I've heard about Mountain Creek for decades and finally tried it this season. Will not be going back! Check out Plattekill, Belleayre, Jiminy Peak, Butternut, Thunder Ridge in the area instead for more family friendly fun easy going experience. I've never been to a ski place with so many slopes filled with people stopped in place or falling all around! There seemed to be so many people skiing there who never had lessons but are still on the blue slopes. The left side of the mountain is filled with snowboarders. I was in super busy lift line with probably 95% snowboarders - mostly young young guys. First time I went there I ended up in a terrain park that had not much space on either side of the jumps. I was terrified one of the teenagers or 20 some things would go way too fast and jump on me or my kids! So many snowboarders on the mountain also means a lot of snow being pushed around the slopes so more mogul type on every slope lol. I find it a very scary crowded place for families esp with small children learning. The main lodge is far too crowded on the weekend. Think Rockefeller Plaza during the holidays. There's another lodge where you can eat also, it's at the bottom of the left side of the mountain where the terrain parks are. The one star is for the sauerkraut hotdog which was pretty good. Make sure to book the $20 parking at the front online - it's worth it! We never did it, fully booked so ended up walking crazy far with our ski gear ski boots on. We don't mind walking like that normally at most resorts, but this one is a big no. I felt done before starting skiing. For absolute beginner lessons, smallest children, this place might be OK. And there's a place to sit outside if it's not too cold out that overlooks the learning area where you can get drinks and sometimes there's a DJ. The staff at the lift chairs were excellent though. They seemed to be watching carefully and helping more than other area resorts! read more

This was my first time visiting Mountain Creek. I usually go to Pennsylvania for snow tubing and snowboarding, but since Mountain Creek is much closer, we decided to try it out. My sister came in from Florida for the weekend, and my nephews had never seen snow before, so we thought this would be the perfect and most convenient place to take them. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The staff was rude and not very welcoming, which set the tone for the day. The biggest issue was the snow tubing lines. Although you're given a two-hour time slot, we only went down about 4 times because the wait was so long. We were waiting 30 to 45 minutes just to go down once, which felt excessive and frustrating. read more

Went to Mountain Creek (South Lodge entrance). It's convenient because it's closer to the parking lot and you don't have to climb up and down like the main entrance. However, the overall experience was disappointing. It was too warm that day, and the snow conditions were poor. The entrance area had large puddles of water. I wouldn't recommend this mountain for beginners. The beginner lift lines were extremely long, and one of the lifts requires taking off your skis to load. The advanced trails had shorter lines but were very short runs -- about two minutes to the bottom. The lifts themselves are outdated and uncomfortable, with no proper footrests. Restrooms were limited, required going upstairs, were not automatic, and had a strong odor. Even though it's close, this will probably be my last time coming here. read more

As a family of very infrequent and very average skiers, this has been our mountain of choice ever since I was a kid. Most likely because of proximity, but it's also just a solid place to spend the day! I came back for the first time in probably 3 or 4 years and had such a fun and nostalgic day. I honestly forgot what a great local mountain it is! And all of the updates they've made over the years are noticeable. -Lines for the lifts move relatively quickly. -Slopes and courses for any and every level. -Never too far from someone that works there if you have questions or need assistance. -Mountains are clean!! -The inside lodge can get super packed, but we were able to find a few seats at a table and even at the bar upstairs quickly. -The food (from the bar upstairs, not the cafeteria style spot downstairs) was really good! We got a beet salad with grilled chicken & a chicken wrap and were so pleasantly surprised by both. We also got lots and lots of hot toddies (for warming up!) and although expensive, hit the spot. If you are renting like me, just keep in mind this is not a quick or easy process. It took us about an hour to get all of our gear from boots to skis. I do love that they have you put the boots on with them there, so no more running back after you realize you got the wrong size. We all ended up getting the 3 pack (3 full days and 3 rentals for $225) and it felt like a pretty solid deal. Happy to have gotten back into skiing and reminded that Mountain Creek is one of my favorite places to go for the day. read more

