Quoted $525 -- Charged Over $1,000 Move4Less quoted me $525 for a one-bedroom move across the parking lot. I ended up paying over $1,000--nearly double the quote. Broken Furniture They broke my $1,500 kitchen table (caught on Ring camera) but denied my claim on a technicality. Slow & Unprofessional They didn't start working for 25 minutes, and most of the time only one guy worked while the other one stood around. After 4.5 hours, they pushed my belongings onto the sidewalk and said they were done. It's a scam because they know you can't move it all yourself. Then you are charged double to finish the job. $320 extra Extra Charges I was forced to pay an extra $320 after they stalled for 45 minutes "waiting for a manager." Once I paid, they suddenly finished in 30 minutes--but billed me for two hours. They also charge an extra 30 minutes just for "drive time" from their office. Ignored Instructions Despite asking them not to block garages, they parked there anyway and had to stop every 15 minutes to move the truck. Bottom Line Dishonest, unprofessional, and a complete scam. I was quoted $405 to simply have the movers load a truck I had already rented, as they didn't have space in their warehouse to store my things for a couple of days. ( that was quoted at $350/day) movers took 4 hours to move me out of a casita attached to a main home, the place is 600sq feet. Not only did they leave so much behind that I then had to scramble and transport myself, they also had me go buy my own moving blankets and bungee cords, which I was not told I would have to supply. They also broke the springs on my iron storm door and said nothing. All in all I would say do not use, ended up costing me about $700 when all was said and done. We booked two weeks about before move. Called 2 days before and the day before, to make sure we were confirmed, we kept calling them. Day before move we called them again, to double check. They said we were scheduled for a block time slot next day, ready for move. Called them that day of move after waiting hours for truck, after packing everything . Found out on phone we were dropped even though nothing was sent to us. And the day before we were confirmed for move day over phone when we called. Just use another moving company. Scheduling is an issue, no follow up. No phone calls from them. We were told that they sent us texts and kept trying to get hold of us get we never received any email or text except the Welcome text when we first booked them. They quoted $1400 and charged $1585. They were very rude to my wife. They left a bunch of stuff in our apartment unpacked. Their dispatch lady was useless when I told her they botched their timeline. The manager was nice and professional in the beginning, but couldn't be bothered to help after I complained about his company's service. On TOP of that, I have damage to my brand NEW home and personal property, I have made multiple calls requesting the damage to be fixed it has been 2 months with no progress. Within minutes of posting this review, I was sent an email to my personal email from Megan P (customer service manager) calling my review false and asking for me to remove it. This is after I told her never to contact me again (see email C below). This company utilizes hidden fees, a poorly written contract, and other scams (like mileage miscalculation) to increase the final rate (double or triple) the original quote. I was able to eventually get a refund bc the company admitted they overcharged me and issued a refund (see email C). But not after being on the phone multiple times, getting hung up by Megan P, and being demanded by Megan P via email that I "reach out via email" only with further concerns (see email A). She wrote this email after being rude repeatedly on the phone with me and then hanging up on me. She refused to transfer me or help me in any way. In conjunction with the email, she sent an annotated copy of the contract where she highlighted it and marked it up. Her behavior was so rude, condescending, and ridiculous. Megan P, here you go. I updated my review per your request with all the info of what happened. I had no intention to go into this amount of detail, but I am compelled to do so after you decided to further harass me, call me a liar, and lie about hanging up on me and how I was treated by you. I was quoted one number and was quoted another price when the movers arrived. Figures because they moved like snails. Then on top of it when the supervisor said that he would adjust the time and didn't after they stood around for an hour is was presented with the bill and it was not adjusted. Only reason I hired someone was so that I would not have to lift a finger. Especially since I just had back surgery. Would not recommend them at all. I'm so upset and sore as a result of their inability to do efficient and honest work. I have called their main office and will reply with the outcome of that phone call. WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE! I would rate it a 0 if I could! They were supposed to arrive between 11-2 pm, I called on moving day to see if they could narrow down the time, I was told 1 pm. 1 pm came and went, I called again and was told 4 pm. I called dispatch again as it got closer to 4 pm and was told 6 pm. Then the driver called and asked if they could reschedule the move to the next day. WHAT? We needed to be out! In that same conversation, the driver had the balls to suggest that we pay for a 4th person to help move us faster. Needless to say, my husband ripped them a new one for 1. arriving 4 hours late, 2. not calling to keep us updated, 3. the nerve to suggest that we pay for another guy when they were running late AND we had a contract with an amount and 4. they scratched a door at our old house (which we had to go back and paint) and 5. scratched our hardwood floor in our new house and several pieces of furniture! Needless to say, movers were moving us in till 11pm and Move 4 Less paid for the 4th mover. HIGHLY suggest you do not use Move 4 Less in Reno. We obviously did not receive the same customer service and movers that the people who gave high ratings did. read more

this company moved my stuff in such a hurry. They broke the glass on my credenza. They yanked out the cord from my immersive stereo in my couch and it no longer works correctly and then they turned around and offered $48 to fix all of it beware of this company do not use them. They do not pay for their claims. They use a third-party claim company that is a pain in the butt. Not worth the money you pay to move. read more

This move, with this service, was very stressful. I specifically wanted my furniture wrapped. So it doesn't get damaged or dirty in moving. We also have a baby, and realize he puts his mouth on everything. So we want our furniture kept clean and undamaged. We called and asked if that's what they do. Hiring another company that does the job right, is no problem. They said it would be wrapped. It was not. Now the guys working, they did great, I appreciate them. But I wanted it wrapped so their head sweat didn't get wiped on upholstery. Not dragged on the ground, or scraped against pavement, or made dirtier against the ground and walls in the moving truck. I can glaze over the fact that we were quoted a grand and the final cost came out near to two grand (although I did tip). It's by the hour and I knew it was going to take a longer time than they estimated. I don't mind paying more to protect the furniture and other assets I've acquired over time. So many things got damaged, dirtier, and they would wipe their heads and face across my upholstery on my furniture or chairs. So much sweat. I just wanted it wrapped. That would've changed everything. I wanted it wrapped. Broken drywall in the new house too. Guys were nice. Hard workers. It was a hot summer day. I really appreciate their help. But I have dirt and sweat all over my stuff. And now have a ton of work to do to fix everything back up and deep clean. I don't mind paying for the value I'm getting. But I don't think any consumer like regretting tipping. read more

This is the last thing that my husband gave Me before he passed a year ago which is why I was moving. I will never get that sentimental peace back.The company seems like they don't even care stating.It's kind of he said she said, I already filed a police report please If you have anything valuable that you are trying to move do not use these untrusting Movers. They get to move on and I on the other hand We'll never get it back and I had. Pre tip them And would have given great reviews.Had they not went through my Stuff and stolen what's not theirs. I'm so hurt and pissed he said she said why would I go through all this if I was lying ..
