I have lived in southern California for over 10 years and I had never visited Universal Studios in Hollywood. My boyfriend could not believe it and he said we had to go. He decided to buy tickets with the early access and I cannot believe I woke up so early on a Saturday to be there on time. My boyfriend also decided to buy the fast pass. We literally made it there before they open for early access. If you have a handicap placard, you are able to park in the Premium parking at the front in their handicap spots without having to pay extra. That is an awesome incentive to get there early! There was a line to get in, but once they open, it started moving quick. With the early axis you get access to the Nintendo world so you need to walk all the way to the back and take the escalators down. That is the only time in the day that we saw that land, not being extremely crowded. We were able to ride an Nintendo rides without even using the fast pass because there was no line. We explored the whole park including the tour. We were done around 4pm with everything. It was definitely a long day but it was very fun. I would highly suggest sunscreen, water and enjoying the time there. The only thing we noticed is that there are not that many food options that aren't unhealthy or fatty and there weren't many shaded spots to sit at. They do have beer at multiple locations. Overall I had a lot of fun and got all my steps

We're season pass holders so we frequent the park a few times a month and really enjoy coming. This weekend is the opening of the new fast and the furious ride! The park is always clean and the staff is nice. The one time I had to use guest relations they were wonderful. Cooper knight from Hawaii is a great help and is an excellent representation of the company. So many things to do and try it's definitely worth the season pass

We enjoyed the Universal Studios in Hollywood more than the Orlando location primarily because the weather is cooler and drier in the summer. It was comfortable high 70's. Everything is really close walking distance with so many food and snack options. My favorite rides were the Mummy, Harry Potter, Minions, and Simpsons. Too bad the new Fast and Furious ride hadn't opened yet. We paid extra for the express pass which made the waits more tolerable. Also be sure to do the Studio Tour which was really cool.

Crowds made everything take longer. Just walking around is an ordeal. They need to make this park bigger.. Lol. Place is great and the food is always updating with the occasion. Pay for parking but with in:out privileges. Currently the park closes a bit early (latest was 8pm). Not sure when they will be open any later.

Attended Universal Studios Hollywood Grad bash 2026. I absolutely loved the chaperone portion of this event at Universal Studios. We were treated very well in my opinion. We were given tickets to enter the park all day. Free parking and a meal voucher to use uncertain foods throughout the park. We had choices, which was very nice. The chaperone lounges were stocked with drinks, snacks, and coffee to use starting at 7 PM. They also had massage chair chairs that you could sign up for in the lounges. The park had a lot of fun Rides, shows an events for dancing. It was the perfect day if you wanted to go and relax or join in on all the fun. I highly recommend grad bash for any high school looking for a place for their seniors to celebrate.

Who doesn't feel like a kid again when you enter Universal Studios Hollywood! What a fantastic couple of days riding thrill rides and kid friendly rides. I love the park, they have many times when you can have your picture with characters and autograph your books. Many places to eat, even Starbucks! We had a Nathan's hot dog one day and a breakfast sandwich at Starbucks! We had a few beers, be prepared to pay almost double for everything! You can ask anyone for a cup of water which is complementary and it sure tasted good on a hot day! My favorite ride was Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey and Transformers!! You must see the Water World Show we saw it twice! It's so good!! The new fast and furious rollercoaster was up and running ...doing testing prior to show time in the summer of 2026! It looks like a good one! The cars go sideways on the track! You've got to love technology!! It's been over 20 years since I've been here! Some rides the same, but others were updated with the sign of the times! Mario Kart is Awesome!!

Always a good time at universal studios. They always have new exciting rides and food. We went to try the fast and furious ride but it was broken. Other than that we we got on rides with smooth sailing .