I had pretty low expectations when we came here to ski but I actually had a solidly good time. They have a decent mix of green, blue, and black slopes and the runs are relatively long. It was pretty busy on the weekend but the lines moved relatively fast. All in all, it's pretty average ever but a decent option for some leisurely skiing from NYC. read more

My school came here for our senior trip, amazing. They took care of us the entire time. The customer service was on 10. The kids had a blast and were able to enjoy skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing. No one interacted with us rudely at all, even though teenagers can be a lot lol. We left satisfied and I enjoyed the facilities. read more

We parked for free in the front lot of Mountain Creek Resort in Vernon, New Jersey and looked at all of the current stickers - on the back and front of the sign. Most stickers were from New Jersey... I've read so many bad reviews about Mountain Creek that my expectations were low, but I was pleasantly surprised. One thing you NEED to understand about me, I don't give five stars out easily or lightly because I fully believe everything can be bettered upon. General Parking is free across the street from North Lodge (main area) & South Lodge (terrain park area). Some complain about the North Lodge walk, but it's scenic and manageable. PRICE Weekday tickets: $90; Weekend/Holiday: $119.99. Twilight tickets start at 3 PM ($59.99-$69.99). The best deal is the Triple Play card ($159.99 + fees) for 3 anytime lift tickets. Mountain Creek is worth the price. Cheap experiences often lead to poor conditions and injuries. Running a ski resort is expensive, and Mountain Creek invests in quality. FOOD & BATHROOMS At one point in time, our friends, my boyfriend and I took a break at The Biergarten. They had some beers that they enjoyed, while I got myself a free cup of water. We ate at The Kink, at the end of our day, and everything was delicious. I recommend their Cajun Red Fish fries. We devoured them and ordered more. The 4 Cheese Mac & Cheese and Beer Battered Cod were also excellent. I've heard great things about their cabin waffles, but they were sold out. I'll be back to try them! Food prices are a bit higher than a regular restaurant but worth it for the quality. Bathrooms? Not the best, but that's expected at ski resorts. GIFT SHOP There are 2 gift shops, and I went to both in search of Mountain Creek-specific stickers. I found none. They had pins & keychains, but no stickers. As someone who collects mountain-specific and adventure-specific stickers, to me this is a must! My hope and expectation is, they will get some before the season ends! I absolutely need to add this to my collection! The gift shop at the South Lodge had decal stickers, but they're too big for what I want to use mine for. Also, I am not joking when I say I want MOUNTAIN CREEK SPECIFIC STICKERS. There were pins I bought that would have been great as stickers, but I'm not interested in pins though. With that being said, I did buy gloves at the gift shop in the North Lodge. I had gloves, but it was a little warmer the day I went and was sweating so much in them. I found the perfect gloves for my tiny hands, much thinner, but still warm, in a pale pinkish color, with grips, water resistant fabric, AND they were touch screen gloves. Decently priced for quality gloves. QUICK TIP Mountain Creek is cashless. Use Apple Pay, GPay, or a credit/debit card. OVERALL The mountain, lodges, and staff are fantastic. Mountain Creek delivers an incredible experience, and the price reflects the quality. Their website is professional and easy to navigate. Honestly, it's been three years and I still think about the time that medic, trying to impress a young injured lady, yelled at me to get out of the way. I was sick and in the medic office seeking help too. Then the ladies behind the desk who initially said I could use a bed suddenly changed their mind and said they're getting busy. As a result, I spent hours in the nasty cafeteria restroom, on a nasty toilet, laying my head against the stall wall. It was the only place I could go. It was too cold outside and too loud and busy in the cafeteria, it made the whole room spin and my head pound worse. I could barely walk too. Thanks for the wonderful memories Mountain Creek. Have emailed customer service multiple times to get a refund for snow tubing. The line once you get up the lift was nearly 20 minutes just to go down once for one run. We left after one run. Came here November 2nd for the 3rd annual fall fest weekend. I got the sky ride ticket for $16.78. I really wanted to try the adventure package but it was already sold out by the time I got ready to purchase. In my honest opinion the Fall Fest is NOT WORTH IT! Especially if it would be quite a drive for you. The drive for me was about 1 hour and 30 minutes and I don't think the experience was worth the drive. I honestly feel like the IG reels and TikTok videos I've seen of the Fall fest overhyped it and made it look better than it really was. In my opinion it was hectic because there were bikers all over the place which is fair because the fall fest and the bike trail is a shared space. I think they should have called this BIKER FEST you literally have to watch out because the bikers just zoom by. I did get to go on the sky ride which was nice and the scenery was beautiful. But, was it worth coming to the fall fest and purchasing a ticket just to do that...... NO. If you are looking for a Fall experience/farm experience in Vernon, NJ I recommend Heaven Hill Farm which is literally 9 minutes from mountain creek. Now that gave me the vibe I was looking for. I didn't get to explore it fully because it was close to closing time but I did check out their Farmers Market and their cider donuts were tasty. Anyways, maybe I will be back to mountain creek but probably not for their Fall Fest. Came here for a midweek snowboarding day, and the trials were nice and empty. You have to purchase your tickets ahead of time, by the way, there is no ticketing kiosk. Instead you show an attendant up front (a random person in an orange jacket) who scans your ticket on your phone and gives you a card that folks at the chair lifts scan. I like that they have these standing gondolas instead of chair lifts so I don't worry about falling off when getting off the chair lifts lol. It's the little things. But what I most like is the width of the trails, there is ample space for me to carve as a newbie. The cafeteria food is expensive and mediocre (I spent $18 for mozzarella sticks and a small soup) but I wouldn't have expected any more from a ski resort tbh. I've never had amazing food at a ski resort. The distance between general parking and the ski area is a solid 5-10min walk one way so that's kind of a bummer but not the worst. read more

