    Toilet paper the maid missed.
    Brian K.

This is one of the dirtiest, noisiest motels I've ever stayed in. You should avoid this place at all costs. It's obvious the maid did clean the room very wee. If at all.... There were sticky spots on the floor, so I used a wet wash cloth to wipe them up with my foot. The floor was so dirty, it left a brown imprint of my foot. There was toilet paper stuck to the toilet, stains on the tub, stains on the bathroom door, and stains on the bathroom wall. I was staying for two days, so I asked the front desk to have my room cleaned again. They cleaned a few things but left stains on the bathroom door and wall. Pretty gross. The place is spitting distance from the freeway, so it's really loud. You're not going to get much sleep unless you bring ear plugs. Certain areas around the building, smell like sewage. There is a complimentary breakfast in the morning but it's kind of a joke. All they had were do it yourself waffles and coffee. They didn't have any utensils, butter, or cooking spray for the waffles. Obviously the staff doesn't care. Don't stay at this dump.

This is usually our go to when we come to Buttonwillow as it is only a 5 minute drive from my cousins house. We have not been here since Covid hit. We checked in Friday easy process as it usually is, Delsy (I think that's how you spell it) was so friendly from the get go. My issue was when we checked in we went to the room as shown in the pictures to see it a mess it was never cleaned. I went to the front to let Delsy know she fixed the issue right away with an apology. We got to the room now it was okay. I always bring my Lysol spray and wipes and cleaned before putting our stuff down. We also take our blankets and pillows. We had another issue last night, we came back from my cousins party and of course we were drinking and there was a roach crawling on the wall and a baby one on the floor. My husband killed them and said there's nothing we can do as we both drank we couldn't go anywhere. We did not see anymore bugs or anything so we slept. I reported it to the manager this morning and she didn't seem to really care. She said they called the exterminator, but it honestly did not look like it was a big deal to her as if she is use to this. I wish I would have read the reviews before hand and not assume that this place was still good from 3 years ago to now. It was a very disappointing visit, I only gave 2 stars because Delsy was so friendly and helpful. As for the first room not being clean, they need a better system to help the staff know what rooms are clean and which are not. This would make the process so much easier for the staff and customers to not have to be wasting each other's time, this is such an inconvenience for both parties.

Stay away at all costs I have never stepped into a hotel and walked out 5 minutes later, asked for a refund and ended up driving straight to San Jose from Arizona and we were beat! But in no way were we going to stay there. We finally arrived at a proper hotel in Sunnyvale, CA. Radisson is the place to stay. Stains, filth, flat sheets as fitted sheets, wrinkled and not changed from who knows when, bathroom, microwave smelled like curry we spent a total of 5 minutes there and got out of town. I get the shortage of people that don't want to work, then figure something out. Management and the corporate offices should take note we will never stay at your hotels ever again. How in in way can this pass a cleaning checklist. Who checks the work besides ummmm NO ONE! Stay the night in the parking lot in your car you will get sleep and not a disgusting room where you will wonder...will I take Roaches and bed bugs home this is your place.

Fill this with water and you'd have a polio pit

I don't want to give any stars. If I could give negative stars, I would. I'm writing this review in the middle of the night as I lay on top of my own blanket I brought from my car, as well as my own pillow. I've been driving for close to 8 hours with my dad, who has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was too exhausted to keep going for the night, so we stopped here to try and catch some sleep before getting on our way in the morning. Clearly I'm having difficulty sleeping here. The room is DISGUSTING. The floors are stained and have a dusty, sticky texture. The beds are lumpy and the bedding is stained. The towels are ALL stained. The bathtub is a breeding ground for disease. I need to use the toilet but after reading others reviews of roaches skittering during the night, I'll risk a UTI. My head and body skin keeps itching, and I'm hoping it's only in my mind and not from bed bugs, as others have described. The room smells musky and of urine. I am so grossed out, I don't think I'll fall asleep. While typing this, I felt something crawl on my right hand and I furiously swatted it away. Not sure what IT was, and I don't want to find out. My poor dad felt so bad about us staying here, but he fell right to sleep due to being so exhausted. If the cancer doesn't kill him, this place will. I'm almost tempted to sleep in the car, but I'm not sure I'd be safer outside. Praying the night goes fast and we can hightail it out of here. Going to need a huge cup of coffee to keep me going, and it's not going to come from the complimentary breakfast here. You couldn't pay me to eat from this place. $70/nt is WAY too much for this dump. Shame on me for agreeing to stay at a place with the word vagabond in the name.