We won't be back for at least a year and that is only because my grandson will forget the horrid lines, no care of the handicapped and again, long lines. 1.5 hours for one 2 minute ride. It is expensive, parking is outrageous. The place is very pretty, but there is no where to sit and catch your breath. The show we saw was great. It is called Water Works and my grandson loved it. He also loved the few rides he could get on, waiting more than 1.5 hours for some. I think you can pay for a pass that gets you on a ride faster, but we are not rich. The food served there is very good and all enjoyed it. The stores are so expensive, no thanks. The staff is nice and they try to do a good job and I thank them for that. They also changed the hours on us at the last minute. I bought the tickets and read the hours. But they put up some event cutting us out of several hours. That is not okay. I did not get what I paid for.

My first time at Universal Studios Hollywood! Absolute fun. Definitely a place one needs to go to take a break from being an adult. Lol The food and drinks were great. I really enjoyed the Butter Beer in the Harry Potter Universe! The amusement rides and interactions throughout the park were fun. The meal we had while there was a great portion size for the costs. Roughly $25 Per Person. I literally could've stayed in Super Nintendo World for hours punching loot boxes and gaining coin after buying the character power up bands in their gift store. Check it out! Revenge of the Mummy was a great ride! Freaking Jurassic World. So good. You won't leave this ride dry. Thanks Dilophosaurus! Semi spoiler alert: I can't wait until the Fast and Furious ride opens! A 72mph coaster whose individual cars twist and turn as they travel on the track! There are some attractions and entertainment I look forward to going back like checking out WaterWorld, the Raptor Encounter, and expecting more shows. We did take the studio tour which was nice, but I heard they cut a bit of it out and it was shorter that day than was expected. It was cool seeing the sets where movies and TV shows were filmed. All in all, must go for families, couples needing a weekend get away and those who just want to do something different with their summer. Go! You won't regret it.

For what they offer it's pricey for adults, but it's amazing for kids. The visuals really are exceptional in each area. Harry Potter is a personal favorite. The staff is very nice and always in good mood character to keep the day alive. It's a great park to go to once but it gets old.

Universal is always a good idea for a family plan or with friends when you want to have fun and walk for a while. Today we did the studio tour and a lot of walk, it was full of people like 30.000 they said that at the entrance. We watch the minion's show and took pictures with them

Great experience! Wasn't too busy so there was no waiting on rides. Atmosphere was great and welcoming. Lots of things to do and things to see.

Is universal a good park for kids age 8,6,and 3?

Are you allowed to bring a portable foldable small chair for this long lines?

you can but some rides limit how many items you can bring on so it depends on how portable the chair is. In my experience, the lines are bearable and very well themed and you can always lean on a railing.

How early pass work and what time is the best to arrive at the park?

Hi! You want to get through security an hour before your pass time. They will walk you to the Super Nintendo area 30 min before you are allowed in. The closer you are to the front of this group the better to maximize your early entrance pass. Also… Read more

In honor of my milestone 800th Yelp review…read more... We are going somewhere very, VERY Magical. A place not just for kids, but for adults, and even for the elderly... Basically, for anyone who still believes that the Magic is real. And I'm going to let me let you in on a little secret.... It is, very much Real. So pack your bags, head to Platform 9 3/4 and get on the Hogwarts Express! ALL ABOARD!!!!! To The Wizarding World of Harry Potter @Universal Studios Hollywood we go! --------------------- It was May 23rd, 2026.... We were celebrating my oldest daughter's Birthday who just turned 8 a few days prior. As she recently got into watching all of the Harry Potter movies and being that we hadn't been to Universal Studios in several years, none of us had experienced the Harry Potter World before. On the day of our visit, my oldest wore her Harry Potter outfit (Team Gryffindor, of course). I don't know who was more excited, her or me... But she looked Awesome and her beaming smile said it all! We were at the front gates at opening and our 1st stop was The WW of HP and upon walking through the gates of this Magical Land... We were all immediately transformed into another world. A world of Magic, of Mystery & of course Wonder. It was something special that only you seeing it for yourself will you truly understand the Magic. And as the wise Albus Dumbledore said himself, "Words are in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic." Yes, the true magic are the things that can be said about this place; the stories told, the memories created, the experiences shared by those who had yet to experience it before. And our experience was nothing short of Pure Magic. The Hogwarts Castle is absolutely Breathtaking; I simply could not get enough of it. Yeah, as we walked away for the final time that morning, I just couldn't stop looking back at it as I was filled with joy. From the.... Train conductor at the entrance who posed for a picture with my oldest was in character the entire time and he was a pure gem. To the themed shops, the butter beer, the interactive spots throughout the land were so much fun and it's definitely my new favorite spot within the park... And of course, the themed rides that absolutely did the movies justice and were extra fun because it was our first time. We had a blast! But the most magical part of our experience was the wand shop presentation where a child is selected from the audience as the "chosen one". My daughter was randomly selected as the "chosen wizard" and was pulled front and center to be apart of the wizardry show. It was experience she will hopefully never forget... I know I won't! A huge shoutout to Universal Studios and everyone behind making this place as real as our imaginations imagined Hogwarts would be.... You ABSOLUTELY Nailed it! Until our next adventure..... May the Magic in your heart, the imagination in your head and the hope in your spirit stay young forever.