This is my first visit since 7 years ago and it looks as though the same troubles still occur. There was a lifeguard on her phone, not paying attention to my daughter going down the slide the wrong way, and she ended up bopping her head on the slide. Some lifeguards are not properly trained as one told a group they can use a regular tube from the kids lazy river, on the slide. We attempted to use a regular tube and the next lifeguard on duty told us absolutely not, that they have caused injuries in the past. One lifeguard told us my daughter needs a life vest in the wave pool, the other on duty let us right in without one. The food: Cold, stale, expensive food (as other reviewers also agree)... I requested fries fresh out of the fryer and they refused to give them to me, I was forced to have the cold fries sitting out in a pan on the counter. There is still a lot of garbage and trash in and out of the pools, still haven't ever seen one employee cleaning up the park. Nothing's changed except that they don't play ghetto rap music on the loud sound system anymore. Yay! Now it's a simple easy listening pop music playlist on low volume. I attended the octoberfest yesterday. Absolutely Horrendous! Only card accepted and the system was down for hours. and on top of it all there was only one small food truck serving german food. They also spread the food and beer condors all over the place so you have to walk all over the property to get food and beer. very inconvenient. and it's not cheap to get in. when I complained about not being able to get the entrance fee refunded after not being able to get food and being there for about an hour and a half they said they wouldn't refund. will never go back again. If they treat guests like this at this event I can image how you would be treated if you stayed at the resort. Stay away from this money grab! read more

