I'm very torn writing this review because the movers were polite and hardworking, but the company itself is not reliable or trustworthy. I received a quote from Matt (with hourly rates and truck fees based upon) the following: one day of packing with a 2-man crew, and one day of moving with a large truck and a 4-man crew. Matt's total estimate for this was $2843 and the estimate paperwork clearly states that they will not bill you more than 125% of the total estimate. Fast forward to moving day: They showed up with a small truck and a 3-man crew. Because the truck was small, the movers had to make 2 trips instead of 1 (resulting in more hours of them being "on the clock") in order to complete my move. I called Nick and told him the movers were working hard and I had no complaints about them, but I wanted to make sure that my bill was downward adjusted to reflect that I didn't receive what I had ordered: a large truck and a 4-man crew. Nick assured me that he would adjust the hourly rate to reflect that it was a 3-man crew. Well, Nick didn't do what he said he would. I ended up being charged the same hourly rate ($205) that was on my estimate for a 4-man crew AND I ended up getting charged more than 125% of my total estimate. For the discrepancy in the truck size and crew size, Nick only gave me a $99 discount. Screenshots verifying the above are attached. Note that I still tipped the movers well because they shouldn't have to be punished for their corporate mismanagement, but all in all, pretty disappointed with this company. I gave an extra star just because the movers themselves were great. I was referred to Movegreen by my realtor at Coldwell Banker, who also recommended Stratton & Sons. Movegreen were very professional. They did not move for me but packed my things. Overall they did a decent job!

This is an updated review as I have more info regarding the quality of the service. As soon as I listed my home for sale, I contacted Movegreen for an estimate. I chose them because the business was formerly Watford Moving which I had used twice before with great results. The move coordinator came to my home, we did a walkthrough, and I received a preliminary quote. An estimated move date was set. After my home sold, I contacted the move coordinator and revised the move date to the first day I would have access to my new property. According to him there was no problem and everything was a go. When he came to do a final inventory of what was going to be moved 3 days before the move date, he changed the agreed upon arrangement and move date to a day which was not an option for me as it was mandatory for me to be out of the sold property on the previously agreed upon date. His suggestion was that I stay in a hotel near my new home with my cat until his new move-in date. After much discussion on the move-in date, we agreed on the original move-in date only the move was going from 2 days to 1 and I would have to pay for 2 extra workers (from 4 to 6) which increased the cost of the move. Without no other choice, I agreed to a one day move of 2 trucks and 6 men. On move-out, there was no way I could keep track of what 6 men were doing while I was upstairs trying to pack clothing into wardrobe boxes brought that morning. I didn't get to see whether they were wrapping furniture or how it was being put into the trucks. When it was time to leave the move-out location, and I was walking toward the foyer to leave, I was met with the entire foyer flooded with several inches of water because one of the workers had used the powder room toilet and flushed a large quantity of toilet paper which caused the toilet to overflow and it continued to do so until I turned the water valve off. By then all of my cleaning towels and rags were packed and on the truck so I made them clean it up with packing paper. I was horrified to leave the home in that condition for the new owners. When I arrived at the move-in location, both trucks were parked in front of my home and a neighbors home I hadn't met yet. I apologized to the neighbor and said I would try to get everything moved in as quickly as possible. Everything seemed to be going better than the move-out experience until one of the workers turned on loud music that could be heard throughout the entire neighborhood and beyond. Again, I was horrified as it's a retirement community. My impression of the workers was they were inexperienced and had no knowledge of, or appreciation for, expensive furniture. There was no respect for my property or me. I definitely would NOT recommend this company. PS: The insurance is worthless as most people won't be able to supply the info the insurance company requires to file a claim. read more

