We stayed here for 3 nights in the king room and it was a comfortable stay. The room was an enough space for two adults and a 4 yo and was clean. Tv, mini fridge and a microwave not bad! Also a pull out sofa bed! Creaky but comfortable and not lumpy. The parking and breakfast is free and you have a pretty decent selection only missing cheese for the eggs. Coffee was really good for hotel coffee! The staff for the most part friendly and helpful! Except the landscaper. I was with my son in the pool and he started working around the property. Out of nowhere he started blowing and pollen and debris flies everywhere and I wave my hands to get his attention and he stopped. It's no problem we went back to pool fun and then immediately after he started blowing inside the pool area while we're are in the hot tub and then blew near our towels and bag at the table. I had no choice but to dust out stuff off and pack up because he continues to blow the pool and the other side while we were in there. It seems he wanted us to leave why else would he continue to blow while people are in a pool and hot tub? It was centrally located to lots of nearby attractions like Napa and Six flags are both 15 mins away. I'm definitely going to make it back this way again just for the ease and convenience.

This Fairfield is decently close enough to Napa to stay at when up in wine country, with plenty of space in the rooms (can definitely sleep up to 5 in a double queen room), complimentary parking and extensive free breakfast. I was really impressed by the breakfast spread - nothing fancy but options ranged from hot foods like scrambled eggs and sausages, to a waffle machine with all the fixings, plus cereal, pastries, and oatmeal. It was plenty to fill you up and save a trip out for breakfast. Staff was polite and courteous and we didn't have any issues with check-in or check-out. Bed was pretty comfortable and the room had a good amount of plugs that were easy to reach. Now the negatives - the facility is very obviously dated, while you can tell it has been renovated and the furniture refreshed, the elevator is atrociously old and slow (literally takes almost 30 seconds to travel between the second floor and the first). The TV was outdated and didn't really work properly when trying to use streaming services. The bathroom was large and spacious, but the lighting fixtures needed repair - one light was completely motion sensor only (no option for manual) which means it kept turning on and off unless you're in there doing a constant dance, and the other vanity light looked like it was going to short every time we turned it on (a lot of flashing & loud clacking noises). The walls are also paper thin, we listened to a couple fight for almost 2 hours in an adjacent room until well past midnight. That said, Fairfield is a decent budget hotel adjacent to the Napa area. As long as you know you will be getting a budget hotel experience, I don't have too many complaints.

Excellent hotel, slightly off the main road. Excellent staff. Very accommodating. Rooms spotless and new. Main areas spotless and new. Best Fairfield breakfast I have had.

The food (not mine) I found in the microwave. The room had the worst odor.

I was looking for hotels in Napa. Booking.com advertised this hotel as being in Napa city. Its actually 15 minutes away from Napa proper but it is in Napa county. I get over that drive the 15 minutes to the room the lobby smelled and in my room it was worse. Someone left food in the microwave. Obviously, I couldn't stay I had to make other arrangements.

Clean property. Nice size room with good amenities. Breakfast was nice. Plenty to close from and a friendly attendant. I was able to check in pretty early and needed some rest. Great shower. I would stay here again when in the area.

Welcome to a NAPA DUMP! For $421 per night, you get: - Dirty hallways, doors, and rooms - Noise at all hours of the night - Staff and Management that don't care All backed by the 100% Fairfield Inn Satisfaction Guarantee! Napa can make for a relaxing getaway, but not here! You will be woken up between 11 pm - 3 am, suites are studio size, and if you are on the first or second floor...prepare to hear Big Foot trampling around on the 3rd floor. Doors, carpet, and hallways are filthy, and guests will randomly blast techno in the hallway. I addressed this with the staff, but they never responded. Corporate says they get fined anytime a case is created, but they also expected me to spend the night in my car if I wanted to get a refund. They would rather absorb a $50 fine than refund $421...solid business practice. Essentially, they don't honor their 100% satisfaction guarantee and its every man for himself!

The place was so clean, probably the cleanest room I've stayed in! The maid (a filipino lady I wish i got her name) even came back to make sure everything was spotless. I told her that this was the cleanest/ best work I've seen! Such a sweet lady. And Stephanie, the front desk coordinator was super sweet and helpful!! Definitely recommend staying here :) and if you see this Stephanie thanks again for all your help!

Save yourself, don't do it! The price is definitely right but you get what you pay for. I'm our case, a view of a trashed sink, a television that wouldn't work and a spider crawling on the ceiling. I will never stay in this 2-star hotel again. The staff was trying to be helpful and friendly but the dirty vibe overshadows all else.

