Absolutely a great experience picking up a rented motorcycle getting some installation help with some parts. Good advice great facility, If I lived in San Francisco I'd be hanging out there a lot! Definitely my go to place.

Great place for riders of all ages and experience levels to gain a deeper knowledge of working on their motorbikes. Alex and crew are patient, seasoned and efficient at helping you repair and maintain your bike. Tools and equipment are provided as well as various lubes and smaller items. I replaced the swing arm and chain on my bike this weekend and it's never felt better! Surely, shops charge 2x and you learn nothing --and can't inspect the work in-progress. Moto Guild is the way to go!

Really amazing folks that work in this joint. It's a beautiful place that has everything ya need to take care of your loved one. Tons of lifts, tools, and knowledge to boot. Don't have a garage? You don't need one. You have this gorgeous place. Everything you need to tackle any job you need to do. I've traveled across the country and I'll tell ya, there aren't many places like this. Utilize this gem and support it with everything you got. Getting older you really understand that you absolutely need to take stock in the good businesses that do something positive for the two wheeled community! Get going!

Once in a while I revive my Yelp account when I feel very strongly about a business. I've been riding for 15 years and had several bikes but always took the easy route to pay a shop to do whatever was needed (even replace stock mirrors with after market!) because from 1 to 10, my mechanics skills are about -3. I ordered a new exhaust system not knowing that no shop in California would replace it because it's "not quite legal". Whatever. But the only option was to do it myself. Since I didn't even know what was the difference between a nut and a bolt, I am SO glad one of the shops I went to recommended Moto Guild! Craig's infinite patience with me was greatly appreciated guiding me every step of the way to 1. replace my entire exhaust system and 2. do an apparently much needed oil change. So in ~3 hours I went from zero to hero thanks to Moto Guild. Ok not quite, but at least I now know the difference between a nut and a bolt. Baby steps maybe, but like, baby elephant steps! (I'll definitely sign up for their maintenance 101 workshop when there's one available)

He also enjoys using his "status" as a way of putting down ppl and making them feel less than. All of the "lessons" you take at this "school" can be found for free online and there is absolutely no need to drop $14K or more. Not only that, you're expected to do all of your own work in terms of networking and finding jobs during and after. You're deemed a lazy, entitled brat if you're not doing most of the work yourself. So not sure what we're paying the tuition for? I'm not surprised by the reviews here. The owner uses bullying tactics to scare ppl from speaking out such as telling students he will ruin you and that knows all the CEOs and founders in silicone valley (I highly doubt such an assinine person would be accepted in those circles). Hence my need to make this account to avoid jeopardizing my own career that I built myself from scratch. If you contact alumni and ask for the real tea, you will find out these shiny reviews are a farce and I welcome you to do that to save yourself. I hope this review saves people a ton of money and emotional abuse caused by this establishment.

It has been several years since my experience at AIM and I am still grateful for all of it. My…read moreprimary care physician is a graduate and speaker there and so is my osteopath who still assists there. Both are important friends to me. The unkind and judgmental words---directed at me personally---from John B. of Oregon in his AIM review indicates the lack of empathy, sympathy, or understanding that another human being can have for another. I do not hold anyone at AIM responsible for the cruel attacks attempting to discredit another person's experience. I am happy that most students benefit greatly from Francesca's program. She has built noteworthy institutions in both the Academy of Intuition Medicine and Energy Medicine University. I admire her accomplishments and even mentioned her university favorably in my novel series. Something that could help others be more sensitive to and possibly grow in knowledge in is the misconception that the human ego is somehow negative or bad---as John B. chose to denote. In my experience, ego is an essential part of our being and absolutely necessary for soular development and eventual spiritual ascension . . . with a refined ego. I am sorry that my observations and personal experience triggers anger in some to the point where they feel berating and putting down another is the right course of action. It, of course, is not. Making assumptions based on ignorance hurts people. That would be the second thing a healer should know. The first . . . kindness helps people. John B. and Jean T. of Fairfax, who both wrote defensive reviews that misconstrued my words, who do not know what happened, who do not know me at all, made substantially wrong conclusions about my intentions and my actual statements. It is as if they didn't read my review at all and produced some alternate interpretation to exhaust their resentment to my experience which differed from theirs. The teachings and curriculum are just fine. Nothing cultish there. It is the cult-like devotion I witnessed every class meeting by the teaching assistants telling me all the various ways Francesca knows what is going on with each student---even in their private lives. I have always and continue to be open to any opportunity to learn . . . from any source. The large quantities of e-mails, materials, and coursework I received at the Academy was fascinating and I read everything I was provided. Learning for me is not mutually exclusive . . . it is a way of life to gather knowledge, to learn all there is to learn. It would have been nice to receive my MIM diploma, because I like to finish what I start. But, I was not given that choice. Francesca told me many times that "you are too advanced for this program." If anyone knows Francesca, they would know she never patronizes nor says anything she doesn't think is true. And, how many of you have ever heard Francesca repeat herself many times in the same conversation? That was the first and only time I've witnessed it. It saddens me that people didn't accept that Francesca might be right in her assertion about me. Somehow, some think the very notion of being too advanced is impossible ergo a white lie said to pacify a rebel egotist. According to several AIM graduates I've bumped into after my Yelp reviews came out, some things did in fact change at the Academy. This was my reason for the review, to help create positive change. It is good to hear that John B's class benefited years later. I imagine a world that does not merely tolerate differences. I imagine a people who see the pain of others and offer a space of kindness where true understanding can flourish. I had made an error in assuming AIM was one such possible haven. Consequently, I was the one who had been hurt back then. Quite a few people have written to me via Yelp commending me for my reviews of AIM depicting their same experiences accurately. I was well liked and respected by my fellow classmates. It was one teacher assistant and the instructor who resented me for asking a few innocent questions. I was openly punished and told, "if I don't trust her wisdom then I'd better leave." So, I accepted her punishment, kept quiet, and opted to willingly comply . . . yet, I was still eventually expelled. I was later called by my AIM mentor and told to ingratiate myself and beg to be reinstated to earn my spot back in the Masters program, because the same thing had happened to him and that was what he did. His apparent transference involved belittling me and invalidating Francesca's statements about my being too advanced for the Masters program. If John B. represents even a tiny percentage of how AIM people think and feel, it is case in point for my disappointment in the discovery that some intuitive healers are not spiritual, at all. Which I suppose is the main talking point the others are making---AIM teaches energy medicine, not spirituality. This happens to be my exact same point as well. Update 0019 Feel.