First time coming here and I was pleasantly impressed. This year I am learning to ski after snowboarding my whole life. The layout of everything is easy. Although walking in ski boots is rough. I can still feel the warmth of the jets in the jacuzzi as we watched late night slope riders glide down the mountain. Overall, the stay was comfortable and had a home like warmth to the lodging. The kitchen had a small stove and dishwasher, so you could cook up something simple for breakfast or dinner. Our lodge included a gaslit fireplace right under the tv to enjoy cozy nights inside. Being on the first floor and the right wing of the lodging allowed us easy access to the ski lifts, and the heated pool, jacuzzi, wood sauna. We were allowed access to underground parking and they had a luggage cart. Bonus: complimentary pool, fooze ball, and gaming arcade (included every console from Atari-PS1) for up to four people. I have tried to give mountain creek another chance, so I went yesterday with some friends and I was hoping it got better! However it had not. First of all, the electronic tx did not work first thing in the morning as there was a glitch in the system, so I could not get on the lift twice until a supervisor figured it out. Turns out, if you are going for the day, the lift scanner will not let you on the lift before 9am, only season pass holders can go at 8am. Then the parking is awful! You have to park a mile away across the street up and over a bridge from where the lodge is to your car. If you want to be on the same side as the resort, they charge $50, or $20 on the opposite side of resort. Then, I got there nice and early and parked my car where the free parking is, then when I went to leave, the cars behind me were too close as no one is guiding the parking, it took me 15 mins to get out of my parking spot! The last thing I want to do after a long day of skiing! Oh , also they are cashless, only take credit cards, no cash! It does not say this on the website! The last thing was there policy abt no food or ski bags in the lodge by the food court. Which they don't enforce! I went down stairs to put my ski bag by the lockers as it did not fit in the locker and someone threw it on the ground where people can step on it! Also I don't trust my skis not being stolen so I have to separate them when I go inside! The snow was not bad, but all these other things really bothered me and took away from the experience! They should have a shuttle bus to take you from the parking to the ski lodge to help the customers! I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed! read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. Mountain Creek Water Park was a terrible experience. Let's start with the false advertisement on their website. Half the rides shown on their website were not open. The lines were incredibly long. The staff were rude and miserable. The food is extremely over priced. The wave pool was dirty. I remember my last experience being not so great but figured I'd give it another shot as the park underwent renovations and "brought back" some of the top rated rides......yea, never going back in my life lol. I went to an adult night at Mountain Creek, and it's safe to say I would never do it again. While the tickets were cheap, the experience was terrible and honestly felt very unsafe and trashy. They allow smoking weed throughout the park and drinking while getting on rides -- but the majority of the rides were closed anyway. We ended up spending most of the night at the wave pool, which was absolutely disgusting. There were Black & Milds, empty cans, and cigarette butts floating all over the place. On top of that, no one seemed to leave the pool to use the bathroom... so it's pretty clear what was happening in the water. Overall, the environment was gross and poorly managed. Definitely not something I'd recommend to anyone looking for a fun or clean night out. read more

