I'm surprised this moving company has such good reviews! I called them when we were looking for movers because of their great reviews on Yelp. I completed an online quote request and got a call back (from Patti, I think) the following day. I returned her call, but had to leave a message with the person answering phones. I didn't hear back for a few days, so I called back and left another message. I finally spoke with the right person - she was very friendly and knowledgeable. She said she would work up quotes for 2 scenarios for me, email them to me, and give me a follow-up call. None of these things happened. Meanwhile, I had contacted a few other moving companies, all of which responded immediately to me. I ended up going with Making Moves and was very pleased with them. EDIT: The guys were on time, super respectful, and totally ready to work. They got all my stuff moved in right at three hours with not a single gripe/complain/anything. This was the first time I have ever used movers. I've always been one to just load in the back of a truck / trailer and enlist friends to do this for me. But after my many moves and much cussing myself later, I finally hired someone to do this. What a relief! Keep Moving LLC was courteous, on time and moved all of my furniture from a first floor apartment to a 3rd floor apartment all within the 2 hours they allotted me. We used Keep Moving for our move from South Austin to Buda. I had purchased a Groupon for a 2 hour move for $99 which helped us save a good bit even though the move took closer to 4 hours (it was for a 4 bedroom two story home). The scheduler was communicative and laid everything out for us from the get-go. There were no surprises other than they had estimated too much time for the move. Maybe it helped that my husband and I had everything boxed up and furniture disassembled as much as we could. The movers themselves were great! They called to say they would be about 15 minutes late which we appreciated since we were driving between Austin and Buda. They showed up, got right to work, and got everything into the truck with no problem. They packed things well, used moving blankets for all of our real wood and glass furniture and were careful with those pieces. We've used movers for our last 3 moves and every time it seems as though one little thing goes wrong. This move was made quite easy because of the help we got from Keep Moving! I only stated my opinion of my experience so that others can have as much information as possible. Cleanliness is an issue when it comes to my property as I am sure you would not want your property treated as such. Additionally, I did not ask you for any amount of money up front, I was simply asking if that was something your company would do to make the situation right - offer to pay at least some of the dry cleaning. But, now after seeing the 'fuss' this has become, I do not want any form of reimbursement from your company as it simply is not worth it. And again, I do not recommend this company and will not be recommending it to my family, friends, or colleagues in the Austin area. Ultimately you have taught not only Luke a lesson but our entire staff as well, I thank you for that .We will communicate better in regards to asking about sweat transfer and offer to individually wrap each sofa cushion to prevent this. Since this Sofa was a microfiber sofa I hope you were able to simply wipe it down with a mild cleaner to get it back to your sanitary satisfaction. If you had not moved out of town as I offered we would have happily come with a cleaning rag and wipe it down for you. Luke actually offered to do that himself. My wife and I were moving to New Orleans, and really didn't feel like moving all of our stuff downstairs and into the trailer ourselves. We called up Keep Moving Texas and couldn't be happier. These guys were worth every penny. They were polite, courteous and on time. They treated every item we had as if it were their own and never stopped working the entire time. They were done loading our entire two bedroom apartment within two hours, which is roughly the time we were quoted. They even went through the trouble of wrapping our doorframe with a pad so it didn't get dinged or scratched. I would highly recommend this company. read more

My realtor suggested this company. I have moved 15 times in the many tears I have lived here. I have had things broken, floors scratched, been hit on, etc... I am so pleased. They quickly called me back from an online inquiry and gave me quotes both hourly and set amt. i chose hourly. They checked in with me a cew times in the weeks leading up to mymove. Prior to the move they confirmed the date, time, and location. The day of, the mover, Hector, called 40 mins in advance to tell me their status. He and Eddie arrived right on time. They were exceptionally professional. I am disabled. Sometimes i need a little extra help. They put the boxes where i requested so i could reach them, checked each box for where it belonged, a generally did a nice job. I was so pleased I even increased the amount of tip I had planned to provide. The cost was about $100 less than I thought since they were quick but thorough. I highly recommend them. I called a week in advance to get a queen size bed moved to me. The Friday before the move I recieved a confirmation call to tell me that the movers would be there between 2-4 pm on Saturday. At 2 pm on Saturday I received a call from the office to tell me the guys were running behind it would be closer to 4pm. At 4:30 I called the office and the girl who answered said they were still running behind she was trying to locate them. (scared me) she said she would call me back as soon as she heard from them. Well I still haven't heard from her or any one else from Keep Moving..... and it's been two weeks now. I have left several messages and no return call. Even if they could not do the jobs because something happend a call back would have been nice. And I must say I did not enjoy sleeping on the floor in a sleeping bag. P.S. I have been contacted from Derik the General Manager of Keep Moving. I am happy that he is concerned over this matter and is going to check with his staff on Monday to see what happened. read more

