I never realized that this was a restaurant at Universal Studios and one way to dine here would be to pay for the VIP Tour which we did to try it at Universal. At around 1pm our tour guide took us into the Moulin Rouge to have our all you can eat buffet style lunch for one hour. We were seated with our party only so that was nice. They have a good variety of foods for adults and kids. Their highlight would be the mushroom ravioli and salad bar which was fresh and looked/tasted great. The outdoor portion of the restaurant which is still covered overlooks the lower lot and the San Fernando Valley mountains which was stunning. Food itself wasn't bad for a buffet at a theme park. Service was really nice and they have a crepe station as well.

***ONLY AVAILABLE VIA VIP TOUR*** When booking a trip at Universal Studios Hollywood, there is an option to purchase a VIP Tour Experience ticket from $379/day. A separate review on the tour itself, but via that tour is the only way you can dine at Moulin Rouge. By far over the four day weekend this was our favorite meal at both the park and surrounding areas/Hilton hotel. This is listed as "a gourmet meal" and I concur that it was definitely a more upscale buffet style meal. The highlights of the food that I enjoyed were: Rosemary & Thyme Roasted Potato Garlic Potato Purée Mac & Cheese Roasted Carrots Meyer Lemon Ravioli I tend to stick to meat free meals, but my dad loved the carvery portion and my mom liked the fish options as well. We were all impressed, and quite frankly, I could easily do the VIP Tour again since this made for an amazing lunch to top off the day. Lastly, they do have some "character dining" where Dracula or perhaps other characters stop by. I thought that would be a nice touch for kids and even as adults we enjoyed the banter. If you are on the fence about a VIP Tour experience, let this dining experience be the deciding factor as I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

This place is amazing! There's characters walking around, you can eat as much as you want, and everything tastes fantastic! You can only eat here if you have the VIP pass and you can only eat here for one meal, but it's definitely delicious. The seafood was pretty much amazing and if I ever end up here again I'll just load up on that. The street corn was way too salty so I didn't enjoy that. Definitely save room for dessert here- they have a nice variety and I loved almost everything. Loved: - Chicken: Teriyaki - Dessert: Chocolate cake - Dessert: Chocolate Crepes - Dessert: Creme Brûlée - Salmon - Salmon: Slices - Shrimp with Cucumber

It's my first time to try Universal Studios Hollywood VIP Experience for my birthday, and it's definitely freaking Worth it! The food was really delightful, it's super delicious. It's a buffet style private dine in. Service and ambiance of the place was good as well. Not too overcrowded which is really nice.

I've been here 3 times in the past two decades. Excellent foods and services. It's included into the Hollywood Universal Studios VIP Experience package and this is where they always take you during mid tour for the 1-hour lunch break. All tour guides stop here for lunch too. Absolutely loved everything about it. Every guest had the badge, so perhaps they only open to VIP Experience folks. Greeters are very inviting and friendly. Excellent customer service, entertaining staff members, delicious foods, beautiful decorations, indoor and outdoor dining available, plus the ambience was just amazing. Entertainers, such as Lucy from I Love Lucy, Dracula, and others will come walk around, ask you how you are doing, where you are from, and then spark other conversations with you while you are enjoying your foods. Wonderful experience with great times. Plenty of foods and drinks to choose from. Prosciutto wrapped around cantelope was yummy. Salmon, poke fish meat, and shrimps were all very fresh and tasty. Salads are lightly tossed. Choose your cheese and appetizers. Entrees and meats are different each time. They even had mini crepes here. Chocolate chip cookies are very soft and warm, fresh baked. Fresh fruits. Desserts are the best: cakes, tarts, pudding, mousse desserts, etc. Lots of potatoes and pizza slices. They have mainly small bites here, but that is plenty of delicious selections to enjoy and much better than foods sold outside or all around the amusement park. Comfortable seats and spacious. Restrooms are in-house or you can walk outside to use the public restrooms at a walking distance. What a perfect place inside the center of the Paris strip that stands out. Each time we come here, it's a very different and unique experience. Perfect lighting. Tables are romantic with the small vase of flowers. Very clean and organized. Highly recommended. Very cute and cozy place.

This came with the VIP experience. Great food. And unlimited plates and drinks. This alone is worth the VIP package. Nice view for lunch and private restrooms. Staff is very friendly and you get to see some characters while you're there.