So I actually did not book these guys, they got sun-contracted to me via Skinny Wimp. However they were great. The movers were kind to my furniture and very helpful. They would have packed way more stuff if i had let them. Everything was carefully packed, wrapped, and loaded into the moving truck. They were quick on load and unload. A 2 bedroom with An hour and a half drive was done in 5 hours and 20 mins. 1.3 hours to load with stairs, 3 hours drive time, and 1 hour to unload. We had utilized Movegreen's services and frankly they were horribly managed and their customer service is atrocious. With them being closed on the weekend with no means of communication even during business hours that is only the forefront. We had purchased Groupons for this service and we worked with an individual named Rod, whose staff while on-site looking at the move that was pending in front of them on moving day had confirmed with us that our move could be finished within the allotted time we had paid for under their Terms and Conditions of our Groupons, so we thought great! It's just going to be smooth sailing from here. After a miserable day of moving in the rain and still not being able to move everything that they had promised would be moved and put into the truck (which we had to rent another truck from u-haul and move on our own, it was that much stuff leftover) we were told that we were going to be charged more on top of what we already paid via our Groupons which was promised prior to the start of the move would cover their services. Aside from being grossly overcharged and lying about coverage of their Groupons as they promised my biggest issue with MoveGreen is as follows: After starting the remainder of our move (mentioned above, that we still had boxes and furniture remaining that needed to be moved) the next day and to move the remainder of our things. As we were moving along we discovered a huge crack in our iMac desktop computer of the screen which was clearly made by one of their moving crew as they turned the computer around and put it in the corner of the back room undoubtedly trying to hide the damage for us to find on a later date and not be held responsible. Contacting Move Green on this issue was a nightmare as they don't have readily available contact information nor are they open on the weekends. Once again we were directed to Rod (rod@movegreen.com) to help with our damage claim. After filling in the paperwork and sending in photos of the damage on 12/3/2018 we heard nothing and had to continually follow up week after week with no update. Until we were sent a piece of mail only a week ago (two months after our claim was filed) that since the item was damaged on the property of the first location (location we were moving from) and not during the actual move/drive that they were denying our claim. This is ridiculous, their insurance is a joke if it only covers damage during the drive between locations and not what happens on the two corresponding locations. Do not use them for moves as it seems they don't honor their policy on full-insurance nor do they honor their quoted prices. Horrible customer service. Additionally, I want to note that our movers were very hardworking and had informed us that they were a horrible company to work for who treated them extremely poorly and often underpaid them. Great service from beginning to end. Rod set up a few weeks prior, confirmed with estimate and the movers arrived within the time they text me. Juan and Issac were very professional and explained the whole process. They were done well before the 2 hours I purchased on Groupon. They were also very careful with my belongings. There was a slight miscommunication on the final charges but Rod corrected it and applied a credit as soon as I called. Will definitely use them again for any future moves! read more

So so so worth it! Eric and Jeff were amazing! The sweetest guys, so fast, and so professional! We found them on Groupon and I was expecting just some guys with no equipment to move our stuff, but nope. They had everything! Wraps, tape, boxes, etc. They were so fast as well- we live on the 3rd floor and they were like "yea no problem, we can bring your dresser full of clothes down." Amazing. I also needed to pick up a fridge from Best Buy and they made a stop and picked up my Fridge for me. Amazing all around. It was sweltering hot and they were sweating their butts off, so I felt bad and got them some lunch because they looked so tired! But they never complained or anything at all. I just used Movegreen for the 2nd time in as many years. I FINALLY got into the condo I wanted, and was NOT going to use anyone ELSE. Now, I obviously don't wanna move again for years, but, IF I had to, I'd call Movegreen for the 3rd time. YOU simply cannot afford to call anyone else. These folks are essentially moving Ninjas. They are ALWAYS on time, ALWAYS careful with your stuff (esp. antiques!) and simply. just. execute. No muss, no fuss, and extremely fair prices (hourly). So, if you get a quote for an 8 hour day, but your crew JUST SHREDS THE WORK AND IS DONE IN 3 HOURS?!?!? You pay HALF the quote (min. 4 hours), WHAT a niiiiiiice surprise!!!! I've wasted a ton of energy on this company and their absolutely dire level of professional failure. -Their movers broke hundreds of dollars worth of my property -I had to email the CEO for any kind of dignified response -I filled out their insurance form for their broken items -Their movers were COMPLETELY INCOMPETANT and I was left wondering if I should have micromanaged them. However, that was not an option due to their young movers' egos/attitudes -I am still awaiting a response on my insurance claim after TWO MONTHS and they have not responded to me. -These damages were all verified by their management team through pictures and accounts made by their team. WARNING!!!! Do NOT use this company!!! These guys do not know how to do anything they are NOT professionals whatsoever. There's a reason why they advertise on Groupon. Not to mention they try to pull a bait and switch. You will always pay a lot more than what you expect. I spent so much money on storage and boxers and now I can't even go to the storage to pick up any of the boxes because these guys have managed to ruin every single one of them. These are lay down wardrobe boxes that I spent all night and days packing and taping and we re-taping. You can see from the picture the box on the very top that's the bottom that I taped up multiple times after watching a YouTube video. These guys decided to load these boxes onto the truck sideways standing up ON TOP OF ONE another!!! WHY?!!!! By the time we arrived at storage and he started to unload the boxes and started putting heavy boxes on top of the lighter boxes on top of BREAKING all the boxes IN HALF already in the truck - look at the big crease in the middle of the boxes and all the pictures. Highlights: took great care of our stuff. Punctual. Friendly. Definitely would use again! We used MoveGreen for our move at the end of May. We had lots of stuff from our 2/2 apartment. They arrived promptly and worked so efficiently! I was given a window of arrival from 8-9am and they showed up at 8:15. They made our lives so easy and took great care of our stuff. Everything from our expensive desktops & monitors, to our tvs and glass desk was in prestine condition upon arrival. We used a color-coding system for our stuff using post-its and then labeled each box and room. The movers were then able to put the boxes in the appropriate room opposed to putting everything in the living room. This allowed us to unpack around them so we were almost entirely unpacked by the end of the day! They were so kind and accommodating. Booked Movegreen for a move at the end of 6/2019. Not only did they show up an hour late for our move, but I was overcharged. I have been in correspondence with them and I have had to initiate several conversations after being told they would call me back, which they didn't. They told me they would honor the Groupon price ($199 for 3 hours) without purchasing the actual Groupon since they pay a fee for purchasing through Groupon. Now they are saying it was a different price and they won't honor what they originally told me. It was $150/hour for 3 guys after 3 hours which I didn't mind paying since our total time was 4 hours. I have no choice but to call my credit card company to dispute the charge. The actual movers themselves were fine, but the office staff is unhelpful. read more