Good movers, but don't hire this company if you have time constraints or are on a tight schedule. If I had to be out of my apartment the day I originally scheduled the move, I would have been screwed. My move was supposed to happen on a Sunday (Superbowl Sunday) between 12-2 pm. At around 1:58 I get a call asking if someone else had contacted me. I said no and then he said something about another move going way over the time estimate and that he was actually out of town. My options? They could do it late that night, maybe (his exact words) or at 8 am the next morning. I agreed to 8 am but said I had to be somewhere at 11:30 and he said, "I promise you my guys will be knocking at your door at 8 am." At 7:50 the next morning they call me to tell me they're on their way and will be here at 8:30. They finally got my apartment at 9. They also moved my boyfriend the following week and were also late. Fortunately, not a day late but called an hour before asking if they could get there early and he agreed. They showed up over an hour later. Despite their lack of timeliness, they were good movers. They moved my stuff in two hours and that included taking apart my bed and putting it back together. They were friendly and fast. EDIT: After actually posting this on the wrong mover's Yelp, the company contacted me and apologized. Said they are working on it and offered a $25 gift card for the inconvenience. They took good care of us. The day after we moved, I went back to the old house to find water leaking out of the washing machine valve and seeping under our hardwood floors. I assumed that the movers hadn't closed the valve completely and called the office. In less than an hour they had a restoration company at our house with all the needed equipment at no cost to us. A day later, we got a call from the restoration company telling us water was spraying from the valve onto their equipment. Turns out the valve was faulty (the refrigerator valve failed too) and the movers were not at fault. We called Keep Moving to let them know. They picked up the tab for the restoration company's time up to that point, even though it was not their fault. No questions asked. That's customer service - above and beyond. I've never had such a fantastic experience with movers. Patti scheduled me on the phone and was super friendly and responsive and came up with a package that would fit my needs. On the day of the movie, two men bearing striking resemblances to He-man and Hercules showed up at the front door. They moved at lightening speed and got done in less than half the time we'd allocated. Nothing was scratched or knicked either, so all in all, this was a total win. I would recommend this company any day of the week and plan to use them for my next move! read more

Used a groupon for $100 worth of moving services. The guys were a little early, called me, and seemed a little frustrated that I wasn't home yet. Probably wanted to get home, I think I was the last move of their day. That's fine, they were nice and friendly, helped me scramble to get all my stuff in the truck, and followed me through heavy traffic to my new apartment. As I was unpacking, I noticed a few chips and scratches on the furniture, mainly an antique dresser, (1950's, handed down from my grandparents) which I was sad about, mainly upset over the sentimental value they hold. Not worth filing a claim with the company, 60 cents a pound is a ridiculously low rate. Would I use them again? Maybe. I would be more diligent about overseeing my furniture loaded and unloaded. I wouldn't move anything very fragile with them though. read more

My fiancée and I were moving from apartment to apartment. Staff was very friendly over the phone and in person. An accident happened while moving from our old place, but the movers contacted the front office and took full responsibility. Very fast, friendly, and professional service. I originally used groupon for their service, very satisfied. The second time, I used the returning customer pricing for two hours. I wish they would offer 1 hour appointments as well, but that's for later I guess. 1st time, I was very satisfied for their service, and my move was over within the hour, scheduled 3weeks in advance just so I would have my preference in moving date and time and it was a stress free move-May 2012. 2nd tiime, reserved about 2 days before my move, and they were very accommodating for my schedule. They scheduled the move before the day but there was a mix up in the confirmation follow up on my behalf so I guess no harm done by them; however I wish they had offered additional discount since I used only 35 minutes of their service, and they were way too eager to leave. Took there time with arrival (15 minute late) Didn't follow up with my confirmation of the appointment. Offered discount based on the mix up, but wasn't enough to fit my needs. Also, the workers were way rushing, so I dare did not ask for them to unload my items from the boxes. read more

Great service! Highly recommend. After skimming through countless forewarning reviews and comparing budget breaking pricing, I settled on Keep Moving. I was pretty sceptically, especially after purchasing a Groupon. The front desk was easy to get for questions and provided straight forward estimates; but after buying the Groupon, it took a few phone calls before I could get a hold of someone to schedule our move. On the day of the move a received a friendly courtesy call verifying the arrival time of 5pm-7pm. Of course I figured they would arrive later. At 5pm I receive a very apologetic phone call, saying they would arrive in an hour -I was surprised because this seems so normal! The guys arrived shortly after. Chris and Damon were super friendly and helpful. They moved quickly and efficiently, moving more than I thought we had time for, and packing our furniture carefully. They were careful not to scratch anything, and patently waited as we placed floor protectors on all of our furniture. read more

