He showed up early (which almost never happens with service people), explained everything clearly, gave us a fair price compared to the others who quoted, and just had this calm, patient vibe that put us at ease. No high-pressure sales stuff and he actually took the time to walk us through what he was seeing and gave us some solid tips on keeping mice out for good. We went ahead and hired him on the spot. He set up traps, sealed entry points, and we cleaned up what was there. Thought we were done... until a few days later when a couple more droppings popped up. Frustrating, but Efren had already told us he stands behind his work with a warranty. Called him, and he was back out super quick with no hassle, no extra charge, just fixed the issue. Honestly, my wife and I feel like we picked the right person for the job. Efren's efficient, trustworthy, and actually cares about getting it right. Called hatch and they took care of trapping and repairing the door as well as filling any other small openings that could let them back in. Such a relief not to hear that scrambling around under there at night! Efforts by Hatch Pest Solutions to exclude mice and chipmunks from my cabin in the woods appear to…read morebe performative at best. After sending me a message on the phone that they found a number of dead mice and dead chipmunks last week, on the third billed visit, with no mention of exclusions, the VP of Operations, Lisa, now claims that they have sealed up the outside of the house. I haven't confirmed this because it takes two hours to drive up there. On the next visit, they plan to sanitize. My husband now tells me that Hatch employees who came out for the estimate said there's a monthly Hatch customer in the forest nearby. They said they sanitize using Pine Sol. They didn't bother to inspect the space underneath the cabin. I've now had the very unpleasant experience of researching what it actually takes to exclude mice and chipmunks from a pier and beam cabin. Rodent borne pathogens require industrial enzymatic neutralizers, not scented household cleaners. The urine of mice and chipmunks can be detected by other mice and chipmunks from hundreds of yards away, acting as a beacon for proven habitats such as my cabin. Chipmunks are great diggers and have to be excluded using industrial grade steel hardware trenched underground. If exclusions were done correctly, I won't be a monthly customer for Hatch, which is probably really their goal.
