I came to LA Live with my wife on the weekend to visit the Grammy Museum for the Selena exhibit. This weekend was the last week it would be there so I took her for an early mother's Day gift since that's her idol and we named our daughter after her. The Grammy Museum is in the LA Live plaza near Crypto arena so I parked at the underground garage there. The pricing is reasonable if you're not going to be there long. We came in the morning so traffic was not bad and there was no other event happening in the area. You have a lot of restaurants here and there also a Starbucks that we visited as well. The plaza is very cleaned and has security around to make you feel at ease. read more

I've been here for both Japanese rock performances in the past, Anime Expo related shenanigans, the Violet Evergarden live concert, and even Cirque du Soleil. It's really nice when this venue is closed off from traffic and you can walk in and out, makes things much easier as a pedestrian, but it does get quite fisted traffic-wise when you do that. I try not to park here because it becomes a nightmare leaving when a show or what not is over, but there's lots nearby that are affordable if you have eyes that search for them. Security does its job and is quite efficient and not as filled with vitriol as TSA or other security checks which is nice. Workers are helpful, mostly when you ask questions. Hasn't happened to me, but I've heard instances when people were lining up in the wrong spots for events and such. There's a decent selection of food here from bars, a Starbucks, Japanese food (fancier date night spot), of course Yard House, smash burgers, etc. read more

Im going to have to give it up to LA Live. First there are plenty of restaurants and 2nd, there is plenty of parking at its garage structure. No other entertainment stadium I know in the Los Angeles area has restaurants, bars and a bowling alley. You have the comfort to wait for the game or concert prior to start time as well as waiting for traffic to die out in post events. Just naming the city of inglewood as an example, there is nowhere where you can lounge and post up. LA Live has the amenities you need for a social hangout. Kudos to LA Live for being next to the Crypto Arena. Cool place especially close to the winter season. An Ice Skating ring is literally constructed next to a big Christmas tree. :) As of now, upgrades are being performed in the center of LA LIVE. Awesome location! read more

Epic entertainment, hotel, restaurant and event venue hub located in Downtown Los Angeles. LA Live has become one of the coolest attractions of Greater LA. I've enjoyed some great eats here via Fixins, classic cold brews at the Starbuck, seen some great concerts (saw my firsts back in it's transition days from Staples to Crypto) here and even pondered some ice skating as they have going on currently for the holiday months. Restrooms in hidden places, easiest access on the lower level for parking. Not a lot of clear signs to guide you there, but several establishments have their own. If you haven't been to the Grammy Museum, you can find it here off Figueroa Street. LA Live can be access off Olympic Blvd and/or Figueroa as well as a couple of side streets. Great nods to athletic greats from basketball (NBA) to ice hockey (NHL), boxing, coaching, announcers and legends of their skill and time. Enjoy bowling at Lucky Strike. Vacation or staycation at the JW Marriott. Drinks at Yard House, Tom's Watch Bar, Lazy Dog and so many others. Sushi at Katsuya. Movies at Regal. Mexican at Sol AGAVE. Have an experience at The Agave Library. Spa day at the the Ritz-Carlton Spa (couple or group packages available). Take in the Peacock Place, home to many red carpet events. ONE OF LA's BEST ENTERTAINMENT HUBS! I'm a massive fan of L.A. Live, I've come here with family to hang out before many hockey games at Crypto. and I've also been here during trips to AX at the LACC. L.A. Live is the one of most exciting places you can be in DTLA, it transforms from event to event. I had the pleasure of attending a couple weeks ago during AX's beer garden and it was a blast. The energy was great and I never felt in danger! L.A. Live has lots of security and people, so you never really feel alone, even during solo trips. I love the food options we get to enjoy here in L.A Live from the Lazy Dog, which has an excellent bar and brunch, to Smashburger which is quick, easy, and delicious. If you're in the area for a game but can't buy a ticket, Tom's Watch Bar is right across from Crypto Arena, so you can still get the game day vibes! Obviously, my Yelpers can tell you I'm a sucker for entertainment. L.A Live has superb venues for both large and more intimate events. My favorite venue in the area is the Peacock Theater, it's comfortable, stylish, and modern! Oh, and every seat in the house is great! The Novo also has a soft spot in my heart because it's also very comfortable. I've seen several shows here, and the bars are very sleek along with the decor. Yes, I love Crypto tooo, but the seats are to tight, so not as much as the other two venues. You'll find many hotels surrounding the L.A. Live area, you'll also notice the immense JW Marriott right behind Peacock which offers incredible views, hospitality, and food. Parking is almost $50 bucks so be prepared for that surprise at the parking garage. I recommend taking public transportation or a shuttle when traveling to L.A. Live. read more

