Let's talk about an an incident that I consider disgusting business practice and a direct attack on a women's right to choose. A woman goes to her postpartum six week check up. She has also scheduled an IUD insertion at this time. -Patient arrives to appointment to be informed she has a balance due. Patient has not yet received the bill as the insurance has just processed the labor and delivery. -Patient is informed that bill is approx. $600 and it is demanded immediately. Obviously, patient cannot pay it in full today and asked for a payment plan- WHICH IS DENIED. -Patient is then informed her BIRTH CONTROL WILL BE WITHHELD UNTIL PAYMENT IS MADE DESPITE IT BEING COVERED AT 100% BY HER COMMERCIAL INSURANCE CARRIER. -Also this is also done in a discourteous manner in the waiting room thus violating the patients right to PRIVACY. Please help spread the word and help stop bad business practices and help women know what to ask before choosing an OB/GYN. Ban this group. read more

0 EFFING STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They called me a year later to ask me for an updated address, I said why do you need one I have never been seen my your services. She goes, it just looks like you have some return mail we need to send you. Again, I asked well what are you sending me because it sounds like a bill and why would I pay you when I have never been seen. She said you have a balance of $39 dollars. NOW I REMEMBER. A year ago when I had an Ovarian Cyst and was in and out of the hospital due to pain/nausea/dehydration. The NP or provider basically laughed in my face because she said it was only 3CM and they weren't going to remove something that small and would just let it BURST on its own. SHE DID NOT CHECK MY VITALS, SHE DID NOT WRITE ME A PRESCRPTION, SHE DID NOT HELP ADMIT ME TO THE HOSPITAL. SO WHY AM I BEING CHARGED FOR A SERVICE I NEVER RECEIVED. As well as, they must be desperate for money because it is legit $39. YOU GUYS ARE PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been a loyal patient of this practice for nearly 20 years and have always valued the care I've received. Unfortunately, my experience today was deeply disappointing. I arrived for my scheduled appointment but was refused service because I did not have my updated insurance card in hand--even though my insurance coverage has not changed. When I asked for assistance, the receptionist, Beverly, declined to help further or contact anyone else in the office to resolve the issue, and I was told someone would "reach out later." As a professional myself, I value courtesy and communication, and I would have appreciated the same consideration--especially after making arrangements to leave my students early to attend this appointment. I feel like a number here. Wait forever to see the doctors and they are in and out as quick as they can. Recently had surgery and called to talk to the nurse to see if my post surgical experience was "normal" or something I should worry about. The nurse refused to speak to any of my concerns and told me "if you're worried, go to the ER." When I asked if I could please make a same day appointment she said, "sorry no. If you're worried just go to the ER" Valley used to be great in the early 00's but it's gone downhill as it has grown. Can't wait to finish up my care with them so I can switch practices. read more

The doctor I saw was very hurried and I could tell didn't care to really help me. I came in and it was my first Pap smear, she didn't walk me through it at all, she made me bleed and told me "that's not normal, interesting" and then proceeded to have the student help her do it. It was painful. After I explained my horribly painful periods and expressed I don't want to get on birth control and she continued to introduce birth control options to me. I feel like I wasn't heard and helped. read more

They are nearly impossible to get ahold of. It's honestly the worst part about them. Already in a hard spot losing my baby I was supposed to receive a call to schedule a surgery. No call for several hours. When you call the nurses line they cannot pickup the line and they make you leave a voicemail. Saying they will get back to you by the end of the day. I left a voicemail and used their chat feature several times to try to get someone to call me. No call. Left a voicemail with the surgery scheduler. No call. I left these messages throughout the day, my appt was at 10am. It's now 4pm and they close in 30 minutes and I'm not on the schedule for surgery in the morning like the dr told me I'd be. I resort to the only line that will answer, the receptionist. The only helpful person, calls the scheduler. Scheduler "hasn't heard anything about (me) needing a surgery". I get scheduled for the afternoon which makes me have to fast most of the day rather than being able to wake up and just go to the surgery. When you're pregnant you can get very sick from not eating and that is the case for me. IT IS LIKE THIS EVERYTIME. They are so difficult to get ahold of and honestly thinking of reporting them because they are not caring for their patients. This was high urgency, and only because I called the receptionist am I able to get the surgery... maybe. Haven't even received my exact time to go in to the hospital or pre-op instructions and it's the next morning. Also you see a different Dr everytime and I've run into issues where they are going over someone else's chart instead of mine. Terrible experiences especially with the circumstances. Valley Women's Health needs to do better, and they need to staff more nurses to answer questions. read more

