They are the best! The movers are very professional and careful with the furnitures. I hired them twice for my move. Great experience! Would definitely recommend them to my friends. -Wei read more

Where do I start. The movers got there and started the leader Alex was informed of the items to be moved and they slowly began working. There was a 3 hour minimum and the last hour they literally moved 4 things. Why waste someone's time if you're getting paid anyway? They were some of the laziest workers I've ever dealt with. read more

Scammed! Damage not addressed! Have no other recourse but to write on Yelp Tricked us into a SHORT truck. Not responding to damage to my new home. From the start, Movaholics talked us into accepting a smaller moving truck than we said we wanted. They assured us that they were professionals and that they would able to move the amount of boxes and furniture we listed. Because of the many good reviews on line, and because we had had a bad experience with another national moving company, we decided to trust in their experience. The truck they arrived with was very short. The movers had to make two trips, and we had to fill our 3 cars, in order to get almost everything moved. There were 3 carloads left for another day. As wee were being charged by time, it added to the cost of our move. It was not what had been promised. After the movers had gone, we discovered that damage to wall and baseboard had occurred and been covered up by moving the bed off center to hide the damage. It felt very sneaky and unprofessional after we had fed the movers and had exchanged kind words at the end of the long day. Photos of the damage and a letter were sent to Movaholics on Oct 11, 2018. We received a response right away, with an apology and offer to send a repairman or cash settlement of $75. Due to the extent of the damage , I asked for the repairman. I have sent 3 letters (with additional photos) between Oct 13 to Oct 21 asking for/accepting the choice of the repairman and have received NO RESPONSE. It has been 10 days since my last email asking to schedule the repairman. I feel I have no recourse but to post my experience here. I would like to post photos of the damage to my bedroom wall and baseboard on Yelp but see no photo option. Furthermore, before I found the hidden damage, I recommended this mover to friends. They also asked for a truck large enough to move a large household and they also got a very short truck. Their move went on til past 3:00am in the morning because they did not send enough movers and had only the one short truck...more than 14 hours of moving! It pains me to have recommended Movaholics to friends. I would not have done so if I had not been misled about their fleet of trucks. It appears this company does not operate full-sized moving trucks. They were not up front about this to us or to our friends. Be WARNED. This company cost us more than United would have charged us due to the time they spent driving back and forth loading their short truck. In addition, they damaged my home and appear to be ignoring my requests for reparation. read more

We moved this past weekend in 100+ degree humidity and without Moveaholics, I am not sure we would have survived! I am definitely going to mess up the spelling of their names, but we had Javo and Yuldash helping us out and they were quick, and very careful. They moved our entire 1050 sq foot condo into a 1200 sq foot, 2 story home in 3 hours! They had to wrestle our mattress a bit to get it up the narrow, steep stairs, but that was probably the worst thing all day. The company was very professional and confirmed the appointment a couple of days ahead of time which was very much appreciated. I would recommend this company 10x over if I could - they are worth every penny! read more

Excellent move guys were Friendly and quick. Only moved two bedrooms, but they did it clean. I would use them again. read more

Used movaholics again and was even happier--we stayed in that apartment 5 years and accumulated way more stuff. Jay and his team went above and beyond to get us out of our 3rd floor apartment and into our new house!! Excellent service and communication, the team really listened to what we wanted and made sure to check in frequently as time went on. I felt very safe COVID wise and couldn't be happier! read more

We used Movaholics back in September to do our move from a 2nd floor apartment to a ground floor apartment a few blocks away. They were on time and very professional. We got everything moved in the time we allotted, and they made a noticeable effort as it started to rain so that our stuff wouldn't get wet. They had everything we needed to move the bigger furniture like the sofa and mattress which was my biggest concern. We'll absolutely be using them again if we move. read more

Well, looks like another 5 Star rating for Movaholics! Mike and his crew provided top-notch service for our move. From the moment they arrived they worked full-force, all day....And, it was a day where temperatures touched 100 degrees. The guys were so polite and so respectful of our belongings. Our advice to you as a potential customer is to look no further. These are the guys you want to trust with your move. Shout out to Rita who handles all the phone calls and scheduling! read more