The attention to detail throughout the entire area is incredible, from the architecture and music to the little interactive elements hidden throughout the land. Even if you're not a huge Harry Potter fan, it's still an experience worth visiting because the atmosphere alone is so immersive. One of the best parts was how well the staff stayed in character and interacted with guests. Team members were friendly, helpful, and did a great job managing the crowds, especially around the more popular attractions and shops. Even when the area became busy, employees kept lines organized and answered questions without seeming rushed. The rides were definitely the highlight. Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey was one of the most impressive theme park rides I've experienced. The wait time can get long very quickly, especially in the afternoon, so I highly recommend going early in the day if possible. Universal's app was helpful for checking ride times throughout the day. Flight of the Hippogriff had a shorter wait but was still fun, especially for families or anyone wanting a lighter ride experience. Food and drinks are expensive, but honestly the themed snacks and Butterbeer are part of the experience. Butterbeer is a must-try at least once. The frozen version was my favorite, especially in the California heat. Seating around the food areas fills up fast during peak hours, so timing your meals earlier or later than normal lunch times can help avoid crowds. The shops inside Hogsmeade were extremely detailed, but they do get packed. Ollivanders was one of the busiest areas during my visit, and there was a wait to get inside. If you want an interactive wand experience, be prepared for the wands to be pricey, but the interactive spell locations throughout the land make it more fun and worth it for fans. One thing visitors should know is that this area gets crowded very quickly, especially midday and during weekends or holidays. Taking photos can sometimes require patience because there are constantly people walking through the main pathways. Early mornings and evenings seemed to be the best times for photos and shorter lines. Overall, this was one of the most immersive themed areas I've visited at any park. Universal did an amazing job bringing the Harry Potter world to life, and it truly feels like an attraction you could spend hours exploring. Definitely worth adding to your Universal Studios Hollywood visit.

As much as people praise Disney, there is no "land" that impressed me as much as Super Nintendo World (may be slightly biased since I'm more familiar with this IP than with Star Wars). Lots and lots of animatronics all around and the attention to details must be commended. Even the restrooms are very strongly themed with the background music changing to match and it being underwater themed too. If you have a wristband you can utilize the interactive aspects of this area, but even if you don't, it's definitely a must stop, even if you may not be much of a gamer. Bright, vibrant colors and so so much to work out. The fact that the "world" is stacked so high in the sky, really gives you the strong feeling of immersion as you are surrounded by everything you'd expect from jumping into a Super Mario game. Lots of photo ops with characters and just with the land as a back drop. There's the Toadstool Cafe, the Mario Kart ride, a shop, and so, so much to look at. All jokes aside, this place is a lot fun and we loved exploring, but prepare yourself for a assault on the senses. By hour two, my daughter and I were ready to leave. I've never been overstimulated before, but with the loud music, constant video game noises, the heat, and all of the children scream-crying, my brain was in overdrive. Now that you've prepared yourself here's a quicklist of must do things when visiting here... - Get here first thing in the AM or be prepared to wait. - You MUST get the game band, otherwise you can't do anything except hop on the Mario Kart ride. - Plan to spend to the bulk of your day here. With the band you gain access to multiple games in the area, collect digital coins, Mario Stamps, and unlock access to a secret final interactive game. - Book reservations for Toad's Cafe. It had lots of veggies in it and I wish it had more cheese. It was edible though. I would order one again. The cafe itself was adorable! Toadstool Cafe Pirahna Salad The salad was very fresh. Loved the presentation. I would not order it again though. It was expensive for what you get and not very filing.

