As many say, if there were negative stars, like -5, I'd give that. Plainly said, these guys suck, suck, suck. Why? 1) there's NO help with measuring your screens, just vague, verbal, seat-of-the-pants "guidelines"...no specific or written instructions at all...unless you want to pay the high-high service fee and have them do an on-site. DIY is sketchy at best 2) looong re-screening lead times...and actually, looooong lead times if buying new screens. We did both, it took 5-weeks for a small job. Not a big house we have. 3) They say they'll "contact you" when stuff is ready for pickup...guess what? Never a call...or email...or text. Nada 4) Rudeness. There's just an "attitude" with these people. Unfriendly vibe. So, no, I can't review them low enough. Use them at your own discretion. I bet donuts to dollars you'll come away just like me. read more

We got a BEAUTIFUL new screen door installed by Rob Redderson from Mountain View Window & Door. We ordered it and it was delivered exactly when they said it would be here, Rob arrived when he said he would be here, he installed it, cleaned up the porch so that it looked like nothing had been done, took away the old screen door, and We are thrilled with the new door. The road noise is cut by more than half, and I am looking forward to being able to leave the door open in the summer with the screen open to catch the breeze. My husband and I are so glad that we had Mountain View Window and Door install our 2 big windows - Living Room and Family Room. We ordered them Dec. 30, 2022 and they were installed yesterday February 22, 2023. The crew (and never judge anyone by how they look) were awesome. Joe and Gabino jumped right in and started removing the old windows. They were so pleasant and very neat in their work taking attention of our carpet and flooring. They laid down a blanket and even vacuumed and swept up everything. They were very informative whenever we would ask them any questions and took the time to make sure we understood everything. Joe took great care in thinking of a way to make the finished framing of the window look beautiful. These 2 men are one of the hardest working guys we have ever had working on our home. We opened up our home to them so when they left and I went to use our bathroom, Joe had neatly folded the hand towel that they had been using during the day and laid it on the bathroom counter. I can't say enough great things about this company. They are responsive, prompt, clean, and EXTREMELY professional. We have had them to our home 3 different times to replace old windows that were original to the home. Each time, they visit the house, look at the what needs to be done, and then discuss with me different options plus the pros/cons of each. Once a decision has been made, the order turnaround time is usually faster than they estimate, and they are onsite quickly. For this most recent visit, Ryan Reddderson did the install, and he was awesome. For sure, the glass was better than before, but also the trim and caulking. It looks better than new. Oh and while he was here, he adjusted all of my sticking windows so they now open and close easily. I wouldn't go to any other company. read more

I called this company to get bat-wing doors installed on the closets in two of our bedrooms as well as doors on my office and two solid wood doors on two other bedrooms based on a referral from a friend. The main guy came out, took measurements, and said it couldn't be done. When I asked him some questions he said it was because the company that made the trim kit had gone out of business -- and that it could not be duplicated. A couple of years passed and we hired a great general contractor that we hired to build out our garden room and to change some other things in the house that required duplicating the trim kit. I asked the general contractor how he could do that and that I understood that the company that made it had gone out of business and it couldn't be duplicated. He looked at me in surprise and said, "It's no big deal at all." Then he showed me what was involved. He was right. It was no big deal. How odd. As a board member for the United Methodist Church of Medford, I was tasked with overseeing some upgrades to our 100+ year old building. One of these upgrades was the windows, which were in very poor/failing condition. I contacted numerous contractors to review the project, which includes over 85 windows. We selected Mountain View and couldn't be more glad. Our curb appeal has increased, our rooms are less drafty, and outside sounds are no longer problematic. Most importantly, it felt like Ray and his crew were church family. They understood our needs, they provided us with excellent product, they worked around scheduling limitations with our church's many functions, and their workmen were outstanding. One of the windows was broken at installation, and they were outstanding at letting us know when we could expect the replacement. When our church was vandalized, and a window was broken, they were there immediately, and fixed it for free. They made an enormous project seem easy, and certainly seamless. After the success of our windows, we realized we needed some doors replaced. They helped us determine the right type for current and future needs, and helped us to design a new entrance layout that was easily approved by city planning. In 2016 we purchased a 30 year old home with grid windows in every room. We knew replacing the grid windows for higher grade UV clear windows would be on our remodel list. Fast forward to 2019 and we decided to replace the remaining 8 windows in the front and 1 transom window in the back that our contractor had not replaced in the original remodel. We got multiple bids but found Roy @ Mountain View addressed everything we wanted including color gradients on the transom window in the back, that would not have matched if we installed the same windows in the front. This is why we went with this company, "DETAILS" were addressed...new casings that had to match, exterior painting, suggestions on uniform design.....and their cost was lower than the other bids. Contrary to other reviewers, our 3 man crew was stellar - they arrived on time, installed everything in 1 day, and replaced a transom window which had a factory defect in two weeks. They also left our home as clean as a whistle. Besides modernizing the overall look (no more grids) and is still consistent with the original design, the windows have added VALUE to our home. We are thrilled to look thru clear glass, the new windows protect our furniture from sun damage, and no more condensation on the frames! Mountain View did an outstanding job from start to finish, and when we get ready to replace anything else that constitutes the bones of the house we will use this company...great products, knowledgeable staff, excellent execution, and money well spent. read more

