Motorwerks repaired for our beloved 2011 328i Coupe, which after 11 years of maintaining and preserving for over 90,000 miles, experienced a car-deer accident on the left front fender and driver-side door (yes, the deer actually hit the car, not the other way around). Rusty from Motorwerks was amazing to work with; he was friendly and knowledgable. My wife and I assumed the car could not be restored, but the incredible team at Motorwerks replaced the front fender, installed a new door, and then repainted that side of the car to a level that met our very high hopes. I was amazed by the fact they were able to match the metal-flake size (which was very fine in BMW's "Deep Sea Blue" metallic paint color). Their "paint guy" has 35 years experience, and it shows! I took my coupe here to have a premium catback exhaust installed and was very satisfied. They took about 2 hours and the tips sat even and fitment was precise. This part of Commerce Twp. may be a hike for many and for me coming from the East side - the ride through poshy parts of Oakland County was definitely pretty scenic with nice wooded, twisty, hilly streets - this was a rewarding on the ride back home after the exhaust was installed! These guys are very professional and over 90% of the cars they work with are high end imports such as Lexus, Infiniti, Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, Audi, Acura, etc. They are even accustomed to work with exotics such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Aston Martin, etc. and other high-end imports and high-power domestics all with professional expertise. The pricing on their labor is obviously not the cheapest in town but you can trust that they treat your car as their own and given that they work on some of the nicest rides in the Motor City - I would definitely trust my car with them for custom work/installations. I highly recommend this place for custom/aftermarket installations on all high end vehicles and newer cars, especially for owners like me who are anal about detailed work. The full wash/wax/dry complimentary with the job was actually pretty elaborate as well! The worse service experience I have ever experienced for my Mercedes. I went there as the dealership was backed up. Motorwerks fixed one problem and when I left I had another major issue that was not there when I dropped the car off. They claimed it was a coincidence and had my car running on 3 cylinders. Guess they were too busy to test the vehicle. I took it back and 4 days later they changed another part which was fine when I dropped the car off and they also changed a ball joint. BUT, apparently they only hand tightened the nut holding the ball joint on according to the mechanic in Grayling, MI. I am lucky to be alive as when this collapsed in northern Michigan on the highway. I expected a refund after paying them thousands of dollars for the initial repairs but they ignored this. So, needless to say my experience was horrific! read more

Rusty and the team did a great job in installing a new set of Tire Rack wheels on my F250. I knew it would be a bit out of their normal lane with the type of vehicles they typically service, however I trusted their experience with high end vehicles. Rusty was extremely friendly and explained their process and costs in detail. I watched their service techs as they worked on other vehicles. The staff moved purposely, carefully, and efficiently. They treated my truck with respect even though it wasn't a high end car. I've owned collectible and restored cars like competition M3s, a survivor 74 Pantera GTS, and restored 70 Mach I. They were the only ones that made time for my quick repair even though they were probably busy. I had my cl 550 worked on there, they charged me 330 for a wheel alignment plus wheel balancing!!! Here's the kicker though, my car came out worse than before, now my tires are wearing on the edges and the car is pulling to the right and my steering wheel still pulls to the left. They want to charge me more to "fix" it with a bolt on kit, but I'll pass. read more

Shop generally services German and European vehicles but I tested them for fixing my Japanese model 2002 Toyota Tacoma amid the COVID-19 pandemic since no other shops were open or willing to service. My truck had an intermittent problem that couldn't be resolved by others. Amazingly, these guys were able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly with apparent expertise - now the truck works great! Service was at slightly a premium but the experience and know-how was well worth it! I'll bring my Audi TT to them soon. This place is absolutely the worst repair shop I've dealt with. They seem to be a body shop or a car detailing Shop. That's why all the nice cars are in there. As far as Repairing your car these guys have no clue what to do. They worked on my X5 and both times the car stopped Working as soon as we received it. Took it to dealership And they found out the problem and fixed the car for a few Dollars. We requested our money back and they are unwilling to do so. This place is the worst! Horrible customer service and horribly skilled technicians. Took my vehicle in for repair, they fixed one problem after having my vehicle for a week and they damaged the front end and refused to fix it, saying that it coincidentally happened while it was there! As soon as I left the parking lot there was a loud grinding noise that didn't exist when I took it in. They never follow up. Horrible horrible experience. Stay away from this place!! Initially, I called up the dealership and spoke with Sachin, who's a consummate professional. The whole process of buying a car can be daunting; especially if you're not a car expert. Sachin walked me through what to look for when buying a used car. I immediately felt like I had a much better understanding of the process. Then, I explained to him what I was looking for in a car and he told me what cars would be a good fit for me. It's evident from talking to Sachin that's he's truly an expert on cars. Eventually, a car was available for sale that fit precisely what I needed. Sachin educated me on everything I needed to know about the car and made me feel right at ease. The entire purchase went as smooth as it could. When I showed up to purchase the car the general manager, Bill, showed me around the service center and highlighted what kind of work they do, which is quite extensive. Bill made it a point to let me know that they are available (even after work hours) to assist with any issues. I just can't say enough good things about these guys. The worst service I've ever received. I decided to go here because I was referred to them by two people. I was so very disappointed with the service. I wasted day and money. I came in with concerns regarding my truck. They run a diagnostic report and sent me off without any explanation on what was wrong with my truck. They said they needed to do additional research and would get back to me by the end of the day. They never called and after my second call at the end of the day, I was told I needed to go to the dealership it was software issues. It was misdiagnosed which is not a surprise since they didn't really check the truck. I wasted my time and money on an inaccurate diagnostic which they refused to reimburse. read more

They do not know much about cars nor are very friendly in addressing any issues with my car. They cannot even do proper hunter road force balancing and they even screwed up my alignment. My rear right wheel had a terrible camber as compared to my left rear and it was correct by my dealer. Forget this place. Bill is rude and I would avoid him at all cost. Overpriced and underwhelming. My service advisor from this place moved over to auto europe few years ago and has done well there. The mechanics and the owner at auto europe do a far much better job and fix every problems I have. I was tired of having a BMW, Lexus, etc with vibration problems when going to Motorwerks because their mechanic is so lazy that he cannot do a proper hunter road force balancing and blamed it on bent rims, etc which was found to be just perfectly fine at Auto Europe in Birmingham, Mi. Forgive me, I respect Satish but he really needs to step up and hire better mechanics and managers for Motorwerks. I am extremely disappointed in this place and anyone that continues to go to them is not looking at the big picture and being aware of what is being done properly on their cars. read more