I watched several children eating their lunch on the floor & witnessed one getting stepped on with a ski boot because the 30 minute table rule definitely was not enforced! Even to make a reservation, you can not speak to a live person, you have to leave a voicemail. This business makes me believe it is not a reputable business. in order to get a day ski lift pass, they require provide your complete personal information (picture, name, phone, email, age etc) and while they stating on-line that you can get ticket at the resort, the is no ticket counters: you must put all your information on a web site and pay for tickets on-line. I was there, and ALL black runs were closed: no discount for partial mountain. $134 for a day pass to overpacked green and few blue runs. You pay on-line, but than you stay in line to get the physical pass at the mountain. Then you stay in LONG LONG line to rent boots, then another LONG LONG line to rent skis, that you walk to another location for poles....did I mentioned how SLOOOOOW the few lifts and LOOOONG the lines? We came here for a family fun snowday, after an afternoon of skiing nearby at Mt. Peter. If you're wondering why we didn't just snow tube at Mt. Peter, it's because they weren't offering snow tubing at the time. Luckily, Mountain Creek is just 20 minutes away. They offered two times, 4p & 6p, on a Thursday. You can tube for two hours. We arrived around 430p but did not lose any time. Basically, your time starts once your wristbands are scanned. We bought our tickets online prior to our arrival. Checking in was seamless, as they were not busy at all. I'm sure they are much busier on the weekends. Once we checked in, we received our wristbands and they were scanned to begin our visit countdown. Pro tips - make sure the "M" on the wristband is visible and easily scanned by the attendants so that you don't have to fiddle with it every time, because have to rescan the wristband each ride up the conveyor belt. Also, don't tighten the wristband too much because you can not loose it. I would suggest fitting it to your gloves at the largest part of you hand so it doesn't fall off. Then when you want to remove, just take off your glove first and you should be able to just slide it right off. One of the attendants was a little odd. He kept having issues scanning our wristbands, but apparently didn't realize that he had literally just scanned us in for admission fifteen minutes prior. Their scanner is hit or miss, so it definitely causes delays when trying to ascend the snow hill. The staff switches out at each station, from the entrance to the conveyor belt embarkation/disembarkation, to the top of the hill, to the bottom of the hill. Once you start tubing, your time counts down. They were not able to tell us how much time we had left but it's two hours total. When you get up the hill, someone is waiting there if there are any issues. When you get to the very top and are ready to ride, there is an attendant there as well that will let you know when it's safe to proceed. They have to watch for signal below to ensure everyone's safety, so always wait until they give the go ahead. Again, that same attendant was rushing us to go when we all wanted to go at the same time. The hill was empty with not too many patrons so no one was ever waiting for anyone else. They have several lanes so it was perfect. I'm not sure what his problem was, but he seemed pretty new. They have small blue tubes for kiddos, red bigger tubes for older kids/adults, and blue double tubes for people who want to ride together. This was a first time for all of us so our daughter wanted to ride tandem. We went together for a bit and then hubby switched with me so I could have some solo fun. Once our kiddo felt comfortable, she went alone but keep in mind that smaller kids will have a difficult time getting all the way down to the bottom. She kept stopping short about halfway, and then would have to drag the tube behind her. It's not super heavy but is a lot to haul on little legs. After a few trips down, she decided to do tabdem again so that she could experience the whole thrill. I was just happy that she felt confident enough to try it out on her own, especially after a harrowing day of skiing for the first time (that's another story). Another tip is to make sure you lift you bum a bit as your sliding down because it was very icy and the lanes are pretty hard. If you hit a rock, it WILL hurt lol. We had a great time and ended a little bit early because we were very tired from a full day of snow activities. I gave 4 stars based upon our experience but I think it all of the small annoyances might become amplified during busier times, such as the scanning of the wristbands and some of the children/families rushing to cut (for no reason at all). As per the staff, the parking for the tubing, which is located down the hill, is actually the best parking for everything, even visiting the mountain for skiing/snowboarding, because it's closest to the mountain and away from the hectic influx of visitors above. Of course, with that, comes it's own hurdles. While we were tubing, there was a hit and run in the parking lot. Someone must have backed into another car, hitting two other cars in the interim. That person fled and the car owners were regulars so there were all on the mountain. It was really messed up. We definitely want to come back. I might check out their ski prices for comparison but I'm sure they're comparable to Mt. Peter's pricing. My gf regularly visits and has a timeshare nearby so maybe we'll do a dual family ski vacay. It would be nice to ski on one day, rest a bit and then snow tube the following day. read more

