I had the halibut burger. I loved the dill mayo, and the halibut was perfectly breaded and fried. I had it with a side of onion rings. For dessert I had the peach pie. It was to die for. The crust gave me memories of my grandma. The service was very friendly. You could tell this place was a staple of the community with people coming in for take out orders or paying their bills and the staff knew all about them and their families. He was thorough, he knew his business, and he was polite with a great sense of humor. My partner had the bacon bleu burger and I had the aftershock smash. Like a scene out of When Harry Met Sally, we had all sorts of specific requests: no onions on this, Swiss instead of cheddar, whatever. The kiddo took this all in stride, unlike the professional he was repeated our order back to us without having made one mistake. By the way-it was all quite good. Burgers were good. Fries were good. The only offhand request would have been allowing me to try the speciality lemonade as part of my combo-we would have paid the up charge. Both were quite good as well. I could have seen a five star, and it was quite close, just not quite there. We'd go again though next time we are in Parksville!