I moved my apartment on March 21, 2014. The workers - Mike and Walker - are nice and polite. When moving to my new apartment, they dropped my washer down a flight of stairs and it was broken. The worker blamed it on the wheel of the dolly falling off and thus he lost his balance and dropped it. All of this probably could have been resolved if he had straps which the workers claimed had been stolen due to a truck break- Resolution for replacement/settlement was finally made on 4/14/2013 (25 days later) - email me if you want more details. read more

I used the 2 hr Living Social discount that a friend gave me - a mere $50 transport fee was all I owed, and Jennifer in the office made me well aware of that when we initially spoke and made the appointment. Moving day: I actually had to request the guys hold off a few arriving since I was at my new place getting my cable modem installed. Once I called to let them know if was cool to show up, they arrived in a reasonable time afterwards. Chris and Rick were both very quick and polite and professional. I had set a 45-minute timer on my phone so that if they were still working on getting stuff out at that time, I could stop them since I didn't want to go over the two hours. Well, by the time they got all my stuff out of the garage, we had been back at my new place for a good 10 minutes by the time the alarm went off. All in all, it was about 1:50 for them to get me into my new place and get the bed set up. Not bad at all, and well worth the $50 transport fee and the two $10s I gave the guys as a tip. I have some other items in storage at my brother's house and plan to use this company again either for getting that stuff out, or my next move. read more

There were so many obstacles with the logistics of our move from NC to Austin, but Keep Moving went above and beyond to assist us with a positive attitude. Day two of my unpacking and haven't found the slightest scratch on anything. The movers, Addison and Will, were awesome; very friendly and diligent workers who went above and beyond. 3rd floor with no elevators... my hat goes off to those guys. The cost was reasonable compared to others in the area. The only thing that could have been better was possibly an in-house quote rather than an estimate (Estimate was 5.5 hours and ended up taking us 9.5 hours; came as quite a suprise). Horrible moving experience. After quoting me for 2 hours and a half for a 2 bedroom apartment, the 2 guys took 6 hours to move our stuff. They walked at turtle pace and did not know how to efficiently transport stuff from storage to truck. If it wouldn't have been for me telling them to pick up the pace every 3 seconds, the guys would have taken each piece of disassembled wood one by one to the truck. When I called the manager to complain after seeing the way things were going, he was just plain rude. He claimed his people were highly qualified for their job. Well not the ones I got. I recommend this company observe their employees' work to get a sense of their quality. Don't be fooled by their cheap price. 3 months ago I moved out of a 3 bedroom apartment and Two Men and a Truck only took 21/2 hours in the move. Certainly a huge difference. read more

Then tell me it's gonna take 4hrs, um no. The mgr Derek says well I'm full tom, maybe I can have another co move u, fine I say. Next day around 9a mgr says ok another co can do it this afternoon. I call back around noon, mgr says well we can do it now, later on. Finally at 6p I get a call,ok w can move u now! Really! I hired another co and told this co to take they're comp move and shove it. Terrible experience. I do not usually hire a moving company if I need to move, but I was convinced by my wife to do so to remove some stress during our recent move. The movers informed me that a desk I had would take an extra hour just to break down and move, which I did later on my own without even needing to break it down. They broke a large glass base to my television and left glass all over my property. When moving they got lost and had my wife waiting for an hour at the new house alone. When attempting to get my television repaired or replaced I was forced to deal with the president of the company. This was the most infuriating part of my move as he was often unresponsive, with constant excuses for the weeks of delayed conversation. Ultimately he was unable to repair my television and unwilling to replace it with a like model, providing us with a sum of what he informed us was all he was legally obligated to. I am not sure if I would ever use a moving company again after this, much less Keep Moving. I feel like was was must through far more stress and insult with my dealings here. I urge you great caution and suggest you look elsewhere for your needs. If you are looking for people who will treat you and your belongings with respect, look elsewhere. read more

We were given a timeframe of 830-930, the two guys (Michael and Marcus) showed at 910, and were ready to rock. No wasted effort. We moved from a third floor to a third floor place in a different building, and they had to deal with a 400+ lbs leather couch. It was difficult, but they made it work without a mark on it. In fact, I don't think there was a scratch on anything they moved, or the walls, the floors, nothing. They were careful not to slide anything, etc. To top it off, they were both polite as hell, and very professional. I offered them water, food, Gatorade, sandwiches, everything. They only took water and a granola bar as they moved, and then took the sandwich after the clock was off. I felt really good about the time and money spent on the move, they did not waste time. I'd definitely recommend these guys to anybody. read more

