Honestly, the night stay was way better than expected. Decided to do a staycation or overnight stay here because we needed to be in Sonoma the next morning. Reviews, location, and motel 6 in general seems sketchy and iffy, but we decided to chance it. I'm assuming because it's closest to a theme park, it was going to be a little bit more kept up with and it was! The room was decently clean, but the bed blanket was stained and so were some towels. The door was kinda scary as it wasn't the most secure door, and the guests staying there were very odd! Looked like a bunch of addicts :(, the lady next door had a dog who barked late at night and even kept the door open and yelled a lot at it! The reception guy was friendly, and was more professional than he looked. Although kids and pets are free, unfortunately it's cheap because there are no other amenities or complimentary services. Only free coffee, which we couldn't even find ! lol Would I stay here again, probably not, but we survived the stay! read more

The smell is horrible in the room. It smells like dog urine with an old musty smell. The beds are so uncomfortable and really hurt your back after one night of sleeping there. You can feel the springs and I even brought extra cushion which didn't help. read more

Honestly I feel if the room was clean it may have been worth it but it wasn't and to get the smoke smell oit I had to purchase products. Checked into my first room only to find lots of dirt and hair on the floor and urine on the toilet seat. We checked in this morning at around 2am this morning and went to utilize the outlet to find crickets in my room, then go to use the shower only to be joined by roaches. The bed has been on its last leg like 3 months ago. Never seen a mattress with more potholes than a street in Vallejo. Customer service was a joke. My wife is disabled and has disabled plates, and was told she can not park in the handicap space because it's saved for the manager which happens to be disabled but not at the property and spot has been coned off stating managers parking only and is quick to come out and start their parking lot patrol. I've got pictures. I would never recommend this location to anyone. I REGRET STAYING HERE. You are not alone... They are watching.(insects, critters and creeps.) Grosses experience ever!! My daughter and I arrived, first impression- this place is located in such a sketchy area and looked like a complete shit hole. I hoped the rooms would be at least clean for a few days stay. WRONG!! List of issues and please look at these pictures before staying here. In lobby to checked in, two different people came In with complaint about this in the room. No hot water, etc.. Went to room- walked in playing to be clean, bed sheet and pillow case stained with who knows what. Went to front desk, they had the maid check needing. Went back to room once she was gone and fixed the sheets. New sheets still still stained. Went back to the desk. Finally got a good one. I started looking at the rest of the room, here my findings- Blood on floor between the beds Floor dirty Shit in walls The I remembered the one lady saying there was no hot water. I went in bathroom to check hot water. Bath tub plugged up. Third time to front desk and now I'm pissed. Plumber came fixed bath. Maid came and wipe more such done. It's was late, we had just drove for 7 hours so I got wipe and clean everything touchable down. This is a light industrial or manufacturing area. Next door all night had loud music and Harley's driving up and down revving all night which echoing through the location. Canceled my 2nd night - missed up my weekend trip because close by hotels were booked. This hotel changes for two night 461.00. WTH!! read more

Truly the worst Motel 6 I've ever stayed at and a true shame for it to carry the name. The room smelled like smoke upon arrival and was dirty. Graffiti is present everywhere in the room, including the toilet seat. If you want to feel like you're sleeping in a gas station, then this is the place for you! read more

