These guys were fantastic. They were very professional in their communication and showed up exactly on time. I was referred to Sean after the generic windshield repair company, that my insurance company suggested, did not think they should replace my cracked windshield due to rust. If the rust left holes after they took the windshield out, they are legally not allowed to put a new windshield in. My car's an upstate NY car. It's rusty. Every single mechanic I've ever taken the car to in CO has been unnerved by the rust. Sean seemed confident over the phone that he could replace the windshield with a little work, but had me send pictures of the rust to him first. What a novel idea - instead of wasting anybody's time, he wanted to get an idea of how bad the rust was. Well, based on the pictures I sent to his phone he determined that he could work with it. No joke, within like 30 minutes he'd ordered the windshield and was at my door. Sean worked for a long time on the windshield, sanding down rust, filling in holes, making sure the replacement was done correctly. I can bet that if I had gone ahead and told the generic windshield replacement guy to replace it I would have been stuck with a windshield-less car in front of my house and I probably would have had to tow it to a body shop to have them work on the holes the rust created. He was very flexible with my work schedule and was able to get my new windshield installed within a day! Apparently there are several windshields for my vehicle. My husband Mr. Anderson chose Mountain Vista to repair our cracked windshield on our Honda Element in December 2015. Scheduling and obtaining the quotes was no problem at all. On the day of the install, the crew arrived about 20 minutes late and were polite about it. After the job was finished, they told us we could drive off in a couple of hours so we waited for the allocated time before driving off. When on the highway, something flew off the front of our car! We were shocked and pulled over when we could to inspect the damage. A piece of plastic trim molding on one side of our windshield had flown off and it was sticky to touch, revealing that their crew had glued it back on installing of clipping it on. We were surprised to see this, as no one had mentioned to us that they had to glue on anything! We pulled into an auto-shop that night and had someone make sure that this was an aesthetic issue and that we were road legal. We also took pictures of the car. My husband got in touch with them the next day to let them know what happened. From what I understood, the previous windshield install left the trim in a state that they could not clip it in, so they had to break it off and glue it back on. There were a few back and forth phone calls, and they offered to order and replace the part if we paid for the clips (which was about $5-10). While it was strange that they wouldn't offer to cover the cost of those clips, since they never mentioned to us about having to glue on the trim, we didn't mind paying that cost to a small business and agreed to that. We waited for them to get back in touch with us. We got a phone call back the following week- they were letting us know that they were still trying to source the part. My husband followed up a couple of times after, to no avail. It is now the middle of March and we've left them a few voicemails and have not heard back from them since January. The other piece of trim also flew off last month! We debated whether to leave a review or not, and since they were not answering our calls nor responding to our voicemail over the last couple of months, we reluctantly decided to leave this review. In conclusion, our windshield did get replaced and it is looking fine. The price was also a good deal. However, in the process of that, we lost the trims to the side of the car and it does not look pretty at all! The fact that they did not let us know about having to glue back the trim made me believe that the job could have been rushed. The service that we received afterwards was disappointing. As a supporter of small businesses, we were let down by their inability to fix the issue they created. We will now have to order and replace the trim that was broken as a direct result of Mountain Vista replacing our windshield. While the total cost of those parts is minor, it was the lack of determination to fix a mistake they made that left a sour taste in our mouths. This is really unfortunate, and I hope that they will be able to take our feedback graciously. read more

DO NOT USE THIS GUY! I am not a complainer so please know this is an honest experience. We had a bit of time crunch and he was the only one to call me back immediately. We live no where near the city so we drove 2 1/2 hours to have the windshield replaced. They started to install the windshield in the RAIN (which it had been overcast on and off rain all day)...which obviously did not work because the molding kept coming off. He then removes it and tries for the 2nd time, but it was still raining! I had water all over my dashboard. We offered to help by suggesting we could hold a tarp up and he informed us that he didn't have one. So he installs these for a living and doesn't have anything on hand for if it rains??He also mentioned " oh I didn't know it was going to rain." And of course once they installed it, the molding was still not sticking. Meanwhile a full pop gets spilt on my shifter everywhere because he had smashed my cup when he got in the car. Two hours later they said it would be fine and that they were done. Earlier in the week we discussed pricing through text message and he agreed to go down about $25 since I had to drive so far. He writes up the invoice and he wanted full price. I literally had to show him the text conversation for a lower price. He did not look happy that I remembered. In my mind he should have charged me less! For how unprepared he was and how the windshield looked like it was barely hanging on! Last but not least they put my wiper blades on all wrong and then tried to convince me that "they're fine." Mind you, my left wiper blade was literally going off the windshield too far. My rear big glass window on my Toyota Sienna, got hit by a stone and shattered into a spiderweb. It was only held in by the tint, and my gaff tape. I called around and got a quote for $1000 + $200 to install, and another for $875 installed. Then I found Mountain Vista. The guy was super friendly, and professional. Sean was his name. Awesome guy. Then he and his assistant came out on time at noon. In less than an hour the job was done! AND it was $300. Three hundred bucks compared to the $875, and the $1200 . Fantastic Job.!!!! Totally professionally done right in my driveway. Totally satisfied. Sean, the owner of Mountain View Windshields came to my house to replace the cracked windshield on my 2004 Honda CR-V. In less than one hour he had removed the old windshield, gaskets, and adhesive materials. He replaced it with a new OEM windshield which has a lifetime guarantee (of course, not against small stones etc. so prevalent in Colorado.) He was extremely efficient while also explaining every step of the process to me and my grandsons. Sean has been in the windshield repair and replacement business for over 20 years, averaging 6-7 windshield replacements per day. i chose Sean on the basis of the many glowing customer Yelp reviews and other independent reviews that I found on-line. His price of $185 was well below that of many of the highly advertised companies with numerous facilities(whose prices run between $250 and $300+.) My son-in-law told me that he had used one of the more famous companies and that After the installation, his car's windshield had a significant leak. That company redid the installation 2 more times and still it leaked! He took his business elsewhere. Replaced windshield and rear passenger window, Sean did a great job. He called when on the way and was right on time. Safelite had removed my windshield in my 96 infiniti and said it was "too rusty" to replace. It was NOT very rusty. Sean had no problem replacing it and after being left by Safelite and having to drive home with no windshield, Sean's work was a great relief! Would definitely recommend.
