We even have started playing balloon volleyball in the memory care unit and the residents just love it!! One thing that is really cool to see is their point system, the residents get points for participating in activities, then once a month they have a point store where the residents can pick their favorite items from a "store" and spend their points! It is a big hit with the residents and it seems like they have a lot of fun. Sopa really does make an effort into putting things together for the residents. If you care about your loved one, I highly suggest that this facility be removed from your list of nursing facilities. Don't take my word for it. Go check it out and more than once. Make sure to check out all the different wings of the building. If you do choose this facility, know that your loved one may or may not be fed for every meal, he/she may not be bathed often, his/her clothes and other personal items will turn up missing (no one will care) and he/she might be getting sick quite often from the lack of poor nutrition, appropriate medical care and proper hygiene. There have been some good people there, but they don't stay because in the best terms, it is awful.

We have been through this scenario multiple times with her over the years at a different Ogden hospital and the same situations with my dad who passed years ago and without family being there 24/7 they would have died in the hospital. At McKay Dee they were so professional and kind I was shocked. Even the CNA's were very competent and kind which made for a constant rotation of people attending to her multitude of needs. Sometimes hospital reviews can be dependent upon the outcome of the patient affecting how family feels about the experience. My mother's outcome isn't great, but it wasn't for lack of care. They just have wonderful people working there.

One or two seemed not very happy to be there and weren't as helpful as the other angels working there. My wife had an epidural. It helped a lot with the pain. However, the nurse anesthetist, a heavyset younger gentleman, had something lodged up his behind. He was short with our L&D nurse and with us. He did fine inserting the epidural, but really was not an impressive person at all. Part of healthcare is customer service and helping your patients enjoy their experience as much as possible. That nurse anesthetist and some of the postpartum nurses could definitely work on that aspect. Overall, a happy, great experience. Everyone was expert in what they were doing. The food service would even call at meal time to make sure my wife was taken care of. Nice facilities. You do deliver in the same room you recover in but they clean everything up nicely. Would rank 5 stars if not for those few staff who can improve on their patient interactions. Would come here again.

I'm a little jealous of of the residents here. ;) I dropped by to try their lunch and it was pretty good. The Ham & Cheese Pretzel Sandwich was really good! The cheeseburgers taste just like cheeseburgers in case picky eaters are having a hard time deciding what to get. The sweet potato fries were superb and I would definitely get those for my side again. Treeo has a huge dining room with several seats by Windows to enjoy the nice sunny day view and they have group tables to enjoy company. A nice lady invited me to help her finish her puzzle after I was done eating. The waitress was also very nice as she busted my table. I can't speak too much on behalf of the residents here as far as living here goes, but I can say that Treeo's food here is great. It appears they have a lot of great activities for residents and visitors alike. I also know that they're involved in the community by taking field trips to fun events such as a local high school's musical production, and participating in South Ogden Days. Treeo seems like the bomb dot com. Now I just need to make some new friends with the residents here and hope they invite me over. ;)