Easy check-in, easy parking, and it's basic shelter without major issues. No bed bugs, didn't feel dangerous. If it's the cheapest option and you just want a place to crash for a few hours, I guess it's do-able. Personally, I'd pay extra for something a bit nicer. The bed seemed clean enough, but things were pretty dilapidated. The popcorn ceiling looked like it had been hastily plastered up after water damage. The shower didn't work as well - half the water came out of the head, the other half out of the faucet. The place had a peculiar smell as well. The room was small, and outlets were pretty minimal. I have spent many, many nights at Motel 6s over the years - mostly because of their unbeatable prices (especially for single travelers) but particularly for their dog-friendly policies at no charge. A few years ago, I stayed at this particular Motel 6 and I was so unnerved by the unsavory characters hanging about that I actually called my sister and said, "If you don't hear from me by 9 am, call the police." This site was also undergoing renovations and I was put in a room that had not yet been fixed - stained bathroom, a TV that didn't quite work, a heating unit that hung precariously from the wall and made quite a racket. Fast forward a few years later and on my way to Sausalito last weekend, the bad weather forced me to overnight here. I should have spent the extra 5 minutes to drive to the other Motel 6 in town, which is much newer and nicer. Not much has improved here. The room I was in had a tub that leaked nonstop (drip, drip, drip) and the carpet just outside the bathroom door was soaking wet. And that was BEFORE I took a shower. I actually had to dry my hair by the bed because I was afraid I'd electrocute myself if I was anywhere near the wet carpet. No thanks, I'll spend my $42 somewhere else. read more

You know a place is bad when you wake up in the night 4 separate times to go check on your car to make sure nobody busted the window to break in. I am going to be honest here. I really knew nothing at all about Vallejo CA. And if you have read my other reviews you know the family likes to take trips to theme parks all across North America, it is kind of our thing. So we made a Christmas trip up to Northern CA for Discovery Kingdom and Great America. Like I said I knew nothing about Vallejo, I mean the place is 15 miles from NAPA Valley now how bad can it be? hahahahahaha Live and learn. When I first pulled into the Motel 6 parking lot I immediately got terrible vibes. This place just looked like a drug motel on Beach Blvd in Orange County or 27th ave hooker motel in Phoenix. Drugged out hookers, homeless, people living in the motel. It was just bad. I was there a whole 10 seconds and some drugged out dude walks up to me asking me to borrow tools. I was like bro I don't have tools with me. Then he goes come on I know you got tools and starts looking in my vehicle. I didn't want to be completely rude to this guy but I was like man I don't have anything. Of course I know what he was doing since I am "street smart" he was casing my car to see if anything was of value to come back later and bust in. And I was scared because I did have things of value in the car, like tools and some Christmas presents. So after realizing I wasn't going engage this man he finally leaves. He got the hint. So I head to check in. They weren't the warmest of people. Very seasoned, like most workers at drug motels are. They just had that look. And if you don't know what the hell I am talking about, go to a drug motel and walk up to the front desk and say hi. LMFAO. This isn't the Hyatt or the Four Seasons. I check in and head to my room. Carlos Sr was with me and the min we opened the door a cloud of Marijuana Smoke was released. I kid you not. I was like WTF. I can't sleep in here with all this weed smoke. I have a little kid with me too. BTW this was a non smoking room. I head back to the lobby. I tell them whats up and they look at me like I am fucking crazy. I was like I asked for a Non Smoking room and I am allergic to smoke, cigarettes, weed, BBQ any kind of damn smoke. Finally they take me serious and change my damn room. I think they realized I was a tourist visiting the Six Flags Discovery Kingdom park and not some dude checking in to bang a hooker or get high. The next room wasn't too bad but had some serious damage like punched holes in the shower that maintenance just caulked up. At that point I was like whatever and just said we got to deal with this because we ain't getting our 75 bucks back. Yeah this dump cost 75 damn dollars. What a ripoff. So later I head back to the car to get some bags and water and it seemed like at least 4 people were eyeballing my every move. Seriously freaked me out. No joke they were just standing on the rail and completely staring at me and my car. I knew for sure they were going to bust in during the night. So much so that I came back down to check on my car like 4 or 5 separate times during the night. My anxiety was through the roof. Thank god my car didn't get busted into. I dunno if they noticed me checking it over and over and decided not to mess with it or what. But yeah that was my intention by checking it over and over. So the next morning when I checked out the front desk guy who was still the same guy said, "no weed smell this time" almost mocking me. I just laughed it off and checked out. Btw Discovery Kingdom wasn't that great you can see my review of the park so in conclusion we decided that most likely this will be our first and last staying in Vallejo the rest of our lives. Also do yourself a favor and never stay in this city, the whole town just is sketchy. Stay outside far away and drive in, if you need to visit this place. read more

