall with their efforts. I removed one star because our floor was damaged during the second move, and no response from the company as of yet. Overall, a good company with a hard-working staff. I'm hopeful I'll hear something in the coming days. read more

First time using the company and they were fantastic! They were on time (early) and very professional and polite. We will definitely be using them again for future evictions. read more

Movers on Duty did a terrific job. Their workers were prompt, (actually early) they were respectful, polite, and work very quickly. I will definitely use them again. read more

Thank you, Movers on Duty for making our moving experience AMAZING!!! Things went really well for our move from a single family home to military base housing. Movers on Duty made the process easy. The team was fast, efficient, and careful. Gabriel asked me after each room was cleared to check to make sure everything that I wanted to go, was taken out. He also made sure that I was happy with the setup and placement of the furniture once moved in. Mr. Davey made sure that no time was wasted even with an unexpected delay. I would highly recommend Movers on Duty to anyone looking for a fast, efficient, and attentive moving company. I have already shared their contact information with my brother, who is a licensed realtor, in search of a reputable moving company to assist his clients. read more

I initially gave them 5 stars because I know the work they do is very hard and they were very accommodating during the process of eviction as we all had to wait almost 2 hours for the sheriff to show up. However, I have sent them no less than 5 emails requesting they send photos of when they entered the home as I know this issue is going to end up in court. Not only have they not sent any photos they haven't even had the courtesy to respond. Very, very disappointing. read more

Gabriel was great to deal with. Movers on Duty had true honest pricing. I can say in my 5+ moves, every mover sees what I have, offer a quote and when its time for delivery there are always hidden add on or strange fees, but not with Mover on Duty. They were on time, well communicative and fast and efficient with my move. I HIGHLY recommend them and would use them again. Thank you! read more

This is the second time I have used these folks and once again, they have gone above and beyond. I was actually scheduled to use another firm, but they cancelled one me four days before my scheduled move, leaving me in a bit of a frenzy. Luckily, I was able to get in touch with Movers on Duty and they were able to not only accommodate my original move date and plan, but they also beat the original company's price and provided the packing materials for free (since I was a returning customer). They had me packed, moved, and off-loaded within a few hours. Luis, Boston, and Luis were fantastic and and made sure property was taken care of, from start to finish. I highly recommend!! read more

I hired movers on duty to assist with an eviction. When I say they move fast they had the whole house empty in one hour! The sheriff gives 2 hours and for them to be done in 1 is amazing. The price was worth every penny to get my house back. read more

Very professional. Quick and easy. I would definitely recommend and use again. They showed up early and were ready to go at the time of the eviction. read more

My experience with this company is much more positive than a previous moving company I had used in the past. We received a flat rate for the move and that is all we were charged. They were professional and fast and put all our furniture where it needed to go. Even up our narrow stair case. It gave us a peace of mind knowing our stuff would get to our new home safe and in one piece and we didn't have to do any heavy lifting. My only issue is they came an hour and a half earlier than discussed which kind of threw off our morning but it all worked out. After all moving in July is no easy thing read more

I hired movers on duty back in 2021 when I moved to DC. They were great to work with because they have good prices and friendly movers! They successfully moved a very heavy piano into my apartment. I recently moved into a house and decided to use this company again. I packed everything myself, but they helped with furniture wrapping and loading and unloading the truck. Once again, they were great to work with. Everything arrived at the house in perfect condition. I would recommend this company! read more

Don't use them! They seemed great with accurate quotes and profession when they showed up but between the drive across the country and unloading the truck they damaged most of my furniture even completely breaking a few pieces. Based on reviews I may have just caught them on a bad day but I would have thought an experienced moving company would know how to load a truck to avoid this. Update- Not a fake person. A real dissatisfied customer. Now I'm even more disappointed in this company based on Luis' response. read more

This was the most stress-free move I have ever had. From the moment I requested a quote until the time the move was over it was handled professionally, honestly and very carefully. Before the move I was quoted a price and that included EVERYTHING and that quote did not change at all. Every item was treated with great care and concern. The movers were polite, courteous and friendly and seemed to treat my items as they would treat their own. I will always use Movers on Duty and highly recommend them to others. I literally don't have anything negative to say. And my name is Karen - so that is rare! read more

The Movers On Duty showed up on time/early and had additional personnel than the requested twenty movers. Due to the amount of movers needed (20) they offered me a discounted rate which was great. There was a rocky start with the financial disbursement which could have gone somewhat better on the part of the Manager, but there were emotions on both parts. Yet, as a company I hold more responsibility on them to remain in the most professional at all times. Yet, I do not rate that as a negative against their overall service, but as a note on how to be more improved for the next time. They worked to clear my home in an efficient and swift manner. I would definitely use their services again, especially since they were able to gather so many people with such short notice! I would highly recommend them if you are in the market of owning investment properties and have rental removal responsibilities. Good Job! read more

