I was incredibly impressed by how talented, thoughtful, and communicative she was throughout the entire process. We really hit it off during our Zoom meeting, and she followed up on every email quickly with great insights and thoughtful questions. While I ultimately went with another designer due to a unique project request, choosing between them was an incredibly difficult decision. If you're in the beginning phase of starting your research to find the perfect landscape designer, you absolutely must include Julie in your search. You will not be disappointed!

Julie was fun to collaborate with, receptive to feedback, and she offered creative solutions as the design evolved over time. During the construction phase she visited multiple times to check that things were running smoothly. Selecting the plant material was also a lot of fun. Together we carefully curated a list of plants that not only met our low water desires, but also complimented the style of our home down to the color palette. Overall the entire project from start to finish took about ten months and were pleased with the final result as we wanted something relatively simple but updated, fresh, and modern. We are still getting compliments from neighbors as they pass by! We recommend Julie!

I wish I would have spent more time researching landscape companies. I have really tried to like them but the tone of every email has been off putting.

Some of the designers we interviewed made me feel judged about some of the materials we had used for the patio hard scape, etc. Rebecca was not judgemental and was very up front with us about the entire process. She worked with us on reducing items to fit our budget. Her installation crew was always polite and respectful of our property and cleaned up every afternoon before they left. Rebecca's knowledge of native plants and her visible enthusiasm over the subject was wonderful. We were very satisfied with the final product and look forward to spring when the plants will be more mature and attracting pollinators.

Our goal was to replace our side yard and fill in our backyard (a casualty of the drought some years ago). We are thrilled with both the beautiful design and the quality of the installation! Oleysa worked with us to understand what we wanted, created an initial plan, and modified it to suit our preferences. Her design sense is very high - how she arranges plants including their colors, sizes, and layering, their water needs, etc. Oleysa is extremely detailed and just knows so much about landscaping, plants, and practical plant care. She suggested plants that thrive in our local area, are visually interesting, and met our other criteria (low water, low maintenance). Many people may not think about the installation quality, but even a great design needs to be implemented - that's where Omar and his team come in. Omar is the best installer that we've worked with over the years. The design was perfectly executed. In fact, Omar actually left my existing landscape even better then it was before by extending irrigation to some existing plants. Also, there was some leftover compost and he took the initiative to spread it over some existing plants. Omar is also current with the latest irrigation tech such as flow indicators. Besides creating great results, they are easy to work with (good communication, on-time, hardworking, and reasonably priced). We strongly recommend Zin+Ola.

She took the time to understand our vision, listened carefully to every request and idea we had, and somehow managed to incorporate all of them into a cohesive and beautiful design. She was also extremely knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions while still making sure the final design reflected our preferences and how we wanted to use the space. We couldn't be happier with how the project came together. Olesya is creative, professional, responsive, and genuinely a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend her to anyone looking for landscaping or landscape design work--you'll be in excellent hands!

We began with a video meeting and we were so impressed with her methods, knowledge and attention to detail. It took my husband and I about a minute to decide to hire her. She was excellent with communication throughout the design process, always explaining what she was selecting and why and answering our questions along the way. She provided us with 3-D images which were very helpful and she made sure she was available to the landscapers who did the demolition, the hardscape, and the planting. The end result is gorgeous. The new patio - with outdoor furniture that she recommended (I followed all of her recommendations) - feels like a resort in our back yard. I had asked for mostly drought resistant native plants that would attract wildlife (birds, bees and butterflies). We now have these frequent visitors at the blooming flowers and the new birdbath. I cannot believe this is my backyard! I feel so lucky that we found Dawn and hired her. She is the consummate professional and endlessly talented.

She patiently discussed options, endured all my questions as somebody inexperienced, and explained her point of view without imposing anything. I appreciated her knowledge and concern about the tradeoffs that need to be made (availability of materials, easy/hard to setup/build, cost, etc). When we aligned on a few ideas that seem promising, she input everything into 3d rendering software to generate views of the project that would allow us to make decisions. This allowed us to see the project coming to life, from different angles, at different times of the day, for different options. Finally, we took each element and refined details to get to a final design. Dawn converted all that to plans and details to give to the contractor that did the project. She also helped me with alternatives as I was negotiating additional details with the contractor. Overall it was a great experience and it was fantastic to work with her.

We wanted something beautiful but low maintenance, and Gun really took the time to understand what we were looking for. She had us complete a survey, met with us a few times, and put together a thoughtful design with visuals and a really cool rendering video that helped us picture the final space. What stood out most was how much expertise she brought to the process. She truly knows her plants and was great at explaining what would work best in different areas based on light, watering needs, and long-term maintenance. She also uses great technology and apps to help think through lighting, irrigation, and the overall design. Gun was onsite multiple times to walk through plant and tree options with us, and she also referred us to a great landscaper who helped bring the design to life. During the final walkthrough, she even brought over a few plants from her own garden, which was such a sweet and personal touch. This is the only positive piece I can comment on. He did quick work; but not to the specifications we discussed. My impression is that he tries to squeeze in as many projects as he can into a week and cuts corners to complete work within his condensed timeframe. For example, the drain system was supposed to include a water backflow stop. I learned today after heavy rain that this was not installed. This is a big deal! The backflow caused my sump pump to cycle constantly. Which isn't great for the longevity of the system. I have experienced the same issue as other reviewers - Oscar ignores every call or text I send him. Towards the end of the project, he promised to return with my sump pump lid. He scheduled dates, then rescheduled, and eventually ignored me completely. Although I'm disappointed by the results of his work. I am most disappointed by the lack of integrity in his business practices. He wrote me off as a good paying customer, leaving me to feel like a fool for choosing him. I'm not surprised others have had a positive experience with him. As long as the project and timing are convenient, he will get it done. But the moral compass Oscar and Veronica operate under is questionable. This is the biggest mistake I've ever made with a contractor. I do not recommend Oscar or Veronica.
