VWs can be maintenance hogs. I've had several, and though I can change oil and do a bit more, as I get older I want to do less and less. I tried to do some brake work on mine, and started to screw things up. Took it here hoping they could fix my mistake (and the original problem.) They did. They told me exactly what was involved, kept me informed about what was going on, and fixed a couple of other little things. They know what they're doing, and when you have a weird car that is important. They've been specializing in VWs and Audis for decades, and know their stuff. Prices are a bit high, but you get what you pay for. Some things you do not want to take to a chain or a local guy who might be a great mechanic but doesn't know the quirks of these cars. I hope I'm not back soon, but I'll be back next time I need something. Plus, their back lot has lots of cool cars in it.

When we called in to make an appointment l, they were prompt and super friendly. After having our car and thoroughly checking/testing, they were unable to duplicate the issue. They offered great advice and next steps if it were to happen again. And then they didn't charge us for any of it. Honestly, I can't believe it and wish they would have at least charged us some amount simply because they were amazing and truly did help us. It's amazing to find this level of service and I will never go anywhere else! This is the kind of business that truly deserves its 5-star review. P.S. They do services like oil changes, too. I know where we will go when it's due for any service.

Campus auto not only was able to diagnose the problem, but they were incredibly honest and upfront with me about the overall condition of my car. Their quotes were on par with other quotes I received. More importantly, their customer service is phenomenal and I really felt taken care of by them. I would 1000% recommend their service to anyone who is looking for an honest-to-good mechanic.

I had a serious problem with my AC: it blasted hot air when the car was in motion. My regular mechanic refilled the freon, tried to fix it, and found it was over his head. No charge for the labor, since he couldn't fix it, but $70 for the freon. He recommended I try the Toyota dealership. I went to the dealership, paid for the inspection, $300, which goes towards any work done. Was told I had two problems with the AC: the freon was over-filled, and the motherboard was bad. They guessed that the overfilled freon was the core problem, and the motherboard was causing a minor, unrelated issue. I expressed doubt, because the freon had just been refilled, and the problem had started before refilling it. The rep insisted that this was the most likely explanation, and that they had to refill the freon anyway. $350 for freon, of which $300 was already covered by the exam fee. Meanwhile $1.5k for the motherboard, which they didn't recommend replacing. So I pay for the freon, my rep says the problem's fixed. I drive away and as I do so I am blasted with 105 F air; the problem was not fixed at all, the freon was a red herring. I didn't want to spend $1.5k with a team that had already made one bad call so I decided to get a second opinion and chose Luke's based on their Yelp reviews. Luke's did an exam, $200 or $250, found that the freon was again overfilled, and thought the problem was with the HVAC actuator and quoted 2.3k. Ouch! (It's a lot of labor as they need to take out the entire dashboard.) I talked to both Luke's and the Toyota guys about their different opinions. Luke's was able to give me the error codes from their exam, while Toyota hadn't retained any paperwork at all. Moreover Luke's was willing to do a second exam, for free, to make sure they were right, while Toyota was not. Toyota agreed that if the actuator needed to be replaced, 2.3k was reasonable. I went back to Luke's for the second exam. They stood by their conclusions. So I bit the bullet and asked them to replace the actuator. They gave me a free car to drive while mine was in the shop. Turned out I didn't need it for long: they were able to replace the actuator quickly by going through a vent, rather than taking out the whole dash. This knocked about $1k off the job in labor. And when I got back in the car, lo and behold, it was fixed! I cannot overemphasis my elation. Luke's did better than the dealership, by a lot. They were accurate while the dealership was incorrect. They were scrupulous and offered a second exam for free. They figured out a way to save me money. And best of all they actually did the job. Highest possible recommendation.

In fact, I…read morewaited nearly 14 months before commiting my concerns to Yelp simply so I could rationally explain what a great mistake I'd made entrusting my car's service to them I'd purchased a used 2008 Saturn Vue in July 2017 (with an "As Is" warranty and 105,000 miles on it) from a local small car lot that has since gone out of business. From day one, the problems began. Before taking the car, but after complaining the front brakes felt mushy, the salesman (allegedly) had their mechanic perform a front only brake job. Within 500 feet off the lot, the check engine light came on. The gas gauge was off by half a tank. The front windows were stuck in the up position. (I was able to fix that problem myself.) The driver side headlamp burned out. The ABS sensor came on. And the passenger front end began making some very disconcerting noises. I didn't have a regular mechanic and had financed this vehicle for 36+months so I asked a co-worker who he'd recommend. He directed me to Noebull Automotive. Nearly $3,100 later I paid the charges in full and left the shop. Within 3 days of leaving the shop virtually every single repair came undone. The check engine light came back on. The ABS sensor reappeared. The fuel gauge tank unit (which was replaced) reverted back to the original problem, leaving me to "guess" how much gas I had within a day's time of "filling up". I was told the noise up front necessitated the installation of new front stabilizers and a sway bar assembly. Overall the steering improved (which may have been helped by an alignment also performed) but the ominous noises from the right front continued to occur. I brought all of my concerns to the manager's attention and he assured me things would be worked out. I brought the car back a day or so later (mostly because of the noises) and he determined that the catalytic converter was failing. In order to "save me" the cost of replacing it he offered to perform a Hail Mary technique of burning out the debris. $118 later nothing was resolved. As ALL of my savings had now been exhaused paying for work/fixes that consistently failed I resolved to sell the vehicle as quickly as possible and lick the financial wounds ALL-bull had visited on me. In short, they may have qualified and capable mechanics working for them but I think only rank amateurs worked on MY car. They saw me coming and cleaned my clock - a cautionary lesson to anyone else seeking automotive service from Noebull Automotive.
