Right after birth you can get into your own bed!
Kristen H.

I came to Amy when I was 33 weeks pregnant with my 3rd child, first home birth. I felt nervous to do a home birth and wondered if I was too late into my pregnancy to switch from my OB. I was also unsure of how to find the 'right' midwife. When I found Amy she calmed all of my fears and I knew she was the right midwife for our family. I wanted the birth to be a positive, life-changing experience for our whole family and because of choosing to use Amy's services, it was more than that. My husband and I also took the Bradley Method Class with Amy. I highly recommend this whether you're choosing a home or hospital birth. Education and preparation for an amazing birth experience made all the difference. 33 weeks was not too late and my husband and I learned so much we had never known with our first 2 births. The whole birthing process was such a joy and my husband and I loved the comfort of being in our own home. My husband was also empowered by how much he could be involved, which is not possible in the hospital. Amy's support team are extremely qualified and added even more calm and assurance during the birthing process. We both highly recommend Amy. Her confidence and assurance will boost your own and she will not own help the birth process go smoothly and joyfully, but she inspires parents to become the parents they are meant to be. Thanks so much Amy!

I knew I wanted to work with Amy after our first meeting. Her kindness, charisma, incredible energy…read moreand especially experience and intelligence sold me! I appreciated that we also shared the same values as Christians. From day one of official care, the entire team was incredible welcoming and once again, experienced and intelligence. I always got my questions answered and felt so much confidence and support from them. Prenatal care was more than I could ask for- I never felt rushed and always felt taken care of. The birth experience itself went amazing and while there's a lot I attribute to that but the biggest thing I'm grateful for was Amy helped naturally get labor progressing at 40 weeks because my mom was in town from out of the country and was leaving 3 days later so I was anxious to have the baby before she left. Well sure enough, Amy worked her magic and I went into labor less than 12 hours later! Once again her confidence was so assuring. During the birth itself Amy, Desi and Debbie were such a calming supportive force. They quietly and efficiently took care of me. Amy especially while I was pushing was everything I needed. And they all did everything perfectly to ensure I was comfortable after and informed. They took such good care of my baby and I felt so loved and cared for! I couldn't have made a better decision going with Peaceful Midwifery! I'm currently 3 days postpartum and have had daily check-ins and an in person visit and feel so cared for. If you're deciding what group to go with or if you want to do an at home birth, Amy and her team are the best possible choice! And I'm so happy we did a home birth.

I had recently been diagnosed with GD and although being told initially that I could not have an out of hospital birth, I was determined to have the dream home birth that I have always hoped for. Amy, Desi, and their team gave me all the support and encouragement I needed to fulfill this dream. For every ailment I had during pregnancy, they had a holistic and effective way of addressing the issue. I was honestly blown away. If I have any more kids in the future, I will for sure go back to Peaceful Birth Midwifery in a heart beat. Awesome team!

When I met Katie I immediately felt a great connection and that she would be invaluable throughout my pregnancy experience. I was right, I can't recommend her enough. I went into my labor feeling supported and prepared and I had an amazing experience with Katie right there with me. I loved being able to text or call her with any of my concerns, especially since I didn't have a partner or traditional support. She was calm and patient during my unmedicated labor and delivery (even when I was yelling at everyone in the delivery room). If you are considering a doula or if you're curious about the process, I highly recommend at least talking with Katie to see if she is a good fit for you.

We contacted them through their site and didn't get a response for almost two weeks. Ended up going with them. It was rough in the beginning. We also emailed admin and didn't get a response for 5 days. Would have gone longer but couldn't wait for response to find out of they could extend longer or not. Went different direction. Overall a good experience.