My sister and I came in Jan 2023, no issues, plenty of teachers so I brought my two sons in Feb 2025 so they could learn snowboarding. I paid for the class and the gear over $300 for both. The series of unfortunate events Stopped at DD for breakfast A car in front of us, decided to obey the law and drive 25 miles x hour Once there, one son needed to use a potty on the parking lot far uphill walk to lodge I gave wrong size for one, No tool to measure foot, boots too tight The line to get all the gear was so long we missed the class spot time. No snowboarding teacher in the area Hurt ankle Sat rest of morning Got new boots Went to learners area, board didn't fit Again a line to get another board :( By the time we walked from the far away uphill general parking, got everything(boots, helmet, locker, board) there was only one teacher teaching skiing, nobody in the area teaching snowboarding besides private teachers. My sons had no teacher there with them. For one, the boots were too thight, he hurt his ankle, and spent the whole morning sitting outside with me. In the afternoon, he tried again with larger boots, went to area, figured he needed another board, so he needed to do another line again He tried half an hour, gave up. Absolutely Disgusting. Dirty dirt dirty. First off There is no front desk at this resort. You actually have to go to the bar to check in. My room only only had 2 towels, no sheets on the bed, pillow's with no pillow cases, mold on the shower walls, room stunk like weed and the refrigerator was leaking water on the carpet. surprisingly many other guests were complaining about the similar issues. The hallways smell like weed. The people that work here at the check in area the bar were stoned and stunk like weed. I wIll never stay at this hotel again. It's hard for me to even give this place a 1 star. My children kept asking me what that smell was, Absolutely disgusting. I asked the night shift front desk employee for a few Towels and he proceeded to tell me that he doesn't get paid enough to get me towels and wasn't his job. i was so disappointed in this resort I left 2 days early. This place is a joke and should be shut down. You're better off making the trip to Blue mountain or Wyndham. this place gets worse and worse every year and it's very obvious they are going down hill.. read more

This mountain has a ton of paths, which is awesome for exploring. We spent time at each of the three mountains here, and there was a good variety of difficulty levels at each. There's also a terrain course with ramps and pipes, which we briefly tried. This part of the course isn't particularly beginner friendly because there's a ton of people that explore this area, making it really crowded. Did the equipment rental, and they first have you wait a while to watch the informational video before sending you off to the rental. They'll put the shoes on you themselves, which was interesting, and the equipment was pretty nice compared to other mountains I've been to in the past. I was a big fan of coming here - until now. Customer service is straight GARBAGE! Really disappointed I bought a season pass for 2023 honestly, for the whopping price of $740 after taxes and fees. Because of this ridiculously priced pass, I didn't get insurance (which btw didn't cover much for a refund, you basically needed a severe injury with documentation). There has been almost no snow this season. The temps are too warm, and now that I'm on an intermediate level - none of the better trails have fresh pow. Straight sheets of ice, muddy slushy trails. Zero interest in coming here anymore. Tried to nicely reach out and get a refund for the season pass, saying I would still purchase a Triple Play and was met with straight attitude stating that's not an option. There water park they oversell tickets no wonder on Groupon it's only 30$. How are your lines for one ride 2 hours long. It's crazy and unacceptable sell less tickets to not let this happen greed is what causes overcrowding and ruins the experience. The wave pool had the most trash waves ever. They weren't even waves. I went 2 years ago and the wave pool was so much fun and the the waves were huge this is a huge let down. read more

Hey hey Adventurers! I come here for #Ocktoberfest bc it's usually really a fun time. I came here after 3 years and still really enjoyed myself. Parking isn't too bad. But I'd highly recommend coming early to since it started to become packed around mid afternoon. They offer premier parking and regular lot, but those fill up and you'll be trekking well across a few fields. Some things to remember: buy your tickets online it's REQUIRED apparently. Which I feel is easier but also hinders a small clientele of their business. However, it's an easy process if you have to step out of line. Be mindful you are sharing the space with both dirt bikers(or maybe BMX) AND oktoberfest people. They provide wrist bands that depend on the tier that you get. I've done all levels and I'd say the generic is fine bc there was plenty of space and food. However, the lines can be LONG, so the VIP would be better since they've expanded their patio. So I think next year I'd def do VIP. If you can book a room with friends--do it. Though 6 months in advance. LOL. They have a pig and rabbit roast, tons of vendors--both food and drinks. This year felt like they offered more than beer--offering wine, seltzers, and mixed drinks via can. But I was excited they had a variety of pumpkin beer! Also this year they offered pickles--giant ones! They also have sumo wrestling, beerstein competitions, and live music! They luckily had 90's throwbacks! But highly recommend for a September activity bc I have always had fun! read more

We were in town for a week from AZ and today was Dads day out. We rented bikes and gear and had a great time. The trails were fun and well marked. All of the employees were friendly and couldn't beat the weather. We'd definitely go back again read more