Admittedly, I went to her to prove that all of this couldn't possibly be true, that it was all new-age BS. My theory was wrong and instead I would find my life, spirit, and mind transformed for the greatest good. I am now truly happy and filled with gratitude. I truly believe if there are two things you should do for yourself, a Life Activation and the Empower Thyself workshop are the things to do. Both of these things will open up thoughts and possibilities that you may not be able to see now and it will give you daily practices that will enhance your whole life and help you create a higher level of peace and happiness. At least it did for me. I also believe that if you do these two things, you will want to do more and there is so much more to do and experience. I had my Life Activation done on January 17, 2019. From there, it was a whole new world. Within three days of my activation, I had an idea for a business to start (and I started it), something I never would've considered before. I didn't even make the connection to the Life Activation until 2 months later, which is a whole other story and feel free to message me if you want the long version. I then completed the Empower Thyself workshop and completed the prerequisite classes for Healer's Academy, which include 12 Races of Earth, Astral Travel, Journeys of the Spirit, and Sacred Geometry 1. I attended Healer's Academy in May and that was mind-blowingly awesome, it was pure magick. In addition, I had the Ensofic Ray Healing series, the Full Spirit Activation and the King Solomon Healing series. I have also completed Sacred Geometry 2, 3, and 4 and will be completing 5 in September. I will be attending Healer's Academy 2 in November and I am looking forward to it. I could speak for days about the wonders and blessings that have come to me since I started working with Erin and the Modern Mystery School; my life is now in alignment with my goals. Before January 17, 2019 I would have never believed I could be where I am today. I am a completely different person, for the better. I wake up happy and grateful every day. I see miracles everywhere. I see opportunities to be kind where before I just saw things to judge. I used to be sad, sarcastic, egotistical, judgmental, and cruel disguised as humor. The practices and knowledge I have gained within the Modern Mystery School have shown me how to be kind, grateful, humble, and open to learning. I approach life as if everyone has something to share and if I can be present for them then it turns out I am more present for myself. The Modern Mystery School, under Erin's guidance, has given me a life I never knew was possible. I am changed. I am grateful. I hope you will become a part of this community because it's amazing and we would love to meet you. Together, we can create space for everyone. Welcome to your potential... it's more amazing than you could ever imagine.

I decided to splurge on the first lesson and was gifted the second lesson. We put in at Crane Cove Park. I have been there many times but never swam in the water. I was outfitted with a wetsuit, helmet, and booties. I never felt cold while in the water. During my first lesson, they connected this radio to the helmet so I could speak to the instructor while out. It was super helpful because he could give me real-time feedback. In my second lesson, they did not have radios, so it was harder to communicate during the lesson. It really is so fun to foil, and I highly recommend it to anyone who might want to give it a try. If you wanted to feel comfortable doing it, unless you regularly surge/skateboard, it would probably take 3-5 lessons before you are zooming around standing completely, so definitely factor that in when it comes to cost.

