Affordable and a convenient place to rest after a long Oregon drive. We paid $49 for a room, this is the cheapest in town... so don't expect anything amazing and flashy.. it's a place to sleep is what it is. Lots of TV channels and free wifi... microwave and fridge... beds aren't bad. Great water pressure in the shower and they have a coffee maker with free coffee in the room. For what you pay you get quite a bit. My only two complaints are that the showers are a little small and the pillows we had were pretty horrible for sleeping on. Highly recommend... Stayed here in a warm, comfortable, and clean room in the winters (December 2016). At lowest prices in towns we were expecting a bare-bones motel, but it also comes with microwave and fridge which was a bonus for our small family. Kids enjoyed the kids' channels on TV. There were other families staying which made us more comfortable. Plenty of parking and reasonably priced snacks/drinks in the main office. The owners/managers are super awesome! read more

It was four of us, and two dogs driving into town. We got in late, sometime after midnight, so needless to say we were exhausted from a long trip. The room was listed for $61/night... I got charged $8/person for two additional people AND $8/dog. Which after 16hrs of driving I thought fine just give me my room key and let us get some sleep. The room was dirty there was trash in the bathroom, the carpet was filthy, and the towels were raggedy. Not worth the $90+ we spent to stay one night in this nasty motel. Bunch of crooks! read more

You got what you paid for. My bed sheet has some yellowish strains. The blanket is quite itchy. However the bed is comfy. ( bring your blanket!) The air conditioning system works too well The Bathroom is cleaned. No tub. Another seperate brushing sink from a bathroom, love it! I love the fridge and microwave. They are working well and so useful for my 11 hour trip to Portland. The staff was very friendly and welcomed even though I arrived at midnight and had to wake her up. FREE WIFI AND Parking. What agreat find! Well usually stay at a place that is almost three times as much as we paid here! Beside the better deal, the only two differences were; 1: No breakfast offered here (however, in room coffee maker, frig, and micro wave as well as being close to lots of good eats) 2: The staff here were so friendly, nice, and helpful. They were so personaly and ready to meet all of our needs. Well have found our new home away from home whenwe come to vist family in Yreka. We were passing through and needed to pull off the freeway and take a driving break for the night. Basically, you get what you pay for. But let's be real-- $45 per night for a clean room and cable is pretty good. It's what you'd expect for a cheap motel. Hard bed, thin sheets, one power outlet, and a TV remote held together with tape. However, the woman who checked us in was very nice, the TV worked, and the bathroom (shower, no tub) and dressing area (little space with a counter and second sink between bed and bathroom) were bigger than expected. It's not the Ritz, but it is as good as one can expect for the price. The decor might be dated and worn a bit, but with one very minor exception, everything was fully functional (including the free WiFi). It was remarkably quiet, and it was nice to have the ice maker nearby. One surprise was the incredible water pressure; it was like a paint stripper, and wow, my road grime was gone in a hurry. I just wish that the bed had been a bit more firm. The proprietor was very friendly despite my very late arrival, and the next morning, he was also a good source for local information. If you want a flat-screen TV and fancy bathroom fixtures, go somewhere else and pay twice as much. On my next time through town, I would return without hesitation. read more

Went to check in Friday 8/24 late night. There were Bed bugs in bed in our room #110 so we were very disturbed and left abruptly. Spoke with manager and he was rude and not willing to refund our charge for the stay which we did not stay at all. Manager actually said he can't help me;"do what you have to do he said". After a long six-hour drive from Tillamook, Oregon, on a Saturday night, we were ready for a comfortable bed, hot shower and some dinner. Search sites indicated the Mountain View Inn would deliver, so we got off I-5 and there it was at the north end of town. Easy to find, which is already a plus in our book. Despite the relatively late hour (nearly 9:00 pm) and intermittent rain, the "Open" and "Vacancy" lights were lit, and we stopped. We were greeted by a very nice lady who checked us in, gave us their lowest rate ($51 including tax), handed us the key to our room and suggested several restaurants that were nearby and still open at that hour. We were grateful. Turns out that the accommodations were exactly what we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the water hot, the room quiet, and there were both a small fridge and microwave in the room. Big time bonus: directly across the street was a Mexican restaurant -- one of the places the desk clerk had mentioned -- that happily made us some fantastic burritos to go. We took our food back to the room, kicked back, turned on the television, and greedily gobbled the burritos while watching a really bad (but fun anyway) movie on TCM. (The movie was "Cash McCall" with James Garner, Natalie Wood, Nina Foch, Dean Jagger and E.G. Marshall among others.) Our only nit to pick is that the room initially smelled of disinfectant, but we left the window and door open for about 15 minutes and the smell disappeared. I would have to say that the Mountain View Inn was an excellent find for two road-weary travelers with yet another day of driving ahead, and I would have no qualms about stopping there again. First of all, LOVE the price. We got a room with two queen size beds non-smoking for only 55.95 plus tax. Simple, clean, nice. Went here by reading the reviews and were very pleased. A sweet Indian woman runs the counter and she is hard to understand at times but is ready and competent to get you anything you need or wish for. The rooms are very cold at first but the heaters are awesome! Just turn it on and in about twenty minutes the room is perfect temperature. Beds are comfortable. TV, WiFi, coffee, microwave, etc. A few really good restaurants nearby as well for an early breakfast or lunch. Whole place is non-smoking and there is an $8 fee for pets. read more