My wife received care from these guys across two locations and had really bad experience. They refused to let us see a doctor instead of the nurse practitioner who forgot and failed to send for prescriptions "because that's protocol" and stated a nurse there would have to refer us to a doctor. We are in the process of looking for new providers. Avoid like the plague. read more

This is a great office. The atmosphere of it is really nice. I have been going here since March 2022. I had my first prenatal appointment with Dr. Dabbling. I found out I had a miscarriage. The nurses were so sweet during my miscarriage, I got a phone call from a nurse every day for about a month a little longer to see how I was doing. They care about you. I got pregnant again May 2022 with our first. I had my first prenatal appointment with Dr. Dabbling again. I liked her a lot and wanted to keep seeing her. I would schedule most of my appointments with her. There were a few times she wasn't available so I saw Dr. Bennet a few times. I usually preferred going to a woman. One reason I am giving them 4 star instead of 5 is since this was my first baby, I had no clue about certain things, I had no clue they offered a birthing class or breast feeding class. They never told me and I found out about it when I was 8 months pregnant. I was so upset they didn't tell me about it sooner. They really dropped the ball on that. My aunt was able to find me a free class somewhere else but I took it so close to my due date and I'm so glad I took the class. They also never told me I could get a free breast pump through insurance. I had to ask. I felt like as a new first time mom they should tell you all this since it's all new. They lack communication a bit. I also don't like how they don't keep you with 1 doctor. It's hard to build a relationship if you don't see the same doctor. I kept scheduling with Dr. Dabbling and the receptionists would say to try and schedule with different doctors. Dr. dabbling wasn't even the one who delivered my baby. Whichever doctor is on call is the one who delivers your baby. Not a fan of that. Dr. Rees ended up delivering my baby. He was nice. I started pushing with the nurse and every time I had a contraction my baby's heart rate would drop drastically. It was pretty scary. Dr. Rees was delivering another baby so we had to wait for him. Once he was there my baby was delivered pretty quickly. He did have to do forceps on me to get my baby out fast because of her heart rate dropping. He did a second degree episiotomy and he used forceps and I tore 3rd degree. My uncle is a retired OBGYN and he said he should of never let me tear. My baby girl was delivered safe and healthy in February 2023. read more

Avoid the Orem midwife group. I was at her birth. I wouldn't wish this experience on another. It can and should be much better.

The doctor was with me maybe 2 minutes, didn't listen to my concerns, and quickly rushed me out the door. Would NOT recommend

I was desperately searching for a provider that would take their time with me since I have had trust issues with males. I found Amanda Cannon at the Vinyard location. I hadn't been to a gynecologist in over 5 years. She was nothing short of amazing!! She took time to listen to me and make me feel comfortable. I never felt rushed. She asked my permission for everything she did. Never in 51 years have I ever been to such a kind, gentle and compassionate provider like her. I can't recommend her enough! read more

I had 2 babies with Valley once we moved to Utah. It is a busy practice, but I always felt valued as a patient and knew I was in good hands with all of the providers. I could not be happier with my experience there-- even if I had to wait at times. Now that I am done having babies, I am also very satisfied with my care. The NP's are amazing. read more

I do not know why this place has such horrible ratings! I was trying to find an appointment at a gyno and literally every practice within an hour of me was booked like 3 months out, but this place had openings in just a few weeks! I saw three different people during my visit. The first girl just took my vitals, then she asked if I would be okay meeting with a PA student and I said sure, and I LOVED the PA student! I went in to explore birth control options and the PA student was very thorough in explaining any options I was interested in, and she was not biased towards any of the methods or trying to convince me to pick a certain one which I really love. She spent like 30 minutes just answering my questions and explaining things to me. She was seriously just an angel! At the end I saw a doctor briefly, she was also very kind and just followed up to make sure I didn't have any further questions or concerns. Some people also mentioned in reviews that they had to wait a long time at the office, but actually they were ready to take me back to a room before I had even finished filling out paperwork. Really just can't recommend this place enough! read more

