Adam was extremely helpful and patient in recommending equipment. I left more educated and happy with my new ski gear!

The owner, Frank, is probably the most knowledgeable person I have ever come across when it comes to ski/board equipment.

You'll find serious ski apparel labels like Helly Hansen, The North Face, Bogner, 686, Armada, Cotopaxi, Kari Traa, Obermeyer, Spyder, Smartwool, and Patagonia. These brands are known for technical ski jackets, waterproof shells, base layers, and insulation built for real alpine conditions, which is why people who actually ski in Colorado recognize them immediately. They also carry top-tier ski and snowboard equipment brands that serious riders trust, including Atomic, Blizzard, Black Crows, Rossignol, Salomon, K2, Nordica, Head, Volkl, Fischer, Dynastar, and Lib Tech. That combination of high-end apparel and performance gear is what sets Christy Sports apart from many other outdoor stores in the area. It's not trying to be everything for everyone. It's a focused mountain outfitter where skiers and snowboarders can find the brands and expertise they actually need.

Uli readily listened to my concerns, was determined to make my boots right, and did not make the process feel rushed at all despite it being a very busy time of year. He was endlessly knowledgeable and let me pick his brain about boots and skiing, was kind, an excellent communicator, friendly, and very professional. Uli had me thinking about this tremendously positive exchange all the way home and how grateful I was for him to take the time and effort so that I could ski comfortably in my boots. Thanks to Uli's outstanding customer service, I will definitely be back in the store should I need any further assistance or gear. Thank you SO much!!! Well done!

Reminded him by text 4 days in advance and he again assured me they would be ready. Day of, at noon, I went to pick up the skis and they were not ready, but he said if I came back at 5p (just before my flight) he would be done. Went back at 5p and they were not done. After swearing at me that he had too many f**ing tasks to do and too many customers so it wasn't his fault he said he could finish the tune while I waited for 10min and charged me full price. When I brought my skis in days later to adjust the bindings I was informed by a the new shop that "the skis have not been touched at all, the edges are so dull I can safely run my finger with pressure, there are 4-5 core shots needing repair for safety reasons, there is no basework, no grinding, and no wax." This shop charged half of Snow Hut and did a professional job and a full tune that you can see and feel. I have called my credit card company to revoke the charge since no work was done on the skis.

The experience was stress free, accommodating and we even shared some laughs. This is not the first time I've had a very good experience there and I should have written a review sooner. This is a place that makes you proud to live here in Evergreen. My friends from Brazil enjoyed their experience so much they insisted upon coming with me to return the equipment so they could shop. Again, the young lady that helped us was amazing, wish I would have remembered to get her name.

I've never thought one ski shop was better than another. Buyer beware, I've always said. Wrong. This place has my business now, now matter where I live. I went in to ask about demo-ing some skis I'd read about. I'm a 63 year-old expert woman skier. Riley listened, paid attention and made some suggestions. I'm thrilled because now I am the proud owner of the Stoëckli Nela 88s and the Roxa boots I never had even heard of. Pricey? You bet. Worth it? Absolutely. Riley said I'd make it good if I didn't like the equipment. He won't get these back over my dead body. I'm skiing better at my age now than I've ever skied. Sounds like hyperbole? Believe whatever you want. I'm just sayin'.

I had heard about Scheels for years but never stepped inside one. A friend of mine from Minnesota…read moreused to drive past the huge Scheels billboards whenever I visited, and for some reason I assumed it was more of a farm supply type place where people bought machinery and work clothes. Because of that completely wrong assumption, I never bothered to go in. Fast forward a few years and after reading the reviews here in Colorado I finally decided I had to see it for myself. Yesterday, March 6th, the weather was miserable. Cold, windy, light snow and rain. Not the kind of day you want to be outside, let alone skiing. So I figured it was the perfect day to finally give Scheels a try. I ended up spending five hours in the store and taking more than 250 photos, and this place absolutely blew my mind. There were sports and equipment sections I didn't even know existed. The store truly has everything you could possibly need and then some. What impressed me most was the staff. They were knowledgeable and helpful but didn't hover every five seconds like some stores do, which allowed me to really explore and absorb everything. The shoe selection was outstanding with every kind of running shoe, ski boot, work boot and outdoor footwear you could imagine, and the shoe staff were clearly well trained helping customers. I also spent about 45 minutes in the luggage section, which was surprisingly impressive. It's clearly a curated department run by someone who truly understands travel. I spoke with a luggage specialist who I believe is from Asia and a serious world traveler herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately understood what I meant when I told her I was tired of hard-sided luggage and wanted something built for an active lifestyle. She introduced me to a beautiful 100-liter Patagonia rolling duffel with durable wheels, strong zippers, and soft-sided construction that can actually handle real travel. These types of bags come with lifetime guarantees on the wheels and zippers, and now I'm officially saving my pennies to buy one. The store itself was alive and buzzing with families, couples, hunters, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts everywhere. The only section that felt a little thin was the women's golf apparel where most of the XS sizes were gone, while the men's golf section was very well stocked. Parking was plentiful and easy. Scheels isn't just a sporting goods store. It's an experience.

Colorado gifts, Denver broncos, nuggets, and avalanche collectibles. Hunting, fishing, guns, ammo, knives, barbecue supplies, a sportsman's dream come true. I was blown away by the customer service, kindness, and kindness professionalism of these owner-operators. I just wish it were a little closer to my house.
