They were also very understaffed, and took a long time to get our meals, which came out in segments over a period of 20 minutes. I understand it's more of a bar than a restaurant, and I will say the lady server did an incredible job and took great care of us. It was just disappointing that they were out of so many things such as chicken, shrimp, and other things that are mainstays of a dinner. The food tasted OK, nothing to really complain about, but nothing special either.

Since starting the Washington County Ice Cream Trail, we have come to Buddy Lou's once a year, 3…read moreyears in a row. Each year we stop for dinner and Ice Cream. I'll start by saying I do like the unique style of this restaurant. Design wise. They use to have a "booth" that was basically a literal couch. It was sooo comfy and I loved it. Unfortunately they did get rid of it about 2 years ago or so. :( They are extremely dog friendly and have an additional restaurant downstairs "Dog-on-dining" (haven't tried that out). Which personally, I also love. Year 1: Good, friendly, fairly fast service. Good menu variety. And the food tasted good as well! Really no complaints! Year 2: We sat at a table right by the bar. The bartender was our waitress. (Important note because we could see her basically the whole time and what see was doing) and respectfully she wasn't that busy. But it took almost 20 to 30 minutes for her to even come to the table and get our drink order. So we ordered our drinks in food at the same time. Food came out. It was okay, something's tasted better than other things. But for the price and how long it took, I don't think it was really worth it. While eating, I needed a drink refill, again I can see our waitress behind the bar. Not doing nothing but from the time our food was dropped off to the time we finished eating, she didn't come over to check on us. Which was annoying. When she did come over she was nice and friendly, but not really apologetic because I don't think she knows how slow her service is. Year 3: okay 1 good trip - 1 bad trip, so we needed a tie breaker. Again sat at a table near the bar. They had 2 host, and 3 waiters working and probably 7 to 8 tables??? Spilt between the 3 of them. So not very busy. Fortunately, this time the host got us our first round drinks (soda). About time our waitress came over, id say we were there for about 10 to 15mins. We ordered wings as an appetizer and our meals at the same time. Again I think it took 20 to 30 minutes for the wings to come out. In that time, our waitress did not check on us. Didn't say "sorry about the wait" "wings should be up shortly", nothing. And yet again i can see our waitress and other staff standing behind the bar. Which okay whatever but check on your table before having a chatting session? Food came out, shortly after that. I got a chicken sandwich that was a little extra crispy lol and my boyfriend got fried catfish? I believe? I will give credit, the wings were good and had a nice crispy skin. The main meals were both just alright. But again for the wait and the cost ($70) it's just not really worth it. After finishing the meal, we waited 10 minutes and then had to go find someone else to bring us our check. I wasn't trying to be there all night... FINALLY! We get to go downstairs to the Ice Cream Shop (which is why we came in the first place) at 8:05 and they were "technically closed" - pretty sure the restaurant closes at 8:30 but okay whatever. The girl kind of offered to still scoop us some Ice Cream but at that point I'm over it. So we got our Ice Cream Stamp at left. Already decided next year will be a strictly Ice Cream Only trip. Such a shame because it really is a cute place. But I don't like paying $70-$80 to basically be ignored for a hour and a half.

I ordered their prime rib dinner...a friday/Saturday special. OMG...THE worst I've ever eaten. I never knew medium rare prime rib could be tougher than chuck steak. This one was. Plain aweful.and the sautéed mushrooms compounded it. Sautéed with thyme...well a pinch is ok, but it seemed like the cooked spilled the box. Could hardly taste anything else. I will say that the server was wonderful. She offered to exchange it for something else but I really wasn't in the mood to wait. She did offer a free dessert and did reduce my final bill. I gave her a full tip. She was wonderful. The fried cheesecake was a cheesecake filling inside a tortilla type wrap, crispy outside topped with some caramelly sauce and whipped cream. It was ok. Interior is a very dated 1970's decor. So bottom line... Probably stick to the burgers if you don't want to drive after settling in at the hotel. I hear those are pretty good.

I think the cats outside enjoyed the place more than anyone with all the shrimp treats brought out by customers.

I was impressed with the variety of sauces and dry rubs. We got the 24 traditional, which allows you up to three sauces. We had to try the traditional buffalo, which was excellent-buttery, spicy, and luscious! I've eaten a LOT of Buffalo wings in my time and these might be the best! We also loved the garlic Parmesan. I didn't taste much garlic but there was plenty of Parmesan on the perfectly-cooked wings. My husband's favorite of the three was the Sweet Thai chili wings. I loved them, too! We also ordered a regular size of their potato wedges, which was perfect for the two of us. We really liked the seasoning and my husband called them "outstanding," which is very high praise for him! The delivery experience was good, with updates being texted to my phone. I think they use DoorDash - kudos to the driver who found my building without any problems. Note: the food was hot and perfect when it arrived. It truly was a wonderful meal and I wish we had found SS Wings sooner! It will now be our go-to wing place!

We used the online app, which was user friendly. The order confirmation said our order would be ready in 16-20 minutes. Approximately 15 minutes later I walked in and they were packaging up our order. They almost forgot to place one of our items in the bag, but they stopped me before I walked out. We're frequent BWW goers and I will say that these boneless wings were probably better! The breading wasn't thick and the chicken was meaty, juicy white meat. I was surprised at the limited sauce flavors - approximately a dozen options. For this place to specialize in wings I would have expected a LARGE selection of sauce flavors. We tried 3 different flavors: hot, Cajun, and the hickory smoked BBQ. The sauces were good but there wasn't a huge difference between the flavor of the Hot and the Cajun, which was a bit disappointing. After dinner we both commented on how thirsty we were and how salty the sauces seemed to be. However, they were pretty good and I liked the fact that the breading wasn't thick. I've read other reviews about the poor attitudes and disinterest of the staff. While I didn't necessarily experience that (since I ordered and paid online) I will say that everyone behind the counter/in the kitchen seemed VERY young (high school age). No one was rude but it was VERY obvious that this was just a job to earn spending money. Overall, we were very satisfied with our food. I would order here again for a carry out order but I would still choose BWW for dine in because of the sports atmosphere and full bar