I 10/10 do not recommend the Orem / Vineyard location. I am someone who does not love going to the Dr. And to call and try to make an appointment is a big deal for me. I called in to see if they were taking new patients and thankfully they were. I vaguely explained what I needed as I am not 100% sure how to explain the area medically or what the issue is medically as I am clearly not a Dr. Not only was the woman I spoke to extremely unhelpful, repeating the same "we are more of a private practice, I need to know EXACTLY the area or I can't even schedule you because we don't do "general practice things" and it may need to be handled by a different type of Dr if it isn't on a specific area" There were long pauses where she wouldn't say anything. I did my best to reassure her that this is something I know I would need to see an obgyn for. There was no offer of, hey, let me have you talk with someone else so you can try to explain it and maybe they'll catch something I'm not, or hey, let me get you over to a nurse and maybe we can get it figured out that way (until the last 30 seconds). They don't tell you if they take a certain type of insurance you have to call your insurance on your own. After 13 minutes of trying to get it figured out she said "I can get you over to a nurse or you can call somewhere else" I said that I would call someone else (as I was starting to cry and didn't want her to hear because I was embarrassed that I couldn't in depth explain the issue in a way that I could get some basic help). And my call was ended with a "bye" not a I'm so sorry I couldn't get you scheduled or a if you can get a better description call us back and I am happy to help, or a hey, we can do a general check up and maybe you can explain your concerns there nothing. Just a "bye". I will say that I called the other locations for valley health, not only did Amy help me get scheduled in no time, she was extremely professional as I was making my appointment in tears from being so frustrated. She told me they take my insurance, she didn't make me draw a diagram and look up all the medical terms to guess what I needed, she listened to my concerns and made sure I knew that if I didn't know the exact concern that she was going to schedule me for a general check up appointment because my insurance even covers 1 a year and we can figure it out from there. Thank you so much Amy for making sure I felt heard, cared for, and that even though I was unsure how to explain the Issue that your office was going to make sure I am taken care of! Really been frustrated with the orems office - they have cancelled 2 ultra sounds without telling me, so I show up and then don't have any appt and they won't get me in (after arranging childcare). Lately there has been ridiculous wait times, upwards of 45 min. Go to the provo office if you can, the wait isn't always better but the front office staff hasn't ever messed up. Getting worried about delivering here in a few weeks. read more

I never leave reviews but I feel bad for valley obgyn with all the awful reviews. I've had two of my babies (3rd and 4th) through their office and had a great experience. I will say I'm pretty low maintenance and am flexible with seeing whoever is available. Everyone has always been kind and professionally me and were happy to answer questions. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is sometimes the wait times are long, but I think it's to be expected. Usually it's because someone is delivering a baby or had a long appt answering someone's questions. On the flip side if I ever had concerns they were happy to sit and talk with me and never rushed me out the door. I would just like if they had another PA or something to help pick up the slack when docs are delivering babies, especially for quick routine checkups. read more

My experience with Valley OB in Timp/Orem was horrible. While waiting for results from a mammogram and ultrasound, (ultimately, waiting to find out if I had breast cancer?) I was received with rudeness, coldness, incompetance and an overall lack of concern or compassion. No one even bothered to read my chart or review the reason why I was there. When I finally sat down with someone, she was condescending. She was absolutley unhelpful. I left with so many concerns and questions. It is a mill, in and out, generic care and no feeling. read more

