I've grew up in payson my whole life. This was the hospital I went when I sprained my ankle, had a bad reaction to a medication, and now for my CHS. I've been in and out of multiple ERS and I was skeptical of payson because of experiences years prior. However, they must have gotten new staff or management because this was a much better experience. I forgot my doctor's name which I will try to add to the review later. However, they were in the room right away, made sure to listen to my concerns and explained why things are the way they are. Very understanding and not judgmental. Was in and out of the hospital in two hours and feeling out of pain right now hours later. I appreciate this hospital and hope each and everyone who took care of me sees this and you have a blessed day. read more

I had surgery at Mountain Vlew Hospital and it was a great experience. Everyone was extremely professional but at the same time caring and very compassionate. They communicated great and everything was as they said it would be and everything was on time. It was a very pleasant experience. read more

Worse place ever! Sad we got lost and were two minutes late and they told us that they couldn't attend us cause we were late. Even though we came all the way from Orem. Don't come here it's better to go to Provo or Orem they are more understanding, I have never been turn away. read more

My dad went in for a emergency surgery. Was kept for observation overnight. The doctor did not visit him once in a 24 hour period. This is horrendous. He was having trouble breathing, was in pain, his oxygen levels were low. How do they know something wasn't terribly wrong. All the nurse said was 'they would try to find the doctor'. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL!!! EVER!! read more

Seriously, this place is awesome. Don't listen to the one star review that just gives basic, non specific information. From ER, to ICU, to med-surge, this little gem of a hospital is the real deal. My father-in-law suffered an injury in his memory care facility. The paramedics brought him to MountainView. It's such a blessing they did. From the moment we walked in, the staff was very attentive and informative. They literally held our hands and put us at ease in explaining the situation. Turns out he suffered a heart attack, collapsed and hit his head and arm. They stitched him up, diagnosed the heart problem then submitted him to the absolute best ICU Unit on earth. My wife collapsed during a heart stress test at Mountain View and had a difficult time recovering. Following a few hours in the ER, she was kept overnight in the hospital for further evaluation. The hospital nurses, the subsequent testing technician and Doctor Colver were all completely unaware that she had collapsed earlier and was in their own ER before hospital admission. Despite having friendly, seemingly competent nurses, the lack of inter-hospital communication and a doctor was too unprofessional to listen and who ignored overwhelming clinical evidence left us with only frustration, a large medical bill and no diagnosis. read more

We have had several experiences with this small hospital and they have all been excellent. The staff is very caring, accommodating and helpful. For procedures they don't do, there is a helicopter right outside and ready to transport the patient to a hospital that does. We had a friend who used the helicopter. She had as good of an experience as possible after falling down the stairs, breaking her neck and several bones. She received immediate attention and is now doing well. The hospital in Payson may be small, but they are well prepared for any emergency. read more

My daughter was taken to the emergency room and I feel this is one of the most unprofessional hospitals I have been to. They lost her records of the exams they performed, and when I picked her up, the medical staff didn't even walk her out to the foyer. I asked my daughter about where the nurse was to talk to us about her release and she said the nurse didn't even walk her out of the room!! She wandered the halls for a minute and finally found where she needed to go. She was disoriented so I feel they should have been a little more receptive to her situation and at least walk her out. I hope if I am ever in an emergency situation that I don't need to be taken to this hospital! read more

I think the care here is better than other hospitals because it is a smaller hospital. Just like their slogan says, "bigger is not always better." I think you get physicians, nurses and techs that are top notch but have the time to actually deal with a patient and not just a chart number. I've dealt with them as a patient and through work... If I had to pick a hospital to go to, this would be it. read more

Our family loves Mountain View. In the past 2 mths 4 of our family members have needed emergent care and was so happy with our experience at Mountain View. Many thanks to the Doctors and Nurses who work so hard to keep Payson and other surrounding communities well cared for. read more

I have serious concerns about the doctors at this facility. A family member went there for treatment for mental health issues. The attending doctor chose to spent the time with this patient explaining the many different ways one could commit suicide! What was this "health professional" thinking? If this was an attempt at reverse psychology, it failed in a serious manner! The doctor in question has been reported. Based on this experience, I would never recommend this hospital to anyone who has a choice. Go to a different facility where the doctors actually care about their patients wellbeing. read more

I couldn't disagree further from Shanda J. who posted a negative review. My husband received excellent care in ICU during his week long stay. I felt like the nurses and doctors gave him the best care. They were pleasant, helpful and informative and really seemed to know what they were doing. I felt comfortable leaving him at night when I went home, knowing he would get good care. I hope we don't need to go to the hospital again, but if we did I wouldn't hesitate to go to Mountain View again. read more

Worst ER visit in my entire life! I had suffered a severe injury and needed to receive tests such as; CT scan or MRI. I was seen by Dr.Royall and was treated awful and he has absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. While explaining my injury to him, he made several rude comments and rolled his eyes the entire time. It was very apparent that he could care less about what I was in there for. I would have received better medical attention from someone with absolutely no medical knowledge. When I spoke to others about my experience, I was surprised to hear how many other people had the same or similar experience with this doctor. The following day I went and got a second opinion and tests done and found out that I have a severe medical condition that needed immediate attention. If I would have waited any longer to find out my condition I would have been left with permanent damage. This physician has left this hospital with a terrible reputation which is to bad because, I'm sure that there are some great doctor's that work there and I wish that one of the other doctors would have been there to actually HELP me!! If anyone has an emergency and goes to this hospital, I hope that there is a different doctor there that will actually help you. read more
