Absolute garbage. Failed to meet the basic requirements of the contract. Did not do weekly checks. Did not weedeat or blow the leaves away monthly. Paid extra to perform hot tub service including balancing and did nothing, then said adjusting chemicals did nothing. Had to travel up to drian the tub and put in new filters as a result. Missed 12 piles of frozen dog poop during after visit checks. Missed broken blinds during after visit checks. Nancy is exceptionally rude an drefuse to accept that she failed to do her job. Makes excuses and argues. Fired her. She had the gall to charge an administrative fee when refunding us for part of the remaining service period. read more

We contracted with Nancy for a new wood deck around our pool and paid way more than the going rate because we had renters arriving and it had to be done immediately. Not surprising that Mountain Services was the only company available. The workers used a tool for the first time that drilled the screws so far into the wood that it is impossible to get them out and the supposed stainless steel screws rusted within hours of installing. Nancy bullied and threatened us when we insisted that some of the work be corrected before we paid. She was worried that she couldn't pay for the new company trucks (not my problem). Her workmen continued to apologize for her behavior. Scary to think that she is still in business. read more

YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED: DO NOT USE MOUNTAIN SERVICES, INC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! Wow! I agree with C. R. of Manakin-Sabot, VA. You are right on target. I was also insulted by Nancy Jones of Mountain Services, Inc. after contracting her services. I was desperate for a cleaning service for our vacation house in Wintergreen Resort that we rent out regularly. Nancy Jones lied about what a great cleaning service they are and asked for a retainer up front to cover charges as they were incurred. As soon as I paid $1,200 in prepaid services, she proceeded to charge whatever she wanted to my deposit without even telling me what she was doing. DO NOT USE MOUNTAIN SERVICES, INC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! The first major problem was I hired Nancy Jones to clean our property when it was rented and guests checkout. I emailed her to say there was a cleaning the coming weekend and she told me she did her scheduling on Sundays and that was it! Since I didn't tell her 8 days in advance, she could not clean my house! So I had to find a real cleaning service to clean the house. Nancy Jones would not return my deposit, so I tried to use her for some of the cleanings. This was worse! She sent a hot tub technician to test the hot tub. He proceeded to take apart the control panel and then told me I needed to call Valley Pool and Spa (which I already use) to fix the hot tub. Nancy Jones billed me twice $150 for this "Service" to check and break my hot tub. I had to have Valley Pool and Spa come out twice = each time the tech broke the hot tub. The next Scam was to send Chimney Sweep inspectors, roof inspectors and yard service maintenance people to do work that I did not ask for or even NEED! My yard is a mountain lot and needs no service. It's natural. MOUNTAIN SERVICES, INC is the biggest SCAM I have been taken advantage of ever. The final insult, which was the same as C.R. of Manakin-Sabot, VA was when I asked for the remainder of my balance back, she said my house was a wreck and she had to do these things to make it presentable! Meanwhile, I get nothing but 5 star reviews! I am THE Premier VRBO renter in Wintergreen. YOU HAVE BEEN FOREWARNED: DO NOT USE MOUNTAIN SERVICES, INC UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! read more

Nancy Jones, the owner, seems to be prejudiced. Rude, ignorant, arrogant comes to mind. Several clients have also expressed their disappointment with mountsin services. Please check Google for other reviews starting in 2016 read more

Have had an extremely poor experience with this company. Owner is unprofessional and rude. When work is requested you do not receive an estimate, get contacted regarding scheduling, or even told the work has been finished, but you will receive the bill! I have never experienced such substandard customer service. read more

Buyer beware. I'm a realtor and deal with a lot of contractors. I'm shocked at how unprofessional the owner, Nancy was. It's a long story but I'm so glad I didn't engage her services, she was quick to tell me time and materials but gave me no scope, no ball park, no estimates of any kind. When I started asking questions she told me she had me scheduled and I wasted her time along with a few other insults in an email that, in my opinion, was an attempt to bully me into using her. Guess I asked too many questions. Who agrees to time and materials on a second home when you're not there to monitor the work or the time??? Read other reviews on google before you choose this contractor. If I could give no stars I would. read more