They delivered my furniture to our garage & left it without leaving a pathway so it's all blocking the entrance. they balanced smaller items haphazardly - breakables on top of badly balanced items. looked like a hurry up and shove it in there situation. Well let me say moving is nobodies favorite time but with Herman and Bryan, it was much easier. Herman was very straight forward and honestly, let me know charges restrictions, upfront cost no hidden fees. Bryan was my comic relief kept my daughter and i entertained while still being efficient. The time went by so fast they were both constantly moving in and out got my 2 bedrooms 2 baths upstairs unit apartment moved out and into our new place in 3.5 hours. I can't beat the price my mother had just moved the following weekend and she paid 3x more. This is a temporary move, so I'll be definitely be using them next year. My husband and I purchased a special that Movegreen was offering through Groupon. I called and asked if they had December 15th available. The gentleman I spoke to said they did and asked what time I would like. I asked for 8am. He told me they could be there between 8-9am. So I booked it. All confirmed! We'll see you on December 15th. The day before my move day I called to confirm but nobody got back to me. Come move day they were a no show! Mind you, we had booked and paid a month in advance! We were stuck waiting until Monday to speak with a live person because they're closed on the weekends. My husband called Monday and talked to one of Movegreens customer service representatives letting him know what had happened to our no show on Saturday. Despite all the raving reviews that this company received, my personal experience with Movegreen is totally opposite. I'll get credit to a customer service. They are responsive. However, the actual crew of movers that helped us move this past Monday was quite unacceptable. 1) Lazy movers - when the crew just arrived we explained them that there is a stairway right near our one-bedroom apartment (i want to emphasize it is ONE-bedroom apartment on FIRST floor) near which they can comfortably park their truck. However, the lead mover said that they prefer to use elevator which would require them to go through the entire apartment building (it is a huge apartment building). So instead of lifting few pieces of furniture and other miscellaneous items and taking them one floor down through the stairway, they started leisurely loading their little platform with few items to carry it through the entire building. It was especially hilarious looking at them when they were loading their platform with an item that wouldn't go through the main door opening and were forced to unload everything and load it back on the platform! Despite several requests to speed up the process and actually start doing their job (lifting the items and taking them one floor down via the stairway) they kept wasting our time! I want to point out that the movers did NOT reassemble anything (i reassembled everything for them) and my wife and I ourselves fully loaded two of our own cars just to help them. This is ridiculous! But this doesn't end there. At the destination place, a new apartment complex that is located 15 minutes away from our old place, they did EXACTLY the same what they did in our old place. Despite the request to park by the entrance to the building where our new apartment was located (this time there was an elevator) they parked behind the building at the opposite side of our apartment. They even lied that they were here few days ago and that there was a freight elevator there. We personally went there and checked it but there was no freight elevator. At this point we demanded to move their truck and park it near the entrance close to our apartment. Long story short, guess how long took them to move ONE-bedroom apartment with one bed, one couch, two TVs, two desks, one shelf, few boxes and few other miscellaneous items to a new apartment 15 minutes away? Well, 4 hours and 15 minutes! A polite owner Nick told me that this is a standard for one-bedroom which is absolute BS! 2) Sloppy movers - the movers clearly either didn't have appropriate expertise on how to handle the items or lacked some resources. They did wrap some items (in quite a sloppy way though) and some items like mattress they didn't even bother to wrap! They broke a lamp and damaged few other pieces of furniture. I called and spoke with the owner of this company and requested to do something regarding this situation. I was obviously not planning to pay for 4 hours and 15 minutes to move ONE-bedroom apartment! So Nick the owner applied 30 minutes discount. Anyway, as a person who moved multiple times in general and in particular 4 times in the last 12 months, i can tell you with certainty that time required to move a one-bedroom apartment should NOT exceed two and a half hours. In our case it should have taken even less due to all the reasons that i listed above. Obviously it was a first and last time we hired Movegreen company for our own and our clients' relocation needs. However, before hiring these guys for your relocation needs, i urge you to listen to my advise and NOT hire them due to their employees' laziness and sloppiness. read more

Rod at the home office was friendly and professional and made the scheduling part so easy.
