Samuel was out of town the day I went down to test drive the truck. His manager was there and again was very kind and not pushy. After the test drive we negotiated a price and wrote up the paperwork. Upon arrival I met with a sales person Michael. Michael showed me the vehicle and advised me that they just got this vehicle in from an elderly couple so its well taken care of. Michael advised me that the only thing wrong with the vehicle was the A/C needed to be fixed but it was nothing major and that's the only thing wrong with the vehicle. I test drove the vehicle and liked it and Michael and I went inside to talk about me purchasing it. While inside Michael told me that the A/C would be fixed ASAP and I then asked Michael if this problem with the A/C is an ongoing issue that they have had with this vehicle and Michael advised me no that it just went out and that's the only thing wrong with the vehicle. Michael advised me to bring the vehicle back on Monday and they would fix the A/C and provide me with a loaner vehicle in the meantime. Onnce at home I found that there was quite a few issues with the vehicle that I was not made aware of by Michael. I then texted Michael and told him about all the other problems with the vehicle: 4x4 selection modes, T/C 2, brights on headlights, fog lights, passenger door interior light, sprayer for windshield wiper fluid, rear electric locks all did not work. Michael was also informed that the screws for the plastic trim around the radio were stripped out and would not be able to change out the radio, and that the sunroof does not work and that it appears someone caulked around the edge of the sunroof on top and that the trailer brake controller was not even wired to anything. Michael texted me back and stated sorry about that and he would have someone take a look at all of this when I brought it in to have the A/C fixed. On 09/06/24 I was informed by Michael that my vehicle was fixed and ready to be picked up. I asked Michael what all work was done to it and I was informed he did not know that he just seen it back at the lot. I advised Michael that I would come Monday after he speaks to his boss so if anything else needed to be fixed I wasn't making more trips back and forth. Michael advised me that THAT'S NOT HOW THIS IS GOING TO WORK that he wanted his truck back today a Sunday!! Michael then advised me that he spoke to his boss and that I was to bring the loaner vehicle back by tomorrow afternoon, and that all they are obligated to fix on my vehicle was the A/C and that they did me A HUGE FAVOR by giving me a loaner to drive and that I am keeping their truck without permission. I was later contacted via phone by the GENRAL MANAGER GREG who called and stated that he understands we have an issue. Greg immediately began to cuss at me using the F word numerous times. Greg also advised me that I ruined his F****** Sunday of watching football with all of this and that they are tired of dumping money into this vehicle to fix it. I later began to look into the vehicles history and paid $45 for a Carfax report. I then discovered that the vehicle had 27 service history reports. It appears from the Carfax the vehicle started having electrical problems starting in 2010. I discovered the other problems that the milage on the vehicle was around 133,000 but only around 86 engine hours which did not add up. Based on the Carfax it appears RUBY MOUNTAIN MOTORS purchased this vehicle sometime around 05/30/24. Ruby Mountain Motors then brought the car to The Car Store in Twin Falls for problems with the engine/ powertrain computer module, and the A/C system. The vehicle was brought in again to the same store AGAIN for the A/C system not working again, and was brought in THIRD time for the same reason. All to which RUBY MOUNTAIN MOTORS never advised me of before purchase and was blatantly untruthful when I asked about the A/C or other problems the vehicle ever had previously. Since my purchase of the vehicle I have had electrical problems (heated seats don't work, A/C display doesn't work, the rear driver side window will not roll up or down and stays down, radio does not work) I have spent money trying to fix the problems.

Ten hours later, I arrived at the dealership, only to find the vehicle in much rougher shape than I had expected. It turns out all the photos on the dealer's website were taken from angles very careful to avoid showing the scratched and damaged areas on the vehicle. Further, I found the same vehicle had been purchased on an auto auction site a year previous that DID show the damage to the vehicle, meaning the dealership made a conscious effort to play down the damage on its website. Worse, it's also clear that some of the damage was worked on to try to conceal it, which only made it MORE visible, though I cannot definitively say that work was done BY the dealership. Most frustratingly, the dealership was not willing to budge on pricing when shown all the defects of the vehicle in question, even though they were asking almost $7000 more than was paid at auction and no work had been done to the car since. In fact, the car had been sitting for sale on the dealer's lot for over a year, ever since it was collected from the seller following the auction. I have zero issues with the sales staff at Middlekauff, they were very straightforward and never tried to "get away" with anything. Further, I had to have their service department address an issue with the car, which they did immediately and cheerfully. But bottom line, had they been more straightforward about the exterior condition of the vehicle and had they been willing to negotiate on pricing, I would be driving it today; instead I drove back home in the vehicle I was going to trade for it. It was certainly an enjoyable drive there and back, and a pleasure to deal with both the sales and service staff, it's only the management I have an issue with. They didn't even TRY to contact me later to win over my business or come "running after me" as I prepared to leave; a salesperson mentioned the owner buys and sells cars at auctions for fun and doesn't care how long they take to sell... and it shows. Is that a reason to avoid them? Not at all, but it's also not a reason to recommend them. They know what they want to sell the vehicle for no matter how far outside market pricing it may be, so don't go expecting to strike a "fair deal" - it's pretty much a take it or leave it proposition at Middlekauff.