They have some terrible issues. I love my nurse practitioner, too bad she works here. I have heard nurses mocking patients while waiting in the exam room - Hipaa anyone? Like really personal stuff and using her name. I have been left to wait for a blood draw for over an hour and then challenged if the draw was ever ordered despite clearing it (I thought) by phone the previous day. And when I had to leave because what was supposed to be a 15 - 20-minute walk-in had taken so long, I never got a call back to see what needed to be done to get me in there. I followed a recommendation to make an appointment with the Provo clinic. The day before, I was told that the person who I was scheduled to see (after a 24 day wait) had a schedule conflict and was then scheduled to see another NP. After spotting for almost four months, I decided to keep the appointment. The receptionist didn't even look up from the computer. When I went in to discuss my situation, there were major concerns of cancer. (I could hear the assistant and NP talking about it outside the door.) During the exam, I wasn't told what she was going to do and it hurt a lot! She ordered a bunch of tests. A week later, I had an internal ultrasound. The hospital had the results an hour after the ultrasound. Three weeks later, Valley Women's still hadn't called me about the results. The NP recommended a uterine biopsy. When I came in for it, no one had told me anything about what would happen. Since I already had PTSD, I wrote down what I needed and my concerns to discuss with her before the procedure. The assistant told me to sign the consent form, but I still hadn't been told anything about the procedure. I asked to talk with the NP first. After waiting in an extremely cramped space with chipping wall paint, hearing a women crying out in pain from nearby, listening to the condescending tone of a staff member explaining something to the person next door (HIPPA anyone?), the NP came in. She immediately seemed annoyed and dismissive of my account of the pain caused by the previous two exams and flippantly stated that she could just schedule a D&C or write a prescription for pain pills afterward. I couldn't afford to take another day off of work, so I chose to go forward with the appointment. She directed me to sign the consent, and then walked out shutting the door behind her. Then things got worse. The NP was rough and made no attempts at caring about how much pain I was in as she began the procedure. I was hyperventilating and she didn't say a word. She did the procedure twice and made no apologies. Then she pulled out the speculum and clamp and put my feet on the bed extender while telling me that I could wait there until the cramping lessened. There was no cramping. It was shear PAIN! I couldn't stop hyperventilating, crying, and whispering "I need help." I couldn't move. It hurt so much. The privacy sheet was still pulled up, resting on my knees facing the door. Um, hello?? Finally, I was able to slide my foot forward and hook my ankle on the table extender to push it back into the table a little. When I stood up, blood ran down my legs. Then a huge clot came out. No one told me that this would happen. No one had given me anything to clean myself up with, so I used the sheet. On the floor by the garbage was one of the tools she had used. The lid to the garbage was left open and the bloody tipped speculum was on top. Body fluids are supposed to be in a bio-hazard garbage, not in the regular garbage. After wiping up the blood that came out when I stood up, I carefully made it over to the sink to clean up more. Once I was redressed, I went to open the door (hunched over in pain still) at the same time that the NP was about to open the door. That's when she finally seemed to care and offered numbing cream and pain meds...except that I was still going to have to wait for up to an hour to get them at the pharmacy. I ended up sitting in the parking lot trying to breathe while continuing to hyperventilate from the pain. A week later, I made an appointment with my regular medical office. They were appalled at my experience, prescribed medication for the problem indicated by the ultrasound, gave me the results of the tests that Valley's didn't provide or explain, and two weeks later, the problem had been resolved. I sent my experience to one of Valley's offices and received "I'm sorry you had a difficult experience." as the response. I will not go back. read more

This practice treats you like a number- not a person. They have horrible internal communication and the office staff are very rude. They also tell you that you're required to be seen my their providers much more than insurance requires just so that they can bill for unnecessary services. I have a surgery scheduled and every time I call to talk with the nurse doing the scheduling, I get her voicemail. Today, I got a call from their office staff saying that my appointment had to be rescheduled with a different provider but that I could keep the same time/date from the original appointment. I show up for my appointment and that same staffer tells me that she screwed up and that I would need to reschedule. She wouldn't even let me use the restroom since I wasn't pregnant. It was the most bizarre encounter I've ever experienced with a doctor's office- EVER. DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE! read more

I wish I could give this place a good review. I gave them a fighting chance--I finally gave up on my third pregnancy. The doctors themselves are knowledgable and kind, and their practice is really modern and fancy, though lately it takes 45 minutes of waiting to be seen. I wish they would separate out into a few smaller practices. The Provo practice is so huge, they just can't treat you like an individual. I feel like their MO is "we PROBABLY won't find anything wrong, so let's not bother checking." I understand that with a big practice, you have to have some policies in place so you aren't seeing the same people a thousand times for every little thing, but they are NOT thorough. The nurses act like bouncers that are keeping you from seeing a doctor unless your basically on your deathbed. This attitude led to me having an ectopic pregnancy go too far undiagnosed, and I lost a Fallopian tube. Just because they "probably" wouldn't have found anything, so they wouldn't do an ultrasound until it was an emergency situation. I gave them another chance with my current pregnancy, but after today, I'm done. I had some concerns and they refused to see me because I was "probably" fine. Long story short, if you want any sort of personalized care, find somewhere else. read more

It's no wonder this business has almost 1 star. I haven't been coming here for almost two years now and I'm still paying the price. When I went to get approved for a home yesterday, my credit had tanked due to Valley Women's Health running my preventive care through insurance incorrectly then sending me to collections with zero warning, all for $72. I thought the issue was resolved last year when I spent 5 hours in the phone back and forth because with three different companies because they didn't even know where they sent my sample of preventative care. I'm livid, this isn't even to mention the fact that they gave me the wrong vaccine WHILE I WAS PREGNANT, a vaccine that has no human trials or anything in pregnant patients, and I got nothing in return for this serious mistake, they treated it like another day and not a big deal. I am only 4 months along with my first so while I haven't gone through an entire pregnancy with them, I have been impressed so far (I have also worked with them prior to getting pregnant). They are super nice and polite at the desk and the people who collect stuff for testing are super great as well. I haven't had any troubles with wait times at any of my appointments which is great as my husband and I have busy schedules. On my first appointment they discussed with me different ways I could schedule appointments if I wanted to get to know different doctors or stick with one doctor due to the fact that I don't know who will be working when I actually deliver. I haven't really liked all the doctors I have worked with so far, but have loved some of the others. However, I don't doubt anyone's competency. Furthermore, I had an issue where they ran some (expensive) tests that I was not informed about and they worked with me on it! It did take some searching and people connecting me with other people but they helped me find a solution that I felt comfortable with. They are ready and willing (minus some of the doctors who seemed a little distracted an uninvolved) to help me with questions about my health, my baby, my concerns, billing, etc. No place is perfect, but this place definitely has a lot of great things going for it. read more

