One of the things that I think is unique and special about this facility is the amount of plants, fish, birds, and flowers that they have brought indoors! For some who live there I imagine getting outside is not always easy, and they have found a way to bring the positive impacts of being around plants inside the building. The calming influence of nature is felt when you walk inside in addition to their friendly and personable staff. I always see the residents here engaging in fun activities! We even have started playing balloon volleyball in the memory care unit and the residents just love it!! One thing that is really cool to see is their point system, the residents get points for participating in activities, then once a month they have a point store where the residents can pick their favorite items from a "store" and spend their points! It is a big hit with the residents and it seems like they have a lot of fun. Sopa really does make an effort into putting things together for the residents. I would trust my family with this place, they would never be bored!

If you care about your loved one, I highly suggest that this facility be removed from your list of nursing facilities. Don't take my word for it. Go check it out and more than once. Make sure to check out all the different wings of the building. If you do choose this facility, know that your loved one may or may not be fed for every meal, he/she may not be bathed often, his/her clothes and other personal items will turn up missing (no one will care) and he/she might be getting sick quite often from the lack of poor nutrition, appropriate medical care and proper hygiene. There have been some good people there, but they don't stay because in the best terms, it is awful.

I felt the love from the first time I spoke with Jon Redd (one of the fantastic owners), which continued throughout my stay. It was truly magical. Unlike any other rehab. They do so many different activities to help with recovery; breath work, a cold plunge, yoga, a sound bath and so, so much more. The home is beautiful and welcoming and there is such positive energy there, it is almost surreal. It is peaceful and has great views. I felt at home and safe from the beginning. I was always respected and felt appreciated. The therapy (groups and individual) is wonderful. Of course, it gets difficult at times, but worth every tear. Don't get me wrong, we laughed so very much also during my stay! Oh, and the food! Luis is their chef. We ate like we were dining at a fine dining restaurant every meal! Luis is not "just" their chef, he is part of the Reprieve family, so of course, he is another amazing person. I was skeptical about going to an all women's facility up in the mountains, and it was the best decision I could have made! It was so lovely to see my house-mates come out of their shells and become the strong women they are. I made life long friends. I am so grateful that I stayed at Reprieve. So, so grateful. The Thatcher Brook staff was great at meeting my needs during my three month plus stay. OT and PT…read moreservices were provided each week day with PT services available on the weekend. There is a nicely equipped therapy room/gym to meet most everyone's needs. The CNA's and nurses were exceptional, timely, and very responsive. There was a wide variety of meals with alternatives also available. I was very pleased with overall care I received and would recommend Thatcher Brook Rehab and Care Center to anyone needing the services they provide.

One of our biggest frustrations was the administration. Lance repeatedly failed to return emails or communicate with all members of our family who were involved in my mother's care. When we did have interactions, I found his attitude arrogant and dismissive. When you are trusting a facility with someone you love, families deserve to be treated with respect, kept informed, and included in decisions regarding their loved one. After moving my mother from Thatcherbrook to a memory care facility, we were told that she appeared to have been overmedicated. Her catheter was removed the day she arrived at the new facility, and we have seen a significant difference in her alertness--she no longer sleeps all day. This raised serious concerns for our family about the care she received while at Thatcherbrook. Beyond our concerns about her care, I found the facility to be outdated, in need of maintenance, and not as clean or welcoming as I would expect from a rehabilitation center. Thatcherbrook was, unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I have had with a care facility. Based on my experience, I would not recommend it. Families placing a loved one in rehabilitation deserve transparency, communication, compassion, and confidence that their family member is receiving appropriate care. I did not feel that we received those things at Thatcherbrook. In fact I regret putting my mom there to begin with.

The incompetence started the day we arrived (Friday, 9/19) and is still going on this morning…read more(10/6)! There is NO supervisor available Friday nights and all day on Saturdays. There is nowhere to call and absolutely no one to help. Talk to your nurse...she was the problem! On Sundays the Director of Nursing is there. I spoke to her personally that 1st Sunday, the two sons had major complaints and received a call from the D.O.N. on the 2nd Sunday. We were all in a meeting to discuss the patient and what their prognosis was for him. The D.O.N., Director of Social Services, PT, and the Activities Leader. After the PT talked for most of the time, the Activities Leader asked the patient about his care. When he started telling about that very mornings lack of care, BOTH the D.O.N. AND D.O.S.S. WALKED OUT OF HIS ROOM! STATING THAT THEY HAD ANOTHER MEETING! THEY HAD NOT FINISHED THE MEETING THAT THEY WERE IN! I was so angry and disgusted at the fact that they left the Activity Leader alone to take our complaints, spoke VOLUMES on just how much they DON'T CARE and WHY WE ARE STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS! All we got was excuses from her and I doubt she passed anything along - with the exception of stating how RUDE they were to leave! Filled out a Grievance/Complaint/Concern Form on the 3rd Sunday! However, you turn these forms in to the Director of Social Services, YES the same one that walked out with the Director of Nursing!! My grievance form will never be seen or acknowledged! DO NOT GO THERE UNLESS YOU CAN FEND FOR YOURSELF BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING FOR YOU! CALL LIGHTS ARE ON FOR HOURS BEFORE SOMEONE FINALLY COMES!

I was going to Body Tune in Layton Utah for several months as my doctor referred me from the VA…read more Now I have been experiencing a large amount of pain in my right should as was receiving dry needling from a great gal Aja, who has relieved a lot of pain, but it is persistent. The treatment is in a contract from the VA for 6 sessions, that has a stop date and then if needed they need to resubmit for more if needed. After my last session I talked to them about this, and they said on my last appointment which was supposed to be tomorrow 8/26 they would go and submit for more services. I get a call today on the 25 telling me my services ended on the 18th of the month. do I want to cancel? I am so ticked off as I would have scheduled my appointments accordingly. This is so inept regarding the person submitting the request to the VA, as well as managing the time frame on the appointments as I am in pain all day, and night. No one at the scheduling desk knew about the end date, and neither did I. This is how this place takes care of the veterans who are in pain. I will let my referring doctor know, as well as community services. The person who takes care of the billing and submits the treatment request to the VA virtually screwed me over. I will also be calling the VA outpatient services department to make a formal complaint.

Judy at the front desk is helpful in scheduling and working out insurance. Deven Bawden is the best! He's knowledgeable, efficient, and effective. The entire staff is friendly, which makes the atmosphere a place you don't dread going. I highly recommend Body Tune for physical therapy.