Previous birth experiences in labor and delivery weren't great for me and my husband. Moving from…read moreCA to Utah recently and not having any family in town, my husband and I talked about hiring a doula for the birth of our 3rd child. When Hanan and I first met, my 2 little ones were a little wild and couldn't sit still that morning. Hanan was patient with them and took her time with me. I felt very comfortable and wanted to hire her on the spot. She was so nice, knowledgeable and caring. I knew I didn't need to interview anyone else and she was the one I wanted to help me while I was delivering. My husband and I spoke that afternoon and I immediately let her know that we chose her! Anytime I had a question and yes it could have been a silly question she always answered. She gave us a recap on a class in our home and it was nice to go over things that I forgot or may have not known from my previous 2. She made me and my husband feel comfortable and looked forward to delivering baby. I ended up getting induced. Since my husband had to be with both kids and was going back and fourth between hospital and home, Hanan came shortly after labor and delivery checked me in. She was there every step of the way. I had no idea if I was going to have a non medicated labor or have an epidural. She provided me knowledge along the way. She kept my mind off contractions. She used techniques to help my contractions feel better. She was positive and kept cheering me on. When I got to 7 cm dilated I didn't think I could do it. She encouraged me and was my cheerleader. I got to 8 Cm dilated and I was freaking out. The pain was horrible. All I wanted to do at that point was to get an epidural but I knew I couldn't. I got this far and knew I had to finish up what I always wanted to do. Hanan was right there helping me try to feel comfortable. Again using different techniques and just being positive and calm. Next thing I knew I had to push. Hanan knew it was important to me to have my husband with me while baby was being born. She went out and got him and stayed with both of my kids while I pushed baby out. I am forever grateful to her for being there for us, helping me get through a non medicated labor , being positive and calm and being my cheerleader. She was an amazing doula and gave me a birth experience will never forget. One of the best birth experiences we have experienced. I would highly recommend Hanan to anyone asking about a doula. She truly is the best and know if you chose her you are in the best of hands.

From our initial meetings to the postpartum follow-up, Kylee showed professionalism, friendship, compassion, and expertise. She made my pregnancy and birthing journey truly remarkable. Kylee's warm personality and abundant knowledge put me (and my husband) at ease throughout our pregnancy. She took the time to understand my unique needs, talk me through fears, and helped me clearly lay out a birth plan that incorporated all my wishes. Her ability to listen attentively and offer emotional support was invaluable. She even helped us find our perfect midwife! During labor, Kylee's presence was absolutely needed. The days leading up to going into labor Kylee checked in frequently, Once I had gone into labor we gave her a late night/last minute call and she arrived at the midwife very timely. She brought a sense of calm and reassurance that helped me navigate the intensity of my experience and did an amazing job instructing my partner. She held my hand through each contraction (I'm sorry if I squeezed too hard) and her knowledge of various birthing techniques, comfort measures, and positioning options was extensive. Kylee's unwavering encouragement talked me through the most difficult parts of my labor. She not only supported me in my decisions but also worked collaboratively with the midwife team to ensure open communication and a harmonious birth environment. In the postpartum period, Kylee continued to be a pillar of support. Her follow-up visits were thorough, and she provided valuable guidance on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and adjusting to the new dynamics of parenthood. Knowing that Kylee is there for me beyond labor added an extra layer of comfort and reassurance. Choosing to have a doula was one of the best decisions I made for my birth experience. The passion Doulas of Utah have for empowering women and creating positive birthing memories is evident in every aspect of their work. I wholeheartedly recommend Kylee and Doulas of Utah to anyone seeking a supportive, knowledgeable, and compassionate team member for their birthing journey. Thank you, Kylee, for being an integral part of my transformative birth experience! If you find yourself on the fence about whether to enlist the support of a doula, let me tell you that the decision to have one by your side is one you won't regret. I felt heard, supported, and empowered every step of the way. (+) I also participated in a Birthing Class (Hypnobabies) offered by their team which my husband and I greatly enjoyed. It helped us connect with our baby and each other. (+) I also chose to do use their Placenta Encapsulation service which was a game-changer for my postpartum journey! The process was fun to watch, and the capsules were made right in my own kitchen.
