Now everyone and their dog likes nice-smelling things - candles, lotions, aromatherapy oils, soaps, lip balms, body scrubs, lip polishes - It's outta control! Every time I've walked by Bath & Body Works it looks like it's Boxing Day. This place is a mega warehouse for everything that smells, softens and soothes. It's pure sensory overload! The bottle of creams are stack on shelves, in cubbies, on tables and in glass cases like fine jewelry or clothing. It's almost comic that so many people are milling through the aisles trying to find the body cream that defines them. Is it key lime verbena or pina colada passion? Don't get me wrong. I love this stuff. But the quality of product here is a bit watered down. It's not as good as Body Shop or spa-quality products. But that isn't stopping people from shopping here in droves. They're going to give Body Shop a run for their money.

If you haven't, where have you been?? This store is usually jam-packed with people, but lately it seems it's even more so, if that's possible. BBW now has their new Christmas fragrances out, and prepackaged gift sets as well, so shoppers are probably racing to get their hands on those. The scent is quite heavy when you walk into the store. My boyfriend, who doesn't quite like fragrances, said it smelled like overdone curry. But don't worry, he thinks Chanel No. 5 is some classified document to protect the country from invasion or something. They have their classic scents like Lime Verbena and Warm Vanilla Sugar, as well as new ones like Twisted Peppermint and Black Amethyst. The bath and body products are at the front of the store, while makeup, skincare, haircare and home fragrances are located in back. The cash register is also all the way in back, which is a clever ploy to get you to walk through the whole store. They have some pretty good deals on right now too, like 3 antibacterial hand soaps for $12. I saw many empty shelves though; things go pretty quick here! And I'm not exaggerating when I say it was mayhem when I went. You would've thought it was already Christmas! I needed to fight my way through the crowds. Just remember to be cautious while having fun here. Lots of people use the spray testers liberally, so be careful you don't get accidentally sprayed!

They have a wide selection of sizes, from XSmall to 3X. I'm about a size 24/3X and some of their 3X items are almost too big on me, which always makes me smile. The staff treats me with the same respect they give small to average size women, which in my experience doesn't happen often in a plus/regular mix size store. Along with clothing, they have accessories, fun items like socks and sweets, and a wall of personal care items like bath bombs, body cream, hand sanitizer, and aromatherapy. The owner, Laura, is an amazing member of the community who supports other small businesses and brought joy to my family at a rough time when we were missing a loved one. She wasn't asked, she just offered and we will always be thankful to her for her act of kindness.

These products don't cause irritation to my very sensitive skin, and they are able to keep it looking fresh and pretty as I'm getting older, even under makeup and even in office environments with dry air all day long. Their customer service is exemplary. Give their cleansers, hydrators, serums, moisturizers, and exfoliants a try--they are gentle, effective, and very reasonably priced for the quality products.

I went in and saw the product and was approached immediately. It was great the the associate provided me with information that was consistent with the information that I read online. She made suggestions about how to use the product and showed me other products in the line without being pushy to try to get me to buy more and items that I may not need. Having used the hand cream recently, I also asked about it and she showed me the cream and gave me information about it. There were products in the men's line that she also showed me and knowledgeable about how and when to use them. I liked that her and another associate spoke about the products having used them or her boyfriend having used them. In addition to the purchase, they are generous to offer and provide samples. Even if they don't have packets, they make samples in little containers to take home and try. I was give quite a few samples. I've been using my dark spot solution for about a week now and I haven't noticed much difference yet but hopefully the dark spots will diminish. They were having a promotion where every $30 spent would get a coupon for $15 off purchases in the next few weeks. I ended up with 3 of these cards and they can't be used at once and on a minimum purchase of $30 so I will be back and pick up a few more items.

I don't know why - I am a beauty and skincare product junkie. I think I just always thought their stuff was super expensive, so I stuck with my usual, in-my-price-range-but-not-amazing drugstore stuff. No more! I'm officially hooked on this stuff. So yeah, $25 is more than you'll pay at Shoppers for a face wash, but this stuff is the shizz. I've given in and ponied up for the face wash, moisturizer, overnight cream, toner, and more. But it's WORTH IT. Regardless of how awesome the products are, I just need to shout out the staff here. They are geniuses. Because Kiehl's doesn't just have one face wash, they have like, twelve. But these guys and gals know which one is right for you. And then they'll write it down on a card for you and store it in the system so you always know which products to get next time you come back. WEM, thanks for adding this long-overdue skincare dream store to your collection of shops!

Saw pretty little signs around the neighbourhood for Th Makers Keep, advertising that it is a…read more'local collective boutique'. I like to support local where I can so I decided to check it out. Despite the address being on 122 St, it's actually located in a ground floor suite right on 121 St right across from the Brewery District, close-ish to 104 Ave. There is angled parking out front. It's a cute and quaint little boutique filled with treasures beautifully displayed. My favourite was a selection of jewelry tucked in between pages of an antique novel by the door (when you see it, you'll understand). There was inspirational home decor, some cool stuff like concrete diamonds, some baby and kid's clothing (including these adorable baby headbands), lots of unique jewelry, cool razors, little succulents.. It's a bit like shopping at a local market but with everything in one pretty place. There is even a little coffee corner at the back. Prices seemed pretty reasonable. I would definitely recommend popping if you're looking for some unique gifts.