Whatever you do, do NOT go see Dr. Brian Wolsey. Let me tell you a little story... I have been a patient at Valley OBGYN for over 2 years and I love almost all the Dr's that I have seen at Valley OBGYN--well, at least the ones I have actually met with! But, the last appointment I had, no one had any openings except Wolsey. I had seen him a handful of times before and he doesn't really strive to connect with you or seem too genuine. In the past he has had difficulties working the technology in the room and focuses on that more than on me. So this time around I was really pulling to not see him BUT no other Dr had an opening for two weeks at least. As he comes into the room, he is starring down at his laptop and is clicking away at it. He says hello and sits down (still starring at the computer). After about a minute of silence he says without looking up "So is the new baby at home with grandma?". .....I am here at this appointment for a "6 week follow-up" for post "delivery", however.......I have had a miscarriage/still-birth of twins. So it is a follow-up, but not your typical kind. I am surprised by this question and get a little uncomfortable not able to spit out the words "miscarriage", so I just say, "Um, no.". He still hasn't really looked at me and says, "Oh okay" and continues to scroll and click on his laptop. Silence. Then he says, "Oh! Twins!" and he reads the names that we named our little boys who had passed, out loud--and it slices me a bit. At this point, I'm sweating and my eyes are watering but I swear to myself I can't cry. He says "those are some good, strong names", I just reply with a "thank you"--hoping and thinking that at this point he's been starring at his computer so much that he has GOT to have figured out my situation. Then another long, solid minute goes by of scrolling and clicking on his laptop, when finally he says with A SMILE, "Oh..." "These boys aren't with grandma, they are with their Heavenly grandma". WHAT. Mind you--I am a religious person, but this statement does not help the situation--it doesn't excuse his behavior, his lack of knowledge, it doesn't help me emotionally with my miscarriage, and it seemed like he was making light of the whole situation. At this point I wanted to barf out of sadness and felt really disrespected. After his realization FINALLY, he does the physical exam, says "Well, you're good to go" and leaves. Never apologized, never mentioned my twins again or asked me how I am doing. Nothing. I tried to call and talk to an office manager about the whole experience, the front girls said the manager would call me back--never heard from them. So, here I am to tell you-- DO NOT GO SEE DR. WOLSEY. Overall, I've liked this office, but honestly it's hard to get an appointment, and the wait times can be killer, and after THAT experience I'm probably going to switch offices. I have been using their services for 8 years - I don't know why I stayed with them so long. I was more an unwanted customer than a valued patient. This business is not concerned about the patient care or patient experience, which is unfortunate bc their preferred population is pregnant women, who are in a vulnerable physical and emotional state and should be very well cared for. Here is why you or anyone you care about should never go here. 1. Unfriendly front desk who don't really care or try to work with your schedule and finances. 2. No availability to see the same provider through your pregnancy. 3. Drs and NPs are impersonal and rough. 4. They would give me no options for the glucose tolerance test - had to be done one way. 5. Horrible call back times when I had a question for a nurse- I would sometimes spend a week trying to speak with a medical person. 6. They would not let me talk to a doctor on the phone - only a nurse, or pay hundreds of dollars for a visit that would be scheduled a month out 7. This is what made me quit going here - would not give me an urgent appointment for an urgent matter. They said I would have to wait a week or go to urgent care. I hope my frustrating, bad experiences with this company can either prevent someone else from having the same experiences, or this company will start caring about their patients as individuals and not as just another number. I know my decision to seek medical care elsewhere will not impact their business, but I hope this review will help them make some changes to the way they treat the people who trust them at the most vulnerable times in their lives. read more