Great deal for the price - compared to the significantly higher cost at most Napa and Sonoma hotels, inns and B&Bs. The place is clean, the staff was friendly and the room offered all of the necessities - microwave, fridge, large flat screen TV, a couch and table in a decent sitting area and plenty of plugs for charging your devices. The outdoor pool is more than adequate, and offers lounge chairs, tables and umbrella coverage as well as a hot tub. Breakfast, which is about to undergo a major overhaul and upgrade was more than adequate. The lobby offered snacks, ice cream, and plenty of drinks for very reasonable prices. There is a small fitness center with a TV and guest laundry facilities. So where is the downside you ask? Travel time and depending on precisely when - traffic. Typical morning rush heading to Napa and Sonoma and the reverse from 4:30 to 6:30. In addition, American Canyon and nearby Vallejo do not offer the restaurant choices - there is distinct lack of top notch cuisine other than at the Carneros Inn about 15 minutes away. But if you are there for golf, and not commuting at prime-time, this is a great spot for all of Napa and lower Sonoma.

We love coming to Napa but we don't enjoy the prices so this hotel is a win. It's an easy 15 min drive to downtown Napa. There's places to eat around the hotel and close to grocery stores. There's ample free parking. They offer free breakfast that is sufficient. If you follow a strict diet there will be limited selection. There an outdoor pool and hot tub but we did not use as it was raining. Everyone at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The customer service is what you would expect from a Marriott. The room itself was spacious. We stayed on the 3rd floor, king room. It had a mini kitchenette, no dishes but it's nice to have a microwave, sink and counter if that's what you are looking for. There was noticeable, slight cracks and peeling in the bathroom but it didn't ruin the experience, although probably ready for a touch up to keep up to the standards. The shower pressure was not to my liking unfortunately but it was a clean shower which is always a plus. When we were there it was quiet but we did hear the room next door once so I imagine if you stay when there's a loud guest you will be able to hear. Overall I think this is a great option if you want to experience the Napa area without paying Napa prices. If you have that mindset you won't be disappointed.

Kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge

If you're vacationing in Napa but don't want to spend a fortune on hotel accommodations, the Fairfield Inn in American Canyon is an economical choice that's only 15 minutes away from downtown Napa. AMENITIES: ------------------ For just $99 ($87 room charge plus $12 tax), we got a room with better amenities than some pricier hotels I've been to. The room was homely and clean and had the following: * Queen sized bed * Flatscreen TV * Writing desk * Sofa bed with coffee table * Kitchenette with microwave and mini-fridge (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fairfield-inn-and-suites-napa-american-canyon-american-canyon?userid=U39tz4YSeYNOJ_CMxVWZtQ#eesTT1R5LlUMBLGovuchXQ) Other free amenities: * WiFi (unsecured) * Pool and hot tub * Tiny exercise room * Continental breakfast * Self-service parking out in front BREAKFAST: ------------------ The continental breakfast selection is pretty typical and includes milk, juice, muffins, bagels, toast, fruit, hardboiled eggs, and do-it-yourself waffles! The waffle maker was pretty fun to use - pre-made waffle batter goes in, hot waffle comes out! I think that was the first time I've ever made a waffle! (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/fairfield-inn-and-suites-napa-american-canyon-american-canyon?userid=U39tz4YSeYNOJ_CMxVWZtQ#XpF8t3z3tFFARMWolt_xeA) OVERALL: ------------------ We enjoyed our one night stay and were impressed with the large amount of amenities for the reasonable price. The view from our room wasn't great - just a boring field, but that didn't bother us too much (views aren't all that important when you're sleeping). We definitely appreciated being able to save some money, which allowed us to splurge a little in Napa!

Stayed here as a family of 4 - 2 adults & 2 teens - for a quick Spring Break trip to Six Flags…read more The property is stunning, and the location is fine, but as for 5 star Hilton/Doubletree standards I'm not convinced. Welcome cookies secured, we made our way to our room, a lovely 2Q with patio, past the resident ducks. The hallways *reeked* of marijuana, and then a door opened and an ankle biter dog came running at my kid & I. WHAT?!?! Didn't know it was party or pet friendly, and especially at this price point. Good: The room was fine, spacious & seemed clean. Bathroom was massive, I think we ended up with an accessible room. Beds were not the comfiest (especially after a day of rollercoasters!) and I noticed 1 of the locks on the patio french doors was missing, and the patio furniture outside was COVERED in spiderwebs. Wiped them off to use the table & chairs. The patio was nice to have, tho. Bad: The pool was FREEZING, not heated at all & the hot tub was easily 105-107°, dangerously scalding. You could barely dip feet in for a few minutes it was that hot. Bathroom was out of soaps in the dispensers, OK, we brought some. The wall temp unit RAN NOISILY ALL NIGHT, like constantly on, no matter what we set it to. Renovations are in place so there was tape outside on the patio. I agree with other posters that it needs a freshening up. There was no complimentary coffee or even cold brekkies/pasties in the lobby in the a.m, and the onsite restaurant wanted $6+/cup for coffee & the food was very expensive. At this room rate, I was surprised. For the price & conditions, I think a 1 night stay was OK for us, but our regular Marriott near Six Flags seems to offer better value & amenities.