This has been my first ever time i have hired movers to move my stuff, i found these guys on Groupon for a great rate! My girlfriend and i moved out of a one bedroom apartment on the 2nd floor to another one down the road that was also on the second story. We have a lot of stuff. from start to finish they took 2.25 hours, they even moved in the dark and they moved more stuff that we weren't planning on moving just yet. They were fast, safe, and most importantly careful, the 2 guys that came were so nice and they were really polite. i would def recommend this company to others and will be using them again in the future. They were running behind and apologized like the ultimate professionals. They had smiles on the entire time and stopped to ask how our sale went that day. I was very happy with my move. First the office people were great. I had to cancel the move and reschedule once and they were great about that. The day of the move the driver of the truck Desmond called me first thing in the morning with his cell phone number to see if I had any questions and let me know his schedule. He also kept me informed of the schedule throughout the day which was helpful. Once they got there, him and the other guy Marcus had a great attitude and were probably the most pleasant thing about the move. I did take away one star because they were almost two hours late getting there which seems to be a theme from a lot of reviews. I was boarding my dog to keep him out of the way and I had to pay another night because of the lateness. Bottom line though was the whole move took less time than the estimate making it cheaper than the quote. The movers pleasant demeanor and hard work just made everything better. read more

I scheduled an appt for a quote early in the week. 10 min before they were supposed to come out Patty called and said she had an emergency she had to attend to so she rescheduled for Sat. at 10am. 10 am rolls around and no call from Patty. DO NOT use this moving company! I originally chose this company because I purchased a living social coupon and figured they would be reputable. WAS I WRONG! I have a very small bedroom apt. that has should only take 2 hours to move at the most (based on prior experience). It took the movers 6 hours! They would disappear for long periods of time. But the WORST thing that happened is that they dropped my brand new Pottery Barn dresser on the concrete. Wood is missing and they will not replace it. The owner basically told me, he is not going to fix it. They sent some repair guy over to put plastic on it, seriously?!?! I beg you do not use this company, learn from my mistake!! I'm a little mixed about this one! I didn't have any major problems, but no one contacted me for a follow up so we could discuss the minor issues. Patty was great when I spoke with her over the phone to set up the move. Now on to the actual movers...........the trailer they came in was not big enough for all of things, so they would have to make two trips, on our dime because they are paid by the hour. Then on our way to the new house, which is only 15 min, but it took them 45 min, remind you they are paid by the hour. Then a couple of things got broken and the movers really didn't want to reassembly our things that they disassembled. Addison and Jerry helped me with my move yesterday and they were great! Showed up on time, calling me 30 minutes before their arrival. They were able to move an over-sized couch out of my apartment that had taken the original delivery men 30 minutes to do in 5 min. They were also able to get my move from Northwest Austin to way South done in less time then I was originally estimated. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because I had trouble getting Jennifer in the office to call me back when I had questions about my move. Patty was very helpful whenever she answered the phone though. I would definitely use them again in the future. read more

This moving company is great. The movers, Desmond and Mike, worked hard and fast. They were also very nice and polite. Nothing was broken and we had no issues at all. We will definitely use these guys again!!!!!! We used a groupon and we had no problem using it. The only reason we didn't give them 5 stars is because they were late BUT they informed us that early on in the day and did so very politely and were very sincere about how they were moving as fast as they could to get through each job before ours so we had no problem waiting. These guys were awesome! I've never used movers before, but after our last move, my husband and I said we would never do it on our own again. Thankfully I came across Keep Moving. They had the best rate and friendliest service. Mandi was very helpful before the move and answered all my questions. We had two movers, Oscar and Eric, they were amazing. I couldn't believe how fast they moved and were so nice and funny too! We went from a 3rd floor apartment to a first and they hauled it on those stairs. It took less than 3 hours and they were done. There was some minor damage on our dresser, but it's cheap IKEA furniture and it wasn't holding up that well on it's own anyway. I was mostly concerned about my son's dresser because I had just painted and re-stained it, it was mine as a kid. I was afraid it would get all scratched up. NOT a scratch on it! Hopefully I won't be moving again for a long time, but if so I'm not going with anyone else! read more

I hired this company because I had a Groupon for two hours. When the movers showed up, it old them what all I wanted moved that day, because I had other movers coming the next day. I asked them to move my dressers, night stands, and couches. I asked them not to take down my bed because I still had time before I needed to leave, and I knew it would take over the 2 hours the groupon was for. They still took my bed apart, They moved my dresser first, and did not wrap it up in blankets, or quilts. This dresser was less than 6 months old, and I had it delivered and set up in the house it was being moved from. When it got to the new house the dresser had scratches on the side of the dresser from where they did not pick it up while it was on the dolly. My leather couches had been professionally cleaned the day before they came, and I double checked to makes sure of the condition. It was perfect, before the move. Now I have scratches on the sides. The move took longer than two hours. When I asked them to stay below two. They also did not put on the balance beams on my bed, so at any hard fall it will break,They offered me 50$. I will never ever use this company again!!! read more