I don't know why there are so many negative reviews. I am on my 2nd pregnancy using ValleyOBGYN due in 3 weeks and have only had a positive experience. I never have to wait more than 10 minutes and the midwives group will give you as little or long of attention as you need to answer your questions. Maybe they could try to get to know you more, but they have other patients to see. My one wish is that I could pick my favorite Midwife to meet with and deliver, but if you want to go to ValleyOBGYN, you get who you get. One thing I love is how the midwives have been trained to give epidurals which you don't find very often and they have super low c-section rates. I highly recommend the American Fork office! read more

I had very poor experiences with Valley OBGYN throughout my entire pregnancy. Not once did I see the same provider which made it the least personal experience ever. There receptionists were insanely rude, you can't get ahold of the office ever, AND you hav to expect to wait a minimum of 45 minutes after your scheduled time to be seen. I'm 19 and married, my husband works and was rarely able to come to my appointments with me. The receptionist was very rude and asked "for my own curiosity, will the dad of your child even be involved. Will your child know it's father". The receptionist has ZERO room to ask me this and mind you, you have to put your relationship status when you first are seen there. But really, why are you even asking me this?!? "Your curiosity" is the most invalid and inappropriate reason. I was throwing up and nauseous all day every day until 25 weeks. Not once was I given anything to help with it. At about 22 weeks, I was told I was likely to lose the pregnancy however I was given no explanation. I was at loss for 2 days until I went back to get a more in-depth ultrasound, and it was there that I had to ASK to speak with a doctor and had to be the one to ask specific questions, and even then I got very surface level, minimal answers. At 33 weeks, my blood pressure was very abnormally high for my body and I was getting migraines every single day. I was insanely nauseous and could stand up for longer than a minute without getting dizzy. My systolic remained 130-160s until I gave birth. At 35 weeks, I expressed concerns about decrease in movement and that I just felt off and I knew something was not normal. It got ignored and I was told everything is fine (no tests or anything were performed to make sure of that). At 36 weeks, I was told to "hurry into the hospital and don't waste anytime". I was told this day after day. I was sent home most of the time without any tests or anything. the doctors (who were the ones that told me to hurry in) were the ones who sent me home. I got tested for preeclampsia twice and tested negative however my blood pressure just kept rising and movements became less and less. I was told one of the days that they could induce at 37 weeks because of my high blood pressure (the decrease in movement was ignored the entire time). At my 37 weeks appointment, the doctor told me to go to the hospital to get medically induced. When I got there, the doctor on call (a different doctor than the one that sent me to get induced. As I am giving birth, the doctor told me my child should be dead (I hadn't even delivered the placenta. I was in the middle of giving birth!). I can't tell you that I'm the middle of giving birth, and after getting a run around by these doctors, being told your child should be dead is the last thing you want to hear. I can't imagine how stupid the doctor felt at the point considering he tried sending me home that night. And how awful would he have felt if I lost my baby because he wouldn't listen to me and my body. This office cares about money. They made us feel as though we as people had zero significance. At the end of the day, I'm just thankful that I was stubborn with these doctors. And above all that my son made it here safely, no thanks to the doctors. I will never go back to these doctors again and I recommend nobody else go there either! I wish dr Rees and Thorpe didn't work here because I would love to have them continue to be my doctor but it's not worth having to deal with their other staff and doctors. read more

I tried to give their Provo office and doctors a fighting chance. However, they have too many patients and terrible internal communication. Their receptionists don't know much and their nurses lack tact, the doctors are super busy and even if you request to see the same one you never will because they're always at deliveries. Do yourself a favor and go to a smaller practice. read more

Review from my husband: It has been several months since my wife last visited this place. There was never much of a problem with the service. The nurses were informative and nice. The facility including the waiting room and exam rooms were clean an inviting. The problem I have with them is refusing to take any responsibility for a mix up that they made when it came to sending a test sample for a biopsy. My wife had had the procedure done the previous year in 2015 and again in 2016. Between those two years our insurance changed and they sent the test to the same pathologist both times. The problem is our insurance in 2016 did not cover that procedure with the pathologist they sent it to. I was informed by a representative with them that they have two pathologists that they use depending on insurance. They sent my wife's test to the wrong one without first checking our insurance. They didn't even call to say this is not covered. They just sent it over and guess what? We get stuck paying the full bill since out insurance doesn't cover that pathologist. When I finally spoke with a billing representative with Valley obgyn they denied any wrongdoing and tried to push all the blame onto the pathology billing department or our insurance. The problem is that they sent the sample in the first place. WE DID NOT SOLICITE ANY SERVICE FROM THAT PATHOLOGIST. The obgyn office sent that over on my wife's behalf without any notification or permission. I will be pushing this issue up the chain as far as I possibly can until it is resolved. Terrible terrible terrible! This place is the worst, they have 12 different doctors and I've only managed to see the same one twice, other than that I meet a different doctor each visit. They never call back to follow up on labs, the nurses seem to rush everything off and the rest of the staff are clueless. I used this practice for my 2nd pregnancy because of my insurance and I will never use them again. It has been the worst experience ever and I'm convinced they care nothing for their patients or their health. Avoid avoid avoid! They deserve 0 starts. read more