The first area…read moremy group (4 young adult women) went to upon getting there around opening time was the Super Mario world. My friends are way bigger fans of that whole world than me. I had my phase of Mario Kart when I was 8-10 years old, but that was it. They kept the Mario kart ride moving smoothly; the ride said 45 minutes but I feel like the time went by faster as we were always moving in a perpetual fashion. It was a fun ride; my only complaint was that I wish it was moving on the track faster. We were stagnant at several points waiting for the cart to continue moving. I also was shooting at everything I saw the entire time AND moving along the track with my friend next to me and then end up getting LITERALLY 0 COINS at the end like what?? Anyway, we didn't spend all day at the park since we had other obligations in the evening, but I feel like the amount of activities we did, it was not worth the $150 ticket plus $40 in parking. But that's how any amusement park is nowadays, so can't really complain I guess. The outside shopping section outside of the actual park was really neat; a lot of niche shops ranging from an autograph place to Sephora (so ANY mall-esque store you could think of). All of the food and beverages we tried, such as the cone Mac & cheese and the Mario sodas were pretty good, just pricey, as usual. Lots of shopping potential both inside and outside the park.

Transformer ride was a really good interactive ride too! The most amazing area was how they put together Mario world! Sooooo creative! So pretty to look at! Basically, for anyone who still believes that the Magic is real. And I'm going to let me let you in on a little secret.... It is, very much Real. So pack your bags, head to Platform 9 3/4 and get on the Hogwarts Express! ALL ABOARD!!!!! To The Wizarding World of Harry Potter @Universal Studios Hollywood we go! --------------------- It was May 23rd, 2026.... We were celebrating my oldest daughter's Birthday who just turned 8 a few days prior. As she recently got into watching all of the Harry Potter movies and being that we hadn't been to Universal Studios in several years, none of us had experienced the Harry Potter World before. On the day of our visit, my oldest wore her Harry Potter outfit (Team Gryffindor, of course). I don't know who was more excited, her or me... But she looked Awesome and her beaming smile said it all! We were at the front gates at opening and our 1st stop was The WW of HP and upon walking through the gates of this Magical Land... We were all immediately transformed into another world. A world of Magic, of Mystery & of course Wonder. It was something special that only you seeing it for yourself will you truly understand the Magic. And as the wise Albus Dumbledore said himself, "Words are in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic." Yes, the true magic are the things that can be said about this place; the stories told, the memories created, the experiences shared by those who had yet to experience it before. And our experience was nothing short of Pure Magic. The Hogwarts Castle is absolutely Breathtaking; I simply could not get enough of it. Yeah, as we walked away for the final time that morning, I just couldn't stop looking back at it as I was filled with joy. From the.... Train conductor at the entrance who posed for a picture with my oldest was in character the entire time and he was a pure gem. To the themed shops, the butter beer, the interactive spots throughout the land were so much fun and it's definitely my new favorite spot within the park... And of course, the themed rides that absolutely did the movies justice and were extra fun because it was our first time. We had a blast! But the most magical part of our experience was the wand shop presentation where a child is selected from the audience as the "chosen one". My daughter was randomly selected as the "chosen wizard" and was pulled front and center to be apart of the wizardry show. It was experience she will hopefully never forget... I know I won't! A huge shoutout to Universal Studios and everyone behind making this place as real as our imaginations imagined Hogwarts would be.... You ABSOLUTELY Nailed it! Until our next adventure..... May the Magic in your heart, the imagination in your head and the hope in your spirit stay young forever.

As much as people praise Disney, there is no "land" that impressed me as much as Super Nintendo World (may be slightly biased since I'm more familiar with this IP than with Star Wars). Lots and lots of animatronics all around and the attention to details must be commended. Even the restrooms are very strongly themed with the background music changing to match and it being underwater themed too. If you have a wristband you can utilize the interactive aspects of this area, but even if you don't, it's definitely a must stop, even if you may not be much of a gamer. Bright, vibrant colors and so so much to work out. The fact that the "world" is stacked so high in the sky, really gives you the strong feeling of immersion as you are surrounded by everything you'd expect from jumping into a Super Mario game. Lots of photo ops with characters and just with the land as a back drop. There's the Toadstool Cafe, the Mario Kart ride, a shop, and so, so much to look at. Can't wait to come back again one day and not be rushed to finish all of the Fan Fest festivities.

Various hot and cold sandwiches, salads, chips and a full selection of hot or cold, large or small coffee drinks. Even some blended coffee drinks. We ordered the hot Cuban sandwich, Cobb salad and a large iced coffee latte drink. The Cuban was hot but a little bit soggy but still tasty. Cobb salad super fresh and healthy.
