We stayed at Mossqutach for a few nights during a road trip. My family and I absolutely loved it. We chose a canvas tent with two beds, both of which included a trundle. Each site is very private and spaced apart comfortably. All include a picnic table, seating area, fire pit, covered trash bin, cooking shack and outdoor sink. The cooking shack well equipped with everything you could possible need including pans, disposable plates, paper towels, cooking spray, lighter, etc. There is firewood available throughout the property. The tent was clean and comfortable. We were located close to the showers and flushing toilet which was convenient. There are also many clean outhouses available throughout the resort. We enjoyed the hand built sauna as well as the private hiking trails on site. My kids loved the lawn games and zip line, as well as the bunnies running around the lawn. The entire property is very well thought out and you can tell how much thought and care has gone into it. The highlight for us was the camp host Ronnie. He was incredibly warm, welcoming, hardworking and extremely helpful. We also met the owner Jerry who was also very kind and as gracious enough to give us a peak at the cabins which were very cozy and well appointed. I could honestly go on and on. The property has many unique and fun elements that make this place very special. My kids didn't want to leave! We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Forks. The resort is only about 10-15 away from the town center where you can get gas and food. Thank you Ronnie and Jerry! We hope to visit again someday.

Shout out to Mossquatch Resort for an amazing glamping experience!! Comfy beds, propane heater in tent, cooking shack with everything you need, showers and flushing toilet, cleanest outhouse you'll ever find, trails, playground for kids. They're thinking of adding a hot tub and sauna next year!! I'll definitely be back!!

I can't say enough good things! This is my favorite campsite in Forks. It's close to my favorite beach and Olympic National Forest. The accommodations were outstanding. We slept so well each night and the beds felt just like home. We loved how simple and easy Mossquatch made our weekend. We didn't need our cooking gear, our tent or even chairs! All we needed were ourselves, our personals and our food. Fire wood is already on site, water is as well both for cooking and drinking. There are showers that are nice and toasty which was so nice compared to our regular set ups. Solar lights made star gazing easy but still kept our site well lit if we needed to get something or use the bathroom. Outhouses are at every site so it wasn't far and they smelled only of the wood they are made with. 100/10 recommend. I am so excited to visit this slice of heaven again!

The tent itself was spacious and the well placed outhouses were nicer than any rest areas I have ever been to.

We were then given the space next to the one we had booked and paid for. We had to share the electrical, water, and sewer connections with the motor home that was in our original site. This was very inconvenient since we had to "schedule" our sewer dumps, had low water pressure, had our electricity turned off while we were away site seeing (it could have been that the breaker blow with double power plugged in). We also compared notes with the couple who occupied our original site and were told by them that their site was given to someone else so they were given our site. This did not set well with us because it meant that the manager of the park had lied to us about why our site was not available to us. To make matters worse we had to stretch our two electrical cords to reach the plugin since it was so far away from our trailer. This resulted in our cord coming apart which required me to spend $100 to replace it. Their lying to us and making no effort to reimburse us partially for paying for a full hook up site that we did not get to occupy are the reasons that I will never book with this campground again. Honesty and an effort to make things right would have gone a long ways to giving them a higher rating.

SCAM ALERT!!! RUN…read moreAWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! Upon our arrival at 402 Kallman Road the day prior to check-in, there was debris in the yard. (Because we had reached out multiple times via phone and email to confirm our reservations and had not received a reply, we arrived a day early.) Still, the property is vastly different from the property listed on HomeAway.com, listing #7834193, which we paid $1,600.00 to rent from July 16th through July 23, 2019. While the owners have removed the listing, they haven't removed the Facebook listing that shows the resort named at the same (https://www.facebook.com/MichaelWolf998765/). The advertised "resort" depicted sunsets on the water, natural alcoves in a romantic setting, and a retreat-like atmosphere and included many 5-star "reviews" that sold us on the rental. We arrived to what appeared to be multiple unkempt, personal trailer homes for full-time residents, not a popular tourist destination created for vacation purposes. The buildings were broken down with peeling paint and were surrounded by discarded junk. The yard of this dilapidated property was strewn with broken furniture, a wet mattress, and garbage. We were overcome with anxiety; in person, the location felt dangerous and unsafe, like a place drug addicts and criminals might hang out. This was absolutely NOT what we had paid for and we were horrified, especially because our friends would be arriving and would not have a place to stay during high season on the Olympic Peninsula. Concerned for our safety, we left the premises immediately and scrambled to piece together other arrangements. After this initial experience, we communicated with the owner, Mike, who appeared to be high on drugs because his eyes were glazed and he rambled on at a fast pace about delusional nonsense. For example, he claimed he owned "the entire riverbed", that the rocks in the river are geodes that contain jade and sapphires. He also claimed that the garden shed was a rentable cottage. We have also been in touch online. At no time has he offered to refund any of the $1,600 he received on 5/17/2019, nor has he done so. Instead, he claimed he'd only rented us the backyard of this property and referred to his egregious, fraudulent misrepresentation as a cancellation on our part. After we made a complaint to the Attorney General Mike sent my friends text messages threatening to have us arrested for slander as well as offering to refund some of our money " I will follow my attorneys advice on a refund" if we would take our reviews of our experience down from google reviews. Upon closer investigation, we learned that the sellers have multiple identities. Michael Bradham of Northern Approaches LLC is actually Michael Wolf, as noted from his Facebook page, where he lists both his real name AND being the owner of Northern Approaches, the company who scammed us. The same is true for Sharice Paris, who is on the Northern Approaches emails - her real name is also Wolf. More importantly, we learned that the 5-star reviews that accompanied the beautiful, fake photos, and which had been the deciding factor in our decision to rent the property, were fraudulent as well! Michael and Sharice both wrote separate, exemplary reviews as if they were guests at the resort rather than the owners. Additionally, Dustin Crear, who according to his Facebook page is their employee, also provided a fraudulent, 5-star review. In fact, every review on the property came from the Port Angeles area where they live and Sarah Sullivan, another reviewer, bears an uncanny resemblance to Sharice. Clearly, we are victims of a scam. Not only were we robbed of money, but also of precious time with our friends.