Mac & cheese w/fries (wedges) 1/5 (harry potter) also came with purple grapes. greasy and no cheese flavor at all. kids wouldn't even eat it and my son eats everything. $10 Cream cheese pretzel (snack bar) 2/5 wanted to try the jalapeño and cheese one but they were out of jalapeños but after eating this one i might not bother trying it. it was super dense and not enough cream cheese and it tasted weird like maybe it was cooked to much (maybe they're better fresh) 10/11/2023 chicken sandwich (jurassic cafe) 4/5 pretty bomb. my favorite thing i ate the whole trip. they skimped on the aoili and cooked veggies but over all very good. came with wedges. burger (jurassic cafe) 3/5 according to my husband it was kind of dry but okay over all. came with wedges. chicken empanadas (jurassic cafe) 2/5 tasted nothing like traditional empanadas. similar to the filling of a pot pie and weren't great. the chimichurri sauce was also just okay, very thick. sticky toffee pudding (harry potter 3 broom sticks) 5/5 we loved it! reminded me of a warm apple cake with a crunchy outside & paired with vanilla ice cream made it perfecttttt ice cream soda (mario cart outside mario land) strawberry 3/5 & green apple 2/5 my kids were not impressed with either flavor and didn't finish them but they were cute and fun. they had flavored sode, vanilla ice cream & boba at the bottom.