12/8/25 for 11/29/25 LA Live Los Angeles, CA...My daughter and I hit this area up before going to the LA Kings hockey game! Always a great atmosphere and so neat to see an outdoor ice skating arena in downtown LA!!! It was cool to see the big Christmas tree in the middle of the outdoor ice arena and to take the ornament pictures with all this as a background. For this Holiday Season, it was definitely the most wonderful time of the year with my daughter!!! We will be back Dec 22nd, 2025 for the Kings game and to visit here again! read more

Love coming here during the holidays. LA Live is so lively specially when there is a game or a concert at the theatre. We have been here many many times over the years and always had a good time. Lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shop and during the winter ice skating. Last night we went to a Laker game at the Crypto and had an amazing time. We had dinner at Toms Watch Bar then walked over to the arena. There is a parking lot under the complex. The overall ambiance is great here. Walked around L.A. Live mostly lost trying to figure out how to get to the Grammy Museum. It's a big plaza lined with restaurants and off to one side is the Cryto.com Arena which has oversized statues you can take photos with. With all the billboards, the plaza also reminded me a bit of New York's Time Square. There's plenty of parking in the garages, but they're so expensive! Like when I got a validation card from the Grammy Museum, I was told it would take $5 off, but when I paid at one of the booths, it was $5 off of $40, so $35 total and we were only there for about 3 hours! So the plaza, restaurants, and Grammy Museum are cool to visit, but the parking garage is going to rip you off! read more

LA live is such a fun spot no matter the time of year! Came here yesterday to hang out when I needed a break from Anime Expo! While the restaurants were all packed, there was ample seating in the common areas outside. Despite being in downtown, it's still pretty clean and tidy and well maintained. There's a variety of things to do such as restaurants, bars and entertainment centers! There was a block party happening that blocked off part of LA live, and I was able to take a peak at it through the tent and enjoy the music. Parking is a bit pricy here due to the JW Marriott and all of the fancy restaurants and events occurring, but there's plenty of more affordable parking and street parking in the area if you don't mind a walk! read more

I've been to LA Live in my high school years and waowww it's so much more poppin now !! We got there at 8PM the day before x mas eve and it was suuuper packed. The line was about an hour and a half before we can ice skate. This is a fun place to go to w fwens :) ice skating definitely brought out my inner child but it's HARD so props to whoever is actually goood at this hehe Will be back soon & will take lessons beforehand ! read more

This place is phenomenol! The energy that brews here is timeless, electric, and fun! I was here during 2 games back to back and the Emmy's for TV awards. I got to experience the energy of this place sky rocket during the Thursday game for LA Kings & Detroit Red Wings. Then it exploded again when on Friday the LA Lakers played the Memphis Grizzlies. Simultaneously on Friday, the Emmy's for TV was being hosted at my hotel at the JW Marriott. There was so many electrifying energy in this venue as I walked around the perimeter of the block I wish I was able to contain it in a bottle. What a fun and festive area during the holidays! I was in town for business at the convention center. We decided to walk around and explore our first evening and came across the LA Live area. There was a Lakers game that Sunday evening, but to my surprise it wasn't super packed. It was neat to see all the statues of the basket ball legends. There was a huge line for the Kobe statue photo op and line for ice skating. It was fun people watching too on the ice rink. I have not been to downtown is literally years. How is a has been reinvigorated with LA Live. Easy parking and quality shops make it worth the visit. It's a bit property, however the security staff are more than friendly and helpful to give directions and information. read more