This place feels like a quiet pact with the land. Rustic in the best way, where fog drapes itself…read moreover bare trees and stones like it belongs there. If you love camping energy without the chaos, nature without pretense, and that coastal hush where the air smells like earth and salt, this property understands you. The grounds are beautifully unpolished: mossy rocks, winding paths, skeletal trees silhouetted in mist. It's the kind of environment that invites slow mornings, layered sweaters, and long pauses where nothing needs to happen. Perfect for people who romanticize fog, coastal weather, and the liminal feeling between forest and beach. And then there's the restaurant, warm, grounding, and quietly excellent. The meal felt hearty and comforting without trying too hard: perfectly cooked eggs, crispy potatoes, good bread, and thoughtful accompaniments. Exactly what you want after a morning wrapped in cold air and contemplation. It felt cared-for, not flashy. Overall, this is a lovely choice if you're the type who enjoys nature as an experience, not a backdrop. Come here to reset, to wander, to eat well, and to let the fog soften your edges a little.

Thankfully, my wise and beautiful wife intervened and strongly suggested that we book a room at the Courtyard Vallejo Napa Valley (there was a discounted rate available for members of the wedding party). Since there was some construction taking place by the hotel, Google Maps misled us (the entrance of the hotel's parking lot is on the side of the hotel that faces the nearby Chevron). Entering the hotel, we were checked in by an employee who acknowledged me with a head nod. Generally I find this to be unprofessional, but I gathered that he was a little flustered by a difficult customer that he was assisting prior to us. After providing us with room keys, he gave me a parking pass to put on my dashboard (parking is $10). We entered a very clean room that had both a refrigerator and microwave (very beneficial considering that my wife and I brought our breakfast meal prep for the next morning), along with a nice view of the neighboring Six Flags amusement park. Speaking of the amusement park...the room was well-insulated; therefore, we could not hear the screaming of the patrons on the roller coaster that faced our room. I'm so glad that I took heed to my wife's advice, we experienced a comfortable and safe stay at the Courtyard Vallejo Napa Valley!

Our commute to the room was long (third floor and in another hallway, not necessarily bad just thought I would add that in) and cold. Getting into the room, we found that it was dirty: bedsheets had marks on it, bathroom counter was littered with product residue, a missing lampshade, mystery brown stains on the bathroom doorframe AND a fire alarm that did not have the battery in it and was malfunctioning, amongst other things. Naturally we went back downstairs to ask for assistance, the front desk attendant switched our rooms for us. And then began our commute back upstairs. Once we arrived in the new room, to our surprise, it was actually worse than our previous room. The bed was completely unmade from a previous client, there were white mystery stains on the armchair, a used soap sat on the sink and towels littered the bathroom. One thing that I have not mentioned was the access to the main attendant floor. Although our keycards worked and was very sporadic. It wouldn't work for the entrance from the hotel rooms into the main attendance room and sometimes wouldn't work for the elevator. Our front desk attendant was quiet and refrained. Starting with what's positive, the rooms are clean and modern. The complimentary breakfast is standard for Hampton Inn & Suites, which is also positive. The business center is not functional. To replicate the experience, get whatever desktop you were using in 1995 and try using the dialup software that came with it. Without exaggeration, it took 3 minutes to load the MS Outlook homepage. The desk staff is incompetent. If you told me that it their first day and they had 20 minutes of training, that would explain the experience. I can handle all of that. I don't expect perfection. I don't even expect competence. The rooms are nice and it had been a 4-star experience. What broke it for me was getting a call at 2:15 am from the front desk. I'm traveling. I'm tired. I have to wake up early. I need sleep. My job depends on it. My family depends on it. At 2:15 am, the phone in my room rang, blasting like an alarm clock. I answered because it must be an emergency. The caller identified herself as the front desk and asked if I called them.... No, I did not. Let's pretend that you have a good reason for not knowing if I called the front desk... how does this calculation work in your mind? It's better to risk blasting someone out of bed in the dead middle of the night than to risk an unreturned call? Why did you think that I called in the first place? If i did call and you didn't answer, why wouldn't I just call back? It's a symptom of the front desk incompetence; they found a way to elevate the impact from simple fumbling over basic job tasks to straight interruption of my stay. How many times would you have to be woken out of bed at 2:15 am before you wouldn't return to a hotel? For me, it's once. I have to assume that this specific problem doesn't happen to a lot of people, but I do have to assume that the lack of awareness from the front desk staff ripples out to all areas of the experience, as it did for me.