I parked my car in the parking lot and I left my window open the next day I woke up and noticed everything was still in my car very safe place to stay at. I visited the Motel 6 on 10/13/18 and it was a lovely experience starting with the receptionist. I could not get into the room working the card key because I did not know how and asked the housekeeper who pleasantly opened my door for me. The room was clean and as I was laying down the phone rang it was the receptionist asking if I found everything great, I was shocked as we have been at another hotel in Vallejo and got no such customer service as this. We will certainly be back to stay. Keep the lights on for us. read more

Old beer, cigarette butts and vomit is the only way to describe the stench. And it was STRONG. In the end, I just asked for a refund, I'd been back and fourth for an hour dealing with the front desk and I had enough. Finally I wanted a refund, and she resisted, The lady at the front desk offered me an air freshener. Lady, you need a hazmat team to clean that out. Worst. Dump. Ever. Terrible experience. I checked in at 7pm and went to work leaving my girlfriend there with her cousin. When i got back at 2am is when i found out the kicked the entire room out for not having id. When i returned alone after work and i do have an id they would not let me stay in my room no refund at 2a.m.. i can understand kicking people out that dont have i.d. but not me being tthe one with id and being the one who rented the room they kicked me out snd put onto do not rent list. We stayed here two nights for BottleRock 2018 and had a great stay! The room was basic but clean. There was 24/7 security and the staff were friendly and helpful. Dennys shares a parking lot so late night eats close by. If you're a family going to Discovery Kingdom, this may not be for you (no pool)... But someone looking for a good spot to sleep... For value you can't beat Motel 6. However always, always, always make sure you check online. You'll save on the daily rate if you can reserve in advance. There is a Denny's restaurant on site here so you don't have to travel far for food (when the usual vending machine menu doesn't fulfill your craving). Very clean and quiet. Direct access off of Rt 37 and Sonoma Blvd. About a $12 cab fare from the ferry terminal. The Amtrak California bus connection stops directly on Sonoma within 100 yards from the motel. They do have HP accessible rooms, but best to reserve online in advance if you can. A couple of fast food joints are nearby. read more

Employees here are extremely unprofessional. They called us twice to Harass us about noise which we weren't even making. Apparently they can hear everything since our room was above the main office but it was ridiculous and extremely unprofessional the way they said it. First of all, we weren't even moving around in the room we were literally both laying down the whole day and my uncle opened the door because he just got back from getting food. We then get a call from the main office saying to "stop stomping on the floors because they can hear it" like I'm sorry we took 2 steps and haven't even been moving for the past hour. Then the next night we were literally just laying down and we get another call and this lady says in a very rude way "you need to keep it down you're above the main office" like wtf keep what down??? We haven't even got out of bed and you're complaining about noise if any little sound is so irritable to you don't make a room above your shitty office. After that we decided we had enough and packed our things and decided to leave. We then get another call and she says that we aren't supposed to have anyone else in the room. Like what? How are you going to assume we have someone else in the room when we already discussed it was 1 adult and 1 16 year old which you said was fine. The room itself was nice but whoever that lady is was very unprofessional and needs to chill the fuck out! Don't talk to people like you're above them. No one should stay here go find somewhere else where the front lobby workers aren't complete fucking idiots. read more