Dealing with Mountain View was A+ from start to finish. We own a 30-plus year old manufactured / double-wide home. It's front door was "Trailer Trash" to the max -- repulsive, plastic, ZERO "R' value and also broken shut. Ha ha. The office staff were terrific, helping me pick out a door and sending me a JPG of it for my approval. Scheduling was professional. (The door is gorgeous, by the way). Dan the estimator took lots of time to "measure twice," and also to understand thoroughly that we wanted to re-use the quite expensive (go figure!) NOT-made-in-China aluminum screen door. That required special measurements and exterior trim work. Ben the installer was on time, courteous, conferred with me well (especially about the weird screen door we wanted to re-install outside "his" new door). His installation was thorough, efficient and looks terrific. He apologized about a TEENY discrepancy in the sight lines between "his" door and our ceiling - slightly out of parallel (I can't see it!), that because of course our house is crooked (it's settled slightly). Today (two days later) we've just gotten the old screen door refurbished, painted and installed back onto the new door frame. Ben couldn't have measured or set us up better. It's wonderful to work with people who totally know what they're doing and are fun to work with too. Bravo! Also a very fair price for complex work (demo'ing all the way to the structure, then fitting the new pre-hung door there). We'll use them again for the back door (also "trailer trash" original door). After my initial review I mailed the invoice for the expense I incurred having my Hunter Douglas blind cut down (over $100). I received an immediate phone call from the owner of the window company upon his receipt of my letter. He was totally on my side and said he'd instructed his installer to make sure that shade fit after the window installation. He not only reimbursed me for the cost to cut down the shade but insisted on adding an almost equal amount to the check he sent me for our trouble. Today I phoned him when I noticed the shade was not level. He was at my house within minutes of the phone call. We diagnosed the problem as unequal tension on the strings inside the shade. I'm having that problem addressed by Hunter Douglas. The personal attention to detail by the owner of the firm makes me extremely happy to make this a five star update. I would not hesitate to use this firm again for any window or door needs I have in the future. read more

I met Ray, the owner, when he came to measure my job....He had some suggestions that I had not thought of and I subsequently went with.....Jesse and James came over with the doors and windows and in two days did an amazing transformation ...they removed siding/ sheet rock and insulation and put everything back together with new materials.. I had no idea how much this idea of mine to have a sliding door installed was so involved but they did it professionally and flawlessly. I love how I now have this great view out to my garden and the transom windows view is of tree tops.....the light streams through the room that was just a small dark unfriendly space... The addition of an all glass kitchen door is amazing too.....I have the kind with the shades inside the glass...its very solid and provides lots of lights and privacy when I need it. The Electricians ( Brendon and Mark) from Patriot Electric did and excellent job of moving wires and install new boxes ,lighting and a fan. Beau arrived later to put the finish on the walls. Initially I was told by the estimator I could have all the work done I wanted, only to be contacted again to be informed that some work would not be done due to their fear of working with aluminum siding. Huh?...this makes no sense. Fortunately I was able to find someone else not so fearful - or lazy to do what I wanted. I did have Mt. View install windows as I wanted to take advantage of the 18 month financing. Installation was OK but the windows were pretty dirty and half the screens weren't installed but just left inside. Made a huge dusty mess replacing a door and just left it. One old screen was not disposed of and left thrown on the ground outside. Overall the windows are OK and look great, time will tell how they hold up. Definitely need some work regarding cleaning up after themselves, and generally more consideration for the homeowner. In the past I have had windows installed in another house and the installer did a beautiful job, including a thorough clean up. Should have used them instead. read more

Mt View did a good job providing my windows when I built my home in 2001, so I went back to them to supply an outbuilding I'm currently building. My order took longer than expected to fulfill, so in return I asked if they would take back a window that I ordered that turned out to be too big for the intended location...something they clearly didn't have to do (the error was mine). They said....yeah, we'll do that. I'd call that putting the customer first. Oh, yeah: the windows are really good quality, too. read more

Took a broken screen from my french door to their location so they could measure and order me a new one. Three + weeks later they called saying it was there. I went down, picked it up hauled it home and had to wait a few more weeks for my contractor to install it. Turns out, they gave me the wrong door. I hauled it down there again and they gave me my door which was still sitting in their back room. (I obviously had someone else's door who was waiting for it!). Hauled the new door home and had to have the contractor out it again - it was eventually installed. Looking over my credit card statements I noticed I was charged twice for the door - over a month a part. I called them and they said I had to bring them my credit card statements so they could look at them. Really??? OK, I printed off my statements, took them down and they said, oh yes, you were charged twice. That was over 5 days ago and I am still waiting for the credit to show up on my card. Had them install new windows and the price was reasonable and the guys that installed my windows did great. They knew what they were doing and was a great team. The only negative was the wait to get the windows delivered and that isn't really their fault. And the windows look great and we can tell the difference, heat wise, from the old ones. read more
