I love the bear peak part of Attitash and this allows for quick access to the lifts and we were able to take the shuttle to the Bear Den for a drink after our ski day also and it was a very short walk back afterwards. I loved that the room had a stove and basic cooking supplies and the cafeteria on the second floor had a delicious breakfast sandwich. In the future I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed to be close to hiking trails and Attitash rides. Unfortunately the alpine slides were closed due to maintenance, but that gave us more time to enjoy the huge outdoor pool. The base of Mt. Washington is about 35 minutes from the hotel. North Conway is about 20 minutes and offers grocery stores, breweries, shopping and restaurants. Lincoln is also about a half an hour ride, which takes you along the beautifully scenic Bear Notch road and Kancamagus highway. Grand Summit offers comfortable and spacious rooms with balconies, fully equipped kitchens, multiple bathrooms, cable tv's, roomy living rooms and large dining areas. Assistance is just a phone call or steps away. Exceptionally clean and well kept hotel that hasn't faded since my first stay back in 2011.

With the passing of my Dad (he and Mom also had always wanted to stay here but could never afford it), I said charge it!! and booked an overnight stay. So glad I did. It was every bit as magical as I thought and the snowing during our stay made it even more so. The history, attention to detail, preservation, detail Oriented caring staff all led to an amazing stay I will never forget.

We booked a New Year's Eve stay for our family--three young children and my pregnant wife--and made that clear when reserving. Our room wasn't ready until after 4 PM, and when we were finally placed, it was directly above the ballroom hosting the New Year's Eve party. The noise was relentless for hours and made it impossible for our children to sleep. After multiple calls to the front desk, I spoke with the manager, Thea Ritchey, who told us the hotel "always throws a New Year's Eve party," was fully booked, and there was nothing she could do. Her suggestion was essentially "if you can't beat them, join them." With no resolution offered, we packed up our kids and drove over three hours back to Boston in snowy conditions that night. One stay was enough to end a family tradition--we won't be returning.

Our room was stunning. My fiancé pre planned and had rose petals, candles, and champagne all set up by the staff for us. (Additional charge). There was a hot tub for two, a shower for two, and a nice additional seating area. In the morning there was fresh orange juice, coffee, and homemade options such as muffins and pastries. There were also some yogurt, fruit, and granola. Saturday night there was a complimentary cheese and wine night! They offered a mixed variety of cheeses, meats, and crackers. They also had two wine options, and a non alcoholic bubbly option. There was a huge almost pool sized hot tub, which could easily fit 16-20 people. They keep the water at a mild temperature, so that all can enjoy. On site, there was also an enormous work out room and an infrared sauna. There were quite a few amenities in the work out room - including a putting mat, a golf swing machine, a full body massage chair, a foot massager, and countless other options. We would recommended this place to any and everyone. The famous mulled cider candles are available for 21$ to purchase, we got a few. Having gone to the North Conway area for 10+ years - I can comfortably say that this place is a hidden gem. We will definitely be back.

We also enjoyed all the sitting areas in the lobby and patio and played some games of pool in the basement. One morning we walked around the walking trails and visited the animals at the farm which was really neat. Sadly we wanted to do axe throwing on our last day and the schedule had said it was planned for the morning but when we went to the activity center they informed us that it was actually in the afternoon so we weren't able to participate after all due to our plans. I also used the spa for a facial and it was lovely! We were a bit disappointed at the breakfast service. The breakfast was included in our stay since we booked directly through the hotel website. But every morning the breakfast service was a zoo- there was a line out the door and the servers were obviously very understaffed and were just trying to do their best. The breakfast is a buffet style and honestly it wasn't really well laid out and the food was often not replenished (probably because of the understaffing). The food was OK and by the end of our visit I was dreading going to breakfast because of the disorganization. I'd consider staying here again for the gorgeous views but will probably skip the restaurant experience.