These guys are superheroes - simply put. I am still in awe - they worked about 14 hours straight through numerous obstacles to make TWO full trips from our move from West Windsor to Princeton two days ago. To provide more color on what they were up against, while still remaining professional and laser-focused after 14 hours: torrential downpours all day, road closures and construction in front of both houses, a very steep incline on the driveway at the new house, a choppy spiral staircase broken up to SIXTEEN mini landings from entrance to attic, with at least half of the boxes going up there, unique and tight spaces to fit things like a refrigerator and an elliptical through, and a massive bookcase (they didn't need to break it down somehow). They also helped to pack any remaining items with us and provide guidance to keep things moving. My husband and I remarked all day "We are so glad we hired THIS team." I honestly can't imagine anyone else accomplishing this particular move with this much stamina, professionalism, organization, maturity and speed. Hats off to Mike, Blake, Sal, Frank, Mike, and Phil!! You are crazy not to hire these guys :) read more

Alex and Joey were outstanding! They got the job done today in record time, despite facing many obstacles with a rather messy move. I had been nervous about it because it wasn't possible to organize the move very well in advance. But nothing defeated them, they handled everything professionally and quickly, and were very kind and understanding of the difficult circumstances. Everything got where it needed to go, with no damage, even though it had not been possible to pack it very well before they arrived. I have hired movers before but these guys were the best ever! I am so glad I chose them. I highly recommend them! read more

Worst moving company ever. Do not use. I paid for the move in October with a credit card. Well, just a couple days ago, they charged the card again for thousands of dollars. Now I have to dispute the charges. Run away from this company and don't use. Terrible terrible decision by me to use them. read more

Alex, Max and Joel took our two bedroom out of a 3 story building and into a two story house in less than three hours! Nothing broken, no hidden fees, no issues at all. They took furniture apart and put it back together, all within those 3 hours! We were so happy with our decision. We looked at some cheaper options, but had a friend who'd used their service and thought they were fantastic. When it comes to moving, the last thing you want is negative surprises. Best case scenario is everything goes well. Movaholics is definitely a best case scenario kind of moving company. read more

I have been trying to contact this company for a week now. I cancelled my scheduled move for there was no response to my calls or my email that I sent with an itemized list. It is frustration when you do not get a response from a company that you are trying to work with. How can you trust them to show up on the day of the move? read more

I needed to move a LARGE number of boxes of books as well as boxes containing more fragile things from our previous home. The two young men who came from Movaholics were friendly, exactly on time, efficient, and strong. They listened and really treated my things with care. They were easy to work with and did the job very, very well. I couldn't have asked for better help. I would call this company again in a heartbeat, as well as recommend it to others. Thank you for this opportunity to give Alex and his co-worker BIG thank you! read more

If I could give 10 stars I would! Michael and his large crew of guys were wonderful from start to finish (and then some!) we have done more than 10 cross country and local moves over the last 15 years and I would hire Michael for every move we ever do in the future if I could! They were so conscientious. They were super careful with everything. They were efficient. They were incredibly friendly and nice to work with, to a person! They were on time, worked quickly, and were amazingly affordable! The biggest indication of their incredible thoroughness I can give is what happened the day after our move. My husband had packed a small duffle with his last minute stuff (which he should have just put in the car, but he didn't!) One of the movers put it inside a half packed storage bin that was next to it in the bedroom. We went crazy trying to find the bag the night of the move and the next morning. I frantically texted Michael to see if it was left on the truck, etc. He came by the next day before his next job to look around for it, and then brought his entire crew back later that day to help me pull the house apart looking for it. They finally found it in the bin, and while they apologized profusely for sticking it in there to begin with, the fact that they cared enough to spend that much time helping me look for it was really notable in my book. read more

My goal was for quick move of our large items to my new house within the 3 hour mandatory payment timeline (seems like most companies have a mandatory 4 hour payment). They knocked it out in under 2 hours. Everything handled carefully, no damage to the items moved. Staff was very friendly and there were no secret add-on charges at the end. read more

I hired them to move me from Lawrence, NJ to South Plainfield, NJ. Mike (owner) and Blake arrived at agreed time, loaded my stuff carefully and arrived at my destination and unloaded carefully. They were very meticulous in handling my stuff and did an excellent job. It was a very pleasant experience working with these guys. I would definitely recommend them. read more

In July 2018, wrapped up a great move with Alex to NYC. Fast forward to January 2020, hired Movaholics for another move for my mother to Rockland County. Alex and Meir were both fantastic -- nice, communicative and helpful. Hopefully, there won't be any moves in the near future but would definitely hire again. read more

