We had the most lovely weekend staying here for our anniversary in March. It was our first time at a bed and breakfast and I think we were spoiled! The owners were so nice and gave us a quick tour of the place. We were impressed with the cleanliness. Not a speck of dirt to be found! We were delighted to have an end room with our fire place on the top floor. So comfortable! Breakfast was a delight. We were able to choose from a few juices, had coffee and a few menu options. My husband had eggs and I had the stuffed maple walnut French toast. So amazing! Convenient location down the street from North Conway. We will be back again! read more

Jessica is the sweetest and yes indeed her breakfast is delish. I told her we were staying for a wedding and they accommodated us so nicely; early check-in, private entrance, card for a taxi, etc. We even joined a couple from London for breakfast. It really was the typical perfect cozy/homey New England B&B experience. I wish we had more time to spend with them and in the area. I couldn't have imagined going anywhere else to celebrate my anniversary with my boyfriend. This was such a beautful bed & breakfast. The owners, Jessica & Bruce, are so kind and helpful. The breakfast that Jessica cooked in the morning was so delicious! She made the BEST Maple Walnut Stuffed French Toast I've ever had! She had snacks throughout the day and they were great as well. The room we stayed in on the first floor had a jacuzzi and it was definitely a nice way to unwind after going skiing. I will definitely return here someday :) read more

Quite last minute, I found out I had a Friday off from work. I imeediatly searched for a place to stay in North Conway, our favorite getaway (I'm from Boston). They had an opening (and a cheap one, at that)! We booked, and arrived that Friday afternoon. As soon as we arrived, we got a tour from Bruce, who showed us the lounge, living rooms, dining room...and introduced us to Jessica and Fanny Price! Everyone and everything was so nice. Our room was extremely floral, and clean and gorgeous! I couldn't get over how nice everything was...for such a great price. We only stayed for one night, but I can tell we'll end up staying here again. My two favorite things about the Inn (aside from their adorable black lab), was involved how hospitalable the Inn was. Breakfast, which comes with your room, is served in the dining room. Feel free to join a couple at their table, or to wait with your coffee in the living room until a table is free. Your choices include omelets, eggs, french toast (my fiance's fav), and pancakes, which include meat, toast and fruit. My second favorite part, was when I asked to directions to Cathedral Ledge. Jessica brought out a full pamphlet of a "loop tour" they designed. That day, we saw 3 waterfalls, drove to the top of Cathedral Ledge (amazing views), and found some cute new neighborhoods. Worst customer service I've experienced in a very long time. Pros: Quaint Comfortable beds and couches Clean Cons: Upon arrival, the owner greeted us. Everyone was all smiles. We asked if we could possibly get a room that is in the back since the house sits on a relatively busy road. The owner snapped at us: "Can I at least go check first!?" He came back and continued to be rude and short with us, demanding that we follow him around the house and don't speak until he was finished. We run a business and know the stresses. It is never acceptable no matter how stressed you are personally to take it out on your customers. There are a lot of options in this town to sleep so we will never be back here again, unless management changes. It is in fact a shame because the place itself is nice enough to return, but being greeted and treated with negativity that we then have to spend our energy to shake off and not let it ruin our day during our rare vacation is not even close to worth the money. With the currently 15 five-star reviews on here, we either caught the owner on a very bad day, or dozens of other people who have also had bad experiences just don't leave reviews. read more

My girlfriend and I stayed with Bruce and Jessica for three nights at the tail end of foliage season. We absolutely adored this Bed and Breakfast! I would highly recommend the room with the private entrance, where you can simply park your car right next to the door and come and go with ease. Jessica's daily breakfasts were amazing. Her french toast was a major highlight for the both my girlfriend and I. Bruce was very knowledgeable and helpful to us throughout our entire stay. Any time I would mention an idea we had, he'd come back a few minutes later with a map of the area and options for us. The Cabernet Inn is all about the small things and fine touches that make the B&B experience stand apart from just staying at any ole hotel. If we are ever back in the North Conway area again, there is no doubt we would stay with Bruce and Jessica. Staying anywhere else wouldn't even come to mind. read more

This was our first try at a B&B and we were beyond impressed. Bruce and Jessica are wonderful, attentive, and friendly hosts. Rooms are cozy and clean, and there are plenty of amenities to make you feel at home. They also offer lots of information about the surrounding area, restaurants, hikes etc. The breakfast every morning - oh, the breakfast! Jessica is an amazing chef. The B&B is right on the main road in N. Conway and provides excellent access to downtown as well as the delicious Moat Mountain Brewpub. We only stayed for a couple of days and were sad to leave. We've already recommended this place to several of our family members and friends. We'll definitely be back. read more