These guys were AWESOME. We had a really challenging move of getting someone out of a home we own, that had an insane amount of stuff. Movers on Duty were complete pros and showed so much patience with a pretty difficult move. They have earned my business for the future, highly recommend. read more

Movers on Duty did a terrific job helping my son move out of his college apartment. Davy, who drove the truck and helped professionally with executing the move, was courteous, prompt and excellent in all respects. Gabriel, who coordinated things, was professional and courteous and kept things on track. Things went according to plan and we were very pleased with the results. If another move is planned, MOD will get the call. Much recommended. read more

Smooth professional and courteous service. I was looking for a mover to move my daughters belongings out of her college dorm into a local storage company. The truck arrived on time with three people and everything was done in less than 30 mins .Wonderful service . Thank you read more

Movers On Duty were great! They were on time, caring, uniformed and were a pleasure to deal with. We couldn't have been more pleased, specially because they even helped us move our Jaccuzi which wasn't originally part of the job but they did so great moving everything else into our new home that we figured we should have them move that too instead of calling a different company just for that. And instead of complaining all they would say is "sure no problem". All this made it really hard for me to understand why they had such a bad rep in Yelp. And although they are 3 years old reviews, would I have read their reviews before and I might not have hired them. Luckily I didn't. I love these guys! No wonder why they have an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. read more

On the phone, Gabriel is very helpful. In person Gabriel is rude and dismissive. We paid a deposit of half, which is no problem. The evicted tenants moved so there wasn't much to do. Before the job was "done", Ole Gabriel was rushing to get paid. For $1600 and 30 mins...at least make sure the customer is satisfied. I guess police presence makes him rude...maybe? read more

Totally recommend Movers On Duty. They moved my stuff quickly and carefully. Not a scratch or mark on my things or my walls both picking up and unloading. Boston, Rafael and Juan worked like a well oiled machine. read more

Dalmar and Tyrell were my "Movers on Duty" from New Jersey to South Carolina. I could not have asked for a better team! They were quiet, efficient, quick and such a pleasure. Nothing was broken or damaged. Most of all, I felt safe with them along with the office contact. Movers on Duty allow you contract options that other movers do not. I highly recommend Dalmar and Tyrell to transport your belongings to your new location. You will not be disappointed with Movers on Duty. read more

Amazing, professional full-service crew that did everything we expected and more! The team took the stress out of our move, and everyone was extremely polite and courteous! We will definitely use Movers on Duty again, and we recommend everyone else to do the same! read more

You must have been paid good money to say that "Movers on Duty" is an awesome company! This company is a SCAM and the players behind it are all involved, (from owner, manager(Gabriel), hired help (from Craigslist), and scheduler). Unfortunately, I could not unclick the 1-star rating which they DO NOT deserve. The movers were scheduled at 9:30 am and did not arrive at our home until 11:30 am. I was told by Gabriel that their moving truck engine light was on and he did not want to take the chance to have his hired help drive the truck long distance to Georgia. (Note, in reading other reviews this is a common message that Gabriel gives to customers) This led Gabriel to rent another truck, Penske. The truck that initially loaded our furniture was the rented white Penske truck however when our furniture arrived in Georgia it was a yellow Penske truck. The reason why our furniture winded up in another Penske truck is that the initial truck got into an accident and we were never informed of this until the truck arrived in Georgia. We were informed of the accident by the driver, who stated that "he was so upset that he almost left our furniture out on the street because Movers on Duty did not assist him". When we found out about this incident we immediately reached out to the manager, Gabriel, and told him about all the damages that were caused by the accident that we were never informed about. Gabriel's statement, "please feel free to send pictures of the damaged items to this number directly if that's easier". I sent pictures to Gabriel's next statement: "I'm sorry, I'm feeling under the weather. I will try to reach out to you this evening". After trying to reach him he responds with: I won't be able to personally contact you but please send us an email with the actual total amount you are asking for and let us see what we can do and how we can work this out". After all his statements, I never heard back from Gabriel (CRICKETS). Not as much as a call from the owner Luis Montalvo, smh! My husband and I decided to move forward with our plans and have our insurance company go after the scammers. I put my experience with this company out here for you. I DO NOT recommend this company but it's your money and furniture. If you trust this company, then, by all means, go with them. GOOD LUCK!!! See pictures of a few damages caused by MOVERS ON DUTY. There are more pictures but just to give you an idea of how this so-called reputable company operates, this is what we had to endure. Movers On Duty was a great find! We paid a flat fee for our move, which was only to a new apartment on the same floor of the same building. We liked that they didn't try to up-sell us or nickel-and-dime us on charges. The movers were incredibly professional, courteous, efficient and careful. The entire move took about two and a half hours and included moving boxes and two beds, as well s several pieces of furniture. If you're looking for excellent movers in the DMV area who provide great service for about half the price of some of the bigger names (think 2 Guys and a Truck or Two Marines, etc.), look no further than Movers On Duty! read more