Can't even get through for information. When you call, you get a recorded message to leave your number but the mailbox is full! Guess I'll take my business elsewhere. read more

Alex and Max moved all our (two people's) stuff within about 4 hours. That was quite fast, considering that it was on the 3rd floor with only narrow stairs. They also handed all the items very professionally, keeping them intact. I really appreciate the effort from these two nice guys. read more

WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Do yourself a favor and please look for another moving company. They charged me $100 in advance and never showed up. They never picked up my call after and now I'm gonna have to look for another moving company. read more

We hired Movaholics for a local move a month ago. At first I was a bit skeptical given there is not much online presence of this company except for on Yelp. However they seemed legit on contacting them and speaking with them on phone. I also contacted another fellow Yelper who had given them a 5 star rating to know about their experience. They assured me that they had a good experience with Movaholics. Also based on some of the reviews I was worried that they would bring a short truck and we would have to make multiple trips since we were just moving a 1 bedroom apartment. But I was wrong and they brought a big enough truck to accommodate all of our stuff. On the move day, Alex and Joey helped us move our stuff from a third floor apartment with stairs to a ground floor apartment about 4 miles away. They were careful with our stuff and handled everything professionally. They were quite fast and our entire move was completed within 4 hours. We had a lot of stuff but they arranged everything well in the truck and also provided us with wardrobe boxes to carry out clothes. Based on our experience we would recommend this moving company and would rehire them in future! read more

Alex, Max, and Kozim were an all-star team today! These guys worked their butts off, while remaining very polite and professional the whole time. For over 7 hours there was absolutely no slacking and no breaks. They took apart furniture at my old house and reassembled it at my new house. It was amazing watching the Tetris-like way they fit everything - safely - into their truck. They even were able to manhandle my 200+ pound elliptical, moving it from a 2nd floor to a basement! They worked at a very fast pace but were also very careful, and there was no damage done to anything. Extremely reasonable rate and an overall excellent value. Movaholics came highly recommended to me, and in turn I highly recommend them to whoever reads this. Thank you guys - you're the perfect representation of good hard work! read more

On a really hot day, Alex, Max, and Bill arrived on time and moved our whole apartment down 3 flights, across the complex, and back up 3 flights to our new place...all in under 5 hours. They didn't damage anything and were courteous and professional. We found them on Yelp and are passing on the 5-Star review for their wonderful service. The pricing is competitive and doesn't have any hidden fees or funny business. Thank you, Yelpers for the referral. And, thank you Movaholics! read more

A local 1 BR apartment move was handled efficiently by Jay and Ramon accompanied by their truck. The whole move took around 4 hours and the guys showed great attitude and skill, as there was a heavy sofa bed that had to be brought down a flight of stairs. Overall great job and would definitely recommend and hire again. read more

Rarely do I put in reviews, but we had such an excellent experience with the Movaholics team I have to add to their positive reviews. We needed an upright piano moved immediately as my daughter was starting lessons. I jmessaged them on Yelp and received a very professional response right away. Even if they were booked for the month, they accommodated us on a weeknight within 3 days of my initial inquiry. They arrived promptly, wrapped up the piano at the seller's house, then transported it to our house 20 mins away. They made sure the piano was exactly where I wanted it, cleaned up then were on their way. Michael and his companion were very quick and efficient. Thank you! read more

Moving can be so stressful but Movaholics definitely helped ease the process along. They were very communicative from the start and went over all the details of the move with us making us feel comfortable. Alex, Max, and Joe did the heavy lifting this past Saturday and they were fast and efficient! Thanks guys!! read more

I would definitely recommend using Movaholics for your move. Michael gave me a completely reasonable quote to move my one bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, due to a few issues, I had to keep moving the date and location. Michael was patient and kind through the whole process and I know I must have driven him crazy. When moving day arrived, it wasn't easy as I had to add in an extra stop. Michael and Blake were really great and helped me out of a jam. About 3 weeks later, they moved me out of storage and into my new apartment. Both of my moves went very smoothly and they were really careful with all of my belongings. Although I hope I don't have to move again for awhile, Michael would definitely get my business again. He and Blake were really terrific. Don't call anyone else, just hire them! read more