Pro-Tip: If after the tour and you have to hop back on the freeway to go home (during rush hour), you can kill some time at the Burbank Town Center Mall that is close by. Easy to find the parking lot, everything is clearly labeled and they charge $15 for the day. Go down the looney toons elevator (level G) and you are now in the lobby. You will have to go through metal detectors. If you get there early, you can hang out at one of the most expensive Starbucks to relax. The bathroom is near the gift shop. You can also go into "check in" area and look at some cool stuff. They ask that you arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled time. The 30 minutes is KEY for the Deluxe Tour. I checked in around 9am with Michael for our 930am tour. He said we are early and go ahead and have a seat and he will call us when ready. (THIS IS WRONG! HE DUCKED OUT AFTER SCANNING OUR TICKET BUT FOR OTHER PEOPLE OF A DIFFERENT RACE, HE SAID, "OH, YOU HAVE THE DELUXE, LET ME GIVE YOU YOUR LANDYARDS." I WITNESS THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN. WHEN HE LEFT THE COUNTER AGAIN, I ASKED A DIFFERENT PERSON FOR OUR LANYARDS) Michael NEVER called us and forgot about us. This is BS because if you have the Deluxe Tour, your name is on the list. He claimed we were just added, nope! I saw my name on the list and he crossed it out. The lanyard is important because on the bottom of it, is a voucher (don't tear) that is good at Central Perk for a free snack and drink. Michael, you are a POS, how hard is it to bend down and give me 4 lanyards? I know what you were doing but I was there with my two kids. I showed them how to handle things when someone is being "selective" in treatment. After the 930pm group is called, you are invited into a lounge. Feel free to take advantage and get some pastries, chips, other snacks, cold drinks, and coffee. The silverware and cups must stay in the lounge. Hopefully, you didn't buy anything at Starbucks. Then give you a count down when the tour will start, use the bathroom outside at this point. If you don't need to, trust me, do it. In the lounge, we were also offered a complementary admission to the Superman experience (do it). Then you go into a movie theater to watch a quick 5-minute video before meeting your tour guide. Our tour guide was Alejandro and he was wonderful. Super cool and turned our day around quickly. He is full of energy and knowledge and you can tell he enjoys his job. Alejandro took us around the studio and empty sets and explained how movies were made and which movies were made with each specific set. We would go to a different part and get out and walk. Alejandro did such a good job and that is why I am rating this 5 stars. We were able to see the costumes department and they have tons of clothes from different eras. Pictures were not allowed in there. After visiting a few areas and actually a stage (think warehouse) and the sound department (how the mix in effects plus music), we took our first break at the exclusive WB Commissary. The best part was that Alejandro was about to join us for lunch (working lunch). Lunch was delicious and top notch. You can order a starter and entree and they are sensitive to guests with allergies. A drink is also included. After lunch, we made our way to the prop department and it is amazing at some of the stuff they have in there. After the guided tour, it was time for Alejandro to say bye to us for the self-guided portion. Right at the Central Perk. No snacks are allowed in the exhibits room on left so we did that area first and saw the costumes for Mortal Kombat, a few cool things, and photo OP on the Friends and Big Bang Theory Couch. Give them your phone. They will also take a picture too and hand you a QR card. Then you can do a motion video of Harry Potter riding the broom or Batman in the motorcycle and they take the picture at the end. You are not allowed to photo or film while you are doing this on the green screen. Then show the QR code and maybe you want to buy a picture or two? There is another sound stage presentation similar to the one we did on the tour but different movie. A few exhibits and we were back into Central Perk again to cash in for a free drink and free snack. I decided on a blended drink and apple fritter. My kids took chips and bottle of lemonade. Inside the giftshop was the counter of Central Perk, the sofa again inside the coffee shop, Monica's kitchen, etc. It was close to 4pm at this point and we did the Superman Experience and they take to the Friends fountain for a quick picture. Then it's off to play your game and afterwards, you can explore the exhibits inside the Fortress of Solitude. You can take pictures and buy them afterwards. There is a giftshop too. Then shuttle to Batman and Harry Potter stuff. Great day!

As a huge fan of the The Big Bang Theory, I was so excited for this experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and friendly. Our tour guide was hilarious and shared so many fun behind-the-scenes facts throughout the tour. One of the highlights was getting to sit on the famous couch from the Friends set. Now I want to go back and binge-watch the entire series again. Whether you're a TV fan or just looking for a unique Los Angeles experience, this tour is definitely worth checking out.

The Wizard World!!!…read more Hogsmeade has so much to offer. The first time I came here, I think I didn't do my research and missed out on some things. This time, I was prepared and wanted to do everything lol Hogsmeade is the place to buy robes to represent your Hogwarts House, and to grab your favorite magical wand! Run around with your robe, doing some spells with your wand lol There's plenty of Harry Potter gifts and souvenirs here as well. Make your way to the candy store, for some chocolate frogs and love potion. Then head over for some freshing butterbeer! I love that butterbeer is alcohol free, but you can find spiked butterbeer in the world. Don't forget about the two rides in Hogsmeade! One is a rollercoaster, and the other is a motion-based ride. The motion ride will make you feel sick if you get motion sickness. The rollercoaster is so quick! Over in 30 seconds lol Lots to do in this world and tons of fun! :)

From Ollivander's to Honeydukes, there's something for everyone! They have some shops from the series that you'll recognize as well, mostly for decor. They have interactive windows for wand holders which really make it immersive. Otherwise they still make for a great photo op! Always a place we like to drop by and highly recommend eating at the three broomsticks. It's fun just wandering around in your house outfit/colors. IG: @ammysalamii