This was my first time at a bed and breakfast. Our stay was short, but it was one of the most amazing experiences ever. We got there a little late, and Bruce was right at the door to greet us and show us around, which was so nice. Our room was a fireplace room and absolutely perfect! Best Inn in the world! My husband and I have stayed at the Cabernet Inn now 4 years in a row. Jessica and Bruce, owners and inn keepers, are incredible! The Inn is in tip top shape - very clean, cozy, and comforting. We are always greeted at the door like we are long lost friends. Every year we get the fireplace or jacuzzi rooms with the alpine ski and dinner package. Jessica's breakfasts are award winning... her maple walnut stuffed french toast is amazing. We spent the weekend here in December. It was a lovely place. We stayed in one of the basic rooms but it was still nice. As some of the other reviewers mentioned, there are no tvs in the rooms so we brought some games and had a great time playing them in the comfy common room downstairs. The breakfast was amazing and made to order with a different special each morning. They are also more than accommodating to dietary needs with a special breakfast menu and mid afternoon snack. We've stayed here several times. We won't stay anywhere else. Jessica and Bruce are terrific people that are committed to delivering an outstanding product each time. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well appointed. The food is great. Breakfast is always perfect and plentiful. There are snacks,coffee and tea available off hours which is cool. The fireplace common room is fun as well. They both offer advice on local sights and restaurants and go out of there way to make your stay great. It's not a stuffy b&b experience, but a relaxed professionally run inn that keeps us coming back. read more

My boyfriend Rich and I stayed here last weekend as a quick get-away from Boston. We had a great time and can't wait to come back! Breakfast by Chef and Co-Owner, Jessica was delicious. Her Spring Asparagus Omelet Special provided a great base for all of the hiking trails that Co-Owner, Bruce sent us on. There IS no other place to stay in North Conway than the Cabernet Inn. One of my very favorite places on earth. Bruce and Jessica are like old friends, and Miss Fanny Brice is my newest furry friend! Jessica makes the best breakfast and they are both so warm and friendly. The Inn is decorated beautifully and our favorite room has a Jacuzzi and gas stove with a private entrance - it just doesn't get any better than that! There's a great "family room" with a fireplace, couches, TV, fridge for your wine, all the cocktail/drinking glasses you need. It's in a great location away from "downtown" but close enough to everything. It's a beautiful inn! read more

Loved this place. The room was simple and small, but you're not in the area to hang out in a hotel room. If you do want to hang out, there's a great space in the basement. The owners will even lend you growlers to go fill down the street at Moat Mountain (saves you a few bucks). Great breakfasts, and the innkeepers were really nice. read more

There are some bed and breakfasts where you get a skimpy muffin and coffee in the morning and then have to go out for a full breakfast-- this is NOT one of those places! Our breakfasts both days were delicious and filling. Jessica's maple walnut stuffed French toast was one of the best breakfasts I have ever eaten. Amazing! Bruce and Jessica are such lovely innkeepers, so friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make their guests' stays special. Jessica even bought vegetarian sausage for sunday when someone declined both breakfast meats on Saturday. Bruce had great recommendations of where to snowshoe and even gave us some free snowshoe passes to a local trail system. We picked this place due to its convenient location walking distance from Moat Mountain. It is a reasonably priced, spotless and charming inn, but what really makes it special are the owners and those breakfasts. We'll be back! read more

The Cabernet Inn was wonderful. My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 2nd anniversary for the weekend. We were greeted by the owner Bruce who showed us around the inn and was very helpful. We got to our room and found it to be very cute and comfy, The only draw back - no television! We were shocked to not find a television in our bedroom. Although there is a 'gathering room' right down the hallway from our room with a television/DVD/VCR. I just wish we would've have known so we would've known to bring our laptop. Thank God for the radio in the room that we listened to mostly the whole time. Other than that, the place was great. Very quiet and relaxing. Breakfast (which is cooked from scratch by the other owner, Jessica) was amazing. The kitchen is right off of the dining room so you can practically watch her make your breakfast. I highly recommend the maple walnut stuffed french toast. I really liked this place and I think we will be back again one day, with our laptop! read more

This was both mine and my husbands first stay at a Bed and Breakfast/Inn rather than a larger chain hotel. From the moment we walked in the door, Bruce and Jessica (and Cleo!) made us feel right at home, and treated us like one of the family. They gave us a tour of the beautifully restored inn, and pointed us in the direction of all the information we could possibly need for an exciting weekend in the white mountains. We were there for a 2 night stay for a wedding nearby. The room was beautiful, and private. It had a jacuzzi tub in the bathroom that was beyond romantic for what we were looking for. Our room had a private entrance around the back with a patio and a table and chairs, which is where I very much enjoyed my morning coffee before the OUTSTANDING breakfast made by Jessica herself in the gourmet kitchen. The breakfast is for sure reason enough to stay at the Cabernet Inn. Jessica is an amazing cook, and everyone should try the french toast and the french toast special - Maple Walnut Stuffed French Toast.