The staff are very nice and friendly. That is the ONLY good thing about this place. They have constant miscommunication, they never call back on labs, and both times we were waiting on results, we had to call several times in order to get them. We came to the offices 3 times for pregnancy and then miscarriage, and never met the doctor. Apparently, as with other reviews, they are too busy to care about their patients or give them important information. The nurse that we had, was, again, friendly, but CLUELESS. She contradicted nearly everything that an ER doctor had told us two days before, and seemed that she was guessing about her 'diagnosis.' I have never had seen a nurse in my life that I have trusted less, and one that was so frequently proven incorrect. The last straw was when my wife and I came in for a last ultrasound after a miscarriage, and the idiot nurses somehow mixed up a MISCARRIAGE appointment with a first trimester ultrasound. How can you screw that up? How can you not have appropriate communication and still be an effective or even safe clinic? What kind of clinic asks a mourning woman, "So, is this for your first trimester ultrasound? How exciting!" I certainly wouldn't trust this clinic with my wife's health or future pregnancies, and I don't think anyone else should either. read more

The vibe i get from this office is that when all the patients leave, the staff is joking about how needy and stupid their patients are for being concerned about their health. I am a very easy going person, and it takes a lot to make me mad. I've never written a review for any company before, and am honestly shocked that I am doing this.. but after my appointment today i was confused, shocked, disappointed, and unsure whether I should be really sad or really mad . Both NP's I saw had a diagnosis--or lack thereof--in mind before they walked in the room to talk to me, and then ignored anything else I would say that might counter their predetermined diagnosis. Today my NP performed a vaginal check, looked at me, laughed a little bit, and then just like that diagnosed me right there with endometriosis...but then acted like I was really annoying when I had questions or concerns about it. Its fascinating really. I specifically asked them to perform a urinalysis on me..just to be safe.So the MA set it up, and I peed in the cup for them...only for my NP to not do it without telling me...so when I followed up I was told she just threw the sample away becaus, according to my symptoms, it was "probably" not a urinary problem. Well I work at an urgent care clinic, and I decided to run one on myself for kicks, and it turns out that I had a major UTI and that was literally the sole cause of my symptoms...moral of the story I guess is that I truly one hundred percent would recommend to any girl that they go to my urgent care facility for their OB/GYN needs before thinking about Valley Ob/GYN. and thats really sad! read more

Don't go here! I feel so bad for their patients. My daughter (21) was a patient until today. They have given her the run around. They thought maybe she had ovarian cancer so they involve the cancer doctor, she gets an MRI and then is given the wrong results by her doctor, they only got the correct results after my daughter questioned them. She had to have blood work and when she got there they had no idea why she needed it, askin her what type of blood work needs??? Was she pregnant???? No! She's not and why would she know what type of blood work she needs. She has a mass inside her is all she knows! They just give her the run around, been dealing with this since July! And now it's Sept??? She won't be going back here, we have already found a doctor who explained everything even drew pictures for her to understand what's going on! I don't normally leave reviews, but after the repeated bad experiences with Utah Valley OB I thought I needed to share them so that you can avoid them. Strike 1: My wife had blood work done when beginning visits with Utah Valley OB. Days later they called to tell her she had an STD that she didn't have. She got blood work redone to confirm, and it turned out that the office had misreported it. On top of that, they billed her for the second set of blood work. Our marriage is strong, but you can imagine the types of problems that "small" mistake could cause in one that isn't. Strike 2: Doctors prescribed medicine based on blood work that was lost. The medicine made my wife very sick, but she was happy to take it under the impression that she needed to. They could never find the results again that said she needed to take that prescribed medicine. Waste of time, money, and weeks of feeling sick. They also billed this procedure incorrectly, forcing us to dispute it with the office to get it charged correctly to our insurance. Strike 3: My wife went in 15 minutes early for a scheduled appointment, and proceeded to wait over an hour while the staff held a birthday party for one of the employees in the break room. Strike 4: Despite having a lab to do blood tests in their office, they sent my wife to the hospital to get the work completed. We were told this would be the same for insurance purposes, but the hospital billed it as Outpatient Service, not covered by our insurance. This mistake alone cost $800. This was the last straw. We have now changed physicians, and we cannot recommend strongly enough to avoid Utah Valley OB in Provo. read more