Season pass holder here! Arrived at 8am opening time and had to wait 45 mins for lifts to start. Not sure if the lift was frozen or if they were understaffed. They kept the snow machine blasting throughout the whole morning session. Not only was this dangerous, but incredibly inconsiderate to season pass holders who arrived early. Snow machines instantly froze goggles, making it very dangerous. Talked to multiple staff members and no one really did anything. Safe to say I will not be buying the season pass again next season. Better to drive the extra hour to go to a better mountain with safer regulations. On the other hand, this is the only location in NJ where individuals can Ski/Snowboard, so I am thankful for that. read more

The girls and I got together to snow tube and we had a 5:30pm time slot. When I arrived the parking area for the snow tubing was very difficult to find. I eventually found it and walked over. The pictures made it seem like the hill was a lot higher than it actually was. When I walked up I registered and got a wrist band. We then had to wait on a line and go down the slide which was cool. It was something different to do and glad I had the experience. read more

Came here for snow tubing with the girls. Which we originally rescheduled because of the weather. The rep that helped I believe her name was Danielle was super helpful and accommodating for us to switch to this day. There are 5 slopes to go down. It'd your standard no frills tubing slopes. The directions to the place is very poor however. If you put the resort in your GPS it takes you to the main hub which is where they do snowboarding . There are no clear signs on how to get to the snow tube park and even once you get there there is little to no signs to guide you in which direction to go. Overall had a decent time. read more

Haven't been to Mountaincreek for a few years and I remembered why I'm not a fan right away. This is not a family resort. The majority of patrons are college boys. And coincidentally, they all happen to be snowboarders. The 2019-2020 winter price for a daily adult lift ticket is $80+$6 tax, which is higher than all other resorts. $60 for youth under 17 and senior citizens over 65. The resort consists of only one mountain, so expect it to be VERY crowded during busy season and weekends. Only one green trail. Standing lift, so you won't get to rest your weary feet in between the slopes. The green trail had a lot of spots with bare ground and ice. Very dangerous. All the pompous college boys are snowboarding on the green trail, flying past other beginners, creating dangerous situations. I witnessed fourteen collisions in the five hours that I've being skiing on the green trail. All college boys snowboarding at insane speed and colliding into people. Not even apologizing! Just flying past by, without stopping to help the victim to get up. Extremely rude, dangerous, and stressful. Young guys have no fear yet. All they care about is getting that adrenaline rush and showing off to their friends. When you fall on a snowboard, you curl into a ball, to prevent injury. When a snowboarder hits a skier, the skier is at much more danger due to the nature of skis, that tend to go different directions. One guy smashed into me from the back and we flew in a giant snowball, my skis going in different directions. After an eternity of rolling down the hill in absolute terror, my legs twisted in unnatural angles with skis still attached, I couldn't get up for some time. My right leg and back were hurting. I thought I'd need medical help. Thankfully, the pain subsided after a few days. But the fear remained. It is impossible to predict how others will behave and who will smash into you at any given second. The staff do not patrol the trails, as is done at other resorts. No one tells those headless young guys to be considerate of others. If something happens, the patrol and first aid have to be called and it'll take who knows how long for them to arrive to the scene. If you are a beginner, have kids, or want to enjoy your time without being placed in a dangerous situation, this resort is not for you. Will not be back and do not recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing experience. read more

Used to love coming here since it's a great location and prices were reasonable. They increased their prices this past season, a season pass used to be $200 and this past season increased to $300 (if you were lucky and got it early). We just went with the triple play passes not wanting to spend an arm and a leg for your typical east coast conditions (ice). As we know this winter has been unseasonable warm. All the trips we had planned it was either raining, too warm for the mountain to be open, or straight up dangerous to ski with the lack of coverage. I called in hopes of trying to use our triple play passes early next season or get a refund or... anything so they don't go to waste, and I received a "sorry there's nothing we can do". So needless to say the convenience factor of this mountain is no longer worth it and I will not be spending my money here next year. read more