This place is in the ghetto if your going to six flags there is another motel 6 right up the street from the park that's closer. Why this one says 6 flags in the name I don't know!! and the other one has a pool it was the same price. This place has a lot of traffic people coming and going !! I was looking forward to coming here, after seeing photos of the updated modern rooms. I found a 10% coupon discount code, so the rate was good compared to everywhere else. The room was clean and nice, it is basic efficiency. I was annoyed atvpaying $3 a day for very slow wi-fi service though. I used the bathroom,being here less than 1/2 hour,I was only in there a minute,and a big roach fell from the ceiling fan vent, I was very surprised! I put a peice of big tape over the broken vent slot,there wasn't roaches crawling all over or anything but it was an uneasy feeling the rest of the night and next day. I saw a smaller roach crawling on the bathroom door tho. There was some guests arguing loudly outside but it wasn't super loud or crazy. In this Bay Area rent crisis,its hard to find anything even available,let alone affordable and decent. In comparison,this is a goodprice for what you get. read more

My wife and I spent our weekend at this Motel 6 and we are delighted by our decision to stay at this Motel. The Motel is located in a quiet and open area and it's not far and easy accessible from freeway. The front desk team are welcoming and helpful. The room is clean and fresh towels and toiletry items are in place. Wifi connection is satisfactory. There is no swimming pool facility at this Motel, but it's located close to 6 flags amusement park and some nice restaurants. We will definitely return to this Motel when we visit Vallejo next time and we will strongly recommend you to try this Motel too. read more

I'm giving 4 stars because this motel 6 had great customer service and great management. the room was renovated with nice bedding, curtains and furniture. The design was modern and sleek. The linens were clean and smelled nice and the floor is wood throughout. The parking is somewhat lit, and there was a security guard wandering about. The motel is also close to the freeway, shopping and right next to a Denny's. The management was friendly and polite when we entered and throughout our stay. They do not have a microwave or fridge in each room but they have vending machines and ice near the office and a microwave in the office. I can see that they are trying really hard to keep the motel as safe and nice as possible. The motel management is not responsible for the people who are staying there or wandering about, I am sure they ask those who are loud or wild to leave. The motel 6 is really good pricing for around the area and I would recommend it for people who will be touring either Napa, St. Helena, or Calistoga, because it's not that far (although it will take 30 min or so) of a drive to the sites, and it's a nice straight drive. Unfortunately because the price is low, there may be people around you do not want to see, and like all other hotels/motels, they do not run a background check before allowing guests to stay there..... However the motel management treats everyone the same, in a polite manner, as he should. If there are any incidents of noise control or violence I'm sure that those people would be asked to leave. read more

I was going to give three stars, as it is completely adequate for a motel 6 in the ghetto, but I had a customer service issue when checking in. Despite warning the front desk clerk a week in advance that I wouldn't be checking in until very late, he still rented my room to someone else, as I did not pick up his "confirmation call". Nowhere in the Expedia ad does it warn that there will be one placed, and it was very frustrating, as I was put in a smoking room. I reek of cigarettes as a result, and had trouble sleeping. The tweakers next door screamed at each other until around 5 AM, but the management can't be faulted for having their motel in Vallejo, I guess. I would have been perfectly satisfied if it weren't for the smoking room thing. Watch out for that. read more

What a fucking nightmare! My 13 year old son and i had made reservations for a last minute trip to six flags the night before. We enjoyed our day out and then arrived to this mess. I knew as soon as I turned onto this street I'd made a mistake! Not being familiar with the area, I didn't realize how rough this neighborhood was! Upon entering the non smoking room it reeked of stale smoke, body odor, old beer. The bathroom and floors dirty. I inspected the beds. Mine had blood and pubic hair on the sheets. My sons looked like bodily fluids were shot all over it...cigarette burns...long black curly hair. I told my son to gather our stuff while I go to the office and demand a refund. The clerk was an asshole to put it lightly. "At the end of the day lady, it's a motel 6, what did you expect?" There were groups of men propositioning women outside, drugs being used in clear view in parking lot, I was being eyeballed and having men licking their lips saying disgusting things. "It's not my motel, I just work here. I have no control over what they do to you." Really? How about call the cops you piece of shit!? This place is unsafe for women and children. And anyone who's not a whore or tweeker!!! I will be contacting authorities, better business bureau and corporate. You fucked with the wrong woman/mother.