Save your health and go somewhere else! Yes, some of the midwives and Drs are "nice" but they are too busy to care! Every time I was seen they made me see a different midwife for my pregnancy and then no one got to know me and my health problems. After I had my c-section Claudia Killebrew refused to give me pain meds because once upon a time she knew an addict? I was traumatized by all the pain I suffered and trying to care for a newborn. I also bled non stop for 4 months after delivering and they just said oh yeah fibroids, but did nothing, just left me to bleed. I had to go somewhere else and get help! They don't care enough, go somewhere else! read more

As someone who doesn't have a lot of spare time, this place is the worst. I have NEVER been seen by my doctor sooner than 30 minutes after my scheduled time; today, I waited almost an hour (58 minutes!!!!). But when I arrived 17 minutes late for one appointment (I figured I'd save myself the time since I'd be waiting in the lobby that whole time anyway), they rescheduled me because "once you arrive 15 minutes late, we are required to reschedule your appointment." Needless to say, if I wasn't already 38 weeks along, I would go elsewhere. I transferred from Mark Saunders because one of his staff members insulted me, but honestly, knowing what I know today, I would have stayed there. While they are friendly, constant tardiness is so unprofessional and demonstrates a lack of respect for the patient. If I have another child, I will NOT be coming back here. read more

DO NOT CONFUSE *UTAH VALLY* OBGYN with *VALLEY* OBGYN!!! I went to *Valley* OBGYN with my first pregnancy, *Utah Valley* with my second. *Valley* OB had almost everything in one office (besides blood work), so I didn't have to travel everywhere to get my ultrasound, or get the glucose drink before the blood test, etc. It was SO convenient to not have to travel to another office where I would then have to wait in another long line! I loved my **UTAH Valley** (NOT VALLEY) doctor, (I liked having one doctor), and the office staff was nice, but something is very, very wrong with the billing office. You'll notice it's impossible to find or write a written review on "Utah Valley" OB. Go figure. The only reviews you can find are misinformed people writing reviews for Valley who are truly referring to Utah Valley OBGYN, and some of them are ugly, so don't be confused. read more

Take your business elsewhere. We had our first baby with them, and that went OK, but I used flex spending money and they overcharged me. Without calling and asking, they refunded it to my flex account which had expired, and that $1000 was gone. Refunding it this way wasn't really their fault, so I didn't hold it against them... but I wish they hadn't overcharged me to begin with. Anyways, the doctors seemed nice, so for our second child, we went back. This is where my real concerns lie. First, the doctor who did our ultrasound mistook one of the muscles in our baby's heart as a calcium deposit. This resulted in a long, expensive ultrasound with a specialist who told us there was nothing there, and that whoever said it was a calcium deposit must have been very inexperienced. But guess who pays the bill on that one? Then, when my wife thought she had a UTI she went in for a test and they screwed up submitting it to the lab, so we had to wait an extra two days to get the results that should have been back after 24 hours (they blame the lab, the lab blames them, who really knows. Either way, we went to them and they didn't take care of it). Lastly (and this is the straw that broke the camel's back), two times she has been to their office and the receptionist has forgotten to put her on the queue. The first time we thought "honest mistake" and that's too bad, I guess we're out 30 minutes. This last time really sucked. Same thing, my wife and I are sitting in the waiting room while I'm popping in and out with my rambunctious toddler to check on her. Three people who arrived after my wife were promptly seen, so she asks when she'll get in and the receptionist informed her she forgot to check her in. Since this was the 2nd time in three visits, my wife left and headed back to the car fuming. We sat out there and talked for ten minutes, and she decided to go back in. She talked to the receptionist, and said she was ready to be seen. Anyways, she waited another FORTY minutes, while others who were just showing up got sent right in. What a joke. When the doctor did see her, she complained to him a little bit and he told her "well, that's what happens when you leave an appointment then come back." Zero apologies. Zero responsibility. Their 7 headed doctor system is terrible because they have no accountability to you. They don't care about you- that's why they run this system where you don't know who your doctor actually is until you arrive at the hospital. It's a system that is very convenient for them, but terribly inconvenient for you. Stay away. read more