The registration process on the archaic website is a touch on the byzantine side, though. It looks a lot like the very first website I ever coded when I was 16 years old. Uhh, now that I think about it, it looks like the website I designed a few years ago. But I'm no web designer, so hah! Point being, you're gonna have to dig around a little bit to find what you're looking for, but once you've found it, the actual act of registering for a class is pretty straightforward. Now, back to the woodworking instructors: Between the Bill and Dave, they've got about 70 years experience, 20 fingers, 20 toes, and 8 eyes (they both wear glasses). When I enrolled, I was already practicing some hypnotherapy as an adjunct to my EFT counseling practice, and I wanted to take my knowledge a little deeper. After attending the info session, I signed up and waited six months, knowing the institute had international renown. I assumed I'd get some solid professional training out of it. Little did I know what awaited me. After just a few weekends in the local Weekend Program, it became clear why HTI consistently shows up in the top three recommended programs--and why many consider it the very best place to train. 1. Breadth and Depth of Training What sets HTI apart is its truly integrative orientation. Students are exposed to a wide range of schools of thought (e.g., Ericksonian, transpersonal, and more) as well as diverse domains of practice (e.g., medical hypnosis, stress resilience, deep emotional clearing, resolving inner conflicts, hypnosis for problem-solving). Like any serious graduate-level study, it's up to each student to dig deeper into particular approaches of interest--but HTI provided quality resources at every step of the way. More importantly, the curriculum emphasizes practice. We had abundant supervised sessions and received thoughtful, detailed feedback. Few training programs in hypnotherapy can say the same. This emphasis on practical application--alongside the solid theoretical foundation--taught me to listen deeply, attune to the client, and meet them exactly where they are. 2. Confidence in Practice Because HTI grounds students in principles rather than rigid techniques, I developed the freedom and intuition to use whatever works best for each client. The training is structured in such a way that I've naturally found my way into my own unique style or practice. I now feel 100% confident walking into sessions with clients presenting novel or complex issues, knowing I can skillfully navigate and facilitate meaningful outcomes: blindfold me, spin me around, and drop me in an unfamiliar place with a new client and a novel issue, and I am confident that I can facillitate an amazing process for them. Before HTI, I was preoccupied with "doing it right." Now, that anxiety has been replaced by a simple guiding question: What would make this even more excellent and helpful for my client? What a beneficial and meaningful shift for clients to have a therapist that has her eyes on that! This shift is priceless. It allowed me to see hypnotherapy as much an art as it is a science, and it gave me the confidence to trust my skills in any situation. 3. Faculty and Mentorship The depth of the curriculum reflects the hearts and minds of those who teach it. Each instructor has a unique style, and I've learned something invaluable from every one of them. I truly feel I stand on the shoulders of giants. I found the faculty to be very personable and professional, both. It would be hard to overstate how profound Randal's (the founder's) presence is--his passion, his dedication to the work, and his unflagging commitment to his students. He taught me to stand for each client I serve, to bring love and integrity to the work, and to listen so deeply that the next step in the session becomes self-evident. 4. Transformative Impact In my professional life, I strive for excellence and integrity. I found HTI to be a shining example of both. For perspective: my Master's degree in transformative psychology and learning cost me about $60,000. HTI tuition was a fraction of that--and I would value it at $80,000 or more, given the training and personal development it offers. In truth, HTI developed me far more than graduate school. The impact was not just professional but deeply personal. Because I was continually being hypnotized and developed by both staff and peers, my own life transformed in ways I can barely put into words. Without exaggeration, I now divide my life into "Before HTI" and "After HTI." 5. Balanced Notes If I had to offer a critique, it would be small things: Randal's preference for chairs in rows instead of circles, or wishing lunch breaks were a bit longer. That's it! *** If you're considering, do it. May you find the courage to take the leap into this exquisite world beyond your imagination. For me, HTI was one of the best decisions of my life.

I trained at the Hypnotherapy Training Institute and had an outstanding experience. The instructors…read moreare excellent, and the training is truly client-centered, coming from the heart while still being rigorous, practical, and grounded in real-world application. The in-person experience and curriculum are what set HTI apart. You're trained to think critically and respond to each client's needs in real time, not just apply techniques mechanically. The result is a program that consistently develops some of the best hypnotherapists in the world. Beyond the professional training, I met incredible people and experienced personal growth I never would have expected. This program set off both my career and my life in powerful ways. If you're committed to becoming an effective hypnotherapist, or even your own healing, I can't recommend it highly enough.

I cannot recommend the Institute of Urban Homesteading's Cheese Making Intensive enough…read more This day and a half "intensive" is a combination of the cheese making 1, 2 and 3 classes, taught by IUH founder Ruby. It's fast-paced and she throws a lot of information at you, but the whole process is warm, interactive and accessible. I immediately felt like I could leave Ruby's home and make these cheeses (and other dairy products!) we had learned in my own. I especially love that she's found what seems like the perfect middle ground between science lesson and home-cook/homesteader understanding. She brings her personal experience in with just enough of the science and technical understanding to make home cheese making incredible accessible and attainable. I also love that IUH also has a sliding scale for fees because it demonstrates the value they put on what they teach in making these classes more widely accessible. I already have the summer farm tours on my calendar, and I can't wait to take my next class.

I haven't done anything with this organization in years, but thought highly of them in the past…read more Over the past couple of years I've tried to unsubscribe from their emails. I just tried again today using their "unsubscribe" link. What I got back was NOT a confirmation that I'd been unsubscribed. Rather, it was a detailed email from an unknown (to me) mail server company which wanted me to click on THEIR link to actually unsubscribe. I'm not about to click on an unknown link from an unknown sender. I think a direct request using the "Unsubscribe" link in an Urban Homestead email and sent from the very email address I want unsubscribed is absolutely sufficient. I do not recommend getting on their email list.