Stayed one night while on a road trip because I got too tired to keep driving and had to pull off the road. They accepted cash which was convenient for me. It was only $50 the night I stayed there! The cable worked, the place was clean, the ac worked, the bed was comfy and there was no weird smell. Staff was friendly and all I had to do for check out was drop my key in the box in the morning. Good, clean, no-frills. Walk-in shower, no tub. Fridge worked well. Tv is old fashioned tube type, not flatscreen. We would happily return here; not sure if we'd do it in the depths of winter, but it was fine for summer. Wifi was good enough to stream Netflix on our iPad. read more

We had a wonderful visit in Yreka. The motel is clean, quiet and the service was friendly. I helped run a motel in Mt. Shasta for years. It is not an easy job and keeping the place clean is hard... This Motel is above the crust. Our non-smoking room had a Refrigerator, Microwave, Coffee, Free Wifi etc. all part of the deal, for $49 a night... Will stay here again. read more

Two windows no view. The window in the bathroom looks out on a dumpster,and the one next to the bed looks onto the carport. The room looks clean. Dark, old carpet. A toilet that takes forever to fill and makes a high pitched screech while filling. On the way out of town so you have to drive to the historic part of town. My daughter said "no offense, but I think we're staying in the worst hotel." Inexpensive and clean, but you don't want to spend much time in your room. Super dated everything!!! From the pink toilet/bathtub to the old tube TV! Old furniture throughout with dirty cushions on the two chairs. Towels were tattered and sheets were rough. My 2 year old wanted a bath but i wouldn't let her sit on the old dirty rubber mat that was permanently glued to the bottom of the tub. There was also a dangerous power outlet loose and dangling in our room (114) Thanks to the above yelpers we booked a room here sight unseen on our way back home from Washington. When we I got to our room we noticed that there were one large towel and one face towel of poor quality for two people When we asked the proprietor for additional towels she rudely insisted the towels were already in the room.l . Finally after holding my ground, the proprietor gave me another bath towel and one face towel . Next day when we lelt the room and on our return ALL THE TOWELS WERE MISSING fron the the room. Cameback in afternoon that day the room was not cleaned and the two bath towels and two face towels were missing. I called the front desk and asked them what happened to our towels . She said " that when I went to clean the room the towels were missing " . Accusing me of stealing her towels. which was not true . As result of her thinking that she did not clean the room. The desk-clerk/proprietor Sanjay Agarwal was the friendliest most accommodating hotel staff I have ever dealt with. When my plans changed at the last minute and my arrival was delayed by a day, and I told him that we did not know how late we would be arriving, he cheerily accommodated me and changed my reservation over the phone, even though the Booking.com website said it was too late to change. And when we finally arrived late at night, he said he had saved for us an upgraded room for the original reserved price, even though the place was fully booked that night. He also suggested places we could eat in town that meet our particular needs, and also suggested sights that would fit our interests that were along our route, and gave us detailed directions. And he was genuinely interested in hearing about our trip. We stayed there twice, both heading north to Oregon and again heading back south. On our second visit he recognized and remembered us and called us by name.. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. And that is specially notable because the rooms there cost only half of what the rest of the hotels charged on our trip throughout the full length of California and Oregon.
