Customer service here has been consistently great for years. This being the only local Cycle Gear I'm grateful they're friendly and competent. Parking for motorcycles right out front is a huge bonus. Parking for cars..there's a 10min max white curb just past the moto spots on the right (north/west) side of Harrison. If youre going to be inside for more than a few, there's paid street parking on 11th and 12th streets. read more

Bought my helmet and gloves to get ready for a motorcycle safety class, and was helped out to the best I can ask for. Fast forward 2 years later, now that I am riding more frequently, I was knocked out of my lane close to home in a hit and run. I purchased a Bluetooth headset with video recording online. A staff named Ben installed the mic, speakers, and Bluetooth device in 15 minutes. What was really amazing is that Cycle Gear does this for free. Makes me feel that folks at Cycle Gear really looks out for us riders. Ben even tried his best to refuse a tip I gave him, but asking a specialist for free work did not agree with me. Cycle Gear is run by liars and thieves who advertise/sell items they don't have, gladly taking your money knowing they don't have the item(s) in stock... Then, they refuse to refund your money, even though they can't fulfil your order in a timely manner, giving you no idea when the order might be shipped ... Previously, they refused to refund me for a damaged windscreen because I opened the package. Well, I didn't know, nor could you tell, that the windscreen was indeed damaged while still inside of the package... Dealing with Cycle Gear is easily one my worst retail experiences, ever, be it online, or in person... I seriously suggest that you buy from someone else, because Cycle Gear could care less about the quality of their service or the quality of the products they are selling! read more

I been a customer of cycle gear and revzilla since I can remember and I never had an issue I bought the most expensive motorcycle lock I could find, it was the abus 8008, today I removed the lock from the motorcycle and it was beeping non stop for no reason, I had to remove the battery, I called cycle gear and I was told that cycle gear has a 90 day return policy and that is fine but since I am paying full price for a product I expect someone to guarantee what they sell when is not the buyers fault and cycle gear is not the one I wrote a review about the lock and I can find it, I guess only good reviews are allowed -Responsé to the message I received, I don't know how to respond so I'll do it here Hello before I posted this message I called cycle gear and they didn't seem to care so I am not going to bother sending emails but thanks read more

I never leave this shop without buying at least one thing I hadn't planned on getting but hey 90% of the stuff you can buy in here will make you safer when you're riding on the street so that must spending more must be a good thing right? The staff is extremely helpful, they're invariably friendly and never hard sell you. They accept returns without any hassle which is important given how pricey moto gear is. I came to Cycle Gear with my friend here to get some gear for his motorcycle classes. He is not very familiar with what's good to get so Khalid helped us out, which was an absolute blessing! He's usually there on Sundays only, but we were lucky that he came in on a Saturday to provide all sorts of advice on the types of gloves and jackets to get. There is a HUGE variety of supplies here (truly a one-stop shop) and good for all levels of motorcyclists, whether you are just starting out or have been riding for years. The only thing I dislike is the fact that many of the clothing articles are incorrectly labeled (i.e. Medium jacket on a hanger labeled Large) and not all discounted items have tags advertising the discount which is misleading. Whoever does the restocking... you have ONE job!! According to other Yelp reviews, some of the staff can be less friendly and service-oriented, so I guess we were lucky to run into Khalid. Cycle Gear - My first leather jacket!!! - Motorcycle Gear Near Me - San Francisco, California

I've been going to Cycle Gear since they were on 2nd Street. That was a couple decades ago I'm sure. I'm pretty sure I got the leather I wear now, there. I paid something like $300 bucks for the jacket and leather pants on clearance. I've probably worn the pants twice as a joke since I'm not really a leather pants wearing kind of guy. The jacket is a typical sport bike/cross over/biker jacket. I'm not a biker. That's a life style that I don't live. I'm not really even a motorcycle enthusiast. I don't get all gooey about this bike or that bike. I don't have a deep desire to own a specfic make or model of motorcycle. I ride a motorcycle because I live in a place that's a particular traffic nightmare and a motorcycle makes it bearable. It's quick, efficient, inexpensive transportation. Granted for the amount of riding I do now, the 1100 cc's are more than necessary but I used to ride a lot further each day and every day. Now I don't ride but a couple to a few times a month. Which brings me back to Cycle Gear. Stuff wears out. 30 year old bungie cords just need to be replaced. Every so often I'll decide my helmet has been dropped too many times (once hard is all it takes to render it an ornament and no longer protection) and drop the $4 to $6 bills for another good one. They aren't cheap so subsequent helmets get too scratched and funky to wear long before they become too damaged to be useful. Cycle Gear to the rescue. It's getting harder and harder to find helmets without ears or fur or floresent colors and just plain old non poser gloves, but if you ask, they can order old people gear for you. I can't tell you how long I'll continue to ride. My parents told me for decades "that things going to kill you!". They're both dead and I'm still riding. No body gets out of this life alive. No sense hiding from risk, I might as well live while I'm here. read more

Cycle Gear SF is amazing. And one of the reasons is that they have a knowledgable staff. Quite often when you go into a store, Radio Shack, a moto dealership or whatever. The staff is clueless. And what is worse is when they pretend to know what they are talking about. Don't do that. Its obvious. CGSF has a staff member that rules. Holly knows her shit! She gets to the point. Knows how to use the catalogs. Super professional and a hard core moto gal. She is an asset to not only CGSF but also to my business. If I need a part or a tire mount SFCG has the hours and prices that make choosing them a "no-brainer". Inventory oas good but goes quick on the best deals such as the cheap moto tires. Otherwise, be patient and your parts will arrive. "Four Stars" because I have never given five. Nothing is perfect. But CGSF is about as close as it gets for me. read more

Then a guy pulls up on a motorcycle and didn't know the store was already closed, then asked about a certain part that he was going to get in the next day.Stan tells in a decimal thing you won't come on inside you can get that now so you don't have to come back. Now that's how a manager of a store should be, cycle gear better know how great this manager is. So in this case Dan is the Man!