Decided to see a movie at the Regal during an Independent Film Festival and have dinner before. We parked in the suggested parking lot for the theater that was on the LA Live website. The movie was about longer than we expected and we went over the validated parking price by 39 minutes. When we went to pay for the parking we were shocked to see that it was $40. We called the attendant to ask because we thought that there was no way that that was correct and was met with an attitude and she hung up on us. Never again. I feel scammed. read more

So it Just depends on how long you plan to stay. Make sure you read the signs for parking areas & parking garages. Because you could end up paying more than what you anticipate. Especially If you plan to stay all day. If you don't mind a short walk, there's some all day parking available at some nearby lots for a flat fee. Look on LA Live's Website for more info about parking, restaurants & entertainment. I've been here a handful of times. Before & After Sporting Events & Before & After Concerts... There's newer restaurants & A Lazy Dog will be opening soon in 2023... It's usually crowded on the Weekends, especially if there's an Event. Sometimes there's Fan Events before a game where there's a lot of interaction like photo opps & games especially for the kids... During the Winter Holidays it's decorated & they have an outdoor ice skating rink. I'm remembering The Black Mamba & Mambacita =') & the Beautiful Memoriam that was placed all around LA Live & then Staples. The event I went to was uninspiring as they didn't have it organized to realize that they overbooked!! Very disappointing as I was expecting to get into a party on the top of the parking structure. LA live is exactly how it sounds; it's a lively place in Los Angeles. LA live offers many different entertainment options for people to enjoy a night out or even a day out. It has a huge arena called crypto.com, where you can watch basketball games, concerts, comedy shows, hockey games, and the list goes on and on and on. If you're hungry, you can go over to Yard House, Katsuya, or Fixings; again, the list goes on. If you need to rest or find a place to stay for the night, the Marriott is on site. There's a bowling alley and other venues like the Microsoft theater, Novo, and other little hidden places where you can just have a good time. I usually don't find myself in downtown because it can be a little overwhelming at times, but lately, I've been seeing myself coming more frequently, and every time I come, I find something that I had no idea existed. It's always a new adventure every time I go to LA live or within the surrounding areas. I highly suggest coming to LA live if you're looking for something to do or to just explore Los Angeles. What a perfect tourist trap. Unless you are going to a concert or sporting event, I don't know why you would ever want to come to LA Live. It's a pain to get to, the parking is expensive, it's crowded, and it's filled with overpriced &/or chain eateries. In other words, it sums up Los Angeles perfectly. It's full of sparkle, but just beyond that thin layer of glamor, there isn't a whole lot there. I really don't know what else to say. You come to LA Live because you have to. Not because you want to. Remember to plan your visit time we'll because there are certain durations when the rink is closed for a large part of the day. Be very mindful of the schedule. We go ice skating every year for the holidays. It was a good location. And a pretty Christmas tree. My kids had a good time. They had good restaurants nearby too so it worked out. It is very important to know the times the rink is open because when we got there it wasn't going to be open for a few hours. So we ate then got in line early before the rink opened. I'm going to have to give this place another try. I think if you are visiting it might be a cool place to come and walk around but for me it was a little underwhelming. We went to the ice skating rink which was nice. My only complaint is that that didn't have the Delta Skymiles line clearly labeled so we ended up standing in line and when we got to the front still had to go to the express line. It was our fault, but it could've been clearer signage. The rink was nice, not as cold as I expected but got pretty packed. A bunch of people who don't know how to skate, you can imagine the chaos. Our time slot was for 2 hours, but we were satisfied after one. The ice skating is seasonal, so it isn't there during the majority of the year. read more

Caught a concert at the Novo. 15th anniversary of Lupe Fiasco's "The Cool". Great concert despite a late start due to sound issues. The crowd was on it's feet all night. Lupe didn't disappoint. Shout out the bartenders at the VIP Bar they pour a serious drink. I highly recommend this venue. read more

This place is really versatile. Everything from X Games to Master French Chefs cooking in a stadium format. I have to admit I had no idea what I was in store for when I got here but the organizers transformed the top deck over the parking into a what almost seemed like a club.