A Wonderful Stay at Manitou Lodge in the Heart of the Forest…read more Our family stayed at Manitou Lodge in March, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The drive through the forest to get there was stunning--lush greenery and breathtaking scenery--but do be aware that it gets very dark at night. Thankfully, the lodge itself was well-lit, making it easy to find our way and locate our room. We stayed in a double room inside the main lodge, and the setup was perfect. The entrance to our room was conveniently located off the main lodge area, making it easy to come and go. The space was cozy and well-equipped, with a dining area, a small fridge/freezer, a microwave, and in-room coffee--always a nice touch! Dishes and silverware were provided, which was great for quick meals, though if you're staying more than a day, just note that there isn't a dedicated spot for washing them. Beyond the accommodations, the entire atmosphere of Manitou Lodge and its surroundings was simply magical. Nestled deep in the forest outside of Forks, it felt like a peaceful retreat, yet it was also a fantastic home base for exploring the Olympic Peninsula. Everywhere we went, from the lodge to the nearby landscapes, was absolutely breathtaking. If you're looking for a beautiful, relaxing stay surrounded by nature, Manitou Lodge is an excellent choice. We had an amazing time and would absolutely stay here again!

Scam. Everything…read morefrom the host's poor communication and unprofessionalism, to the super creepy Ring camera that records you go to the bathroom in the pitch dark SO CREEPY!  (more on this later) But if only that were it! DECEPTIVE. They listed an "entire cabin" "with bathroom", and it turns out that I just booked a private room, with a public outdoor restroom that anyone could walk up and use. FILTHY. I'll leave pictures, but there's cobwebs a foot away from your face where you sleep, the bathroom had dead mashed spiders on the walls, the showers don't get cleaned (weird blue stuff), there's exposed insulation foam on the ground right by the front door under the sink (so much for dog friendly, this could kill your dog). And a random sink on the ground near the fire pit? What? NO WIFI. I got full on bait and switched. The wifi network provided in the ROOM (manitoulodge2) didn't work, and I was told to go to an entirely separate building to work. Unbelievable. That's another thing, if you look at the listing, the "lodge" refers to 1)your cabin 2)the entire property "Manitou lodge" or 3)the "great room" /main lodge. They told me the listing provides that wifi is only available in "the lodge" (the main lodge, a separate building) and denied any obligation to provide wifi in the actual room you booked. Really unbelievable, and it felt like a deceptive listing. Thus, NO WIFI in the lodge you booked. POOR COMMUNICATION: the host stopped replying to my wifi issue, leaving me to troubleshoot my devices all night, and gave no eta of fix, and I ended up wasting hours due to their poor communication. Even as I was about to check out, it was still not fixed. They deflected and made excuses the entire trip. It was very unpleasant and difficult. I had to rearrange all of my plans for the weekend due to their lack of communication. I tried to meet them halfway and went to "the lodge" (the main lodge), but the wifi didn't work there either. I provided proof many times (as best I could with spotty service) but received no helpful solutions. (And before they reply about me not going to the entirely separate bulding, I did, theres many bars but no internet still (pic attached). BOOKING PRICE DOES NOT INCLUDE FEES. (They demand it upon arrival). Their listing looked cheaper than everywhere else this way, but it ended up being much more expensive. So much unprofessionalism and dishonesty. Also, it's not in their listing but entrances require stairs, are not disability accessible, and the front desk and cabin requires stairs. They also get extremely slippery. I'm not leaving this review to be mean, it's genuinely concerning that they'd try to run their lodging like this. It's really not acceptable, and I hope that they take another one of these reviews as constructive criticism and take some semblance of responsibility. I hope people know that there are better options in the area. As for the creepy cameras, I'll attach pictures, but they turn on every time you exit the door of your room. It's hard to believe that this is after the fix. It's still super creepy. The camera is obscured when you open the door of the cabin at that angle, but fully picks you going in and out of your cabin every time,) and is pointed directly at the bathroom. I'm really not a fan of a dude watching me every time I make my way out of my room to the bathroom. The listing made it sound like they were normal security cameras, and I was stupid enough to give the benefit of the doubt. Nope. It would have been more relaxing to stay home. Honestly. I wish I stayed home. If you're like me, you're going to be stuck without connection in the middle of nowhere trying to ask airb to get you a different place, (but no wifi lol) and driving in and out of town and having all of your vacation plans ruined. Absolute Nightmare.