Nancy and Jeff have been our service providers since their predecessor retired, approximately four years ago. They are professional, hard working, multi-talented, responsive and fantastic in every way. They have exceptional ethics and character in their dealings with their clients. They have helped us with every possible problem a mountain homeowner can have -- from a driveway repair to snow removal to routine maintainence to more complext problems -- and have always done so at a reasonable price and with great service. Then nothing. After a few more messages checking in, he said there was a family medical situation. I gave him space, and here we are two weeks and yet another text message to him later, and nothing. I contacted Miller Plumbing Solutions through Angi to get a quote for installing an outdoor spigot on my new home. Before reaching out, I had researched typical costs and found most estimates in the $500-$800 range. When Miller Plumbing came out, they told me the job would be straightforward due to easy basement access and the location of the existing plumbing. They even mentioned they could drill through wood instead of concrete to help keep costs down. Despite describing it as an easy job, their quote came in at nearly $1,500. After I explained that was well beyond my budget, they removed some items and lowered the estimate to around $900, but said they couldn't go any lower. I was also told that while a handyman might be cheaper, I wouldn't find a licensed and insured plumber who could do the work for less. I declined the estimate and later mentioned it to a neighbor, who recommended Cory Claytor of Claytor Plumbing. Cory came by, looked at the project, and immediately told me the previous quote was outrageous. He completed the installation in just over an hour, drilled through the concrete rather than the wood to avoid damaging my siding, and charged just under $500. He is fully licensed and insured. Cory and his daughter, who assisted with the job, were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and fair. The quality of the work was excellent, and the price was exactly what I would expect for a straightforward installation. Based on my experience, I felt that Miller Plumbing Solutions was attempting to charge far more than was reasonable for this project. On the other hand, Claytor Plumbing delivered outstanding service, quality workmanship, and honest pricing. If you're looking for a plumber who treats customers fairly, I highly recommend Cory Claytor and Claytor Plumbing.

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! I paid Dillon for new parts and service, and never received the new parts, a…read moreresponse, or a project completion. I paid the asking price for buying the parts and installing them (new front and rear brakes, front and rear rotors, windshield wipers) for one vehicle, and a throttle body (part only at that point) for another vehicle. NEVER repaired the throttle body. Removed it, 2 other parts were broken during the removal process, left that vehicle in parts in my yard with the engine cover missing. Then stated he would need to take the entire rear part of my motor off (and maybe another part), it would be a 2 day job, he needed to order a part that could only be purchased from the manufacturer, that part would take 2 weeks to arrive, would cost $2000 due to tariffs, and he could get it all finished for 2500-2800 when parts arrived. I questioned the continued increase in the price and was told it was because of tariffs and no place has the plastic part only the manufacturer. ALL of that regarding the necessary parts or how to fix the throttle body was incorrect. I ordered new parts for the ones that were broken (they were not broken before the old throttle body was removed) for less than $200, and the repair was done in a couple of hours for no where near what Dillon was stating he would charge. NEVER replaced any rotor or the front brakes for the other vehicle despite stating the rear rotors were replaced when the rear brakes were replaced. He only replaced the rear brakes (and they started making noise less than a week later--never made any noise prior and I stated I needed brakes and rotors based on my visual inspection of them and that is how i knew the rotors were never replaced--I looked the following morning). Stated there are 2 different types of front brakes for my vehicle, and he purchased the wrong ones despite entering the VIN in to search for parts. That also is incorrect--you type the vehicle information into the system, and there are different brands for brakes, but not different types (he said one type had 2 prongs and the other had 3 prongs). He stated that if I paid him for the parts (and he showed me some price list on his phone), he would drive to my work the next morning and repair my brakes so that I could get it inspected on the way home from work. That never happened. I never heard anything until after I sent emails and texts stating I was very concerned because I paid for the parts and install, but had not heard anything. Hours later he responded and stated he would be heading my way after he finished an alternator job. He never came or responded again that day/evening. I reached out again the following day inquiring about when the work would be done since I had paid for the parts and install already. He came late that day and then only "replaced" the rear brakes, but said rear brakes and rotors were replaced. After not repairing the brakes and rotors as paid for, he told me to take my vehicle to a shop in Churchville for a state inspection since the person working there "knew his [Dillon's] work and doesn't really check anything for the inspections, so it will be a guaranteed pass and will save you in the long run". I just want a refund for the parts and services I paid for and never received or give me the parts that I paid for and never received and refund for the install fee that was paid upfront as asked. They do not respond to texts or emails and the voicemail is full, so you cannot leave a message.

He was willing to come out in the dark cold night to repair my son's car. Unfortunately he couldn't fix it that night because a major part had to be ordered. Since it was close to Christmas we had to wait for the part. The part arrived after Christmas and Dillon came back out and installed the part. Dillon had the car up and running in no time. It is almost mid January and the car is doing good! Dillon not only fixed the car, but the compassion he showed towards my son and family was genuine. Dillon is not your average mechanic. He is very knowledgeable and caring. I will recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dillon for your time and hard work.