We tried to stop here for the night, BIG MISTAKE! First the lady at the front desk Stephanie Nava was so rude. She gave us our keys and as soon as we walked into the room it seemed really dirty and it smelled funky. We were tired so we were going to brush it off but my husband decided to walk into the bathroom as soon as he did 3 roaches ran behind the toilet. And that was when we decided to walk away and keep driving, so we went to tell Stephanie to give us a refund and she rudely sed that "they get a lot of business". And that she was not going to give us a refund that it was up to hotels.com to give us a refund. When my husband mentioned the roaches she just brushed it off like it was nothing. I do not recommend this place at all. I don't even know how it's still on business.

    Under the sink area

The worst can't give a star!! It is quite that's a positive. The lady at the front desk was super nice. Rust coming out of faucets when turning on, needed to be run for a few minutes.

    Bed bug bites

DO NOT STAY HERE. Needed a place to sleep for the night after a long drive to LA. Chose this place, and wish I never did. The room was filled with bed bugs, roaches, dirt on the floor and walls, sticky residue, stained sheets, you name it this place had it. Flat out DISGUSTING. How this place is even operating is beyond me, it should be a health hazard. Ended up leaving and checking out after 2 hours. I have multiple bed bug bites all over my body from the 2 hours I was there. I asked for a refund while checking out and was told I have to talk to the manager about it first, plain ridiculous! I call the next morning to speak to Blanca, and she says she cannot refund me due to third party booking. So I call the third party, and they say they cannot reach her and will keep trying. This place deserves zero stars, and deserves some sort of lawsuit. Just look at everyone else's negative reviews, they all say the same thing. Shame on this place for letting people stay on these disgusting rooms. And If they decide to delete this post, I will keep re-posting it.

    Pool

This place is completely filthy. Bugs and flies everywhere, dirty as heck. I'll be shocked if I don't bring home bed bugs. PAY MORE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE if you can. That said, the woman at the front desk was lovely and changed our room 3 times. First room was absolutely disgusting, second room was a little cleaner but had hundreds of flies, third room wasn't quite as bad and still was loaded with flies. We decided to stay. My friend woke up with only one bite. Honestly, I slept fine with the lights on because we feared the roaches crawling on us in the dark night.

Bad experience. I booked through booking.com and apparently there was a mix up with my name (who booked it) and the guest staying with me. When the front desk couldn't find my name and I'm showing her the booking reservation she gave me "it's not my problem" attitude and did nothing to help figure out why the reservation wasn't showing. Once straightened out the room did not have sheets on one of the beds. Went back to the lobby where we were handed sheets and told they don't have staff to put the bed together. I counted 7 flies on the walls and ceiling the 1st night. Microwave didn't work, rooms don't have Kleenex and the tub had nasty brown stains in them. I get the room is just over $50 a night which is a god price but come on....

    Yellow stain

This had to be the most disgusting hotel room I have ever been in, I couldn't even sit down in the room cause it was dirty and smelt like cigarettes. The beds were for sure not cleaned. The pillows had dirt smeared across them, towels had brown marks like someone wiped their butt on it and they just hung them back up for the next person; and also the sheets had yellow stains and dirt all over, not to mention the holes in the sheets I'm assuming from cigarettes. Did I mention the American roach I saw on the wall? I didn't think so, I saw multiple roaches during our stay. And this was their "suit". I will be filing for a chargeback on my card. If I'm spending $65 on a hotel I expect it to be somewhat clean but this was disgusting !!!!!

A new key and different room didn't work any better and the "maintenance manager" had to let us in with a master key. Clearly they are going for the "weekly" and "monthly" markets because they are doing some renovations where they are knocking down a wall between two rooms, putting a sofa and oversized crappy tv armoire in the other room. In fact, there were still open holes in the walls and crumbled sheetrock on the carpets. There are still two bathrooms (shower stall only) - and a distinct lack of sufficient overhead or task light. The controls for the thermostat didn't work well (one in each room) and the linens had clearly seen better days. We felt very fortunate that we did not end up with lice or bedbugs. The beds were so uncomfortable that we probably would have been better served sleeping in the car. We were so disoriented in the morning that we continued South on Hwy 5 instead of taking 58 east into Bakersfield as we intended, such was our haste to make tracks away from this awful hotel.