Let me save you time by stating up front: hire Michael & Mov-aholics. Just do it. If you're still reading, here are the details about our excellent moving experience with Movaholics in November 2016. Specs: from 3-story, 3+ bedroom plus garage and basement to a 3-story, 4 bedroom, garage, basement etc. 10 minutes down the road. All the standard items (beds, couches, drawers, office furniture, etc.) plus box-spring, upright piano, treadmill, large BBQ/grill, tanks, nursery gear. Added complication: about half of the furniture in the old house (= partially furnished rental) was not going on the truck, but we had half a house worth of our own furniture stored in the attic that was coming with us in its place. Set-up: Michael replied to my inquiry via yelp within 24 hrs with his team's availability and quote, we booked and stayed in continued easy contact by email and text through move day. His recommendations for the number of movers and truck capacities for our stuff were exactly on point. Move: Michael and his team arrived on time (I'm German, so that means 5 min early), were courteous, professional, patient, quick and cheerful despite numerous obstacles we threw at them, including but not limited to: my toddler vomiting all over the stairs as they walked in, our bouncy 40 lb dog, multiple pick-up sites (both our house and neighbor's for piano), directions for what furniture stayed and went (see Specs above), narrow attic stairways and doorways, hoisting the box-spring over a second-floor balcony (small, Victorian-era stairwells were a no-go), and much more. All the furniture and boxes wound up in the correct rooms at the new house and there was no damage to any of our stuff. Time: With a 1-hr break for lunch, our move took about as long as predicted (5 hrs), certainly could not imagine a speedier move for everything involved. In sum, we could not be happier with the service from Movaholics and could not have done it without them. While I hope not to move again for a long time, we would recommend Michael and team to anyone in the area who is moving! Thanks a million -- Hannah & Brad read more

Great experience. Alex is very nice guy and helpful. He gave me a call well in advance about their arrival and they are right on time as scheduled. It was quick contract sign and they started the work. Alex got two more guys and all three could load, travel and unload my stuff in 2hr 15mins which is great. I paid Alex in cash and that's it. Good luck with your move. read more

These guys are excellent. Michael, Blake and Sal completed my move on Friday, January 27, 2017. At first, I was a bit skeptical because the owner communicated through text due to a hearing impairment but I was pleasantly surprised on moving day. They were timely and extremely professional. They even helped me unload my own personal truck. They wrapped and moved everything with care. When my furniture didn't fit properly, they even suggested an alternate arrangement that worked out well. I will definitely use them in the future and recommend them to everyone that will listen. Local, professional, and affordable, you cannot go wrong with these guys. read more

They can be booked through MoveHelpers.com but also work independently. read more

Fantastic movers. I highly recommend them for their work ethic, care, and professionalism. Michael and Blake helped me unload my sixteen foot container after the last major snow storm in the Princeton area. It was cold and there was snow/ice from the container to my second floor apartment--but those difficult conditions did not affect the move. I put down boxes on the snow/ice to form a path. They took about 2.5 hours to unload everything. Both men work extremely hard. They listened carefully to my instructions and treated my stuff with care. They were extremely pleasant to work with. They brought their own dollies. I am a satisfied customer and would definitely use them again. The rate for two men is $90/hr. Payment is made through the movinghelp website. The website sends a confirmation code so payment is released after the work is done. read more

Michael and one of his helpers helped me move from the Princeton area to a walk-up in Astoria and I'd highly recommend his service. They were very responsive with giving me a quote for my move (I paid a flat rate for loading/unloading and the roughly 2 hr drive) and leading up to the actual move. On the day of the move, Michael was incredibly punctual and wasted no time, but still managed to be extremely careful with my things. All my furniture was wrapped in blankets and secured and they also reassembled my furniture in my new apartment. I'm not sure if Michael does moves within NY, but if he does I would use his service again in a heartbeat. read more

Michael and his team were incredible! They arrived on time, were extremely professional and efficient. I've moved 17 (!) times in my adult life, many of those times around NYC with shady and dishonest movers. There was none of that to worry about with Movaholics. This was by far the easiest and best move of them all! Do not hesitate to hire Michael and his team. You will be doing yourself a favor when you are stress free and happy with your moving day. Great job, guys (Alex and Uldash) for your endurance and perseverance throughout the move! It was 5 hours of back-breaking work! Uldash was super strong and organized, and Alex strategized well.
