I came here with my Husband before we had kids and was expecting myself to have to eat in the room to keep my feral kids out of the way of the guests, but that could not have been further from the truth! Stayed at the Omni with my three kids, 5 and under, and in laws for a few nights and had an incredible experience. As soon as we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly. Nick gave our kids a very warm welcome and handed them all super nice kids welcome bags. He was also the last person we saw when we left and he did a great job, super friendly! The resort has plenty of outdoor areas for the kids to run around and get some energy out. The indoor pool was perfect for kids. Only went up to 4 ft and there was a 1.5 ft wading area for the babies. There is a toy store on site in case you want to get the kids something. Of course the arcade was a huge hit for our kids. All of our meals were wonderful. We had the best servers. Elena, Peter, Dilek were awesome. Elena made us feel so special and treated me and my mother in law so well! Adam was super helpful and always hustlin around the covered porch area. After the kids were asleep we were able to sneak out to the Conservatory bar (beautiful views of the mountains) and Ben made delicious drinks. Overall we loved it, highly recommend for families, and we will definitely be back. Thank you Omni team!

What we experienced instead was an absolute disgrace. When we opened the curtains of our expensive suite, we were greeted not by the majestic White Mountains, but by garbage cans, dumpsters, HVAC units, and an unsightly service/utility yard. At no point during booking or check-in was it disclosed that our high-tier family suite would overlook the hotel's back-of-house trash operations. When we brought this to management's attention, expecting basic empathy and a reasonable resolution, the response was shockingly dismissive. The staff was completely unaccommodating, and the manager was entirely unempathetic and uncooperative. Rather than trying to make things right or move us to a acceptable room, the manager blatantly told us that if we didn't like our accommodations, we could always just check out. To add insult to injury, after making us feel thoroughly unvalidated and ignored, the manager offered a insulting token compensation: waiving a single night's $50 resort fee on a stay costing over $800 per night. This stay was a complete and total disappointment. The quality of the accommodations and the terrible attitude of management were completely inconsistent with Omni's reputation and nowhere near worth the price we paid. Save your money and stay somewhere that actually values its guests.

My husband's daughter and her fiancée, with assorted friends, have been going up to our house in Jackson ever since they started dating in high school, 11 years ago. So, they decided to get married at the Wentworth and asked if they could finish off their wedding celebrations with a Mimosa gathering at the house the day after the wedding. My husband and I readily agreed and planned the get together to a tee. But the saying, "Wanna make God laugh? Make plans..." definitely applied to us. The week before the wedding, my husband's company had problems with an install of their product at a customer site that was taking forever to resolve. When the Tuesday before the wedding rolled around with no resolution in sight, it became clear we would not make it up to the house in time to prepare for Sunday. I began to call around to all of the restaurants in the area to see if someone could cater that Sunday. The Tuesday before. I did not hold out much hope. However, the White Mountain Cider Company recommended I try the Bernerhof. I called, explained our situation, and was told that helping us would not be an issue. Nick listened to what I had planned for that morning and then made recommendations based on that. He was extremely helpful, reasonable and accommodating. He offered to provide silverware, chairs, tablecloths and napkins. Plus, he delivered everything that morning along with a trash can, which he would pick up and discard in the hotel's dumpster for us. The price for all of this was beyond reasonable. On Sunday, everything was as planned. Drop off happened on time, the food was crazy delicious and the trash can was removed that night. The food was so good, when I asked guests to take the few dessert type foods that remained, not one declined. Two couples even asked if they could have more because the drive back was long and, while eating, their kids were quiet. Everything Nick did for us allowed my husband and I to concentrate on preparing the Mimosa bar. I highly recommend working with the Bernerhof for any occasion you might be planning!

We've typically enjoyed ourselves but it seems like over the last couple of years we've been running into some issues. While I usually try to give the benefit of the doubt, some of the issues we faced this year were more difficult to overlook. I will start by saying that the resort has a lot to offer. It's a large property with multiple buildings. They've got entire suites for groups that include full kitchens and jetted tubs. There is a heated outdoor pool with a hot tub, an indoor pool with two hot tubs and a sauna. There's a small game room, an onsite restaurant, sporting facilities and play areas for kids and families. They've got a lot going for them. Unfortunately, despite all of this it seems like several areas have been lacking recently, including both services/amenities and general maintenance/upkeep of the place. Upon arriving and settling in for this most recent stay we noticed that much of the glassware in our kitchen was dirty. You could literally see the dried up stains where other people had put their mouths. Needless to say we were pretty grossed out by that. For the better part of our stay we were finding live yellow jackets/wasps in our room, which I've been petrified of ever since being stung for the first time a few years ago. During our weeklong stay we ended up finding and having to kill probably around eight of them at the very least. Come to find out there was a very small nest wedged between the sliding patio door and the screen door, but we didn't realize it was there until it was too late. We had to call the office twice about it. After the second call we did notice maintenance come near our patio and spray something over the window, but nobody came to directly talk to us when we were told that they would. Not sure if there was another hive close by that we weren't aware of, but after this we were still finding live bees in our room so we took matters into our own hands and ended up having to go buy some Raid. For the last two stays there were issues with both of the pools. Last year both the outdoor and indoor pools were shut down for at least a few days. They did seem to rush getting the inside pool operating, but I think that was mostly because the outside pool might've been closed the majority of that week if not for the entire week. This year on the other hand, the indoor pool was closed for the entire week we were there. The outdoor pool was open but the heater for it was down until our last full day, and the weather in mid September can be a little chilly for outdoor swimming, especially without heat. Additionally, the heat in the outdoor hot tub also stopped working this time around. I heard later that my mother-in-law mentioned some of these issues to the main office when checking out. On a positive note they did say that they want to offer a few free nights for next time, which was very generous of them. Despite some of the issues we had it looks as if they're doing some updating and trying to make changes around the resort, so I'm trying my best to cut them a little bit of slack here. We still tried our best to make the most of our vacation this year, so I can only hope for the best next year.
