Absolute garbage. Failed to meet the basic requirements of the contract. Did not do weekly checks. Did not weedeat or blow the leaves away monthly. Paid extra to perform hot tub service including balancing and did nothing, then said adjusting chemicals did nothing. Had to travel up to drian the tub and put in new filters as a result. Missed 12 piles of frozen dog poop during after visit checks. Missed broken blinds during after visit checks. Nancy is exceptionally rude an drefuse to accept that she failed to do her job. Makes excuses and argues. Fired her. She had the gall to charge an administrative fee when refunding us for part of the remaining service period. read more

We contracted with Nancy for a new wood deck around our pool and paid way more than the going rate because we had renters arriving and it had to be done immediately. Not surprising that Mountain Services was the only company available. The workers used a tool for the first time that drilled the screws so far into the wood that it is impossible to get them out and the supposed stainless steel screws rusted within hours of installing. Nancy bullied and threatened us when we insisted that some of the work be corrected before we paid. She was worried that she couldn't pay for the new company trucks (not my problem). I was also insulted by Nancy Jones of Mountain Services, Inc. after contracting her services. I was desperate for a cleaning service for our vacation house in Wintergreen Resort that we rent out regularly. Nancy Jones lied about what a great cleaning service they are and asked for a retainer up front to cover charges as they were incurred. As soon as I paid $1,200 in prepaid services, she proceeded to charge whatever she wanted to my deposit without even telling me what she was doing. DO NOT USE MOUNTAIN SERVICES, INC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! The first major problem was I hired Nancy Jones to clean our property when it was rented and guests checkout. I emailed her to say there was a cleaning the coming weekend and she told me she did her scheduling on Sundays and that was it! Since I didn't tell her 8 days in advance, she could not clean my house! So I had to find a real cleaning service to clean the house. Nancy Jones would not return my deposit, so I tried to use her for some of the cleanings. This was worse! She sent a hot tub technician to test the hot tub. He proceeded to take apart the control panel and then told me I needed to call Valley Pool and Spa (which I already use) to fix the hot tub. Nancy Jones billed me twice $150 for this "Service" to check and break my hot tub. I had to have Valley Pool and Spa come out twice = each time the tech broke the hot tub. The next Scam was to send Chimney Sweep inspectors, roof inspectors and yard service maintenance people to do work that I did not ask for or even NEED! My yard is a mountain lot and needs no service. It's natural. MOUNTAIN SERVICES, INC is the biggest SCAM I have been taken advantage of ever. The final insult, which was the same as C.R. of Manakin-Sabot, VA was when I asked for the remainder of my balance back, she said my house was a wreck and she had to do these things to make it presentable! Have had an extremely poor experience with this company. Owner is unprofessional and rude. When work is requested you do not receive an estimate, get contacted regarding scheduling, or even told the work has been finished, but you will receive the bill! Buyer beware. I'm a realtor and deal with a lot of contractors. I'm shocked at how unprofessional the owner, Nancy was. It's a long story but I'm so glad I didn't engage her services, she was quick to tell me time and materials but gave me no scope, no ball park, no estimates of any kind. When I started asking questions she told me she had me scheduled and I wasted her time along with a few other insults in an email that, in my opinion, was an attempt to bully me into using her. Guess I asked too many questions. Who agrees to time and materials on a second home when you're not there to monitor the work or the time???