I'm not just another guy complaining about how I didn't pay my loan and they took my car, although I've read some of these other reviews and it seems they'll weasel you the same whether you have a title loan or buy a used car in cash. 2 hours after I bought a car from Progressive it broke down on the freeway from an overheated transmission. They offered to fix it for me since it broke down the same day, and as they argue that is more than they were "legally obligated" to do but it's no more than they were morally obligated to do. 2 weeks later they tell me it's fixed, and give no info on where it was taken, who had it, what was done, nothing. Just "it's fixed". So I drive the 3 hours back up to Idaho, and only make it 8 miles further down the road before I overheat once more. Again they take it back, 2 weeks more go by and they tell me it's fixed, and that this time they're going to bring it to me. Now I never actually saw them drive it, for all I know they had it towed down here to a hub and drove it five minutes the rest of the way to me; I honestly don't know how they got it down here - but what I do know is that now the engine sputters and shudders just at idle like it's going to die any second, it can't change gears at all and revs at 3500-4000 rpm's, it won't even go in reverse, and it overheats after driving for only ten minutes. A month after I buy a car and I can't even drive it, it's just an expensive piece of scrap metal sitting in a parking lot. So I ask to talk to the mechanic that worked on it, see what was done and if a warranty would be provided. The answer to that? A flat no. After a month of assumed "fixes" by Progressive, I now have a car that is worse then the first day I bought it. So yeah, I think that's pretty suspicious, don't you? Seems like sawdust in the gas tank type of salesmanship to me, a car that test drives fine but breaks down 30 miles down the road once everything's signed and done. They may reply here to this review about "as is" and "sorry to have done business with you" but as the person reading this review I want you to think about what kind of car buying experience you want to have.

Special thanks to Lizet, Brandon, JT, and Jaydon We found our dream vehicle, got approved, built a full deal with our trade-in, and showed up to sign -- only to find out it had already sold the DAY BEFORE we ever expressed interest in it. The GM apologized and we genuinely appreciate that -- but we have still not received a resolution. My advice to anyone shopping here: make sure the vehicle is actually sitting on that lot BEFORE they run your credit. I hope to update this review with a resolution soon.

I called about 7 shops in the Twin Falls area, and no one was able to get me in, but 2 places (including the VW dealership) recommended Limited Auto Group because one of the techs (Gary) is a Volkswagen specialist. I called Lmited Auto Group and spoke with Brittany, she was absolutely amazing with her knowledge, patience, and kindness as I explained my story. She told me to just take my time in driving from Wells to Twin Falls, and they would see me when I got there. Sure enough, I pulled in and immediately Gary met me at my car and listened to what I had experienced with my car in the last 24 hours. Gary diagnosed the issue within 15 minutes. However, it was a Friday afternoon and he didn't have the parts to fix it at that time. My car still drove and was safe to continue to my destination. The parts were ordered so I could stop back the following week on my return home. We ran into some delivery issues on the parts so the repair was delayed. Brittany was more than accommodating and offered a couple of options on how to proceed. LAG was very generous regarding the delay. I was also offereded the use of a vehicle (another VW) to go explore areas in Twin Falls or, as I did, go to Twin Beans in downtown Twin Falls and enjoy tea while my car received exceptional service. In a time where good customer service seems to not exist anymore, LAG has restored my faith and are truly the epitome of great customer service. LAG is the most professional and kindest company I've probably ever encountered. I highly recommend them to anyone in the Twin Falls area, whether you live there or happen to be passing through with an issue. Unfortunately, I live 7 hours away, but if I did live in Twin Falls Limited Auto Group and Gary would be my VW's exclusive shop! In addition, my car's front end was annihilated with bugs from MT and ID evening driving. When my car was ready for pickup, the exterior was absolutely beautiful with not one bit of bug evidence.
