Adrianna was the best. As soon as I arrived she was very friendly and got me in and out of check in fairly quickly. I always do my bookings through booking.com and I had selected a non smoking and for some reason booking screwed up. Adrianna was able to help me get that settled quickly with no hassle. You do have to pay a $50 deposit, which I paid in cash and when I went to check out this morning the lady went to check my room and refunded me quickly. This will now be our go to when we are back in Buttonwillow. The room was very clean as well as the restroom. The room did not have an iron or ironing board. The beds were very comfortable we slept so good and did not want to get out of bed. You are walking distance from a lot of fast food restaurants and gas stations.

Dirty condom under the bed, absolutely disgusting... Note to housekeeping: Clean under the bed

The front desk woman was very sweet who checked me in. The price and location of the room was good for what I needed. The room itself was mediocre but the saying holds much truth, "You get what you pay for." Pros: AC Location Affordable Hot water Great parking Fridge/Microwave Cons: Used condom under the bed...absolutely unacceptable and disgusting...I was checking under to see if I dropped anything before my departure and I saw something...so I made my way around to the other side and BAM there it was starring at me. Rollie pollies (pill bugs) roaming the room. I killed 2 flys that were basically indestructible, I must've killed them at least 3 times... Dirty shower and dirty floor Wifi doesn't work and you don't get service in the hotel (T-mobile)

    Wrap your remotes...at all hotels!

We came here as a stop on our way down from LA to the Bay area it was inexpensive and the reviews were decent. We had a king non smoking room. the room was sparse but it was clean we did we have a microwave and refrigerator which was nice the TV had basic cable we usually watch HGTV in the food Network and we are all set up in high definition. There is an ice machine there is also a pool there is no spa. you we were on the side facing Town not the side facing the freeway I can imagine you can hear some noise but nothing unbearable. The bathroom was clean but the stopper that allows you to take a bath did not actually stop the water so we had to go MacGyver on it to bathe our son. there's coffee in the morning but I don't believe there is a breakfast you may be able to spend a couple extra dollars and get a free breakfast at some of the other hotels in town. Speaking of the town there is a pretty good Indian food place a pretty good pupusas place and the diner there is decent. It is a trucker town with fairly cheap gas. As far as gas station stores your best bet is probably the ampm. I would go back as a quick sleepover. Wifi was good enough.

    Cockroaches

Worst place I have ever stayed. They had cockroaches all over the room and our van got broken into within the first hour. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

This is exactly what you expect for a $44 a night hotel. Old, in need of remodeling. The only reason we stopped was because my husband was not feeling well unexpectedly. The hotel smells of cigarettes smoke, the beds and linens are so worn out and torn. The lament wood flooring is warped and buckled in place. Food on the floor. This is not a nice place but I would imagine a cheap place namely for Truck Drivers that need a shower and some time out of their trucks For $44 a night, it is exactly what one should expect

The room smelled of cigarette smoke, then there were ash trays in the room with stickers of a pictogram of no smoking. This is insane, why would you supply ashtrays in the rooms? The phone had a piece missing, and in another room, the phone cord fell out of the handset. Towels are real small, ask for more bath towels from the get go. The door has two large gaps, plenty of room for archnoids to get in.

The lighting was lovely - had a romantic feel to it.

Studio 6 has more room amenities and both are owned by the same corporation behind Motel 6. Vagabond Inn is a budget friendly motel to say the very least. Rooms are smaller, amenities are on the frugal side, decor and room details are worthy of the two stars they get on average. The cleanliness is the only issue I am most concerned for. Floors do not feel clean enough for your bare feet, bathrooms seemed they were quickly given a once over before the room was turned over. Bathroom fixtures needed repairs, and most everything in the room just was well used. The remnant of cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room was also quite a annoyance. The staff is most understanding here and very kind. They were fast to accommodate a room change once I was not happy with my first room given to me. For a budget minding stay, Vagabond Inn is a good value if you really just need a place to rest and get cleaned up. The beds are comfortable and clean.

It is the least expensive place I could find. I told the clerk that second time the troubles I'd had and he said well you won't have any problems with this room. I went into the room, unpacked it smelled like cigarette smoke, and the bathroom wasn't too scary as the first night. However, after I had put everything in the room that I noticed there was water all over the floor and some sort of bio hazard the color of feces as well. I asked for a second room. They minimized the creepy effects, and I asked for a second room. I moved all of my stuff from one room into the new room. It appeared pretty decent. But the bedspread stunk. I spoke to the head manager the next morning, and she said she would get back to me in two days with a discount. She has yet to contact me. It's been a week. Frankly, the only thing missing from these rooms are used condoms and drug injectors. Absolutely not a family friendly inn. No stars

While the room was technically clean, the bed cover was stained, the drawers on the dresser were misaligned and possibly damaged, and the lighting was a super harsh white. The floors are CAKED in some black dirt deep within the floor boards. When you mopped the water turned black instantly. We had to use their towels and those turned black instantly. Someone punched a hole in the bathroom door. The door was falling off the hinges. This place does have black mold sometimes in the bathrooms sometimes in the A/C and sometimes in the vents. Yet this establishment instead of having any shred of integrity at all decided we were why that was. When in fact we fixed a lot of that just to sit down for a few weeks. Thanks motel 6 enjoy the 3000 ish dollars over 2 21 day periods. Also when we left the first time and came back they complained about the towels and sheets. I think they are racist. I think this is a descriminitory issue because the rooms were not clean. We cleaned them. We did their jobs. All they do is TAKE YOUR MONEY . FLIES EVERYWHERE THOUSANDS OF THEM. Looks like a plague fr. We just are able to endure a lot but people take our kindness for weakness but I dont know how many health violations I found off the top of my head. Good day and God Bless.

The curtains don't keep out the light, the bed is thin and uncomfortable, doesn't even have a fitted sheet, the shower stained blue(???) but I didn't use it after being told to turn on the water in a very specific way so as not to break the cheap plumbing. All the other big chain hotels were full - no vacancy anywhere on the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving. We found a vacancy here - but couldn't get into our room due to a card key/door malfunction. A new key and different room didn't work any better and the "maintenance manager" had to let us in with a master key. Clearly they are going for the "weekly" and "monthly" markets because they are doing some renovations where they are knocking down a wall between two rooms, putting a sofa and oversized crappy tv armoire in the other room. In fact, there were still open holes in the walls and crumbled sheetrock on the carpets. There are still two bathrooms (shower stall only) - and a distinct lack of sufficient overhead or task light. The controls for the thermostat didn't work well (one in each room) and the linens had clearly seen better days. We felt very fortunate that we did not end up with lice or bedbugs. The beds were so uncomfortable that we probably would have been better served sleeping in the car. We were so disoriented in the morning that we continued South on Hwy 5 instead of taking 58 east into Bakersfield as we intended, such was our haste to make tracks away from this awful hotel.
